This hotel had many good points - location was great, interior was very modern, very clean, staff very friendly, rooftop area was a major plus and hair dryer was amazing. However, there are a few reasons we would choose not to stay at any motel one hotel in the future. Firstly, the room was far too small. We had one large suitcase and found it very difficult to manoeuvre around the room with it open and there was very little usable hanging space therefore had to keep the case open at all times. Secondly there was no kettle in the room and thirdly no fridge. In a hot country, particularly where you cant drink tap water i find this unacceptable. We considered buying a kettle but couldn’t store milk anywhere. Staff were helpful in providing hot water each morning but that shouldn't have to be the case. I appreciate i should have read up to check there was both a fridge & kettle in the room, as we would not have chosen to stay with at this hotel if i had known, but unfortunately i will not be staying at a motel one again unless these were to be added in.
Check in was a bit harrowing, as they struggled to find my reservation until I was able to produce my confirmation email. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, however in retrospect not ideal for business travel due to lack of space to hang clothing and to iron garments. I would strongly suggest that you put fans in the bathrooms. As much as we are environmentally conscious, we did not re-use the towels as they do not dry out in between uses, and thus requested fresh ones daily. A fan would allow for less moisture in the room. Housekeeping also did not provide fresh cups each day. Bed was thoroughly comfortable. All in all, good value for the price and suitable for vacation stay.
Great spot. Great reception staff. Very clean. The rooms are a really squeeze for two so it is unfortunate that all rooms are same size. Two need room to at least open two suitcases to work well. The bar was over priced and not friendly. the morning coffee was terrible. The roof top area is not well designed laid out and the lighting is horrible. But we would definitely recommend staying with you since all the important things were great.
very good location near to Brussels Central Station and the city center, clean and quiet room, very friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast, although the breakfast area is rather large in comparison to other motel ones it is sometimes very crowded
nice room, maybe a little more space next to the bed as a bedside table would be appreciated
Conveniently situated but really only suitable for a short stay - not one where one wants to unpack. In my first room the only shelves were above my head height. The second room did have accessible shelves but they were in a very dark alcove. I needed my phone torch to see what I placed on the shelves.

First and foremost, the staff and facilities are top-notch. Each time we had a question or needed help, someone was always there to happily help us out. The location speaks for itself. Motel One is situated such a convenient location for everything you want to do in Edinburgh. I could not recommend the hotel more and hope to be back someday. Cheers for a fantastic stay!

A good hotel with some reservations as mentioned below. Absence of electrical things - sockets, kettles, fridge.
Great location and feel to the lobby and hotel. But the staff are amazing and make this a hotel to return to.
I really liked Motel One because always the rooms are so great. And the breakfast is wonderful. And always the hotels are really in the city centre. And the bar I mostly like. Most of it was also here in the hotel good arranged. But I was a bit confused about the breakfast. That was very small in assortiment of all the food that was available. In the weekend also there was a moment during breakfast that there was no bread for half an hour. And why doesn’t had this motel One no gym? It is a huge hotel, why not that accomodation in the Brussel City Centre? So I am enthousiast about Motel One in general but this what a bit a setback, a disappointment.
We loved our stay at the cloud one hotel and will definitely return.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The king bed made the compact space very tight, a queen bed might have fit better. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I use this hotel on my way back to the US, there are restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast in the morning is marvelous, unfortunately is not included and parking is not free.
As usual an excellent stay - good service and comfortable.

Comfortable stay and convenient location
We loved the location, the room and also the super friendly team.
We had to leave early as hubby was unwell but room was very clean n tidy. Very quiet also which is always good. Only issue was, the air con didn’t seem to work and as a lady of a certain age, I defo need the air con. Other than that great. Staff very friendly as always.
- the room was over all very nice and clean, though there were some spots with dust (dust-threads on the ceiling, some corners). - the breakfast was good, all standard things were there, nothing extraordinary (I'm personally a fan of warm breakfast, but I understand, that this is potentially logistically challenging) - I had two sets of towels in the bath, even though I only needed one set as I booked single. This could be improved for sustainability, if the service staff knows which rooms are booked single or double. - On the topic of sustainability, I liked the option to foregoe room service. I also like the (now standard) notices about optionally not changing the towels everyday. I did not experience whether you actually follow those (most other hotels I have seen those notices at, sadly did not). - I liked the fireplace on the TV when I came into the room, it made it quite cozy. - If it is not a fire hazard issue, decoration in the staircase (paintings or similar) could invite more people to take the stairs instead of the elevator.

I stayed for two nights, it was impossible to sleep! The air conditioner didn't work, there was no fresh air, Unsuitable thick blanket, synthetic bedding. Very noisy, noise from the street all night. You can hear chairs being pushed from the restaurant downstairs. Earplugs not provided.Bad experience, I will never return

Have stayed here before always great staff always helpful, great bar and fab drinks for pre or post walk around the city would definitely recommend :)

The room and location were perfect. Breakfast was definitely worth it. Overall I would stay again.
Very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and hotel, the location and the value for money. Room was a bit small (only one chair and not much space for more than one small piece of luggage). The pillows were very uncomfortable - one far too soft (could be scrunched into a ball) and one far too hard (barely depressed on impact). I feel medium pillows should be supplied, and people should request soft or hard if they wish. It was very uncomfortable. I requested these to be changed and the member of staff at the desk was immediately helpful, sending a message instantly to action this, but these were not changed, so there was an obvious lack of communication somewhere - perhaps a better method required than just sending a message on an app? Nevertheless, the rest of the stay was pleasant.

it was a really nice stay in Amsterdam. Good location, close to the city centre but not in the mess, stuff and else we perfect, I would definitely stay here again! the only thing that was really annoying me was that the room felt a bit cold, and we couldn’t warm it up using the air conditioner.
Very welcoming and helpful reception staff and incredibly convenient for Glasgow Central station. The room was good/bed comfortable - feedback for the management is that it would have been wonderful to have instructions for the TV and a small pad of paper. Trains were disrupted during my visit and there were lots of alternatives to consider. I was jotting them down on the only paper available - the edges of the key holder. This is a German chain - as a nod to being in Glasgow it would be nice to reply to UK emails in English (the confirmation email addressed me in German first).

A modern and clean hotel in a great location. The hotel staff is very kind. Beautiful view of the city from the room with a balcony. I would choose this hotel again!
I know it’s really petty, but it has to be said. The rooms are small, with no storage for your clothes and nowhere to put your suitcase, so you are effectively living out of your bag for the duration. The curtains do not block daylight effectively, and the walls are paper-thin, allowing noise to pass between rooms. Unfortunately, our keycards failed every day, and again, unfortunately, the desk staff, although very helpful, were not well-trained and lacked experience.
I thought the breakfast was poor. If you didn't want bread, you were generally left with little else. Some useable oats beyond a plastic ready made cup of porridge was a bit miserable. Allowing people to make a nice oat mix alongside dried fruit, seeds and yoghurt would have been much better. It was difficult to know what they were doing there with so little to serve them with. I have a nut allergy - I generally don't need to flag it because there is sufficient choice, but your museli and granola were off limits, and as I say the porridge was poor. The only fresh fruit was just chopped apples. Reception staff were excellent: organised and welcoming. The room was fine (but if you're providing a desk in the room, provide a chair with a back please).
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms but woken through night by another rooms dog barking. Suggest you allocate an area for pets separate from those who have no pets and want a peaceful night.

Check in and booking was smooth process. Unfortunately upon entering the room we were met with an incredibly foul smell! We opened the window and left the room for a while but when arriving back the smell remained just as bad. We requested a room change which reception facilitated. We however should never have been put in that room to begin with, as the smell was very obvious and apparent the room should have been taken out of service until professional cleaning could take place.
From check-in to check-out, staying at Motel One in Riem is a pleasant and practical experience. All staff is friendly, procedures are easy, the room is clean, comfortable, and quiet. Restaurants and shops are in the immediate vicinity.

This place was clean and kind of fancy looking, like, a nice room. They provided toiletries. They take a £50 deposit from you when you arrive, on top of the room fee, so heads up on that. I bought a bottle of sparkling water from them which turned out to cost £4.50. The thermostat was hard to control in the room and it was far too hot, the default setting should be much lower. There was a huge mirror right next to the head of the bed, a bizarre design choice which meant you could see your creepy reflection in the dark. So some good things and some uncomfortable things.
We recently stayed at Motel One on the Royal Mile for my partners birthday overnight stay away! What a wonderful hotel with beautiful decor! Our room was so comfy and the perfect location for a night out on the town! Would definitely stay here again next time we're up in the Capital! Thank you for an amazing stay!!!
