The reception area is adorned with hand-woven rugs, designed by a former apprentice of Dries van Noten, a Belgian fashion designer. At the hotel bar, the classic checked pattern comes to life and lets them shine in all their glory. The waterfront area is very impressive and you should not miss it. The Groenplaats, a busy square near the Cathedral of Our Lady, is a well-known photo subject. The Diamantenviertel (Diamond Quarter) can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot. You’ll find it around the corner of the impressive building of the central railway station. Did you know that Antwerpen-Centraal railway station has been voted one of the most beautiful stations in the world? And if you’ve had enough of historic buildings and sparkling diamonds, you’ll find the Antwerp Zoo and the Chocolate Nation museum right next to the tracks. Look out, another superlative!
