Amazing hotel great bed and pillows. Location perfect and quieter
Loved the courtyard bedrooms, very quiet at night. Lovely bar and lovely breakfast
Good location, friendly staff, good prices!
Very pleasant, nice lobby, good rooms, comfortable beds. Zero problems.
way to espensive
Cleaning personal is very friendly and hardworking. My room was very clean. Personal in the reception is not so kind. Specially Giuseppe is very arrogant and unpolite. He has no idea about good service or nice manners. He prefers primitive behaviour and taunted me on purpose. I wonder how he is allowed to work such an important position in a hotel.
The area especially during night time was unsecured. The rate was higher than other hotels of motel one.
Love Motel One, design - location - price rate is the best.
Good location and great well designed rooms - nice area in lobby. Most staff efficient but friendly. Couldn’t turn off the underfloor heating in the bathroom even though it was 36c outside!
Beautiful hotel and staff, garbage can needed in lobby area. Too many of the same beggars sitting on hotel property front entrance window areas.
This was the best Motel One that we have stayed in with regards to being spotlessly clean, very well designed and chic, and ideally located. The reason for the inadequate 1 score was entirely due to the room air condition being totally ineffective / non-existent / broken?? After the first night, I reported the issue to the front desk and a technician was sent to the room. Unfortunately, there was no improvement and the room remained far warmer than the common areas and even the outside. While you could get a few C relief by fully opening the windows, you still couldn't sleep due to the room being still way too warm plus then you got the expected typical city noise. Apparently there were no other options, so we remained in the room for the next few nights. in retrospect, this was a poor decision on our part as we should have cancelled the room and went elsewhere as the discomfort and lack of sleep took its toll and diminished the experience of touring the wonderful and beautiful Munich. I would possibly consider staying at this hotel again but only in the cold months of the year.
We searched for a hotel specifically guaranteeing air conditioning expecting Munchen to be hot in the summer. We loved the hotel lobby and front desk staff. However for three days we asked for help with our room air conditioning. At all times our room was warmer than the hotel hallway even after 24 hours of running the A/C at 10 degrees! The maintenance person said he fixed it but we were overheated at night and could not sleep. Very sad about that as we would have otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Very good value for money, very centrally located, easy to reach most parts of the city's main sites, the main station and public transport options by foot
We had a very small room, the air conditioning wasnt good so we opened the window. Very noisy street at night. The safe wasnt working either. Staff not particularly helpful
Friendly staff, clean room, easy check-in and out.
very nice customer service. Room was nice except no coffee maker in room and only 2 paper cups in bathroom, no glasses or mugs. Th bed was comfortable.
Everything perfect except for room size
Perfect for our needs. Very good Staff in all parts of the hotel. Nice breakfast. Quiet. Good location and excellent for visiting Munich. Nice bar. We had no car so perfect for us. Will come again. Thanks.
Location is great, room was quiet and comfortable, lobby is very nicely designed. Room was a bit smaller than you'd normally expect but that is not untypical for motel one, and it was still well layed out. I wish they had more indirect lighting instead of the harsh lamps by the bedside. The under floor heating in the bathroom couldn't be turned off, which made the room a bit warm especially in summer. The shower hose that connects to the shower head was leaking, something I didn't really except in newly opened hotel as there shouldn't have been any wear and tear like that yet. Also the TV just turned on automatically and played relaxing music, when you entered the room and inserted the card for electricity. Unfortunately, it didn't do anything else. The screen was always black and I wasn't able to change it to anything else with the remote.
Another wonderful stay at Hotel One. This hotel is relatively new and in a great location. As always, it was immaculately clean, and the staff were lovely. Wherever possible, we return to Hotel One Hotels, as they are great value and consistently good.
Very nice clean room. It's very close to transportation. Wish if they offer Electrical adaptor for international guests. room Price really great
Service poor, employees poorly trained
Great property, 5 mins walk from main train station. Comfy beds, extremely quiet, spotlessly clean. The rooms are on the small side, but perfectly ok for a one or two night stopover.
I love motel one but we had a few glitches. First of all this motel is a lovely oasis in the hubbub around the train station. Reception was lovely. However our toilet seat was not attached and slid treacherously almost landing me on the floor. As it was evening, there was no housekeeping. Also our door locked but the extra bolt didn’t work. And the room was hot and it was not possible to regulate the temperature without opening a window (I find this latter issue common to motel ones ) Having said that, the issues were one off and I would happily return.
Great location. Nice decor. Good value. NO A/C!
super nice staff, excellent location
Silent and comfortable room (as usual at motel one). The digital aquarius with ambient music helped me relaxing. I loved it
Very Good location and clean
Stay ok, Customer Loyality not OK, as I am - as many others - are forced to book hotels via 3rd party providers (like HRS, Hotel.de, etc.), Motel One is not granting recognition for such stays and bookings. Means next time it does not matter for me to book Motel One or any other suitable hotel in the surrounding.
I stayed in a Motel One in Frankfurt 20 years ago and swore never to do so again...the rooms were inadequately furnished and the common area crowds were overwhelming. But Flemings was booked and I felt I had no choice. Still I came away with the same conclusion about your current offering. I stayed in six other hotels in Germany in 10 days and Motel One was the second poorest value. I'm not price averse, I just want to get service and quality when I pay.
Was so excellent and wish to come again in feature
Very comfortable, super clean, and extremely friendly check in and bar staff. Clean room, quality linen and beds.
Good value for money; great location. Good breakfast.
Very nice hotel. Walking distace to everything we wanted to see. Very quiet even if the hotel is next to Hauptbahnhof. Clean and smart rooms, great bar with great coctails and the breakfast was great. Everything simply great.
The location was great since we arrived via rail. The room was clean and everything was functional. The staff were pleasant and professional.
All was wonderful
Nice and new hotel nearby the central station. Rooms are well equipped and suficient for small stay. Also rooms are very silent even towards the road. Only thing to complain that I was not able to control the air condition (too warm).
Very friendly and competent staff.
Excellent location and a lovely lobby
It was in a strategic location (Hauptbahnhof), had a good breakfadt, and comfortable beds.
No fridge in the room and no bacon for breakfast. But quiet and cleen room.
Not my first stay at Motel One. Hence why I returned. High standard. Very comfortable room. Great and comfortable bed. A well-sized room with a table, mirrors and wardrobe with enough hangers for two people. Bathroom also well equipped with good water pressure. Two things which were a little disappointing - 1. I booked two single beds but we were given a double bed which was uncomfortable for me and my 24year old son. I was told that you don't do single beds which I thought was odd 2. Our TV in room 120 wasn't connected. I reported it 3 times to reception but issie was never resolved. It was no big deal for a 2 night stay but I expected matter to be addressed since I like to see the news on TV usually when I'm in the hotel room. Reception were still very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thanks and warm regards, Ray Calleja
Well placed for those travelling by train. Also close to city centre with restaurants and sights nearby. Nice hotel. Breakfast was good, as it always is at Motel One hotels.
Very comfortable bed, great lounge area. My one issue was Room was too stuffy at night, no air conditioning. I asked reception but they said it is only turned on during the summer.
Its a nice and clean hotel. The lobby was styled in a very classy way. Our room felt extremely minimal, it was just enough, but nothing more. We feel some basic where missing from the room, the biggest "discomforts" being: * Some water glasses would have been nice (For things like drinking medication at night etc) * Perhaps another pillow, or even a firmer pillow (the bed was very comfortable, but the sleep was not so good due to having almost no neck support from the pillows provided)
Our room was comfortable with all we needed. Somewhat confined but very well designed. The foyer was absolutely outstanding! I just wanted to spend my time there...great bar, excellent breakfast, just a great place to hang out...we would certainly stay again!
A very clean, nice hotel in excellent location (just beside the central train station near the stop of the Lufthansa Airport Express bus). There is a bar inside the hotel and a very comfortable lounge. The room we had was a bit small but very quiet with a window to the inner yard. Very polite staff, too with a real reception desk that is actually available, even at night.
I am a big MotelOne fan. They score on location, value for money, quality of the beds, cleanliness throughout, breakfast offering, bar/lounge area, helpfulness of staff, design and ambiance. The rooms are small but very well designed. The Munich Hauptbahnhof hotel was true to the brand, a great location offering proximity to the Hauptbahnhof and a short walk to the Marienplatz and the kay sights.
Fantastic stay
good room for good price

Hotel Munich-Hauptbahnhof
The design hotel Munich-Hauptbahnhof in the centre of the city
Welcome to Munich, the capital of Bavaria and probably the most beautiful city in the state. And you can hardly be more central than in our new city hotel, Motel One Munich-Hauptbahnhof. And as the name suggests, it’s just a stone’s throw away from the train station. From here, it is only a short walk to Karlsplatz (also known as Stachus, the beginning of the pedestrian zone), as well as to Marienplatz, Theatinerstrasse and Odeonsplatz.
Are you visiting Munich for Oktoberfest? Then it’s best to book your accommodation at our hotel at the main station straight away, as the festival tent area on the Theresienwiese is also within walking distance. If you want to explore places that are a little too far away to walk to or are not in the city centre, there are buses, trams, underground and local trains right on your doorstep. Its location isn’t just ideal for a city trip – it makes your arrival to the city so much easier. From Munich Airport, it takes just under 45 minutes by local train (S-Bahn), and getting there by ICE or regional train is super easy.
But the central location isn’t just an advantage for tourists and concertgoers – business travellers will also appreciate the benefits of this affordable design hotel at the central station. Thanks to its excellent transport connections, meeting and office locations can be reached quickly. At the same time, green spaces such as the English Garden, the Olympic Park and the Isarauen (recreational areas on the banks of the Isar) invite you to relax after a stressful day at work.
Sophisticated design at the Hotel Munich-Hauptbahnhof: between King Ludwig II and Modernism
Speaking of green spaces, the design of this hotel is centred around all things green. An allusion to the legendary winter garden of King Ludwig II, mixed with hints of the creative pop-up gardens of the city of Munich, creates a unique ambience in the hotel. For a bit of background, let’s dive briefly into the city’s history. Beginning in 1867, King Ludwig II had a private conservatory built onto his residence that was to embody a kind of tropical paradise. In addition to numerous plant species, an artificial lake and swans were also to be found in the large grounds.
And this unique magical world on the roof of his residence is reflected not only in the many plants in our hotel, but also in the floral patterns of the chairs and armchairs. The lamps that have been set up in the lobby, created with great attention to detail, are reminiscent of large leaves and plants, creating a cosy atmosphere. Another highlight of the hotel is the bar: here you can discover an interpretation of a garden pavilion, as well as a portrait of King Ludwig II.
The stylishly designed hotel offers a relaxing oasis amid the hustle and bustle of Munich’s central station. The centre of our lobby is also intended to resemble a pop-up garden – a welcoming space that invites you to stay a while, even though the lively city is right in front of the large entrance door.
You’ll find out just how lively when you explore Munich, as there is so much to discover. The best way to plan your stay in the centre of Munich is by making use of our free Wi-Fi at breakfast, while enjoying our selection of organic products and delicious coffee or tea. This means there’s little chance of missing out on the most important sights. Thanks to the hotel’s excellent location in the centre of Munich close to the central station, you can easily explore art, culture, cafés and museums. It also means that in the evening, you’re never far away from a bar or the Munich night-life. For culinary highlights, you also don’t have to walk far to find what you’re looking for. With its ideal location close to the city centre, there’s something for everyone.
And if you just want to go back to the hotel after a long shopping spree or a busy work day full of meetings, you can enjoy a last nightcap at our hotel bar. Then it’s up to your room – with anti-allergy pillows and duvets available on request – for a restful night’s sleep. We look forward to welcoming you to our design hotel in Munich!
