Nice clean rooms friendly employees. breakfast could be on better tabels/chairs instead of eating on lounche chairs.

All in all ok. Bar might be too close to hotels rooms and a local beer from another federal state - I mean there is beer from Magdeburg available. Some more chairs and desk for breakfast would be great - I don't find breakfast in lounge furniture very comfortable.
A very pleasant hotel in a quiet area, very well located. Delicious breakfast, clean room and bathroom. I had a very pleasant stay.
I like to thank the ladies at the hotel bar in the lobby, they served us 2 nights very late (after 01.00 still) with so much energy and friendliness. Really appreciate it!

I loved my stay. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I had the best view ever towards the festival grounds and the bathroom and bed were absolutely wonderful. Especially the pillows. I like the no service option to not unnecessarily waist resources. The breakfast buffet was great and even good pricing for a only breakfast guest. The only criticism is quite personal, the breakfast aerea was overwhelmed with a full hotel. I guess it's normally more of a business hotel and not so crowded al lat once but the low coffee tables and big chairs while looking nice are not realy made for a breakfast, more for the kittle coffee. And the real tables on the windows could not take all the guests.

Overall good Breakfast eggs inadequate, half cooked only, no scrambled eggs. For 18,50€ one could have expected a bit more.
It's a nice hotel, and there are no surprises if one is familiar with the MotelOne concept. I was travelling alone, and everything was fine to excellent. I can recommend this hotel, and it will be my first choice when visiting Magdeburg again.
The room was just way too small. No space to put anything, not to mention suitcases. 2 people can't even move freely in one room. Breakfast was simple and sufficient, but over priced.
In general it was a nice stay, but the breakfast was a little bit poor.
The location, room, and value were very good and we would choose Motel One Magdeburg again. However, the purchased self-serve breakfast was insufficient for the price charged.
Very friendly teams and very nice hospitatlity
I stayed in an odd wing of the building, next to the reception's door. Room felt very un-cosy because it's big yet very sparsely furnished - a bigger desk, a proper chair, a larger armchair, bedside lamps that are not so low, and a newer model TV (like other Motel One) might improve its appearance. It cost more to stay in this room than the ones in the modern wing, I'd rather stay in a smaller room that feels much more cosier. There is also no mobile phone reception inside my room.

Overall experience was good but on the 8th in the evening I asked for a water to the receptionist (a lady with orange hair) and she had been very unpolite. Some of the other employees have been friendly but that specific was terrible and ruined my experience at the hotel
Every time I return to Magdeburg I seek the possibility to stay with the friendly team at Motel One. Location is perfect in the city center, rooms are very nice and always clean. Breakfast is delicious and well dimensioned. If I should say something on the negative side it would be that the price both for the rooms and for breakfast have gone up in a steep way.

It was our second stay at Motel One this August. We were greeted by the same lovely gentleman who spoke great English and was very helpful at checking in especially that we don’t speak German at all! All Staff have been absolutely amazing. Every time we needed anything, they were there to assist. Not to mention going an extra mile for us (we were super tired after the long journey) with preparing some sandwiches late in the evening! Thank you very much for being so kind and also for offering water bowls for our dogs - such a lovely gesture and made us all feel very welcome. We will definitely be back! :) Anna&Bart + Ozzy&Cooper

The hotel has a great location, the people at the reception, bar and breakfast service are very friendly and accommodating. The bar has a lot of very good drinks to choose from and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. The hotel is very clean and there are parking lots available the garage beside the hotel. Easy to access. The rooms are nice and clean and our rooms (Mom and me) were silent although being on the side of the hotel facing the road. I deducted one point from the room review because the aircondition in my room didn’t seem to work as well as in my moms room although they were at the same setting and the water pressure in my room was a little low. Not having a place to store clothes still works out good. The breakfast was very nice ( a lot of things to choose from). A great thing is the question at the beginning about the cleaning of the room. To be able to choose that you don’t need cleaning and new towels every day is a great idea and is a plus for sustainability. All in all a very nice stay in the motel one and we are looking forward to staying there again.

We stayed at Motel One in Magdeburg after a long car journey from the UK, with our two cocker spaniels (1/08). The hotel and its staff are lovely! The location is just perfect, breakfast was a great value with lots of options. I was greeted by a very attentive and friendly gentleman who looked after the area very well. We absolutely loved the soundproofing which is really important if you want a good night sleep. Looking forward to stay with you again in two weeks time :)

Well designed great value for money hotel. Friendly staff with excellent English for any English speakers travelling in Germany. Lovely internal courtyard area for breakfast outside on one side. Great views of Cathedral and Square on other side. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would be a good simple addition to increase the score from and 8 to a 10/10.

Good overall. Great location. Only negatieve is that this room was just far too small. No way to unpack or store anything WiFi is unprotected. That seems to be a trend in hotels but that exposes your guests to hacking etcetera. Not really acceptable for a responsible hotel.

The One Lounge of our Motel One Magdeburg is a stylish combination of science and design. It is based on the air pressure experiment by Otto von Guericke, a physicist and native of Magdeburg, to represent the scientific tradition of this city. A tailor-made lamp based on Guericke's original laboratory equipment illuminates the One Lounge; its walls are adorned with images depicting his air pressure experiments. Sit back and relax in our comfortable armchairs while taking in further details of his work – it’s all in the wall design. Our affordable hotel is located directly next to Magdeburg Cathedral and the state parliament, making it the perfect base for a tour of Otto von Guericke’s city. But not only history fans will get their money’s worth around our hotel: there is a great deal of modern architecture to be seen, such as the Green Citadel by the famous artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
