Great location, efficient service and comfortable room. That's all you need on a short city trip!
Staff was very friendly. The hotel and room was very clean. I want to highlight especially the noice isolation of the rooms, which is really exceptional.
Nice Hotel and very friendly staff - enjoyed our stay. Recommend it to friends already :-)
very helpful staff
I am glad every Motel one hotel has same excellent quality and service
Good room, great bed, nice shower. Good staff.
Good location. Air condition everywhere. Comfy beds and very clean room.
Great central location, very modern and clean hotel, staff very receptive and helpful, spacious lobby for working, not a huge breakfast option but sufficient
Everything else were really good but at breakfast many items were ended and tables full of dirty dishes.
I enjoyed staying in Motel One. Great and calm environment 🙂. I strongly recommend for other travellers.
Clean, nice staff and good breakfast.
The location was great and as was the service. The light switch on the en suite didn't always work properly and sounded like it had a loose connection and the safe was locked in the open setting so it was unusable.
This is my third visit . Never failed to impress me about the cleanliness of the room although room is a bit small. Very courteous staff . Simple and quick checkin.
bacon, sausage & scrambled eggs are missing at the breakfast Parking stay is very expensive
The personal is very friendly and welcoming. Maybe the breakfast buffet could be enlarged by some more nuts.
Good quality accommodation and friendly and helpful zeam
Great stay , in excellent location - quiet but close to main shopping areas. Staff were outstanding service and care
I would like to get a receipt!!!!

Tolles Team
The bar is a wonderful space to have a drink and hang out. The bed is comfortable although the pillows are not very good. One was incredibly thin and floppy. The view of the dim from the balcony is amazing. It would be nice to have a pad and pen, and a water bottle every day. We had an eight night stay.
This was my first time staying in your wonderful city. My choice of this Motel was that it was rather affordable. Still, this Motel was very nice, clean and with wonderful amenities. My room was very comfortable and kept clean every day. The staff is very nice, helpful and very easy to speak with. When I return to Germany, I will stay with Motel One and recommend it to my colleagues. Thank you for a wonderful experience in beautiful Cologne City. Cheers
Decoration is not so nice and the property seems quite warn out
The property is centrally located and the staff is very accommodating.
The maid entered the room without knocking on similar at 9.00am on checkout day; I think this is not acceptable, since checkout time is 12.00
The hotel was well located and was extemely clean. The front reception desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the bar staff provided good service too. We would have appreciated a larger and more varied bar food menu. Good choice of breakfast options and we didn't have to wait for more crockery or for food to be brought. Some hot food would have been even better! We went out for breakfast on our second day. A kettle in the room would have been ideal but we understand why there isn't one. We enjoyed our stay.
The experience was just perfect. Everything was exacly as it should be. The only thing that we missed was a small fridge in he room.
Room was quiet, clean (although I am not fan of carpet). Good location, handy parking beside hotel and get discount for being hotel guest. Staff at reception were friendly
This was my second stay at a Motel One and the experience was just as positive as the first time.
The hotel and room was very suitable for my business purpose. At previous stays the costs were significantly lower per night, so this aspect was a bit disappointing.
Loved the balcony but should be divided between the rooms. Should be able to make a hot drink in room!
I would have given a higher rating but three emails to the property went unanswered. When I called on two different occasions, I was on hold for a very long time and no one ever answered. I cannot recommend a hotel that doesn't respond. It's very unprofessional.
The staff entered our room first thing in the morning when we didn’t have breakfast. Felt it should not have happened. We put Do Not Disturb afterwards. Otherwise excellent service
This was my first experience with Motel One, and it was great! I was traveling with my two kids, and when my husband got sick and couldn't join us, and when I contacted customer support to see if it would be okay for the kids to be in a room by themselves, they not only wrote back to say that was possible, but also booked us in connecting rooms. The set-up was perfect for us: the kids had the larger, handicap-accessible room, and I had a smaller standard size room. I also had trouble with the safe in my room, and the manager on duty assisted immediately and then gave us an extra bottle of water for the trouble. I also accidentally locked myself out of my room a couple of times (taking my kids' key with me instead of my own), and the staff at the reception desk gave me extra keys without a problem. In short, the service was really great! My only complaint would be that the standard King room was quite small, and I don't think my husband and I could have both fit our luggage in the room comfortably if he had been there. But for just me it was perfectly fine.
Glad and pleased to stay in this amazing hotel,so nice staff, delicious breakfast, very very nice manager, very nice reception and absolutely clean and comfortable apartment
Best location Best breakfast Best stay in cologne
The workers were very friendly and I really enjoyed my stay.
The female employee who assisted us upon arrival at the hotel (whose hair was straight, not curly) was very communicative, explained every detail thoroughly, was attentive and helpful, and made things much easier for us by communicating in English. We would like to thank her and you as well.
Alles gut!
there was a smell in the room and no house shoes available..
Coole Location
Grand.
A great stay at this Motel One thank you! Ideal location to explore Cologne, very clean rooms and communal areas and lovely staff!
Very cosy environment. Just lack of spa is the reason of non 10p score
Good price versus quality in the center of Cologne.
The value for money is always great at Motel one
Alles super!

The Cathedral’s peak
You don’t need to climb to the top of Cologne Cathedral to get an up-close look at the structure’s impressive stonemasonry. There is also a life-size model of the that caps the building directly in front of the main entrance.
Heinzelmännchenbrunnen
The legend of the Heinzelmännchen is as entrenched in Cologne’s culture as the local ‘Kölsch’ dialect. Built in 1987 and situated across from Früh – the city's oldest brewery – references a poem by August Kopisch about the hardworking familiars that accompany the city’s residents.
Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium
There is evidence of Cologne’s rich Roman history everywhere. Right next to the cathedral, you can take a detour to the old of the city, the excavated or the , a corner tower of the former city wall.
A TOUR OF WORLD CUISINE
Cologne’s culinary scene has something to suit every taste. Here is just a small selection:
San Francisco-style burritos, tacos and quesadillas that can be customised at will
Original Spanish tapas – warm or cold, paella and more. Enjoy a taste of Spain on the Rhine
Speciality coffee drinks, cake and classic Vietnamese cuisine in one spot? Try it for yourself!

Allegedly the best bakery in Cologne, this shop offers the historical Adenauer Brot, which was developed by Cologne’s former Vice-Mayor and later Chancellor of West Germany.

A TOUR OF THE RHINE
A walk with a view
Head from our Motel One on Neumarkt into the old town to the . After crossing the Deutz Suspension Bridge, you can stroll south along Deutzer Werft towards Poll. Then head across the Deutz swing bridge past the Poll meadows and Deutz harbour to the South Bridge, which offers a stunning view of the Cologne skyline. Once you’ve crossed the Rhine, you can head to the Rheinauhafen and take a stop in one of the many cafés and bars, then go past the distinctive cranes and Chocolate Museum back to Heumarkt.
If you like, you can extend the route by continuing further along the Rhine from Heumarkt towards the Hohenzollern Bridge. Cross the river one more time and take a short walk through the Rheinpark before heading back into the city centre via the Zoobrücke bridge.

Hotel Cologne Neumarkt
Our Neumarkt hotel in Cologne is located right beside the city’s former cattle market, which was founded in 1076. It’s not so much the cows, horses and chickens that get shoppers' hearts racing these days – but rather the fashion boutiques and department stores. The Schildergasse, Cologne’s most popular shopping street, is right on the doorstep of our design hotel in Cologne. The street will take you to the heart of the city centre in a matter of minutes, where you can explore the historical town hall, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Hohenzollernbrücke bridge or the Rhine – or perhaps one of the many Kölsch breweries, which offer the ideal refreshment to complement your day in the city. Medieval alleyways lead you from our affordable hotel to the defining symbol of the city: the Cologne Cathedral.
The interior of our Cologne-Neumarkt hotel is also inspired by the city’s most imposing landmark, which is one of Germany’s most popular visitor attractions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its influence is expressed in the form of colourful glass mosaics in the bar area, which are reminiscent of the artistic windows of the cathedral, and continues with transparent room dividers inspired by the cathedral’s Gothic arches. Wall installations transport you straight into the heart of the nave, while slate and marble details echo the basic stone structure of the popular landmark that has withstood centuries. Our Motel One Cologne-Neumarkt pays loving tribute to Cologne’s flagship monument – and is (almost) as impressive as the original!
