Some tea bags other than black tea would have been nice.
Really great location. Check in was prompt, room was clean and very good value for the money spent
It was a pleasant stay with high standards,
Good experience. Only complaints: mattress was a bit hard, and pillows were either too soft and thin, or too narrow and hard. Smart TV that mirrors Apple devices, not just Android, would be good. Tea cups in room were plastic ones that tasted of previous occupants, so I couldn’t use - washable ceramic mugs would be good, and glasses for water. Pleased with the location though which is great value for money
Good modern and clean hotel. Second time staying. The bar ambience is a plus. Downsides are that in room 311 we were woken up by loud music from the flats directly opposite from 8am to about 10am. We wouldn't stay again in a room on that side. Breakfast seating was overly crowded and the bench spacing needs adjusting.
Lovely place. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Close to the tube too!
Easy to book. Effortless check in. Room as described and very comfortable
The location was great but SOMEONE CAME INTO MY ROOM AT 08:43AM WITHOUT MY CONSENT!!! UNACCEPTABLE! Ruined my whole stay.
Everything and everyone was outstanding. A huge thumb up to Daniel at the reception, who was particularly attentive and very thoughtful towards us.
Thanks for the Great hospitality, the Support
My sleep was very disturbed in room 7.25. This was because the air conditioning unit is between the bed and the door and tv. When it is night, the room does not get dark as there is a perpetual green light coming from this unit which you cannot avoid. Additionally even if you turn the unit off at the wall it randomly turns on every hour - hour and a half at night and you have to get out of bed to turn it off. Other than that everything else was fine but given I was only in the room to sleep this was not a good experience for me.
recognise one of your employees, Rebecca Schnütgen - Front Office and Reservations Manager. At around 4:36pm, while I was checking in, a man took my handbag without me noticing. Rebecca spotted what was happening, ran after him, recovered my bag and returned it to me. I genuinely had no idea any of this was taking place until she came back holding my handbag and asked if it was mine. She explained that the man had been standing behind me and had deliberately taken it while I was distracted. The bag contained my passport, work laptop, purse and other personal belongings. Had Rebecca not intervened, the impact would have been huge. What struck me most was that she didn't hesitate to act. She put the needs of a guest first and prevented what would have been a very stressful and costly situation. She was also incredibly calm, kind and professional afterwards, despite having just chased down a thief on my behalf. Rebecca offered me a complimentary drink which was really kind but I felt it was more important to make sure she was okay and to ensure her actions were recognised by the people who lead the business. Employees who are observant, proactive and genuinely care about guests make a real difference. Rebecca is a credit to Motel One and I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks and ensure her actions didn't go unnoticed.
Motel One is definetively my preferred choise for visiting Europe with my family. Good job Motel One team!
Staff are lovely, lounge is lovely and relaxing. But rooms are dated and small
The hotel is located in a nice part of London, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the public areas are quite small for the number of guests staying at the hotel, and seating is limited. This becomes particularly problematic at breakfast, when guests often have to queue and wait for a table. The breakfast selection is also quite basic. Given the hotel's cost, I would have expected a wider variety of food and more choices. Overall, while the location and modern facilities are positive aspects, the limited public space and lack of variety at breakfast detract from the overall experience.
It's clean, good beeds and very nice bathrooms.
Bad bed bug bites from Room 1401
Perfect match price quality. Friendly staff.
Overall good but there was no safe to put in valuable stuff. I was able to let my valuable stuff be put in the reception safe but overall it was a nice stay :)
Comfortable and good value and good location
This time, I did get a room without real window. I went out to a tiny enclosed court, which was always dark without any chance to see even the weather. It was a bit claustrophobic. I did get that room when I checked in quite early in the morning, so that is kind of positive but next time I'd rather wait for a room with a real window and a bit of a view, even to the back court like the first time I stayed there. Otherwise all good :)
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 7 days in total. I paid for the room and breakfast every day. The breakfast menu was the same every day; nothing changed at all.
I entered the room and the bathroom smelled, not that it was dirty but the smell of drains. I reported this to reception who said that they’d check. When I came back at night, I talked again to reception who didn’t know anything but said that they’d move me to another room in the morning. Nothing happened. Events took an unexpected turn, and I ended up in hospital, which meant that the smell issue didn’t matter any more. But quite disappointed that the reception didn’t do anything in the end besides offering me another bottle of water. A real shame.
Lack of ventilation in the bathroom, Room 11.25.
Excellent stay as always.
No Wifi on the 5th Floor - when I raised it with reception they told me that there was no maintenance on site but could move me to another room. I just went to the office and working into the evening
Friendly ^ helpful staff. Quick check in/ check out. Cold drinking water supplied on a very hot day.
I was accommodated with an early check in, rehydrating sparkling water on a super hot day, a clean comfortable room with a wonderful city view. Thank you for having me
Motel One Gkasgow was my first Mitel One experience Motel One Tower Hill lived up to its excellent standard efficient and friendly staff and value for money Now I only travel to where there is a Motel One!
Stayed at this hotel on our last 5 visits to London
Make checkin a bit earlier, don't put the AC at 18°. When I switched it off it kept going on
Breakfast was uncomfortable in very low seats with very low tables. Hard to get out of seats and they were aged, so metal frames digging into legs. Would have enjoyed a bit more variety (vegetarian) but it did the job. Coffee machines very slow (but good coffee). Every staff member I engaged with was really lovely and friendly, big smiles.
Only issue had was how rude some of the staff were when arrived until a male member of staff took over and was able to help us and check us in no problem
The staff were all fantastic when we visited. The hotel was able to accommodate us at super short notice, and even managed an upgrade on our second night. Rooms were clean and tidy, and view from second room we stayed in was lovely. Central area, and easy to navigate into other london areas
Excellent
Terrible smell in bathroom, I told employee but nothing changed. Sticky switches. TV channels in English with wrong channel (description for blinds) and German TV channels with ongoing interferences. Overall not on M1 quality level
The room was very small, glad I was only staying for 3 nights, the reception was cold all the time as the air con was on full blast so it did not entice me to use the bar area. Same was booked by my company, but while there I discovered much better hotels close by for a small amount of extra money, plus there was no safety deposit box in room. On the up side check was fast and free water in reception on arrival, great on a hot day.
Love the style of Motel One's lobby and rooms. The breakfast is lovely. The service is excellent. One of my new favourite hotel chains.
The two Italians and Elenha I think was her name at reception were superb. super attentive , accomodating of our needs, understanding (we have a massive work project to work on and they let us squat near reception the whole afternoon). made a huge difference to our trip. I personally came back many times and have already booked my my work trip with you, thank you!
Fab hotel. Good location for where we were going. And rooms are always clean and well serviced. Basic and small but clean and very usable space for a couple of days.
all good
Our second stay in a motel one (first was Edinburgh) and it was such a pleasant stay. We arrived in the morning and our room was ready straight away which was a great bonus and the staff were really nice. The room itself is very clean, even down to the places people forget such as the bottom of the shower screen (these are usually covered in old grime and limescale) and the corners. Rooms are not massive but unless you're spending your whole day in there then it's not an issue. Hotel is less than 5 minutes from a tube station and there's a bus stop right outside so a really good location. Overall a recommended hotel and will be staying again.
A lovely few days. Wasn't sure about my room opposite the lifts, but I did not hear a sound.
Stylisches City Hotel in toller Lage.
Great room, very quiet, and comfortable bed. Staff excellent and very helpful
My mother and I had an excellent stay at Motel One. We arrived a little after 12 noon and were delighted to find that our room was already ready for us, which was a great start to our trip. Although the room was compact, it had everything we needed. It was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and it included a TV, plug sockets beside the bed, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a hairdryer. My mother asked one of the housekeeping staff for some extra milk for her tea, and it was provided straight away. The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The air conditioning was excellent, which was especially appreciated given the high temperatures in London during our visit. We decided to add breakfast the following morning, and we were very impressed with the selection available. There was a great variety of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fresh bread, pastries, all of which were fresh and well presented. On the day we checked out, we were also able to leave our luggage at the hotel while we spent the rest of the day exploring the city, which was incredibly convenient. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, well located, and offered excellent value for money. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and I would happily stay at Motel One again and recommend it to anyone visiting London.
Good facilities and clean rooms
I had a room on the 15th floor with what must be the best view in all of London. The room was spacious and clean. The team was always friendly and helpful. All in all, my stay was great. Also, good location for various tube lines.
was perfect!
The hotel was very good central to many locations room very good Bed comfortable Bathroom excellent all in all a very good experience
Switch on. beOne.

Budget Design Hotels in London – your Motel One
While staying in London, you really should use the public transport system, which can be an adventure of its own. As well as the iconic tube trains, a trip on a double-decker bus makes for an interesting journey.
Our Design Hotel is close to one of the city’s best known sights, Tower Bridge. This is undoubtedly the most striking bridge on the Thames, with ornate twin towers that are a key part of the cityscape, and make a great photo. The Tower of London, which gives the bridge its name, is directly adjacent and best known for its imposing shape. Once inside you can view the Crown Jewels, visit the medieval palace or attend one of the frequent special events. If you’re back to your hotel in time for tea, you can treat yourself to a proper cuppa in our cosy One Lounge. What else can we offer?
Big Ben, the London Eye and Madame Tussauds – symbols of a global metropolis
Well, following along the Thames, you eventually come to another distinguishing feature of the London skyline, the tower housing Big Ben. One of the best-known symbols of the city, this 96 metre high edifice looms majestically over the Thames. Although the name “Big Ben” properly refers only to the bell of the Elizabeth Tower, it is commonly used to refer to the entire tower complex at Westminster Palace.
The Tower is only accessible to UK residents. Cross the Thames at Westminster Bridge to visit the London Eye, at 135m still Europe’s largest Ferris wheel, offering fantastic views of “Big Ben” and the whole London area. Other popular sights include Madame Tussauds wax museum, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square and the Globe Theatre.
London calling! We look forward to welcoming you to our Design Hotel.
