Stayed at this hotel on our last 5 visits to London
Make checkin a bit earlier, don't put the AC at 18°. When I switched it off it kept going on
Breakfast was uncomfortable in very low seats with very low tables. Hard to get out of seats and they were aged, so metal frames digging into legs. Would have enjoyed a bit more variety (vegetarian) but it did the job. Coffee machines very slow (but good coffee). Every staff member I engaged with was really lovely and friendly, big smiles.
Only issue had was how rude some of the staff were when arrived until a male member of staff took over and was able to help us and check us in no problem
The staff were all fantastic when we visited. The hotel was able to accommodate us at super short notice, and even managed an upgrade on our second night. Rooms were clean and tidy, and view from second room we stayed in was lovely. Central area, and easy to navigate into other london areas
Excellent
Terrible smell in bathroom, I told employee but nothing changed. Sticky switches. TV channels in English with wrong channel (description for blinds) and German TV channels with ongoing interferences. Overall not on M1 quality level
The room was very small, glad I was only staying for 3 nights, the reception was cold all the time as the air con was on full blast so it did not entice me to use the bar area. Same was booked by my company, but while there I discovered much better hotels close by for a small amount of extra money, plus there was no safety deposit box in room. On the up side check was fast and free water in reception on arrival, great on a hot day.
Love the style of Motel One's lobby and rooms. The breakfast is lovely. The service is excellent. One of my new favourite hotel chains.
The two Italians and Elenha I think was her name at reception were superb. super attentive , accomodating of our needs, understanding (we have a massive work project to work on and they let us squat near reception the whole afternoon). made a huge difference to our trip. I personally came back many times and have already booked my my work trip with you, thank you!
Fab hotel. Good location for where we were going. And rooms are always clean and well serviced. Basic and small but clean and very usable space for a couple of days.
all good
Our second stay in a motel one (first was Edinburgh) and it was such a pleasant stay. We arrived in the morning and our room was ready straight away which was a great bonus and the staff were really nice. The room itself is very clean, even down to the places people forget such as the bottom of the shower screen (these are usually covered in old grime and limescale) and the corners. Rooms are not massive but unless you're spending your whole day in there then it's not an issue. Hotel is less than 5 minutes from a tube station and there's a bus stop right outside so a really good location. Overall a recommended hotel and will be staying again.
A lovely few days. Wasn't sure about my room opposite the lifts, but I did not hear a sound.
Stylisches City Hotel in toller Lage.
Great room, very quiet, and comfortable bed. Staff excellent and very helpful
My mother and I had an excellent stay at Motel One. We arrived a little after 12 noon and were delighted to find that our room was already ready for us, which was a great start to our trip. Although the room was compact, it had everything we needed. It was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and it included a TV, plug sockets beside the bed, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a hairdryer. My mother asked one of the housekeeping staff for some extra milk for her tea, and it was provided straight away. The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The air conditioning was excellent, which was especially appreciated given the high temperatures in London during our visit. We decided to add breakfast the following morning, and we were very impressed with the selection available. There was a great variety of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fresh bread, pastries, all of which were fresh and well presented. On the day we checked out, we were also able to leave our luggage at the hotel while we spent the rest of the day exploring the city, which was incredibly convenient. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, well located, and offered excellent value for money. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and I would happily stay at Motel One again and recommend it to anyone visiting London.
Good facilities and clean rooms
I had a room on the 15th floor with what must be the best view in all of London. The room was spacious and clean. The team was always friendly and helpful. All in all, my stay was great. Also, good location for various tube lines.
was perfect!
The hotel was very good central to many locations room very good Bed comfortable Bathroom excellent all in all a very good experience
Lovely hotel. Fast check-in Amazing little touches such as water available on reception Best shower in any hotel I've ever stayed at in London Bed was very comfortable. Very good night's sleep Perfect location Great size room Highly recommend
excellent room with a lovely view on the 15th floor of the city
Nice hotel and good location. Was a bit concerned in the morning when someone tapped on the door, opened it, walked in, and then ran out when they noticed we were sleeping
Fab hotel with super staff in a great location for business travel. The only downside was no water in the room when we booked directly.
Didn't really appreciate having an accessible room. Thought the breakfast area was very poor
The Hotel is in a great location with great public transport access . Overall it’s a very welcoming atmosphere and the bedrooms offer a good nights sleep. The breakfast offers good quality food and there’s plenty on offer.
Lovely staying there - clean, comfortable and great staff
We really enjoyed our stay. Two observations, (1) there was no left side bedside locker - a small inconvenience as we rely on having water to hand during the night and (2) no safety bars in the shower and no non-slip shower mat.
Staff was great. Everything was in great condition
Dirty light switch by the bed overall sticky table and room
Hotel was great all around except for on Sunday morning we got a knock on our door for cleaning at 8.45 am and we did not have to check out until noon.
I didn't get to spend much time in the hotel at all BUT the most important thing is the bed, pillows and cleanliness. I was suprised how soft the mattress was but it was super comfortable, pilows equally so and perfectly clean.
We enjoyed our stay at Motel One in London. The room was comfortable and well-equipped.
over £500 for 2 nights and no phone, no iron, no draws, a bar to hang clothes on, no toiletries and asked for an iron which hours later i had to go down to the reception to pick up myself carrying an iron and large board up at 10pm. wifi didnt work . Never again
Poor power No table or shelf near the bed DDA wet room old
All very practical
overall happy withthe stay two points - water in room please and it woud be great not to have to lug the iron and ironing board up to teh room each tim is stay.....
I found it wonderfully clean, calm, very pleasant just what was required after a 3:30 am start and working all day. Easy room to use, meaning light switches, plugs, hanging room, bright bathroom, felt safe.
Stopped at hotel about 4 times reception team not as friendly as the last time stayed with you
Friendly staff, hotel ambiance is lively and great rooms. Hotel has excellent air conditioning!
Good value for money for a central London location. Good Underground connections to King's Cross and beyond. It was worth paying a bit extra to have a 'Room with a View'.
The hotel itself is lovely. Great location, breakfast was great and beds were comfy. Erika on reception is a credit to you! The housekeeping staff however… Two days in a row I placed my ‘do not disturb’ sign on my door and two days in a row housekeeping walked in on me. A gentle knock, a two second pause then walked right on in. On one occasion I was not dressed!! As an anxious person (and a woman in a room on her own) it made me jumpy for any noises in the corridor afterwards.
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to provide great service. Our room was clean, modern, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The breakfast was pretty basic but still good. Overall, the entire hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. We have absolutely nothing bad to say - we would definitely stay here again!
Our second stay at a Motel One property. We were not disappointed. Enjoyed our stay in London very much. Great location and excellent accommodations.
Very good value for the money. Lovely customer service, clean rooms, had very good air conditioning.
Nice place in a very convenient position
As we went to see a festival in Knebworth it was important for us, that we had easy access to public transportation, so the location of the Motel One was very convenient for us. It´s a 10 minute walk to the London Tower and the Tower Bridge which is excellent. The Aldgate bus and subway stations are a 2 minute walk away. On both mornings when we wanted to have breakfast the lounge room was completely packed, so we decided to have breakfast in a nearby Café ( which was very good ).
very friendly staff. Clean room. No complaints, whatsoever.
The bed was quite good but I think the overall room was quite limited, there was no fridge, barely any space to han clothes and the shower was leaking and barely any water came out from it, moreover, there was a very strong drain smell from the bathroom.
Switch on. beOne.

Budget Design Hotels in London – your Motel One
While staying in London, you really should use the public transport system, which can be an adventure of its own. As well as the iconic tube trains, a trip on a double-decker bus makes for an interesting journey.
Our Design Hotel is close to one of the city’s best known sights, Tower Bridge. This is undoubtedly the most striking bridge on the Thames, with ornate twin towers that are a key part of the cityscape, and make a great photo. The Tower of London, which gives the bridge its name, is directly adjacent and best known for its imposing shape. Once inside you can view the Crown Jewels, visit the medieval palace or attend one of the frequent special events. If you’re back to your hotel in time for tea, you can treat yourself to a proper cuppa in our cosy One Lounge. What else can we offer?
Big Ben, the London Eye and Madame Tussauds – symbols of a global metropolis
Well, following along the Thames, you eventually come to another distinguishing feature of the London skyline, the tower housing Big Ben. One of the best-known symbols of the city, this 96 metre high edifice looms majestically over the Thames. Although the name “Big Ben” properly refers only to the bell of the Elizabeth Tower, it is commonly used to refer to the entire tower complex at Westminster Palace.
The Tower is only accessible to UK residents. Cross the Thames at Westminster Bridge to visit the London Eye, at 135m still Europe’s largest Ferris wheel, offering fantastic views of “Big Ben” and the whole London area. Other popular sights include Madame Tussauds wax museum, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square and the Globe Theatre.
London calling! We look forward to welcoming you to our Design Hotel.
