Small, but nice and functional rooms
Great location-across the street from the park, close to the beach, zoo and other areas. However, the room lack amenities (iron, ironing board, hand towels, water, coffee, lotion, etc.) that you would find in similar hotels. Breakfast, although plentiful, lack warm "protein" food.
The hotel is very well decorated and feels very homely, and is located in a perfect spot with all the important sites of Vienna at a couple meters' distance. Breakfasts were amazing, specially the sausages and the Kaiserschmarrn! The only thing I would like to improve is the AC of the rooms and the WiFi. The AC seemed to be inactive in the middle of the night and the Wifi is poor.
Clean room which was ready early and offered to me. Lovely buffet breakfast. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located—easy walk from three train station; few blocks from the lake; 20 minutes to the opera house. BTW, This hotel is lovely! Don’t be mislead by the word “motel”—it’s not the version found in USA!
I have been many times to Motel One Staatsoper but this is my fist visit since its “upgrade” to One Cloud. Unfortunately the only obvious change was on the bill, as I have noticed a significant increase in the daily rate. Very bad experience on first night. After checking in (after 8:30 and being for many hours in airport/ plane) I went to ha live a shower and realised there was no shower gel in the room. I went to the reception to ask for one but the guy in duty told me bluntly that there was no shower gel in the hotel and there was nothing he could do about it, saying this was due to the “upgrade” to One Cloud. He even suggested I could buy shower gel next day from a nearby DM store! I am a seasoned traveller but have never experienced such behaviour before! Thank God I spoke to the supervisor in charge next morning and she was very kind and helpful, sorting everything out. In addition, all in all, I find that the so called upgrade is not worth the significant increase in the hotel’s nightly rates.
We enjoyed staying at Cloud One because it was easy access to subways and attractions on lower manhattan. We would definitely stay here again.
As always, we had a wonderful stay at Motel One. This one in Amsterdam is spectacular. The rooms are beautiful; they gave us a room on the eighth floor with a view—beautiful. The staff is super friendly, everyone is very helpful. Special mention for hiring several refugees from Ukraine, a very nice gesture.The hotel is outside the city center but very close to the metro and tram. You're in the city center in 15 minutes, but you sleep away from the chaos. Everything was perfect, we'll be back.
Great location, friendly staff, very clean rooms and good value for money. However I would have liked to have had privacy curtains on the window in the room as anyone opposite can see directly into the room so there is a lack of privacy issue here. A kettle would be a nice addition as there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The noise levels of banging doors on my floor was annoying as it was constant throughout the morning and early afternoon. I may have been located near the cleaning services which could explain it. This was not a problem during the late afternoon and evening but forget having a peaceful lie-in in the morning after 9am. Despite these issues I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The staff are great, location is perfect with some great restaurants within a few hundred metres and the bed was good so I slept well too and would stay again.
The hotel staff, especially the reception team, is exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They truly make you feel valued as a guest. However, the building itself is quite old, and unfortunately there is no safe in the room. The bedside lamps are also very old and could use an update. Despite these things, the stay was still pleasant and the kindness of the staff made the experience enjoyable.
Perfect for us (2 retirees). Very quiet, comfortable beds, spotless, excellent internet, great breakfast, good toiletries (soap, shampoo, body lotion -- but please... without scent?). Friendly and helpful staff. Location central to music (opera and symphony), museums (Albertine, Leopold, KHM, etc), public transport (1 block from U and Strassenbahn). And yes, the rooms are small and the furnishings basic -- but they provide everything we actually needed and did so at a superb price. Ps. For decades, we've been reviewing hotels we stayed at for business and/or pleasure all over the world. This is the most positive review we have every written for any of them. By far. Very comfortable room and good seating in public areas. I would have liked a tea/coffee making in the room. The offer of a bottle of still/sparkling water seemed seemed pointless.
Great location, great rooftop bar. Lovely breakfast! Room we had a bit small but nice a new.

We had a pleasant stay at Motel One. The staff was very friendly, our room was super clean, and the breakfast was extensive. Most of the products were organic.
Room was decent and clean but a little compact. Was good to have tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. Great size shower. Towels were surprisingly large and nice and soft. Good supply of toilet paper, facial tissues, hand soap and body wash. The downside was. One use paper cups, no bin in bedroom and our room was cold. Tried numerous times to put the heat on but I couldn’t get it to work… There wasnt any information about facilities about the room or surrounding area…

We had a lovely few days at the hotel which was situated perfect for us. Great rooms and decor and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. We’d stay again!

The overall stay was excellent room was very clean, bed very comfy and heat in room was good. Only downfall of the stay was the breakfast. Not much choice in the way of food and the coffee machine only put out hot water and milk and no coffee and tried on several occasions.
From checkin to checkout all was great. Easy to book a late departure. Nice room location. Quiet. Bartender was fun and attentive. Clean room.
The Hotel offers a good deal and has a good staff at the reception, helped us when we arrived at 2 in the morning. I will recommend this hotel for everyone for its all round 24/7 service. I will book you guys all the time.
Very nice room, comfortable and quiet. Reception and bar area were also very tasteful and relaxed. Good location. However, the breakfast was very basic for £13.50, and the space cramped and finding it hard to keep up with the customers on both days I was there. It would also have been nice to have had better coffee in the room and a small desk area
Although I didn't have to check in at the reception because I already did my mobile check in, I still went to the Front Desk to check in as I had a few questions. The staff who checked me in was cold, unwelcoming and unpleasant. She made me feel as if I was wasting her time. Later on when I inquired about the check out process and on the day of check out, I made sure to avoid her. Her other colleagues were different. They were pleasant and welcoming. Maybe she was having a bad day or dealing with some personal issues. Because of her, my first impression of Motel One was "bad". Another reason I will not choose Motel One again because there is no kettle in the room. It was cold and rainy in Berlin during my stay. It would have been nice to make some hot water with a kettle. I ultimately drank the hot water from the tap because this unpleasant staff said it was ok to drink hot water from the tap. On my previous trips to Europe I stayed at Mercure, Holiday Inn and Premier Inn. As I was exploring the cities, I came across Motel One and noted that it is another chain that I have not seen in Canada and Asia. That's why on this trip I decided to try it out.
Rooms smaller than I remember. Breakfast room too hot . Bed comfortable .
Pleasant hotel, decent room with good bed and shower. The space for the basin was rather tight. No coffee making facility. At arrival there was a big group checking in. Only one receptionist helping. I felt totally neglected. Postponed check in and later got friendly response.

Very clean hotel with very comfy beds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel situated in the centre of Glasgow and next to Central Station. Looking forward to visiting the hotel in a couple of months.
Generally a very good experience, with one very large exception.....the water pressure in our shower (room 458) was almost nonexistent. Virtually impossible to get a shower, let alone have a satisfactory shower experience. Water barely cleared the shower head, even when turned to the max setting. Since we were there for 5 nights, I probably should have complained to the desk, so that's my fault.
Overall it was pretty good. But I had two issues and I was not the only one (one of my colleagues complained about the first one too): the room smell was unpleasant, something like wet and dampness AND the heating from the AC wasn't working (I spent 3 nights - the first evening I went out in the city for a walk and I left the window partially open (by the way - opening the window was so hard and difficult!); when I came back - it was pretty cold and I tried to heat up a bit the room - nothing happened, just normal (cold) air was coming. I know that the people in Austria (and in other germanic countries) don't enjoy to live @ 25-28 degrees Celsius as others might do but this is a hotel and by definition there are a lot of different cultures and mentalities involved. For me it was almost fine but sometimes I felt quite cold, especially in the evening, when I was dead tired.
The room was clean. A good bed and bathroom. I stayed for two nights and had hung up my towel so it wouldn’t need to be replaced. I appreciate receiving a clean towel, but from an environmental perspective it wasn’t necessary.
Comfy bed and lovely pillows, with a very clean bathroom. Room would be very small for two people so glad I was alone. The lack of sounter-top space to place anything and no desk to work at was not ideal. The room is a bit dark and old fashioned, but it was clean enough given the decor is clearly not new.

There was a receptionist (Maria) who made our stay horrible - from check in until the end with any requests we had. The worst was her embarassing us upon check in when we needed to take some stuff out of our luggage from the luggage room to simply change in the hotel bathrooms as our rooms were not ready. This was after a saga we experienced with her from the start of the check in process, where again all throughout she was rude with us and quite embarrassing in front of other guests. Also my friends had a smaller room than what was paid for and different to mine. Completely opposite experience to my previous stays where I had the best stays at the hotel.
I am a regular guest at Motel one Dublin and find is a great place to stay. It is a great location, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the rooms are quiet and spotless.
Very friendly and helpful staff at check in. Booking by employer didn't include breakfast, no offer that this could be added and paid for separatey. Room on first floor however perhaps due to building layout, from the window it looked more like the ground floor. As a solo female traveller this didn't feel secure. Could hear glass bin being filled often. Rooms are very very basic. Comfy but basic. Good bed and pillows. Decent shower. Would make better sense to have a mirror at the desk and chair. TV should be updated with smart/casting options. The cups provided for tea/coffee looked clean but smelled very strongly of coffee and therefore couldn't be used for any other drinks or water. No alternative water cups/glasses provided. I'd stay here for work again due to location but not sure if I would for a personal trip.
New/fresh hotel. If you go here expecting luxoury and the most crazy breakfasts you won’t be satisfied. But if you’re looking for a CLEAN newly built hotel with 0 problems in the city center you will be 100% satisfied. 10/10 can recommend.
pro: bed and pillows comfortable. nice that there was a window in the room that you could open completely additionally to aircon. friendly & helpful staff. many tv channels in different languages. right next to metro station - good connection and supermarkets nearby good check-in and check-out times sufficient and big lifts, so you don't have to wait a long time to use the lifts 24/7 bar open and staff available for help and questions nice design con: no minibar no iron in the room, you had to go and borrow one you need to press the button on the hairdryer to dry your hair, it's annoying no shoe horn or show cleaning set / station not enough hangers/room to unpack water pressure very low no kettle/welcome tray to have a coffee or tea inside the room no welcoming water bottle inside the room no bin inside the room, just in the bathroom bathroom wasn't completely clean - still a lot of hair from previous guests on the walls and door breakfast would be great until 11.30 no balconies inside rooms outside area closes at 23.00h, so you need to stand on the street to have a cigarette. no rooftop or other area to go to. no vending machines or small shop
Very nice Hotel in a great location. Very friendly staff everywhere. Everything was very clean. The matrass could have been a bit softer but this is only my personal taste.

Booked be one rate. No water on arrival as expected. Had to request. Shower gel bottle was almost empty. I had a 3 night stay booked. Again I had to request from reception staff. Room should be ready and prepared at check in. Friendly and helpful staff at reception.
I found that requiring your guests to be members of Motel One to qualify then to get a 'complimentary' bottle of water is insulting. What if someone for whatever reason doesn't want to be a member?

The hotel location is perfect, just a few minutes from downtown. The hotel is nice, warm, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff are very professional and always available to help at any time. The food is excellent, including gluten-free options.
