Carlos was the best! I left my room key in my room at least 3 times, and we would laugh and he would give me another key. He had my back the entire stay and then would make sure my key was in my hand when I returned to the hotel in the evening :). He helped with my stay. Also the bartenders on the 3rd floor where really nice and took good care of me and my colleagues.
Excellent accommodation for participants attending events at Austria Center Vienna. The hotel is just a couple of minutes away, on the Danube bank. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is extremely clean, the rooms are pleasant, and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide selection of food and beverages. Overall, great value for money.

Overall, a very good rating and I’m really satisfied with my stay at Motel One Vienna. It’s a beautiful hotel with friendly staff. There are just a few small areas that could be improved. The driving route to the location is still not very clear due to all the new construction in the area, this could be better explained on the website or in the booking confirmation email. The automatic intermediate doors to the rooms (in my case on the 3rd floor) close quite loudly, which can be disturbing if you’re trying to sleep in the room next door. The bicycle storage should ideally be accessible using the room key card. At the moment, you need to ask a staff member to open it, which is a bit inconvenient for them and for me. From a safety perspective, the entrance to the parking garage via the pedestrian door is not secured. It would be better if this also required key card access. I would happily come back again and stay here.

- checking in didn’t meet your standards which I’m used to ( attitude and performance ) - always dimmed lights at reception desk; not inviting - location, people working at the bar and at the breakfast counter were wonderful incl. the person at checking out
Nice clean modern hotel with good facilities and sensible pricing. Location is fine for the business and UN area and close to the Ubahn. Short hop into the city centre.Friendly staff and a great breakfast. Only comment and not a criticism is maybe access to coffee/tea in room or in the bar/lounge. We will be back!

Our Motel One Vienna-Donau City near the Danube is the perfect place to relax. The location of the hotel is also a popular address for business travellers, as the Vienna International Centre (VIC) and the Austria Center Vienna are just around the corner. So it’s not only the ideal location for people on holiday, but is also particularly appreciated by business travellers.
And it’s not just the location that impresses – the design also tells a special story. Inspired by the contrast between holidays and business, the design embodies the motto ‘Beach & Modern City’. Viennese nostalgia meets the modernity of Donau City while elements of nature, such as water and rowing boats, bring relaxation right into the hotel. Modern pixel graphics, round shapes and sketch-like depictions of house facades and city maps blend harmoniously into the design concept and create a cosy feel-good atmosphere. This creative interplay encourages visitors to step inside and stay a while.

On the third floor, the Rooftop One Bar not only boasts a large terrace and outdoor bar, but also offers the best view over the Danube and the rooftops of the city. Another advantage of our Hotel Vienna-Donau City: it’s very well-connected to the city and to numerous leisure activities in the area. For example, the Danube Park and Danube Tower are just a few steps away on foot from the hotel.
The UNO City in Vienna is one of the four headquarters of the United Nations and forms the heart of the Vienna International Centre, which is also located just around the corner from the hotel. The striking UN building, also known as the Vienna International Centre (VIC), is located in Vienna’s 22nd district, not far from the design hotel, right by the Danube.
Opposite is the Austria Center Vienna, the largest convention centre in Austria, which is very well-rated. Business travellers can easily reach the site on foot, without long or inconvenient journeys. Together with the Messe Wien centre in the neighbouring Prater district, this location forms an important hub for meetings, trade fairs and conferences with easy access to Vienna city centre.

There’s not only a lot to discover in the immediate vicinity of the design hotel – it’s also definitely worth exploring just a little further afield. With an easy connection through the underground station Kaisermühlen VIC, you can reach Stephansplatz, the heart of Vienna, in around 10 minutes. The hotel is also convenient and easy to reach from the airport or by train. Parking is a little trickier, as the hotel is located in a car-free zone. We recommend using one of the public underground car parks nearby.

How do I get to the city centre from the Motel One Vienna-Donau City?
Take the U1 underground line from the Kaisermühlen – VIC stop, and you can easily reach the city centre in just a few minutes. Alternatively, take bus 20 A, 92 A N90 or the airport bus VAL3 (yellow line no. 3).
