While i got my room prepared for 1 person instead of 2, i had to ask towels and blanket and the woman was really kind and helpful, even if we didnt speak the same language. Thank her so much! The room was perfectly clean, quiet, the window was also clean, easy to open, the aircondition was working well and fast. The air in the room was good, the floor was also very clean. The blue pillows were amazing 😊 The view from 5th floor was incredible! The receptionists were pretty kind, and helpful. 💯
Although the hotel is next to the train station and it will have a bit of noise (but doesn't affect my sleep), the stay is value for money, the entire hotel is clean and new and comfy. Staff are nice and willing to answer questions, and very helpful.
Great lication (for Charlottenburg). Great architecture. Lovely outside terrace on 10th floor. Very friendly staf.
Service in the hotel is fine as usual Some comments to the room - No safe (haven´t stayed in a motel one without) - no bedside shelf/storage space (haven´t stayed in a motel one without) - not enough shelf/storage space in the bathroom (normally behind the toilet)
Overall great experience.
The price to quality ration is good. The bathroom and particularly the shower are perfect. The bed is fine although the pillows are too hard (but this is a personal preference). If the location were better I would definitely recommend the hotel, however for us it was less than ideal: it felt a bit far from everything with few restaurants and close to now supermarket.
Upon check-in, my other credit card was used without my permission, by mistake of the male receptionist. The receptionist voided it, but I still was charged €2 for an exchange rate difference in the bank. On another occasion, another male receptionist was quite loud calling me out that I shouldn't pour water by the water station in to my water bottle, and instead do it in the bar. "You will make a mess". Like I was commiting a crime. Everybody else (around 8 other guests waiting to check-in) looked at us surprised. There is a better way of communicating properly, in our opinion, and the male receptionist's way was quite humiliating. Not sure if this was a racial thing, though. The other two female receptionists we encountered were pleasant. I didn't notice when I was booking but the hotel room does not come with a refrigerator, so I guess any kind of food intake in the room is discouraged. Although the bathroom is small, it serves our needs quite efficiently.
Excellent hotel, situated in a quiet area but very close (50-100m) to both rail and road connections. The hotel staff, both reception and back-room, are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are compact but well equipped and comfortable and kept in a good condition making for a comfortable stay. Breakfast selection was both varied and plentiful, with staff constantly checking and refilling the food stations and keeping the area clean.
Everything was superb like always
Brilliant service and great location
Very friendly stuff. The rooms were clean and we had a really nice view.
Friendly and cheerful staff at MotelOne near Berlin's Central Station!
Very clean and comfortable. Bar on 9th floor wasn’t great. The room itself was a bit on the small side. Enjoyed our stay!
Everything was great but a small fridge in the room would be ever better.
The reception handled our little parking garage issue excellent and super friendly and uncomplicated. 👍🏼👍🏼
No water on arrival. No coffee on arrival. No water pot in room. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Room extremely small. Front desk staff curt.
Location, cleanliness and staff are excellent, as always. My room, however, was quite small.
Great hotel, great location. I would give it a 10 except that we were charged 3 nights instead of 2. Our original reservation showed 3 nights, but I advised the front desk that we would only be staying for 2. I was told that wasn't a problem as I had a no restrictions rate. The day of checkout I brought our keys to the front desk and again let the front desk personnel know we were checking out that morning. I was told we would get an email receipt. My mistake for not insisting on a paper receipt confirming charges before I left.
The staff was very kind and professional.
Clean hotel,good location,friendly staff.
Motel One represents a standard across cities and countries which makes the trip more relaxing. One knows why to expect and can rely on the consistency of the offer.
The room was very quiet, which was very important to me. The air conditioning worked very well, and the room always felt fresh. The breakfast selection felt rather limited. Another downside was the lack of a kettle in the room, which meant I couldn’t make tea or coffee. For me, this was a significant inconvenience.
Stayed 2 nights to sightsee in Berlin. All was very good, except the room was very small. My partner and I were tripping over each other.
Very clean hotel with a nice vibe. A great bar and pleasant staff, a comfortable bed and a great shower. Everything you need. A few minutes walk from Wittenbergplatz, and just off the Kurfurstenstrasse. The WiFi was great, unlike lots of other hotels.
Motel One is genuinely the best hotel brand there is so it was an extremely easy decision to come back to Motel One Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Amazing location, amazingly friendly and helpful staff, clean and beautiful rooms. Genuinely feels like you’re staying in the top of the top hotel. Wholeheartedly recommend!
Thank you for the nice stay :) Francesco was very nice!
Wonderful view, cozy forniture, super comfort bed.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and decorated to a very high spec. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice at the bar. The location is excellent as it’s right next to the U-Bahn and bus stops. Just a short walk through the underpass takes you to the most beautiful part of Berlin. I’d definitely stay here again.
Very good in everything. However, I would improve the ventilation system in the bathroom, so that the humidity won't stay too long.
On the whole a good stay. This was my second stay at Potsdamer-Platz and the first since the refresh, the rooms feel much better now with the new look. The lady on reception Fri/Sat/Sun pm was very helpful and welcoming, unfortunately I didn't get there name. For some reason my room was not serviced after the first night, but was after the second, I am not sure what happened there. The breakfast was good, but if you come down for it a little later you are often left with just the relaxed bar seating, which isn't really designed for eating at. However, on balance the stay was comfortable and I would stay here again.
Improvements could Providing washcloths for the shower. Explaining the use of the card for power and AC, etc
Fantastic view from the 18th floor
Nice hotel clean and modern close to the HBH. We stayed in the hotel overnight twice, once prior to a connection to Poland and the second time on the way back. Both rooms were fine, clean and modern. Staff were welcoming on arrival and on the way back the room was ready when we arrived at 11:30 am (having left Poland at 6am) which was great. We were on the road side and didn't have any road or construction noise disturb our sleep. The windows open which was a little alarming when 6 floors up :D. Only negative was that on the way back the A/C in the room didn't work all that well so weren't as cool as we would have liked. Reported to reception who were going to look in to it. All in all a great option in Berlin and was a good price too.
Mattresses are way too firm and need to be improved. Otherwise convenient location and good facilities overall
Very cool lobby and bar. Friendly staff, clean, functional & quiet room.Very comfy bed. Perfect location to get anywhere you could possibly want to go in Berlin.
Good everything
The room was clean and pleasant. The shower gel was a little intense. Breakfast was inconsistent, and the staff had obvious problems refilling the buffet and cleaning the tables. Either, it was inefficient or there were not enough staff. The bar is cozy, but it was very dark and the cocktails were not very good. Great reception though!
Our third visit to thus hotel. Great location close to bars and restaurants. Easy access to public transport . Friendly staff and we will definitely be back .
Room dusty, bathroom shower exhaust not working.poor internet
Everything was prefect. The super friendly, attentive and courteous staff at check-in, breakfast and checkout. Clean room, breakfast assortment and the water bottle. Always a pleyto stay at the Spittelmarkt MotelOne.
Lovely place as a starter for all in Berlin
Everything was good and fine: the hotel, the people, the price.
It was nice to be able to choose to not have cleaning. But perhaps the garbage could still be picked up.
Everything was perfect. The rooms are a little small but everything else was great. Great staff and location.
All good!
Fantastic location, right by Alexanderplatz station and the TV tower. Friendly, helpful staff, clean room and great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again
Especially for women, one additional towel for the hair after shower would be great. Also it's a bit difficult that there is no fridge. It would be also fine for me if - for medication or other things - there was an option to leave things in a shared/community fridge (possibly with individual locked compartments). For breakfast it would be great if there way one additional option of eggs, e.g. scrambled or sunny side up.
No mishaps and friendly service
Excellent service. Very Friendly Staff!
Kind and prompt staff, room was clean and great location!
Switch on. beOne.

What can you expect at the Motel One hotels in Berlin?
“Berlin is more a part of the world than a city,” wrote Jean Paul, and that is exactly how the capital still feels today. Berlin consists of many centres, neighbourhoods and contrasts: the government district, Museum Island, Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz, City West, Kreuzberg, the banks of the Spree and peaceful green spaces are either close together or deliberately side by side, depending on the route.
Motel One’s Berlin design hotels draw on the urban influences of their respective surroundings and combine them with the familiar Motel One standard: One Lounge, bar, breakfast, modern rooms and free Wi-Fi. This overview shows you which location suits your plans for Berlin – from your first city break to your regular business trips.

Which Motel One hotel in Berlin is right for your trip?
If you’re travelling by train, want to be close to the government district and need to find your way around the Brandenburg Gate, Spreebogen or Potsdamer Platz, our Motel One at Berlin Central Station is the obvious choice. If you’re focusing on classic sightseeing in Mitte, Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Motel One Berlin-Hackescher Markt, Motel One Berlin-Spittelmarkt or Motel One Berlin-Potsdamer Platz are all good options – depending on whether the TV Tower, Museum Island, Nikolai Quarter, Checkpoint Charlie, Gendarmenmarkt or the Kulturforum are at the top of your itinerary.
For shopping, the theatre, the zoo and City West, Motel One Berlin-Upper West, Motel One Berlin-Ku’damm and Motel One Berlin-Tiergarten are convenient starting points. If you’re planning an evening out to bars, restaurants, Kreuzberg, the banks of the Spree or the creative neighbourhoods of Mitte, Motel One Berlin-Mitte might be the better choice. Motel One Berlin-Bellevue is ideal if you want to combine a central location with a quieter setting near the Spree and Bellevue Palace.
For business travellers: choose your accommodation based on your meeting schedule rather than just the name of the district. For meetings at the main railway station, in the government district or around the Charité hospital, Berlin-Hauptbahnhof is the obvious choice. For meetings at Potsdamer Platz, in Mitte or at venues in the city centre, Potsdamer Platz, Spittelmarkt, Hackescher Markt and Alexanderplatz are sensible choices. For appointments in City West, at agencies, retail outlets or cultural institutions around Ku’damm and the Zoo, Upper West, Ku’damm and Tiergarten are good options. If you have several appointments spread across the city, a location with quick access to the S-Bahn or U-Bahn is usually more important than the shortest route to a single attraction.
How do you explore Berlin from the Motel One hotels?
Berlin bears the marks of its years of division into East and West, whilst at the same time being a young, creative metropolis with events, a start-up culture and an international art scene. The city is synonymous with Hertha and Union, döner and currywurst, a rich history and the typical Berlin attitude.
Depending on your hotel, you can quickly reach many of the city’s classic sights by underground, S-Bahn, bus or on foot:
– the Reichstag and the government district near the main station
– Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral and the Nikolaiviertel
– City West with the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Ku’damm and KaDeWe
– Remnants of the Berlin Wall, such as at Checkpoint Charlie
– Alexanderplatz with the TV Tower
– Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, the Berlin Philharmonic, the East Side Gallery and many museums
But Berlin is also surprisingly green. The Tiergarten, the riverside paths along the Spree and Tempelhofer Feld give the capital plenty of breathing space. On the former airport site, walks, sport, picnics, cycling and sweeping views all come together. This other side of the city is particularly important after a packed day of museum visits or a long schedule of appointments.
The city’s districts also have their own distinct character: Charlottenburg and City West are known for their elegant shopping streets and cultural offerings; Mitte for its museums, historic sites and galleries; Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain for their bars, clubs, street art and alternative scenes; and Neukölln for its international neighbourhoods and vibrant atmosphere. With ten hotels in Berlin, Motel One can cater to a variety of travel plans without reducing the city to a single centre.
