The TV situation was very confusing and I was never able to figure it out. This is unnecessarily complicated and quite annoying.
was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was very bare, with no additional amenities or services that would normally make a stay comfortable. The temperature in the room was also not properly regulated, making it unpleasant. What concerned me the most was the level of cleanliness. Pieces of plastic and paper that were on the floor the day before were still in exactly the same position the next day. The same things happen to mty colleagues in the same dats. This clearly shows that the floor was not cleaned at all, and the bed was only superficially made. The only thing that was actually changed were the bathroom towels. Overall, the cleanliness standards were absolutely insufficient, especially compared to what I have experienced in other motel one . Additionally, the breakfast was far from adequate in both quantity and quality. The channel in the tv doesn't work. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
Great location and great hotel! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning again
Everything was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The fan in my room did not work and I don’t like how you have to use a google platform in order to stream onto the tv. It’s a service that I don’t have and don’t want to pay for. That was frustrating . Otherwise everything else was perfect.
Good service, nice room and great location
Nice size room and great location. Bed is extremely soft which was terrible for resting.
Please change the bed matresses. Too soft for sleeping. I woke up aching in the morning. I had the same issue is Berlin (Upper West) and Dresden (am Zwinger) last December.
Everything was great. I had no problem. The room was small, we didn't have enough space, but we knew it while we were making our reservation.
Phantastic service, nice rooms but too less space in the bathroom for personal things, good breakfast, perfect location
Very nice place to stay in Cph: warm atmosphere and welcoming, superb organic breakfast, big room (superior king), good shower with glasswall, pillow extra soft. Overall I apreciated the design! In the middle of city center, close to everything, 3 minute to Metro and buses, 2 minute to Strøget, 5 minute to Central Station. The place to be at affordable preis.
Staff was helpful, kind and really good. Everything was clean. Breakfast was fresh and good. ● The bed was too soft and we did not sleep well because of it. It was bad.
Everything was excellend except of the bathroom where I didn't have the privacy I wanted.
The room was bigger than expected, super comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was superb.
Perfect location close to the train station and all places to see, eat and drink. Would highly recommend.
Superb location, and all the usual things I like about a Motel One
Unfortunately, the suite has a glass window at the top, so it’s very bright at night. Also, the bathtub faucet is limescaled. Otherwise, everything is great!
No desk on the room. Room very small. No water in the room.
A decent stay. Clean rooms. Really friendly great staff. Great location but the room lacked tea and coffee making facilities
It was the third time I chose Motel One because I always enjoy the high quality of this Motel!! It’s always very clean, the location is perfect, the staff is always very polite and helpful and the breakfast is very delicious with a lot of Bio and handmade products!! I always feel like being home!!
Hotel brilliant - great location, friendly staff and wonderful service.
Very central, clean, excellent breakfast
I have stayed at many Motel One hotels across Europe, and for me the brand has always been a sign of reliable quality. I used to feel confident booking any Motel One without hesitation, knowing the standards would be consistently high. Unfortunately, my stay at the Copenhagen property last weekend was deeply disappointing and did not meet those expectations at all. The room was incredibly small. The bed was pushed right up against the wall and the window, so the only way to get in and out was from the narrow foot end, which was very inconvenient. The mattress was also extremely thin and uncomfortable, with very poor support. The bathroom door did not close properly and had a large gap underneath, which meant there was essentially no privacy and every sound could be heard from the room. There was also no air conditioning, the windows let in cold air from outside, and the sound insulation was very poor — we could hear every noise from the corridor and neighboring rooms. On top of that, there was an old cobweb in the upper corner of the room with something stuck in it, which gave the impression that basic housekeeping had been missed. The worst issue, however, was the constant low-frequency humming and vibration in the room. It was so noticeable and uncomfortable that it was difficult to fall asleep. This was the first time in my life that I had to buy earplugs specifically to get some rest in a hotel. I am not exaggerating about the vibration: at one point during the night, the flimsy bathroom door actually started rattling on its own, which woke us up. This experience was especially disappointing because Motel One has always been a brand I trusted. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because this stay was far below the standard I have come to expect from your hotels.
Nice and modern!
Photographs on site were not at all close to the room given. Having upgraded I was completely shocked when I entered the room. Not worth the £150 paid. Very small and noisy through the night. Pillows are very thick.
Very Good services
The hotel was a nice play to stay. The bed was very good. Easy to take a train from the airport and walk 10 min to the hotel. The bar was very elegant and cosy. The only thing we missed was a shelf to put our things in the bathroom.
Not really a friendly welcome during check in.
Great location in city centre . Close to shopping, train station and tour pick ups. Substantial breakfast with great variety . Nice and quiet with a lovely quiet bar. Friendly staff.
I had a pleasant stay. It would have been nice to have a desk in the room to be able to work but aside from that the room had everything I needed.
friendly receptionist; good breakfast; only thing i miss in the room is a desk. all others are good.
This was my first stay at another branch than the Brussels one. The hotel is very nice, bed is comfortable, location convenient. The only complaint is about the noise from people in the pub downstairs, well past midnight, which was way too loud even in my appartment in thr 5th floor. Perhaps as this is a roof appartment, the soundproofing isnt that immaculate.
It was the first time ever I took my wife to a Motel. She is used to 5 star Hotels. She was NOT disappointed. Very good overall and a splendid breakfast. Location is 100%!
I stayed at Motel One with my daughter and we had an amazing experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet. The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help with a smile. The location was perfect — close to everything we needed, but still peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options, even for children. We really felt welcomed and cared for. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to families.
Very comfortable and clean room although a little small especially if you have large luggage….no kettle…made it a lot less comfortable. The bells chiming at midnight was a little off putting for an otherwise quiet room. A comfortable and very clean bed and mattress.
Very overpriced considering the hotel has no amenities. No coffee maker, no safe, no fridge, no TV, no climate control. . e
Location is excellent and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast each morning is a real treat, so many organic items alongside options for allergy or dietary requirements too. The rooms do vary in size but are all well appointed.
Another great stay at Motel One. Room, service, and breakfast always great
Good value for the money. Housekeeping was above and beyond expectations.
alles super!
So disappointed, booked two rooms on Hotel.com booked 2 double/queen rooms. Arrived in evening was told immediately our rooms were small doubles and told the size of the beds? A strange welcome? I advised we had booked larger rooms to which the Receptionist replied we could change but they were full?? Spent 4 nights in the tiniest rooms I’ve ever experienced. I could touch all 4 walls from my bed! Tv does not work or cast to uk phones. No telephone in room or kettle. Toilet door has a huge gap and does not lock just swings open. Sink was full of hair and blocks and toilet backs up. There were white stains all over back of door and a dirty windowsill which I only noticed on the last day as it was the first time the sun shone on them! Other areas in hotel seemed nice but didn’t use much.
Really quiet and good hotel, friendly staff even borrowed an umbrella
I loved the location, the hotel was clean and comfortable however the design of the bathroom was, in my opinion, completely stupid. The door doesn’t close completely, so no privacy when using it, when showering the frosted glass is virtually see-through, so again no privacy. I’d like to know what idiot thought of that design and what idiot signed it off.
The most valuable aspect was its location in the center of Copenhagen. The room had enough space for two adults and a baby. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast consisted of high-quality products, mostly organic and healthy. The only issue we experienced was that we accidentally stained the bed sheet. Housekeeping could have replaced it, but unfortunately they didn’t.
The team at Motel One was very nice and helpful and all the time they were friendly and polite. We enjoyed being at Motel One CPH.
Only recommendation is to have coffee makers in the rooms. Otherwise, very clean hotel in a great location!
I really like the Motel One hotels; all was very good. My one disappointment with the hotel in Copenhagen was the absence of a desk in the room. There was no set down space in the room or the bathroom, and I found this frustrating. Otherwise, people were pleasant and hotel was good.
Great staff great location
The location and overall comfort of our stay were perfect. We were traveling with three small children, which can be challenging at times, but we never once felt that they were a nuisance to the Motel One staff or other guests. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. We especially loved the quality and selection of the breakfast — everything was fresh and thoughtfully chosen. The only minor point of improvement would be the scrambled eggs, which were a bit too salty for our taste. The reception staff were phenomenal — so kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The only thing I would mention is that the room felt a bit too small for two people.
Everything very good except for bad service at the bar from one particular person. He closed the bar sooner then he should and really just didn´t feel like working anymore. Went to the back and it looked like he was hiding so we couldn´t order anything.
Very nice stay, location perfect. Would have liked to have a working tv... the chromecast thing is not an option.

Your hotel in Copenhagen
Our affordable design hotel in Copenhagen is located right in the centre of the Danish capital, opposite the city hall and the Rådhuspladsen. From here, you can easily reach all of Copenhagen’s top sights – and there are plenty of them to explore. After all, the capital is one of the most important cities in northern Europe and a popular destination for city breaks, not least because it offers one of the best qualities of life in the world.
What does Copenhagen have to offer?
Top of the list of highlights is the city’s iconic landmark, The Little Mermaid. The statue of the character from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale awaits you on the Langelinie waterside promenade, around 30 minutes from our hotel. You’ll also find Copenhagen’s citadel here, a star-shaped 17th century fortress open to the public. And did you spot Charlottenborg Palace and the Old Stock Exchange on the walk over? You’ll also have passed Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish parliament. It’s conveniently located by Copenhagen’s gastronomic hub, Nyhavn, or ‘new harbour’. There’s something to suit everyone’s tastes in the streets of this area, with their brightly coloured gabled houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. But Copenhagen’s lively history as a port and trading city – and the resulting architecture – is far from the only reason to visit. By the harbour, you’ll find the Royal Danish Theatre and Royal Danish Library, also known as the ‘Black Diamond’. Here, it’s not just what’s on the inside that counts: these notable examples of modern architecture are worth a stop on any city tour. And if they’ve inspired you to seek out more Nordic design, the Design Museum Denmark displays objects from the workshops of Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Just a short walk from our hotel lies Freetown Christiania, an autonomous area that offers a very different perspective on Copenhagen – including from an architectural point of view. The alternative housing development in the district of Christianshavn has been self-governed since its creation in the 1970s and is a symbol of Denmark’s progressive culture. Our hotel in Copenhagen is also a perfect starting point for leisure activities: Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park, lies directly opposite. Or is Copenhagen just the first step on your Nordic discovery tour? Perfect: our affordable design hotel is located just north of the Øresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen with its neighbour Sweden.
Diversity meets hygge – your Motel One hotel in Copenhagen
In addition to everything else that the city of Copenhagen has to offer, our design hotel strives to make your visit to the Danish capital even more enjoyable. What does hygge mean? The term refers to a cosy, homely atmosphere in which you can enjoy the good things in life together with your loved ones. There’s no better way to describe our hotel experience in Copenhagen. Book our affordable hotel now and enjoy top service and a creative ambience with our traditional turquoise value for money.
