always the best in town...
the atmosphere of the lobby and the breakfast area are great. However, the room are just completely unadapted to business travellers with no desk in the room to be able to work on your laptop!
The staff, breakfast, location, and room were absolutely top notch! The noise at night was so loud it prevented a good night's sleep all three nights.
The staff at this hotel were bright, cheerful, friendly and helpful. The room was nice, the bar was well stocked and breakfast was yummy
Sorry, i forgot to give You my bike key. It was BIKE NO 14, I will send it by post, back to You!
In the bathroom, the for to the shower needs to be fixed. Room 169.
All excellent, prefer if windows had net curtains as overlooked by apartment opposite
Great location. Services are okay. Room is fine but quite minimalistic.
Room was nice with everything you need, except a desk perhaps. It was also clean. Service was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, had plenty of options.
Thank you so much for the baby crib support and your understanding, everything was very pleasant.
Comfortable hotel and convenient location but unable to sleep with the tower bell gonging until midnight. I would not recommend this hotel if you want to sleep well.
Great location, room was good & bed comfortable and nice view. Staff were friendly too & definitely one of my favorite hotels in the Motel One brand. Only issue was the noise from the bars outside & curtains too small so couldn’t black out room at night!
No Issues, Nice clean room and helpful staff
Super tiny double room (#403) with only one Power socket. That was definitively embarrassing and not state of the art. staff is friendly and helpful
Excellent breakfast service! The swedish waitress from Vellinge is extremely kind and helpful. Give her a raise!
Room nice and well cleaned but the bathroom is to small and poor of privacy due mainly to the door
Very central position to see Copenhagen. The staff is very nice and welcoming, and the view from the bedroom was very beautiful. The only negative aspect was the unsufficient cleaning level of the bedroom.
Great location. Very central. Great bed and shower. Large bathroom with 2 sinks. Very clean. Excellent service at reception. So why not a ten? The room is very minimalist. It could use a bit of colour - something to freshen it up and make it seem less dark/grey. A big thank you to Minela who helped me find and book a doctor. She is fantastic!
Overall, it is always a great experience.
Short but very well! Nice atmophere, receptionists very kind, room essential but cleaned, breakfast good and varied.
Perfect hotel. Great location, spacious room, and incredibly nice, helpful staff. The only downside is the monotonous breakfast – it could use more variety. Other than that, everything was top-notch. Recommended!
Great Service and very professional
Lovely hotel with great location with a five minute walk to the city centre one way and literally, a couple minute walk to the canel the other way. Plenty of little cafes, bars and small individual shops. The staff in the hotel were very polite and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble if you needed anything. My wife and I would fully recommend this hotel. The only downside was that they knew it was a “special occasion “,a complementary drink or something wouldn’t have gone a miss.
The Copenhagen location of Motel One is nearly perfect. Their employees couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Breakfast there is a great deal, with a wide selection of items, including the best bacon I've had in Europe. There is a little bit of an issue with street noise, if you stay in a room that overlooks the street. By American standards, the room and bathroom sizes are small, but they were clean and functional. I'd go back, if the opportunity arises.
Great Hotel, perfect location for a short city trip. Friendly staff attending to every need.
Lovely stay. Great location. Clean. Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help me find my jacket and mail it back to me. Special shout out to Marcelo for being so helpful!! We always have a good experience at Motel Ones. This is our 3rd stay in one, each in a different city. Great if you are just staying a few nights and want clean, easy and nice accommodations.
Overall everything as expected, but for about 250 EUR per night, I expect that breakfast is included
Reception was under staffed, we did not have the motel one feeling as in all motel ones we have stayed at. Great location as always, staff was kind and friendly. Very expensive for a city stay. Elevator very inconvenient, very heavy door to open,
Everything was fine except for the sound insulation. Both from the hall and from outside. Makes it hard to sleep or just feel properly at ease in the room
Great hotel, would stay here again.
Clean, simple but on point, perfectly located
Fantastic location, at a few minutes’ walk from the central area of the city Small room, but fine for a few days’ stay Great breakfast although a bit expensive
Overall a very nice hotel and good location! Very nice breakfast ! We had a small double room. What brings the score down on the room is first the “door” to the bathroom, not a proper door you can close. Big gap all around. Second is the bed. Not 160-180 cm as in the description but a 140.
Convenient and centrally located, a short walk from most tourist destinations and a wide range of bars and restaurants. Facilities are ok - though the small "cosy" rooms are suitable really only for people who will use the hotel room purely for sleeping/showering etc. Purely functional - and can be expensive if that's all you need a room for.
Thank you so much to the lovely team at Motel One! We had a great stay, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, with a lovely breakfast. The hotel staff were all so friendly and helpful , especially Dragos.
Kind and hardworker staff with clean rooms and hotel. Lounge bar staff was beyond my expectations also with cleaning ladies and reception
Very central and nice hotel. Breakfast could be opening at 6:30
We up grades the room to get a bigger one and it was still small
Overall I enjoyed my 2-week stay at the hotel very much! The service and hospitality provided by the breakfast team and the hospitality shown by my welcoming receptionist (Milena was her name if I can remember correctly) were the highlights of my stay in the hotel. I could always rely on the reception team for any assistance whenever I required it. If I were to nitpick and critique some points, it would be that I would appreciate that the fresh new towels were to be placed back in its spot in the bathroom and also to not forget about the cleaning cloth once the cleaning team was finish (granted this was a singular event, understandable if the person was overwhelmed with their work). Another point would be to not place pyjamas on suitcases and having them come in contact with the floor. While this may be trivial to some, but suitcases are not the most sanitary objects, and pyjamas coming in contact with the floor was not really an ideal situation (this happened on two occasions). I've been in their shoes before, working the same job; this is me nitpicking so please do not reprimand the team for these tiny mistakes, but rather as constructive feedback to improve. Thank you for making my stay in CPH a wonderful one! Looking forward to be back! :)
Your employees were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. There were some minor noise issues at night, but we slept well. We'll be back.
The hotel parking garage is extremely poorly designed. The entrance and ramps are so steep that our car scraped badly, and the parking spaces are far too narrow. As a result, our car was damaged with a significant scratch. There was no information whatsoever on the hotel website about the very limited and narrow parking conditions, so we relied on the staff’s recommendation instead of arranging an alternative parking option in advance. Unfortunately, once we drove down into the garage, we painfully realized that the situation was completely unsuitable — and by then it was already too late. Guests should clearly be warned beforehand, for example with visible signs, notices, or clear information on the website regarding the restricted parking space and difficult access.
Had a great stay! Only thing to say - the Lady at the reception who gave me the room keys had a bit of an attitude that made me feel uncomfortable. The Rest of the Staff was Great and very friendly.
Kind staff, location, and room were great. The loud voices late into the night from the nearby hostel caused sleep interruptions and the bathroom setup was unusually awkward
I room is set up quite poorly. the bed was not comfortable at all. I do not recommend such a set up of a room. it good too warm and was very noisy. each time someone closed the door in the corridor it made a loud bang.
Desk staff were extremely helpful and the room was quiet and cozy, everything that I needed!
Loved the place, great location, friendly and helpful staff, only thing missing in the room was USB charging sockets and a coffee and tea tray.
We loved everything about our stay- from the comfortable bed, the warm hospitality, to the ease of luggage check. We will definitely stay at a Motel One again!
All very good. Shouldn't I get a bottle of water as beOne member?
Very good location, clean and the staff were helpful.everthink were great
Perfect location. Very friendly staff. Public areas are nicely designed and open at all times. Room was nice but small an unfurnished especially for a week stay. I could here next door guys… Breakfast was very nice but completely repetitive. A coffee set in the room must be essential this days!

Location and surroundings
Your hotel in Copenhagen
Our affordable design hotel in Copenhagen is located right in the centre of the Danish capital, opposite the city hall and the Rådhuspladsen. From here, you can easily reach all of Copenhagen’s top sights – and there are plenty of them to explore. After all, the capital is one of the most important cities in northern Europe and a popular destination for city breaks, not least because it offers one of the best qualities of life in the world.
What does Copenhagen have to offer?
Top of the list of highlights is the city’s iconic landmark, The Little Mermaid. The statue of the character from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale awaits you on the Langelinie waterside promenade, around 30 minutes from our hotel. You’ll also find Copenhagen’s citadel here, a star-shaped 17th century fortress open to the public. And did you spot Charlottenborg Palace and the Old Stock Exchange on the walk over? You’ll also have passed Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish parliament. It’s conveniently located by Copenhagen’s gastronomic hub, Nyhavn, or ‘new harbour’. There’s something to suit everyone’s tastes in the streets of this area, with their brightly coloured gabled houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. But Copenhagen’s lively history as a port and trading city – and the resulting architecture – is far from the only reason to visit. By the harbour, you’ll find the Royal Danish Theatre and Royal Danish Library, also known as the ‘Black Diamond’. Here, it’s not just what’s on the inside that counts: these notable examples of modern architecture are worth a stop on any city tour. And if they’ve inspired you to seek out more Nordic design, the Design Museum Denmark displays objects from the workshops of Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Just a short walk from our hotel lies Freetown Christiania, an autonomous area that offers a very different perspective on Copenhagen – including from an architectural point of view. The alternative housing development in the district of Christianshavn has been self-governed since its creation in the 1970s and is a symbol of Denmark’s progressive culture. Our hotel in Copenhagen is also a perfect starting point for leisure activities: Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park, lies directly opposite. Or is Copenhagen just the first step on your Nordic discovery tour? Perfect: our affordable design hotel is located just north of the Øresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen with its neighbour Sweden.
Diversity meets hygge – your Motel One hotel in Copenhagen

What does hygge mean? The term refers to a cosy, homely atmosphere in which you can enjoy the good things in life together with your loved ones. There’s no better way to describe our hotel experience in Copenhagen. Book our affordable hotel now and enjoy top service and a creative ambience with our traditional turquoise value for money.
