Very good location, helpful staff, clean room and wonderful breakfast. The room was a little bit smaller than I expected, but still very comfortable. Most of the sights are in walking distance, and public transportation to/from the airport is also good (appr. 30 minutes).
The room was clean, the staff was very polite. The only negative thing I can say is at our second day in hotel we put our towels to the floor with the idea that they will be changes, but at the end of the day no one had cleaned our room or changed the towels
the room was boiling. Jesus, no AC in the room during the summer?
Overall a good hotel, great location and good Staff. The only though is that there were no aircondition in our room. There was a aircondition unit in the room, but it was not working. Our room was so hot it was almost impossible to slepp. Must have been 30 degrees celsius inside.
No air conditioning - when the outside temperature is above 25°C, the room is too warm to sleep comfortably. With the window open, noise from nearby bars makes it difficult to sleep. The window can only be reached by climbing over the bed. The room has an unpleasant musty smell.
Good location, great breakfast, clean. Air conditioning would be a big improvement.
Not having air conditioning in 2026 is really big issue, especially for a hotel. The rooms are very very small
The hotel rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. The downside was that there was no air conditioning in the rooms, so it became very hot. Air conditioning is definitely needed during the summer, as relying on a ceiling fan is not enough. The breakfast was excellent. I thought the bicycle rental was quite expensive, and the bikes were a bit worn out. The hotel is in a great location and has a beautiful interior design. However, the "Motel One" signs look a bit cheap and make the hotel feel more like a budget hotel. I would consider replacing the signs and perhaps even changing the name. Thank you for a great stay!
Staff is absolutely amazing! I like the central location of the hotel, small but sooo cute & clean rooms, nice lounge area. I’m coming back for the 2nd time and I believe it’s not the last! 🙂
Very nice location with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very nice and clean. The bar made excellent cocktails. Overall a great location to stay in central Copenhagen.
In general good but no AC in rooms is really bad.
Nice hotel. Perfekt place
Everything was excellent- the only things that would have made it better- was to have a fridge in the room and an air conditioner
Perfect location! Small but cosy and clean room.
Spot on location, too litle parking ((in my case it wasn't the problem - I had a motorcycle!)
Location perfect Breakfast perfect Madalena was very helpfull
Other than location there is nothing to recommend about Motel one Copenhagen
2nd year staying in one of you locations (Barcelona and now Copenhagen). this year was great, people were great, room comfortable. and location perfect. In particular Frederico, Lilly, Rebecca, Pardig, Magdelana , were all very pleasant and attentive.
The staff are welcoming and will go to a great length to serve.. The building is disappointing
Well located, nice resting area on first floor and good breakfast. Friendly personnel.
Perfectly located near stores and the metro. Affordable early check-in. Comfortable room with a ceiling fan and windows that open.
I think what makes this hotel great is the people that work in this hotel, that are allways 100% percent willing to help and so nice when we needed something or we had a problem. A special thank you to Declan from the reception, who was really amazing with us and really trying to help to the best with an issue we had. Great staying ! The only thing that could be ameliorated is to have curtains that keep the room dark. I had pink curtains, which were not efficient, too much light from outside in my room already at 4 am.
Perfect location Nice and pleasant stuf The bathroom door won't close, so there is no privacy. Very basic room No air condition
The Roma were too small and there wasn’t any socket in the bathroom
Great location, good bed and shower, nice with 24h open bar for coffee etc. Would have been nice to have shampoo and conditioner in the room instead of the combo hair&body, or at least for sale in the reception. Otherwise
Excellent hotel, friendly staff and very central
Our overall experience was fine, although there were some inconveniences. Such as some hair left in the shower or no place to sit except the bed in our room (and you don’t want to sit there when coming from outside ). Plus the bed was too soft and because of that we didn’t sleep well. Anyway, I’d likely consider staying here again, mainly for the convenient location and good price.
always the best in town...
the atmosphere of the lobby and the breakfast area are great. However, the room are just completely unadapted to business travellers with no desk in the room to be able to work on your laptop!
The staff, breakfast, location, and room were absolutely top notch! The noise at night was so loud it prevented a good night's sleep all three nights.
The staff at this hotel were bright, cheerful, friendly and helpful. The room was nice, the bar was well stocked and breakfast was yummy
Sorry, i forgot to give You my bike key. It was BIKE NO 14, I will send it by post, back to You!
In the bathroom, the for to the shower needs to be fixed. Room 169.
All excellent, prefer if windows had net curtains as overlooked by apartment opposite
Great location. Services are okay. Room is fine but quite minimalistic.
Room was nice with everything you need, except a desk perhaps. It was also clean. Service was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, had plenty of options.
Thank you so much for the baby crib support and your understanding, everything was very pleasant.
Comfortable hotel and convenient location but unable to sleep with the tower bell gonging until midnight. I would not recommend this hotel if you want to sleep well.
Great location, room was good & bed comfortable and nice view. Staff were friendly too & definitely one of my favorite hotels in the Motel One brand. Only issue was the noise from the bars outside & curtains too small so couldn’t black out room at night!
No Issues, Nice clean room and helpful staff
Super tiny double room (#403) with only one Power socket. That was definitively embarrassing and not state of the art. staff is friendly and helpful
Excellent breakfast service! The swedish waitress from Vellinge is extremely kind and helpful. Give her a raise!
Room nice and well cleaned but the bathroom is to small and poor of privacy due mainly to the door
Very central position to see Copenhagen. The staff is very nice and welcoming, and the view from the bedroom was very beautiful. The only negative aspect was the unsufficient cleaning level of the bedroom.
Great location. Very central. Great bed and shower. Large bathroom with 2 sinks. Very clean. Excellent service at reception. So why not a ten? The room is very minimalist. It could use a bit of colour - something to freshen it up and make it seem less dark/grey. A big thank you to Minela who helped me find and book a doctor. She is fantastic!
Overall, it is always a great experience.
Short but very well! Nice atmophere, receptionists very kind, room essential but cleaned, breakfast good and varied.
Perfect hotel. Great location, spacious room, and incredibly nice, helpful staff. The only downside is the monotonous breakfast – it could use more variety. Other than that, everything was top-notch. Recommended!
Great Service and very professional
Lovely hotel with great location with a five minute walk to the city centre one way and literally, a couple minute walk to the canel the other way. Plenty of little cafes, bars and small individual shops. The staff in the hotel were very polite and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble if you needed anything. My wife and I would fully recommend this hotel. The only downside was that they knew it was a “special occasion “,a complementary drink or something wouldn’t have gone a miss.

Your hotel in Copenhagen
Our affordable design hotel in Copenhagen is located right in the centre of the Danish capital, opposite the city hall and the Rådhuspladsen. From here, you can easily reach all of Copenhagen’s top sights – and there are plenty of them to explore. After all, the capital is one of the most important cities in northern Europe and a popular destination for city breaks, not least because it offers one of the best qualities of life in the world.
What does Copenhagen have to offer?
Top of the list of highlights is the city’s iconic landmark, The Little Mermaid. The statue of the character from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale awaits you on the Langelinie waterside promenade, around 30 minutes from our hotel. You’ll also find Copenhagen’s citadel here, a star-shaped 17th century fortress open to the public. And did you spot Charlottenborg Palace and the Old Stock Exchange on the walk over? You’ll also have passed Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish parliament. It’s conveniently located by Copenhagen’s gastronomic hub, Nyhavn, or ‘new harbour’. There’s something to suit everyone’s tastes in the streets of this area, with their brightly coloured gabled houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. But Copenhagen’s lively history as a port and trading city – and the resulting architecture – is far from the only reason to visit. By the harbour, you’ll find the Royal Danish Theatre and Royal Danish Library, also known as the ‘Black Diamond’. Here, it’s not just what’s on the inside that counts: these notable examples of modern architecture are worth a stop on any city tour. And if they’ve inspired you to seek out more Nordic design, the Design Museum Denmark displays objects from the workshops of Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Just a short walk from our hotel lies Freetown Christiania, an autonomous area that offers a very different perspective on Copenhagen – including from an architectural point of view. The alternative housing development in the district of Christianshavn has been self-governed since its creation in the 1970s and is a symbol of Denmark’s progressive culture. Our hotel in Copenhagen is also a perfect starting point for leisure activities: Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park, lies directly opposite. Or is Copenhagen just the first step on your Nordic discovery tour? Perfect: our affordable design hotel is located just north of the Øresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen with its neighbour Sweden.
