The bed was too soft. There was no possibility to make tea or coffee in the room. The music was too loud in the dining room at breakfast time. Music was also a useless nuisance inside the lift. There should be a shelf in the bathroom to put our things on. In spite of that it was a good experience.
Location is perfect for Tivoli Gardens and the Centre. The standard rooms are on the small side and cramped for two people. Breakfast was excellent and would recommend although restaurant was very busy no matter what time we went and struggled to get a table. Bar was lovely and so was bar food.
Great value for money . The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was excellent, the location couldn't have been better. The overall decor was comfortable and modern. The bar (and Frederico) was a great place for snacks and relaxing. Thank you!!!
Second time I've stayed at a motel one, previous stay in Vienna. Gorgeous hotel with incredible decor and friendly staff.
Location was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. However we did have an issue with our room being small and ground floor corner so unable to open curtains while in the room. Team were happy to move us however your cleaning team had left so we ended staying in the room for the entire weekend.
Thank you very much! Hotel is very nice local, staff is welcome, rooms are cosy. Nothing else required!
Great hotel. Great location . Fantastic bar , friendly staff.
A most enjoyable stay. The staff were most helpful, especially Issam who was most helpful in every way. Thank you. Highly recommend this hotel.
It was my third trip to Copenhagen and my third time staying at Motel One. I couldn't ask for a more hospitable, well-organized, and economical place to stay in the city. I highly recommend them!
Had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to appear at front desk for check in. Room was fine but TV uses Chromecast system which we couldn't get to work after multiple attempts and different devices so rendered the TV useless. Shower door not practical and caused water to flood outside of the bathroom.
Fantastic location, superb staff and the design and cleanliness of the building was fab. The room was well appointed and we were lucky enough to have a view of the rooftops of Copenhagen .
Wonderful stay! The hotel is well located to Tivoli Gardens and the heart of the old city. We enjoyed walking to all the Christmas markets, shops and restaurants. A special thanks to Minela, Marcelo and Dragos at reception for answering all our questions and making our morning lattes, and Frederico for making our evening cocktails! Such warm and friendly people.
Street noise was quite loud from an adjacent bar on weekday nights, despite all windows being closed and being on the 4th floor. Otherwise perfect stay.
Excellent location and staff. Very small room. It would be good to have a bedside table and plug socket on both sides of the bed. Also, a kettle or fasciitis to make tea or coffee. The Wi-Fi drops out frequently and has to be re entered.
Great hotel, excellent location, clean, friendly staff and excellent value for money.
Very hospitable staff. Friendly vibes and comfortable stay very close to the city center of Copenhagen. The rooms are very clean and tidy
Brilliant hotel location, clean and comfortable; staff in bar were great and very friendly/ helpful. Being very pedantic we would have loved it if it had tea/coffee making facilities in the room; or a free tea/coffee station in the bar in the morning. Only reason we didn’t have breakfast was so many places in the city to try😀
Perfect location, staff were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was calm and chilled. Felt very safe. I thought the breakfast was too expensive but it was very good quality food. The room was tiny but we were given the option to go front or back of the building which was quieter.. The room was ready when we arrived which was much appreciated. Everywhere was extremely clean and comfortable. Room was tiny but spotless and lovely soft bed! Thank you to the lovely staff!
No safe box, no minibar in room. No amenities like slippers, toothbrush or toothpaste etc. no soundproofing. Housekeeping didn’t clean the floor in the room at least 2 days as there was something like sugar next to the bed that I could see and feel under my feet, and even that the housekeeping was setting up the bed everyday didn’t vacuumed or mopped. Same applies in the bathroom as I could see the same hair in front of the shower early in the morning and it was still there, late in the evening when we were returning in the room. Generally it was very clean as a hotel but the details make the difference. It was warm enough , close to the center and the metro station.
We really enjoyed our stay at One Motel Copenhagen. The location is great being near Tivoli Gardens and the metro. We found all the staff friendly and helpful.
Really friendly staff on reception, in the restaurant and at the bar. Made me feel welcome and nothing too much trouble. Booked the cosy room, the room is an okay size but the bathroom is quite small however the room was very clean and up to a good standard. A great location to explore Copenhagen and close to the main station.
All good, except the beds. They are too soft. I never ever have seen any hotel that had beds where you sink in by 30 cm ….killing your back. There was no option for a firm matress, but was offered and upgrade to larger room with a Bensch aside, that I used as my bed then. I would come again, if there would be a bed that has acceptable, standard matresses. But wihout, never again…..
Great service from our arrival until departure. Great location. Good bar area and as always, fantastic value bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and pillows
The room was very basic but comfortable. However it lacked a safe for valuables which was a big problem for me. Cleaning was also poor – I returned to my room one afternoon to find my belongings had been knocked on the floor and left there, and I had not been given new paper cups to drink from even though the old ones had leaked and I’d put them in the trash. The front of house staff were friendly, the bar was a bit chaotic but fine. Motel one was only just the cheaper than other options for my stay, so I think there is room for improvement if I am to return.
Perfect !
I would like to have a closable door to the toilet and the possibility to turn on the light in the toilet without having the whole hotel room lit up. If you are two in the room and one need to go in the middle of the night, you want to do what you need to do without waking up the other. I will never again chose your hotel due to this architectural mistake. Also I enjoy to watch television and your hotel did not provide TV.
Except for missing berries at breakfast our stay was flawless
I was really surprised how wonderful the hotel was located, furnished and lovely friendly staff who even went as far as helping with luggage from garage to reception. Even the breakfast far exceeded my expectations from other 4 star hotels. The beds were the best i slept in very comfortable!
Loved how helpful everyone was, the room was nice, great view, awesome location, breakfast was amazing
It was nice and pleasant, the hotel was also very close to the city center. The staff is nice and the room is clean! Regarding the price, for the amount of money that we pay, we feel that the room is kind of small.
Great location, helpful reception staff
Excellent hotel, the location is perfect for quickly getting around the city, and the big room is comfortable, and has super chic furnitures and interior.
Lovely staff, very helpful, the bar is gorgeous and relaxing. The rooms are very clean, the hotel decor is very welcoming and beautiful. And it was quiet at night too. The bathroom is a bit small and I thought there would be shampoo and conditioner in the hotel so I didn't bring any, trying to travel light.
I always stay at Motel 1 when I come to Europe, if there is a location. Everyone at the Copenhagen location was so friendly and helpful. I felt at home for the 4 nights I stayed. Motel 1 is the best deal for a stylish hotel without spending a lot of money.
This was our second visit to Copenhagen. We loved the convenience of the hotel location. Staff were friendly. The room was comfortable with a hygge vibe. The breakfast buffet had a variety. This hotel offered a great value. We would definitely recommend it.
Everything was great as always ! Great team, great work ! Difficult to give a "10", but a "9" is like a "10" !!!
I stayed in motel one Brussels and I love it. Hence I choose motel one Copenhagen this time. Location is very good and hotel is clean. Only drawback is no kettle in the room. I opt for no cleaning and wanted to clear the rubbish. Cannot find the cleaner.
Good personality , good area
Very nice hotel, good staff, nice rooms and interior decoration. Well situated. I liked it a lot and will be happy to return!
Nice hotel in a nice area
Nice, but the room was a bit too small. The bed is super, would be good to have thinner pillows like in other MotelOne
Was good, good service, good reception, good room and clean.
Its been great! Thank you
Great location and very kind staff. Providing our experience with a 6 due to the actual room. The bathroom door didn't have a proper lock and on both sides of the door and the door frame, there was an inch of space. This gave no privacy when using the bathroom. Our room was also not properly cleaned when we first entered. Breakfast is also very expensive, so we opted to eat out. The staff gave us no issue when we brought food back and ate in the lounge.
We often stay in Motel Ones when on short breaks and have to say this is an excellent one. The location is excellent and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Nothing in Copenhagen is cheap but it was good to see the bar prices were no more expensive than others in the area. My only criticism is the beds. With being a hotel Motel One have taken over from another company some of the rooms are quite small. This means the beds are much smaller than we are used to in a Motel One and the mattress was very soft. As somebody who suffers with back issues the firm beds normally offered are part of the reason we keep going back and these are not what we are used to.
We had a lovely stay - the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great location as it was near a metro station and the room was perfect for solo traveling.
My wife and I stayed at Motel 1 Copenhagen for two nights at the commencement of our European holiday. We found the location to be one of the best highlights, along with the friendly and welcoming customer service we received from the team. The room was neat and tidy, and just the right size for the two of us to sleep off our jet lag. We also took advantage of the buffet breakfast, and found it to be very satisfying. The fresh bread was a highlight! If you are looking for affordable accommodation in the heart of Copenhagen than this is your pick!
Most unconfirtable stay at a Motel One. Very small rooms and some things which are Motel One Standard missed: no cosmetic mirror in the bathroom, no central light in the room, no table to work on. The price for what is offered is a lot to high, that's not worth a Motel One.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast very good and there was also gluten free bread available for my girlfriend :) Receptionist called Issam made the whole experience at Motel One perfect. I have been in a lot of Hotels, but this guy is different and one of the reason for the total score of 10. I will come next year :) Thank you guys.

Your hotel in Copenhagen
Our affordable design hotel in Copenhagen is located right in the centre of the Danish capital, opposite the city hall and the Rådhuspladsen. From here, you can easily reach all of Copenhagen’s top sights – and there are plenty of them to explore. After all, the capital is one of the most important cities in northern Europe and a popular destination for city breaks, not least because it offers one of the best qualities of life in the world.
What does Copenhagen have to offer?
Top of the list of highlights is the city’s iconic landmark, The Little Mermaid. The statue of the character from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale awaits you on the Langelinie waterside promenade, around 30 minutes from our hotel. You’ll also find Copenhagen’s citadel here, a star-shaped 17th century fortress open to the public. And did you spot Charlottenborg Palace and the Old Stock Exchange on the walk over? You’ll also have passed Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish parliament. It’s conveniently located by Copenhagen’s gastronomic hub, Nyhavn, or ‘new harbour’. There’s something to suit everyone’s tastes in the streets of this area, with their brightly coloured gabled houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. But Copenhagen’s lively history as a port and trading city – and the resulting architecture – is far from the only reason to visit. By the harbour, you’ll find the Royal Danish Theatre and Royal Danish Library, also known as the ‘Black Diamond’. Here, it’s not just what’s on the inside that counts: these notable examples of modern architecture are worth a stop on any city tour. And if they’ve inspired you to seek out more Nordic design, the Design Museum Denmark displays objects from the workshops of Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Just a short walk from our hotel lies Freetown Christiania, an autonomous area that offers a very different perspective on Copenhagen – including from an architectural point of view. The alternative housing development in the district of Christianshavn has been self-governed since its creation in the 1970s and is a symbol of Denmark’s progressive culture. Our hotel in Copenhagen is also a perfect starting point for leisure activities: Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park, lies directly opposite. Or is Copenhagen just the first step on your Nordic discovery tour? Perfect: our affordable design hotel is located just north of the Øresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen with its neighbour Sweden.
