Lovely stay and staff were great. Very clean and beautiful breakfast. Would highly recommend.
Check in was smooth and easy. Front desk staff were always very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were a perfect size for one person with amenities such as an iron and iron board, shower gel, hand soap, towels, etc. Excellent location outside of the center with a metro stop at the corner of the street.
Everything was great. friendly staff. It would be great to have a couple more basics in the room like a coffee machine or kettle, a mini fridge , and better temperature control. Great breakfast. Comfy and practical lobby to hang out. Location not the best if you want to be in the middle of where everything is, but still walking distance from all main attractions.
My room it’s not a good at the shower. The glass shade is half size so water Can reach to tab.
Simply the best!
Optimal location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cozy ambiance with clean quarters. Vast options of breakfast.
Overall very good.
Very pleasant stay, lovely staff and a clean, quiet room
Nice, clean, structured good service but expensive
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Motel One Amsterdam. The staff was consistently friendly and welcoming, the reception team was efficient, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The location is excellent for visiting the RAI Exhibition Centre, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly throughout my stay. The room was on the smaller side, but still comfortable for a city trip. I would have preferred a slightly firmer mattress, and a small refrigerator would have been a nice addition. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly spacious. The breakfast was good and offered a solid selection of fresh products. However, I would have appreciated a few more hot options, such as scrambled eggs with bacon, to make it feel more complete. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others. I would definitely consider staying here again for my next visit to the RAI Exhibition Centre.
Friendly staff, good location. The aircon in the rooms couldn't deal with temperatures of about 30C outside, so the room never got below 25 degrees which is uncomfortable to sleep in. Also minus for no fridge in the room (extra annoying when the room is super warm).
The hotel offered exactly what we needed -> very close to the convention venue, close to the train station, cozy rooms, comfortable bathroom, nice launge etc. The breakfast was a little dissapointing due to the lack of any warm dishes to offer. The selection was overall good but I would love to be able to eat something warm in the morning (like scrambled eggs, pancakes etc.). We were a bit afraid of the lack of AC in the rooms but that was not the problem in the end -> the temperature was okay (a bit too cold at times but that can be solved with a sweater). One day the housekeeping took my dirty pillowcase and forgot to give a fresh one -> also small detail. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to be lose to the convention and values convenience.
I stayed in an accessible room. The bed was only 140 cm wide, which is already quite narrow for a couple or family members. For two people who are not partners, the bed is completely unacceptable and far too cramped. I would not recommend this room for friends or colleagues sharing their stay.
Overall good. One major remark: It doesn't make sense to ask whether we want the rooms cleaned at check-in, if we don't get a discount when we choose not to. Why should we pay the same amount if the service is less? I do not need the cleaning - but if I already paid for it I would never remove it. Think about giving a discount so not only the hotel benefits.
Room was small but had everything you need! Check in was smooth and professional. Stuff is super friendly and always there to help you. Cocktails at the bar were incredible! Also would like to admit the cleaning, room and lobby area were nice all the time! Definitely recommend it)
Friendly and helpful staff, quiet rooms that one can make cool and dark so good sleep. Good breakfast.
I liked everything about my stay and everything went really smoothly. The only thing I didn't like a lot were the blankets which seemed to be too thin and cheap for my taste, but I absolutely loved the pillows.
I found the Front Desk staff to be friendly and professional, even whenj they were slammed when two large groups (including ours) arrived within minutes of each other. The room fit our needs perfectly, though the cost to buy breakfast separately (appr 20€) is ridiculously expensive.
Loved my experience! Fresh and comfortable rooms, perfect location, excellent staff. No complaints!
The hotel was very clean and newly refurbed. The staff were outstanding, please let them know that. They were all lovely smiley and so helpful nothing was a bother
We booked at short notice due to an issue with our original hotel. Turned out to be a better choice than our original hotel. Motel One is in an excellent location and is so close to the metro is makes getting around so simple. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean with a great shower. Perfect for a short break
Prompt Service, great location, friendly staff
Everythign was great and meeting my expectations
Very accessible and comfortable, staff friendly and their aircon was amazing
Room was super clean and confortable. I chose this hostel cause in Amsterdam is more expensive and it was perfect 👌 All the staff is nice, thanks !
Good location for attending conference at RAI Room small but ok. No tea/coffee making or fridge in room Antonio on the front desk was especially helpful
Very friendly and helpful staff. Only one small wish: more tables on regular hight to have comfortable breakfast.
Excellent location, but bathroom layout needs improvement: I was very surprised by the poor bathroom amenities. No barriers: The shower area lacks a door or division, causing water to spill into the open bathroom space. Lack of basic hardware: There are no towel hangers available. Minimal supplies: Only one trash can is provided for the entire space. The bathroom only provides two paper cups, which are completely non-reusable, one unified soap. Room temperature was not controlled or working.
rooms are a little small, and not much space for hanging and putting your things but good bathroom and comfortable. Our first room was on the 1st floor with a view of a brick wall so we asked to be moved and were given better room on the 4th floor
A beautiful and welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. I hope that I will have a chance to visit you again.
I can understand that a small fridge in the room is maybe not within the quality range of this hotel but at least a coffee machine. I think I have never stayed at a hotel without the possibility to brew a cup of coffee or tea at night, either in the room or one at each floor by the elevators or similar. Except for this everything was good, but this alone is a reason for me not to stay at Motel One again.
Nice room. Very friendly staff.
I liked the hotel. It was clean, conveniently located and staff were very friendly. The breakfast is in the bar, with a lot of low tables. That's not the easiest place to eat.
Clean and comfortable
Everything was excellent. The only tiny comment I would make is that seating in the Room was uncomfortable…. A small sofa and no desk/ table. It would have been much better with 2 chairs. Otherwise perfect.
Great welcome at the front desk, always good to be welcome with a big smile! Was offered my free water without having to ask, which was great. Location was good, near the metro and walkable to many food and drink options. But far enough away from the crowds so it wasn't noisy.
Location was good. Liked the breakfast
I'm a frequent guest of MotelOne hotels, both for private and business travel, in various countries. As always, we were very happy with room, breakfast and in general with the hospitality we experienced in Amsterdam. Especially breakfast staff was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. However, this time we had an unpleasant experience that I would like to share: One of the reasons why we chose MotelOne for private travel is that we really appreciate to have one or two good night drinks in the bar when we arrive back in the hotel in the evening. We were told at the check in that the bar is open 24/7 for non-alcoholic drinks, however last call for alcoholic drinks is 23:00, for a Saturday evening this is very weired. OK, we arrived around midnight back in the hotel and wanted to have one (non-alcohlic) drink, and already ordering the drink the available staff was not very welcoming. Also there was a lot of dirty glasses on the tables of the bar, not a nice atmosphere. We found a clean table and sat down, finally recieved our drinks and just 10 minutes later the lady from reception started to remove all (electric) candles, bar menus etc from the tables and told us she had to prepare the area for the breakfast. I asked her to at least leave our table for 15 more minutes with the candles and the bar menues, to have a more pleasant atmosphere, but she strongly disagreed and told me she was not a bartender, there was no bartender, and she was told by her management to do so and if I am not happy I would need to speak to her management next morning. She continued to remove all bar equipment and created a very unpleasant atmosphere. Other guests spoke to us and were also quite irritated. This was really inappropriate behaviour, and not MotelOne style behaviour. Very disapointing.
It was a great stay, but the hotel cost 800 euros for five nights, yet there wasn't even a bottle of water or a mini-fridge in the room. They only introduced the bottle of water two days later. We arrived at 11 PM due to a flight delay and couldn't get anything to eat because the kitchen was closed; they wouldn't even make us a sandwich. I had to download the app in Dutch and order an Uber, which took an hour to arrive because it was pouring rain. That said, the staff were friendly, but I think they could have made us a sandwich—at least for my 14-year-old son.
The standard Motel One quality is again very pleasant. The room price level was higher than general Motel One level but still acceptable. As always the reception person was very helpful and kind at the check in and beyond. The family room was smaller than the similar family rooms in other Motel One hotels, probably because it is Amsterdam. The breakfast area was also limited with close spaced tables. The room facilities and amenities was pleasent and sufficient as always with Motel One.
Nice hotel in a nice área, 18 min walk from railway station
No in room clock or phone or face cloths for a face wash at night.
Very friendly, helpful and professional staff with customer in focus. Clean and cosy environment with tasty breakfast. My room was fresh, clean with fantastic view. We will for sure see each other next year during next Siemens Realize Live event, maybe even earlier. Thank you again for a pleasant stay. Best regards Arek Hansen
Room is small, but nice. It would be nice to have a mini kettle, mini fridge and small trash/bin in the room
The aircon at the 9th floor didn't work as well as before renovation. Fortunately, the staff offered me another room at the 6th floor where the temperature was a little bit cooler. Thank you
Clean room, I have some remark about the breakfast about the international breakfast that has limited meals
Super good, clean and well located hotel Big thanks to Nana, Yulia and Kristina from the reception
The staff were very welcoming. The room was very clean. We slept very well. We would have liked a kettle with tea/coffee making facilities. We would also have liked bigger bath towels.
Modern, comfortable and conveniently located hotel. Decent breakfast. Missed not having tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
The hotel is lovely and staff friendly and helpful. The facilities were also good. However I felt it was over priced, possibly due to its excellent location. I'd recommend this hotel but warn of the price.

Just a short break here is enough to get a taste. For a weekend get-away or city break of unparalleled relaxation, nothing beats this ever-changing port city. Although relatively compact, Amsterdam entertains millions of visitors every year, proving size isn’t everything.

Urban canals, history-laden sights and world-class museums make Amsterdam unique. The network of “grachten” that intersects Amsterdam comprises 165 canals with a total length of 100 km. And did you know that about 8,000 bikes get fished out of the canals every year!
The Kingdom of the Netherlands’s capital boasts multitudinous coffee shops, attracting a mainly international crowd. And if you’re looking for the best in international night-life, the urbane and lively scene round the Leidseplein or Rembrandtplein has plenty to satisfy. Cafés, bars, and clubs hosting international stars and DJs are ten a penny.
Amsterdam’s Canal District was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010. The grachten provide an unforgettable way to tour the city. If you're in the mood for a bit of exercise, you can brave the waters in a pedalo, or for a lazier conveyance, take a guided boat tour. There are even more spectacular options on hand: the “Floating Dutchman” amphibious vehicle will roll through the streets then float you right on to the canals.
One day in Amsterdam: Amstelpark, Damplatz and the Anne Frank House
Canal highlights include the “Golden Bend”, the 15 bridges between Reguliersgracht and Herengracht, and the picturesquely illuminated “Skinny Bridge”. The locals have a definite affinity for the water, as demonstrated by the houseboats lining the banks.
If you’re looking for a spot of greenery during your visit to Amsterdam, Our Design Hotel is handy for the Amstelpark, the expansive grounds of which receive nearly a million visitors a year and include a rhododendron garden, maze and Japanese-style garden – a perfect setting for a relaxing stroll.
History and art is also of course well represented. Three of the country’s most important sites – the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum and Het Rembrandthuis museum are nearby. Dam Square is a bustling hub of Amsterdam’s diverse metropolis, but also has an interesting history, and is lined with impressive architecture.
