I really loved it super clean, everything is brand new, friendly and vey helpful crew, good location close to trains, airport and city center, beautiful room view my only wish was if i had a mini fridge and an electric kettle included in the room otherwise it would have been one of the best of my hotel stays ever
Perfect, very professional and clean. Thank you!
Good connection to public transport / Amsterdam Centraal. Rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was great. Quite a bit outside of town center and not so much to do / see in the close-by area.
Great property, well located, clean, and friendly staff.
I stayed at motel one two years in a row and my stay was incredible! Thank you so much!
Room was clean, staff were very nice and helpful.
Everything was best
Very friendly and helpful team, who makes you feel very welcome and always gives 100 percent! Very good breakfast and bar! It was a lovely stay and I loved the quiet room with the spectacular view over Amsterdam on the 6 th floor! It was also very clean and the housekeeping was doing a perfect job, even on the hottest days! Thank you so much to all of you- I had a great time in Motel One Waterlooplein!! And I will definitely come to your wonderful place again!
Fabulous hotel and staff, great location
Hotel was clean and friendly,. reception staff were very helpful especially Antonio.
lovely hotel in a good location, easy access to metro, very sweet people at the reception desk. Slept really good
We've stayed at Motel One in various locations and it was first time that I felt that the room was really small. It was quite claustrophobic. The shelves at the side of the bed could hardly accommodate kindle and glasses.
I think this hotel is almost perfect, with the only downside being the poor breakfast.
Good location - not in the very centre, but very good transport options, metro right beside hotel. Max 15 mins from centre. Very close to De Pijp area which is lovely area too. Supermarket right beside the hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly. Room was good size, bed was very comfy, temperature was perfect. Bathroom and shower were good. Room was clean. Value was good, we were staying on a particularly busy weekend in Amsterdam and it was still good value.
Very very minimalist,, at least wardrobe must be,slipper must be, may be refrigerator
Our stay was perfect. We requested an early check-in and Yulia was kind enough to grant it - which mean the world to us after an early flight. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The service was really good. Location was great, close to the metro station. I would 100% recommend it.
Nice personal - great service - convenient location
Nice experience, it’s my second time in Motel One after Berlin. Good prices for a very high quality service. Breakfast was too expensive in fact I did it only twice. No toaster, no crumble eggs, not many choices for those who like salty breakfast.
Staff was fantastic. Air conditioning was having trouble keeping the room cool.
Everything was perfect
Everything was clean and perfect, really liked the design!
Beds were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.
The room was a little too cold even without the AC running or the AC supposedly running on 20/21 degrees - it stayed the same colder temperature in the room. My room card was a little „off“ since it took a few tries to open the door each time. I wanted to use the terrace but the door was closed(?) Everything else was great :) Staff were really nice and accommodating in general and when I had questions and requests. Room was clean and spacious. Lounge area was cute. Hotel and surrounding area felt safe.
Nice room, friendly staff
Short city break in Amsterdam
Lovely stay and staff were great. Very clean and beautiful breakfast. Would highly recommend.
Check in was smooth and easy. Front desk staff were always very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were a perfect size for one person with amenities such as an iron and iron board, shower gel, hand soap, towels, etc. Excellent location outside of the center with a metro stop at the corner of the street.
Everything was great. friendly staff. It would be great to have a couple more basics in the room like a coffee machine or kettle, a mini fridge , and better temperature control. Great breakfast. Comfy and practical lobby to hang out. Location not the best if you want to be in the middle of where everything is, but still walking distance from all main attractions.
My room it’s not a good at the shower. The glass shade is half size so water Can reach to tab.
Simply the best!
Optimal location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cozy ambiance with clean quarters. Vast options of breakfast.
Overall very good.
Very pleasant stay, lovely staff and a clean, quiet room
Nice, clean, structured good service but expensive
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Motel One Amsterdam. The staff was consistently friendly and welcoming, the reception team was efficient, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The location is excellent for visiting the RAI Exhibition Centre, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly throughout my stay. The room was on the smaller side, but still comfortable for a city trip. I would have preferred a slightly firmer mattress, and a small refrigerator would have been a nice addition. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly spacious. The breakfast was good and offered a solid selection of fresh products. However, I would have appreciated a few more hot options, such as scrambled eggs with bacon, to make it feel more complete. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others. I would definitely consider staying here again for my next visit to the RAI Exhibition Centre.
Friendly staff, good location. The aircon in the rooms couldn't deal with temperatures of about 30C outside, so the room never got below 25 degrees which is uncomfortable to sleep in. Also minus for no fridge in the room (extra annoying when the room is super warm).
The hotel offered exactly what we needed -> very close to the convention venue, close to the train station, cozy rooms, comfortable bathroom, nice launge etc. The breakfast was a little dissapointing due to the lack of any warm dishes to offer. The selection was overall good but I would love to be able to eat something warm in the morning (like scrambled eggs, pancakes etc.). We were a bit afraid of the lack of AC in the rooms but that was not the problem in the end -> the temperature was okay (a bit too cold at times but that can be solved with a sweater). One day the housekeeping took my dirty pillowcase and forgot to give a fresh one -> also small detail. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to be lose to the convention and values convenience.
I stayed in an accessible room. The bed was only 140 cm wide, which is already quite narrow for a couple or family members. For two people who are not partners, the bed is completely unacceptable and far too cramped. I would not recommend this room for friends or colleagues sharing their stay.
Overall good. One major remark: It doesn't make sense to ask whether we want the rooms cleaned at check-in, if we don't get a discount when we choose not to. Why should we pay the same amount if the service is less? I do not need the cleaning - but if I already paid for it I would never remove it. Think about giving a discount so not only the hotel benefits.
Room was small but had everything you need! Check in was smooth and professional. Stuff is super friendly and always there to help you. Cocktails at the bar were incredible! Also would like to admit the cleaning, room and lobby area were nice all the time! Definitely recommend it)
Friendly and helpful staff, quiet rooms that one can make cool and dark so good sleep. Good breakfast.
I liked everything about my stay and everything went really smoothly. The only thing I didn't like a lot were the blankets which seemed to be too thin and cheap for my taste, but I absolutely loved the pillows.
I found the Front Desk staff to be friendly and professional, even whenj they were slammed when two large groups (including ours) arrived within minutes of each other. The room fit our needs perfectly, though the cost to buy breakfast separately (appr 20€) is ridiculously expensive.
Loved my experience! Fresh and comfortable rooms, perfect location, excellent staff. No complaints!
The hotel was very clean and newly refurbed. The staff were outstanding, please let them know that. They were all lovely smiley and so helpful nothing was a bother
We booked at short notice due to an issue with our original hotel. Turned out to be a better choice than our original hotel. Motel One is in an excellent location and is so close to the metro is makes getting around so simple. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean with a great shower. Perfect for a short break
Prompt Service, great location, friendly staff
Everythign was great and meeting my expectations
Very accessible and comfortable, staff friendly and their aircon was amazing
Room was super clean and confortable. I chose this hostel cause in Amsterdam is more expensive and it was perfect 👌 All the staff is nice, thanks !

The relaxed metropolis
Relaxed, cosy, diverse and charming. A stay in our design hotels in Amsterdam lets you experience the uniquely charming spirit of the Dutch capital to the full. In this location close to the centre, you can recharge in individually-designed rooms, treat yourself to a drink at our bar, or use the free WiFi to plan your trip or meeting to perfection. Our reception staff are on hand round the clock!
Amsterdam can transform itself from one street to the next, and a single wander can show you winding alleyways, dreamy houseboats, monumental squares and the notorious red-light district. Just a short break here is enough to get a taste. For a weekend get-away or city break of unparalleled relaxation, nothing beats this ever-changing port city. Although relatively compact, Amsterdam entertains millions of visitors every year, proving size isn’t everything.
Budget Design Hotels in Amsterdam – your Motel One
Urban canals, history-laden sights and world-class museums make Amsterdam unique. The network of “grachten” that intersects Amsterdam comprises 165 canals with a total length of 100 km. And did you know that about 8,000 bikes get fished out of the canals every year!
The Kingdom of the Netherlands’s capital boasts multitudinous coffee shops, attracting a mainly international crowd. And if you’re looking for the best in international night-life, the urbane and lively scene round the Leidseplein or Rembrandtplein has plenty to satisfy. Cafés, bars, and clubs hosting international stars and DJs are ten a penny.
Amsterdam’s Canal District was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010. The grachten provide an unforgettable way to tour the city. If you're in the mood for a bit of exercise, you can brave the waters in a pedalo, or for a lazier conveyance, take a guided boat tour. There are even more spectacular options on hand: the “Floating Dutchman” amphibious vehicle will roll through the streets then float you right on to the canals.
One day in Amsterdam: Amstelpark, Damplatz and the Anne Frank House
Canal highlights include the “Golden Bend”, the 15 bridges between Reguliersgracht and Herengracht, and the picturesquely illuminated “Skinny Bridge”. The locals have a definite affinity for the water, as demonstrated by the houseboats lining the banks.
If you’re looking for a spot of greenery during your visit to Amsterdam, Our Design Hotel is handy for the Amstelpark, the expansive grounds of which receive nearly a million visitors a year and include a rhododendron garden, maze and Japanese-style garden – a perfect setting for a relaxing stroll.
History and art is also of course well represented. Three of the country’s most important sites – the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum and Het Rembrandthuis museum are nearby. Dam Square is a bustling hub of Amsterdam’s diverse metropolis, but also has an interesting history, and is lined with impressive architecture.
