6 Manchester Highlights

We have selected a few of our favourites facts and places to discover on your next trip to Manchester.

Hotel Manchester St Peter's Square

Chesterfield furniture, imposing bookshelves and checked patterns abound in our third hotel in Manchester, our Motel One Manchester-St. Peter’s Square, which is bursting with quintessential British cosiness. So settle in and enjoy a cup of tea before you set out from our design hotel to explore the city! Our Motel One Manchester-St. Peter’s Square is the ideal starting point for exploring ‘Cottonopolis’, as Manchester is also known thanks to its history as the centre of the cotton industry. If you’re heading somewhere specific – to the Old Trafford football stadium to watch a match, for example – then you can catch the tram directly from the St. Peter’s Square tram stop. And our hotel not only has great transport connections: its central location makes it perfect for anyone who prefers serendipity to schedules, and simply wants to wander about and see what they find. You can set off from our design hotel and soon find yourself in Chinatown or the lively Gay Village.

One for all

And there’s plenty more on offer on the doorstep of our affordable hotel. Countless city highlights lie just a few minutes’ walk away, such as the Palace Theatre, Manchester Art Gallery, St. Mary’s Church and the Science & Industry Museum. Art and culture fans will have plenty to keep them busy. In particular, bookworms and architecture buffs are sure to love visiting the nearby Portico Library, John Rylands Library or the Central Library – or even all three! They’re all memorable locations both inside and out, and can all be reached on foot.

Anyone travelling for business is also perfectly positioned at our affordable hotel in Manchester thanks to a quick, direction connection to the airport by public transport. Our design hotel also offers convenient check-in and check-out times and free wifi, to make sure your stay is efficient and a little more relaxed, even if you’re in a rush. The Manchester Central Convention Complex, with its conferences, trade fairs and events, is less than five minutes’ walk away. So you won’t lose any time travelling, and can enjoy a nice pint at the end of the day instead!

The perfect base

No matter what your Manchester trip looks like – whether it’s packed full of sightseeing or business meetings – you’re sure to get a good night’s rest with us and wake up refreshed for your day. Our affordable design hotel not only boasts modern rooms with super-comfy box-spring beds, but also an extensive breakfast buffet every morning, with a wide selection of regional, vegetarian and vegan specialities.
And in the evenings, before you hit the sack, it’s worth stopping by the bar in our Lounge, where you can enjoy snacks like delicious toasted sandwiches, and of course drinks like gin and tonic – for another kind of toast! So cheers to Manchester!
