Great stay in a great location. Only negative was no USB ports in the bedroom and didn’t bring a charging plug!
Very clean and friendly staff
The lights on the room and especially in the shower room were very cold and very bright. The moment I needed to wind down and prepare to sleep, I was hit in the eye with the strongest lights. Conversely, the lights at the breakfast bar were very dim, the moment when I needed to wake up and see how much salt I was putting on my boiled egg, I couldn't see a thing.
Room is clean and comfortable. Would benefit from a second chair. Shower pressure not brilliant.
Staff at Reception on arrival (Maria) was very helpful Room very clean Breakfast was very good. Breakfast sofas seating not very comfortable to eat Overall experience was very good, as usual Looking forward for our next visit
I could not fault the staff, extremely helpful especially during a medical emergency which required an ambulance and during recovery period After hospital discharge They did all they could possibly do to help in my recovery The accessible room I was in was far superior to the one in Newcastle and Manchester Piccadilly as actually had somewhere to put things on both sides of the bed and plug in devices like a cpap machine the other two hotels struggled with that. They unlike this one only provided shelf/table space on one side only whereas St Peter’s square motel one had adequate sockets and shelves for everything
Everything was excellent
Top Location, very kind staff
Great hotel. Good location. Nice having bar open till late.
Room comfortable and spacious, staff were all really pleasant and efficient.
As previously the hotel was excellent. Our only issue was the lack of interest by the reception staff. We were not given a free bottle of water voucher which we had on previous stays.
Motel One is my goto hotel when I stay in Manchester.
Incredibly helpful team - with Thadah in particular going way and above the call of duty - thank you so much
Another excellent stay at Motel One. This was our 3rd stay here. Rooms are a good size, well presented and always immaculately clean. Probably the comfiest beds we have slept in. Good amenities with tea/coffee facilities, a safe, hair dryer etc. Plenty of mirrors around the room. Good amount of natural light from the large windows which also open. The bathroom is very nice, well presented and designed with a very good and hot shower. My only criticism of the bathroom is that the sink has no option to close the plug properly to allow the sink to be filled. The hotel itself is clean and very modern with an excellent bar. Navigating through is also easy with quick lift facilities and easy to read corridors. The reception staff are very friendly and polite with good knowledge of the hotel and also welcomed us back. Check out at 12 is excellent with not a lot of hotels offering this late for free. Check out is simple with being able to just drop the card keys off if staff are busy with other guests. All in all a very good stay again at Motel One St Peter's Square and we look forward to staying in the future.
Room much smaller than others. Staff not overly friendly
Perfect central location for a short break. Easy check in. Check Out. Lobby Bar great and open until 2.00am. Very clean and fresh bedroom and bathroom. Excellent vaue for money.
Check in team/manager were awesome. Room was very cold and unable to warm all night. Quite uncomfortable
There was a receptionist (Maria) who made our stay horrible - from check in until the end with any requests we had. The worst was her embarassing us upon check in when we needed to take some stuff out of our luggage from the luggage room to simply change in the hotel bathrooms as our rooms were not ready. This was after a saga we experienced with her from the start of the check in process, where again all throughout she was rude with us and quite embarrassing in front of other guests. Also my friends had a smaller room than what was paid for and different to mine. Completely opposite experience to my previous stays where I had the best stays at the hotel.
Friendly and efficient welcome as always, spotlessly clean rooms with everything I needed. The lounge/bar staff were very accommodating - overall a great experience.
Booked be one rate. No water on arrival as expected. Had to request. Shower gel bottle was almost empty. I had a 3 night stay booked. Again I had to request from reception staff. Room should be ready and prepared at check in. Friendly and helpful staff at reception.
Excellent stay, we had everything we needed at a good price. Thanks
Great location. Lovely hotel.
The price we paid for our stay was excellent and the service we received was amazing - such friendly staff. It would have been a 10 if there had been more storage options for clothes - we only had three hangers in our room and no drawer space. The breakfast was fine and maybe I missed the bit about it being continental as I may not have selected that option had I realised when booking. Small things but we did have a great stay. There were also some singers in the bar who were clearly in town for a competition - they entertained some people in the bar and were encouraged by other guests to sing but we were trying to enjoy a quiet end to our evening after midnight...the singing still went on for over an hour and we'd no choice but to take our drinks to our room.
Great location. Very clean room. Great bar. Let down by lack of breakfast foods. Not enough fruit .Eggs watery. Will use hotel again however will go out for breakfast. Plenty of choice around Hotel
Lovely and clean hotel. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the breakfast as we had a early departure. Only note would be to provide some toothpaste and a room bin. Also tried downloading the app and it did not work, my password ( changed about 6 times) was not recognised. After signing up all emails were sent in German, very annoying - I speak German, however I'm based in the UK
Extremely comfy bed and nice staff. Negative - online check in required identification information which was not required as the hotel is in my country of origin. I am not prepared to provide this for uk hotels & think the app/online check in should be updated to allow a not applicable option
friendly helpful staff, Clean and tidy. Pleasant ambiance
Excellent! Second time I have stayed and can’t fault.
Very comfortable 2 night stay
Excellent location and quality standards. Excellent service at the bar
The only thing I could really fault at your hotel was I found the bar/breakfast area very dark. Also, when the breakfast area was busy I didnt like the fact I had to eat my breakfast at a low coffee table rather than a dining table.
Overall a very good experience My only real criticism is that the water pressure on the showers (on 2nd floor is 6/10) There was a very big tour group (35/40+) in for breakfast at the same time I was but hey these things happen
Unfortunately we had no shower tray as we have had before for bottles etc in the shower, it looked like it had broken but had not been replaced
Strategically based in the centre of Manchester, access to most of the sights, clubs and bars. Commercially sensitive pricing without compromising on quality and cleanliness.
I've stayed here a number of times and it's always been great. This time I paid for two colleagues to stay too. After attending an event it was nice to come back and relax and chat quietly in the ambiance of the bar, open until the early hours, before getting a comfortable night's sleep. And the shower the next morning felt wonderful!!
Staff were extremely helpful and efficient.
Whenever I stay overnight in Manchester, I always book Motel One. Clean, lovely staff and an added bonus is that the bar is open till 2! Such good value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone and you may even be lucky enough to be allowed access to your room early.
Room was a bit on warm side - air con did not seem to be working - external noise from outside could be heard which I understand is out of your control so did not get much sleep during my stay. Would also be nice to have some cooked options for breakfast
Great budget option. Room are a little dark, and the bathroom does not have adequate steam extraction, but everything else was good.
Breakfast lounge not too comfy because of draft from main entrance door.
warm welcome on arrival. room was comfortable and clean, good location
Room 243 was particularly small and inward facing. It was nothing like any of the standard rooms i have stayed at before with Motel One. Certainly not big enough for 2 adults. We actually left a day earlier than planned as it was just ridiculously small. I am aware this brand is about compact rooms, but the room we were allocated was ridiculously small.
Good room, good breakfast, good and warm welcome. Really appreciated it and recommended.
From London to soft, beautiful, and sweet environments in Manchester, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to enjoy every single moment in this magnificent place. From my arrival to checking out the service was fantastic, staff were great fabulous specially Maria at the reception, she is an outstanding member of staff with highly respected service to client, polite approach and very helpful. Regina the lady that keep the place tidy and clean was amazing and very nice 👌🏼. I absolutely loved the breakfast menu. I will definitely come over again. Appreciate my stay and wish the service continues to be amazing 🤩!. Virginia 3/5/2026
Excellent stay at Motel One St Peter's Square Manchester. Great location and friendly staff. I enjoy the clean and well maintained rooms. Comfortable stay and eco touches that I appreciate. It is my home from home, every visit to Manchester. Will keep returning, month on month, year on year! Thank you Motel One!
Very well situated. Good hotel with a nice size room. Comfy too. Near the centre of the city, walking distance to bars, restaurants & right next to the tram
Really lovely room for money! Clean and well done!
Motel One always exceeds expectations. Great staff, great location.
Second visit at this MotelOne and very satisfied with the great service, location and value for the money. Team is helpful, breakfast is delicious and room is efficient. My only remark would be check on the quality of the mattress (mine felt really like it could use a replacement) and check on the water tank of the toilet as it seems to be leaking water (most likely just an adjustment to be done to save on water).
Brilliant stay as always. Great location, great staff. Clean room, well sized. Will always look to stay at one of the Manchester properties. Looking forward staying at the Piccadilly one in June.

Hotel Manchester St Peter's Square
Chesterfield furniture, imposing bookshelves and checked patterns abound in our third hotel in Manchester, our Motel One Manchester-St. Peter’s Square, which is bursting with quintessential British cosiness. So settle in and enjoy a cup of tea before you set out from our design hotel to explore the city! Our Motel One Manchester-St. Peter’s Square is the ideal starting point for exploring ‘Cottonopolis’, as Manchester is also known thanks to its history as the centre of the cotton industry. If you’re heading somewhere specific – to the Old Trafford football stadium to watch a match, for example – then you can catch the tram directly from the St. Peter’s Square tram stop. And our hotel not only has great transport connections: its central location makes it perfect for anyone who prefers serendipity to schedules, and simply wants to wander about and see what they find.
