Quiet, clean, comfy bed and central. Everything you want in a hotel for less than most.
Excellent stay
Good room friendly staff good price & location.
Fabulous hotel. Delightful, cheerful & helpful staff. Perfect location. Spotlessly clean. Couldn’t fault it. Many thanks.
Such a comfortable bed! Great service.
Excellent hotel and staff.
Small rooms but comfy beds, modern and clean and very helpful staff
Room was very small and felt expensive but was booked on the same day. Room 217 was noisy too, I was awoken numerous times in the night due to the thin doors / walls.
Reception staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. They kindly upgraded our room as it was my husbands birthday 👍. Lovely clean rooms, ours had floor to ceiling glass. Bar area was so nice and very cosy. Will definitely stay again 👍
Window had been left open so room was very cold upon arrival. Shower, even when turned up to hottest setting was only lukewarm.
Comfortable stay. Fabulous location
Hotel in an ideal location in the centre of Manchester. The hotel staff on reception was friendly and welcoming. Although we didn’t use the bar in the hotel,we were told that it was open until 2am which would be great for future visits and the bar area looked really nice. The room was comfortable and clean and perfect for the night. Slept really well.
Really enjoyed my stay and was looking forward to returning as this was a 2nd visit. The hotel is clean and comfortable, well located and good value. The rooms are not large but well equipped and nice decor. The staff are friendly and I would certainly consider Motel One in future, here and in other destinations.
Having stayed multiple times at the other branches of motel one in the city, my expectations of this stay were high. The location is fantastic, interiors lovely as per usual for this chain of hotel, rooms were smaller than other locations but none the less clean and very comfy beds! My only issue would be that upon checking out we stored our luggage behind reception so we could explore the city before travelling home. When we arrived back at the hotel to grab our luggage the staff member on reception just let us wander into the luggage hold room to collect our bags to which there was also another visitor in there collecting his bag. I thought the whole point of the staff labelling your bag and giving you a numbered ticket was to ensure your bags were securely stored and that the general public couldn’t get access to your bag. Luckily our bags were fine but this raises the question of how secure your luggage is when storing. Overall a lovely stay, but I will be more aware in future about leaving my bags in the luggage hold.
Great hotel. , was a perfect location for our works conference. Maria on reception was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble !
Great location, good breakfast, really comfy beds. All good
Excellent hotel.
Excellent hotel, perfect location and great customer service. However, my one complaint is the paper cups in the room for tea/coffee. Whilst I appreciate that they are recyclable, I don’t want a paper cup whilst I’m in a hotel, I want a proper mug please!!!
Reception and bar staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly
Clean, comfortable hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent. Only criticism is that the duvet was too thin. It would have been good to have an extra blanket as I was quite cold.
Reception staff very welcoming and friendly, check in was nice and easy. Room & bathroom were to a high standard, comfortable bed and decent facilities. Would prefer a cooked breakfast option and bottles of water in the room instead of a voucher for water in the bar.
Small rooms but good. Staff very nice too. Great location. Will highly recommend it
Really nice balance between budget and boutique. Nice touches everywhere. Location great and room really cosy and comfortable. Bar/breakfast area really quirky and different. Will definitely stay again when I’m in the area
The room was comfortable, perfectly clean and had a great view. The staff were friendly and helpful.
There was no hairdryer on the room
Nice room quiet even though it’s in central Manchester
Great location, lovely staff and super clean.
Excellent experience, everything perfect, very nice hospitality Thank you
My home away from home in Manchester (& elsewhere). All I need, done so well. Friendly staff, great location, quiet rooms, decent price.
Fantastic hotel, really friendly staff. Let me order in a takeaway since I was late arriving back from the theatre. Cosy bar, open till late.
Great location, and comfortable price range. Room was amazing - all facilities were excellent. Only thing I’d say is the TV wasn’t a smart tv, couldn’t connect any apps to it or screencast.
Lovely hotel, in perfect location for my work. Clean, tidy and warm.
Room a bit tight on space and I couldn't find instructions on air conditioning. But still a high mark
Clean room friendly staff central and right on the tram line
- Such a nice hotel. - Staff are very friendly and welcoming. - Our room was so nice and the city view was so worth it as we were so lucky. - Bed were very comfy. I cannot fault anything. Hoping to stay again!
Only knocked off points because the air con/heating wasn’t working on the day it snowed. Check in was good from two of the staff (new staff member and one showing her the ropes)-the other two ignored me completely. Got my water! This never happened at the hotel in Piccadilly. Bed and linens comfortable. Nice quiet room as requested. Very clean. Check out fine.
Excellent location in city centre. Quiet and omfortable room and excellent facilities. Lovely reception staff
Great location, friendly staff and plentiful breakfast. Bar a little short on choice and expertise
Clean hotel with friendly staff
Stylish hotel with a relaxed vibe. Excellent staff and good value for money. Great location.
Everything was great except when we returned to the hotel the bar was closed until 9pm.
I had been recommended Motel One by a work colleague. I was very impressed with the design, lay out and cleanliness of the hotel. We stayed in St Peter's Square and it was a brilliant location with great transport links. The rooms are a comfortable size and has everything you need for your stay. Breakfast offered a lot of variety and was delicious. I liked the 12 midday checkout too, meant I didn't need to rush. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were at a brilliant price too. I would definitely recommend and stay again.
Fantastic location making it seamless to travel to and from the airport . Staff were very pleasant and professional . The room was very clean and it was cleaned and refreshed every day
Fantastic hotel very clean and in a great location, The reception staff are the best I have come Across, Got there early just to drop bag off at 12.30 had a coffee in the bar .. Great weekend … Will be back 😉
It's very hard to find and fault with this modern hotel, a perfect central location. Booking was easy, the price ideal, the location central, reception was quick and friendly, the bar area looked attractive, lifts were quiet and the room modern, clean, nicely decorated with easy to understand aircon and the bed was very comfortable. I requested a quiet room which was away from the lifts towards the rear of the building - unfortunately this meant the view from the 2nd floor wasn't that interesting. A pleasant and quiet sleep with very little outside noise and no traffic or tram noise at all. Next time and there will be a next time, I'll try for a higher floor. One other tiny niggle - the shower pressure was just off how I like it.
Nice hotel, good price & breakfast had a great choice for continental option. Bar drinks expensive £15 for a double was a shocker.. pair of dirty socks still in room but the overall experience was good.
The hotel is very clean and well looked after by all staff For me I love a hotel with draft lager in bar and nice food We always stay in the hotel bars at night but unfortunately this wasn’t possible for us But again very clean just not for me shame
Good, central location, but still nice and quiet. Well appointed room, very clean. Comfortable bed. My only negative comment is that there was a bright green LED light just above floor level by the door of the room, which didn't seem to serve any purpose but was so bright that it made it hard to sleep. I had to prop the lid of my suitcase up in front of the light to cover it.
Nice design hotel Good location
Comfortable, friendly, and brilliant value for money! Will definitely stay again.

And our hotel not only has great transport connections: its central location makes it perfect for anyone who prefers serendipity to schedules, and simply wants to wander about and see what they find.
