Great location and everything clean and smart in the room. Friendly approachable at reception - much appreciated the use of an umbrella on a very rainy Sunday in Manchester. Heating was efficient and most welcome and warming. Would recommend

Motel One is great value and St Peter's Square is a great location. We visited the Bridgewater Hall, and walked into town very easily. Staff were friendly and helpful and lounge areas are the usual comfy and quirky style. Only thing to mention, it's great that we can leave our bags but at booking out but there was only one staff member who tried to do it all but to save people waiting we were encouraged to get our own bags. But doesn't put me off already booking for return journey in December!
Very helpful staff on reception, clean room and great comfortable bar area. Also perfectly located for the tram, so easy access to the Co-op events. Would stay again.
Great central location
Great location near Oxford Road. Nice clean hotel. I loved the room ‘one with a view’. Comfortable bed, heating you control yourself. Good size tv you can Bluetooth music to. Nice shower room
i was disappointed that there was no drinking glass, no cup for hot drinks ( a paper cup was provided which leaked when i used it to make coffee) and no spoon in the room. This is very poor for a decent hotel.
We had an excellent stay at Motel One St Peter’s Square for our anniversary. The hotel was super clean and had a really relaxed, welcoming vibe. The staff were all incredibly polite and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. A special mention to Pablo who checked us in — friendly, professional, and a great first impression. Would definitely recommend and happily return !!

Thermostat in the room didn't work but otherwise happy with my stay. Room was spacious and clean. Great soundproofing, couldn't hear a thing outside despite being in the busy centre. Great staff service and hotel bar.
Motel 1 is perfect for a short stay. Great location with its own welcoming bar area. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Our one night week day stay was great value.
I have stayed here a few times because it is great value for money; clean and comfortable room, central location, friendly staff. This time however, my stay was slightly marred by a few small things. I paid £18 more than my previous stay 2 weeks earlier (weekday rather than a Sunday) but my room was a lot smaller(cramped even) with an unnecessary table blocking a full length mirror. The narrow mirror itself was bizarrely positioned so close to the edge of the wall that it meant my arm had little room to manoeuvre when drying my hair as the door was in my way. The end of the bed was so near to the wall that a large person would struggle to get around it. There was only one hangar for my clothes. Finally, an issue with my details the following morning meant I waited almost 10 mins for my invoice to be printed. If this had been my first stay, I would probably not stay again. However, having stayed 4 or 5 times at this hotel, I know this latest experience is unusual. The staff are friendly and helpful (I was given a quiet room on request), bathrooms and rooms immaculately clean and beds very comfortable. The lounge is particularly well decorated and furnished in a relaxed and cosy style. I don't eat breakfast so am unable to comment on this aspect.

Brilliant value for money
Overall I had a great experience, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! The only downside is that the toilets in the lounge area are locked with key cards, this meant that after checking out we were unable to use this bathroom even after paying for drinks.
Very pleaseantly surprised by the whole atmosphere and friendly staff. Impressed with cleaniness and modern feeling. Only critics for my short stay would be that there was no hand soap available in the washroom, and the pillows are too soft in my honest opinion. Lastly I did have to ask regarding my free bottle of water rather than being reminded/given it during my check-in.

Easy and quick check in. Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable and well equipped double room. Easy to control air conditioning, we would have liked to be able to open the window more than a tiny crack however I understand due to the height of the room 6th floor why this is not possible.
Really lovely staff and really nice and clean room. Breakfast was good but no hot chocolate in the machine so I just got hot milk instead lol ahah and it ran out of milk a couple times so coffee options were limited too. Really nice to check out at 3pm. Water pressure in shower wasn’t the best but that was no bother. Great location. Would definitely stay again.
The bar staff have always been helpful and happy to help. The receptionists are always with a smile and understanding
I’m writing to formally complain about what was an entirely unacceptable experience from arrival through to check-in. I had booked two rooms for two travellers via email with Yana. I was clear that we would both be arriving late, and I provided card details through your payment link to cover the late arrival. I reasonably assumed this secured both rooms. On arrival, my colleague’s room had been cancelled. After some delay, another room was found and she was checked in, but the situation was stressful and completely avoidable given the prior correspondence. I was then unable to check in myself. After waiting around 10 minutes, another room was allocated and the number written on the key card. When I went to the room, the key did not work. I returned to reception and was told the card had been programmed correctly, and was escorted back to the room — only for the receptionist to then realise he had written the room number incorrectly. We then went to what was said to be the correct room. On opening the door, we found the room clearly occupied, with clothes on the bed and floor. We left immediately. This was extremely embarrassing and a serious failure in basic room control. At that point, I was offered a drink at the bar while another room was found. Eventually, an unoccupied room (a slight upgrade) was allocated. However, the disruption continued. Around five minutes later, the receptionist knocked on my door again, concerned that I had three rooms reserved — clearly further confusion arising from the original booking, despite me having confirmed the details in advance. In total, it took close to an hour from arrival before I was finally able to close my door and settle. This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a complete breakdown in your booking and front desk processes, from the initial cancellation through to room allocation and system control. The experience was stressful, disorganised, and unacceptable. I would like a clear explanation of how this situation arose, and what you intend to do to address it.
Great position in the city, all staff I encountered were incredibly friendly, helpful and happy to help. The room was lovely, very clean, plenty of space for luggage and cloths and the bathroom was very clean, although small very well presented. The shower head was a little close to the wall so difficult to get fully under but a small issue overall.
Yet another amazing stay. Staff are attentive and helpful as always, and the rooms are spotless as always.

Great stay as usual. Friendly staff, the young lady on Breakfast Saturday morning in particular was extremely bright and bubbly, friendly and attentive, making for a good start to the day. The inly slight issue I had was that the water pressure in the shower (Room 844) was quite low and did not get very hot at all. Otherwise, the usual great Motel One stay.

Zeer gastvrij ontvangen en dat is het hele verblijf zo gebleven! Prachtige kamer en mooie lobby waar je heerlijk kunt zitten (werken). Heerlijk ontbijt.
Zeer fijne ontvangst (ondanks het feit dat we iets te vroeg waren, konden we onze bagage achterlaten en later inchecken wanneer de kamers vrij waren). Zeer vriendelijke staff aan het onthaal en in de bar !

Prima hotel op een mooie plek in het centrum. Uitstekende bar en vriendelijk personeel. De kamer was niet heel groot, maar dat wisten wij van te voren.
Ik was vroeger dan voorzien aangekomen in het hotel en gelukkig was er al een kamer klaar voor mij, dankzij het online inchecken. De medewerkster aan het onthaal was heel klantvriendelijk en spontaan. Maar ook ieder andere medewerker was heel attent! Locatie is TOP. Het hotel ligt heel centraal. Ik blijf fan van Motel1One!

Prima locatie in het centrum van manchester, snelle incheck, Mooi ingerichte kamer, ondanks vriendelijke prijs voelde het als een luxe hotel. Heel goed geslapen op het comfortabele bed. Fijn dat het raam open kan, hou niet van geairconditioneerde kamers waarbij raam niet open kan. Papieren bekers voor thee wat minder maar begrijp dat ik zo'n groot hotel het ook wel makkelijk is. Zou zeker nog een keer overwegen om in deze keten een overnachting te boeken.

Chesterfield meubels, indrukwekkende boekenplanken en geruite dessins stralen Britse gezelligheid uit in ons derde hotel in Manchester, Motel One Manchester-St Peter's Square. Loop dus gewoon binnen voor een kopje thee, voordat je vanuit ons designhotel op ontdekkingstocht in de stad gaat. Ons Motel One Manchester-St. Peter's Square is het ideale uitgangspunt om Cottonopolis, zoals Manchester vanwege zijn verleden als centrum van de katoenindustrie ook wel wordt genoemd, te gaan verkennen. Als je heel specifieke plannen hebt en een stukje moet rijden, bijvoorbeeld naar het Old Trafford voetbalstadion voor een wedstrijd, dan kun je de tram meteen bij de halte op St. Peter's Square nemen. Ons Motel One is niet alleen qua openbaar vervoer ideaal gelegen, maar dankzij de centrale ligging is het bovendien bij uitstek geschikt voor iedereen die graag zonder plannen en spontaan zijn neus achterna wil gaan. In de directe omgeving van ons betaalbare hotel is nog meer te doen. Tal van hoogtepunten die de stad te bieden heeft, zijn te voet in slechts een paar minuten te bereiken: het Palace Theatre, de Manchester Art Gallery, de St. Mary's Church, het Science & Industry Museum. Alles dus, wat het hart van kunst- en cultuurliefhebbers begeert. Vooral boekenwurmen en architectuurliefhebbers komen nabij ons hotel aan hun trekken. Wat dacht je van een bezoekje aan de Portico Library, de John Rylands Library, de Central Library of gewoon aan alle drie? Ze liggen niet alleen op loopafstand, maar zijn ook zowel van buiten als van binnen het bekijken meer dan waard.
Ook zakenreizigers hebben het met ons gunstig geprijsde hotel in Manchester goed getroffen. De luchthaven kan snel en zonder overstappen met het openbaar vervoer bereikt worden. In ons designhotel zelf bieden wij je handige in- en uitchecktijden en gratis wifi aan, zodat je tijdens je verblijf efficiënt kunt werken en, ondanks eventuele deadlines, toch nog kunt ontspannen. Het Manchester Central Convention Complex met zijn conferenties, beurzen en evenementen is binnen vijf minuten te voet bereikbaar. Want ons betaalbare designhotel beschikt niet alleen over moderne kamers met heerlijke boxspringbedden, maar er staat ook elke ochtend een uitgebreid ontbijt klaar met een gevarieerd aanbod aan regionale, vegetarische en veganistische specialiteiten.
En 's avonds, voordat je je boxspringbed opzoekt, is het de moeite waard om nog even onze lounge met bar te bezoeken. Hier vind je snacks (zoals heerlijke toasts) en uiteraard ook drankjes (zoals eersteklas gin tonics) voor een ander soort ‘toast’. Op Manchester dus!
