Comfy room, clean, good shower and good location. Only interacted with a couple of staff but seemed friendly.
Fabulous hotel, Exceptionally clean, would highly recommend.
Nice room with confy beds in the middle of Manchester. Easy to check in and apreciated late check out. Nice lobby to hang out.
Brilliant location, cool European interior design and feel. Lovely breakfast!
Nice enough hotel. The reception area and bar are all very nice and clean. Check in and out was easy. No parking so i stayed at a nearby QPark for 2 days which added £54 to my bill. Also, the rooms whilst comfortable enough lack a decent desk and mirror for putting on makeup. There are no shelves to speak of to put your clothes on, and the 'wardrobe' is simply coat hangars on a post sticking from the wall. So most of my things remained in the suitcase. Quite an expensive hotel, although Manchester central so expected.
Beautifully clean, very comfortable bed and pillows.
Great value, location and friendly staff!
We’ve used that particular Motel One several times. Central, convenient with friendly and helpful staff. Does exactly what It says on the tin.
Room was clean and tidy and a nice size room. Bathroom clean and decent shower. The safe wasn’t working in the room.
Amazing location, comfy bed and great shower.
perfect location great room
Great location for St Peter’s square area and the hotel was comfortable and relaxed.
Wonderful stay
Great location, comfortable bed, pleasant lounge, loads of breakfast options.
an ironing board is a definite must! I managed to borrow an iron from the reception but they didn't have an ironing board. Otherwise couldn't fault the room, nice and quiet, comfy bed and the downstairs bar area was welcoming.
The lobby and bar/breakfast area is amazing, really relaxing and chilled out. The corridors outside the rooms are a little bit stark but dont let that put you off. The rooms are snug but have everything you need including a comfortable bed and lots of pillows.
Fantastic location in the heart of Manchester. Lovely bar area. Clean and tidy rooms. Really liked the choice of breakfast in a relaxed environment. All continental, but I prefer that.
We asked multiple times for the room to be cleaned as we had different people staying in the room each night, cleaning was not completed
I was looking for something that was reasonable in price for a one night stay when meeting up with friends in Manchester. I wanted to avoid the usual mainstream more budget orientated offerings as I find them uncomfortable despite what some adverts would have you believe and have often found them to be less than clean. After a short search I found Motel One. I’d never heard of them before and the name did initially make me think it would be at the lower end of comfort or modernness. How wrong was I. A quick flick through the pictures and I was sold. The unique and inviting lobby and lounge areas looked seriously swanky and comfortable. The rooms all looked fresh, bright and modern. But we all know how good marketing departments (and estate agents) can be at presenting hotel rooms (and homes) for that matter, right? They can make rooms look large, spacious, bright and appealing, even when what you actually get in reality is a small, cramped, grubby and tried room with poor finishing, signs of poor maintenance and a generally far worse experience than you’ve been sold by the pictures. We’ll let me tell you, there was none of this going on here. What I’d seen in the pictures, was exactly what I got and it made it such a lovely stay, I will certainly be actively seeking out the brand and their Sister brand, Cloud One for future stays. The location was just a few minutes walk from Deansgate which was really handy. The hotel is tucked back from the Main street and tramline, so it immediately tells you there will be minimal traffic noise. There was none that you could hear from the room. Walking into the entrance lobby, there was a very pleasant view through a comfortable, well-appointed and inviting lounge area, with a bright and colourful bar at the rear. Off to the right was the more traditional reception desk, and within a few seconds I was greeted by a really cheerful member of staff. I’d checked in online and also the prices of getting my room key card was swift and effortless. I was also handed a voucher for a free bottle of water for my stay, which was easily exchanged at the bar for a large glass bottle of the life-giving liquid. No fridge in the room to keep it cold, but I quickly decanted it into my refillable bottle which keeps it cold for 24 hrs if needed. The member of staff at the bar was equally as pleasant and cheerful as the receptionist by the way. Heading up to my room, I found the corridors to be bright, but perhaps a bit less inspiring than the lounge/lobby area. A mixed shade of white, black and grey, but again, very crisp and clean in appearance. Opening the door to my room (230) on the second floor revealed a very bright, clean and inviting space. Off to the left on entry is the all-in-one bathroom. This contained the lavatory, shower and hand basin all finished in bright white and black. Towels were lovely and soft and everything was spotlessly clean. The only minor down point I did experience in here was the shower tray, which slopes slightly on all sides to the drain in the centre which did make me feel a little off balance when showering. The bed was a good size, crisply presented in crease-free white bed linen, and wow, was this comfortable. The mattress was amazingly soft and inviting yet with good support for the spine, hips and shoulders; the pillows were like little clouds, but without your head feeling like it’s gone straight through to the mattress. There is a digital safe to one side of the bed which was large enough for my laptop and several other items. Wardrobe/hanging space is open, but more than sufficient for stays. The desk was situated near the window and accompanied by a very comfortable leather seat. I wasn’t planning on doing any work on this trip, but it was easy to see this would be a nice little space to do so. The view from the window of my room may could have been nicer, but in a city centre, there’s not too much you can do about this. I note of course that you can pay a small premium for a better view, but overall this didn’t bother me as I was only in town for one night. By far the most annoying thing about any hotel stay, I find to be noise from other rooms, corridors and of course from outside. However, I can honestly say, I did not hear a single sound from any of these areas throughout my stay. Breakfast is served in the lounge area, continental buffet style. There was a great selection of pastries, charcuterie and cereals, juices and hot drinks on offer. The granola and yoghurt with some dried date topping was a delight for my early morning energiser, and the cappuccino was spot on. I left feeling well-rested, energised and unusually, eager to stay again. This truly was a great stay and a place I would highly recommend. Well done Motel One.
Lovely staff, beautifully designed lobby and room. Unfortunately the towels were not very clean. The bath mat provided on the first day had a used plaster stuck to it. No hot breakfast.
Location, comfort and great service bang in the city centre. Always great value for money.
The reception staff were so helpful and accommodating. The bar area had a great atmosphere, and was full of people enjoying their evening. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I would definitely recommend Motel One
There were few things that bothered: when you enter the room, the TV is automatically turned on. Better if it would stay off. The other thing was that the devices couldn’t connect to the operator’s internet network while in the room. But the same happened inside other buildings as well so I guess nothing you could impact.
The room was perfectly comfortable but very basic for the price. I paid more than the Premier Inn but the level of facilities was about the same. The breakfast selection was poor - no cooked offering and only and a basic continental. Overall I do not feel it was worth the money
Very impressed! Room was spotless and shower, quality of bed and linen, tea/coffee, towels, quietness inside room etc all exceeded what I expected for the price. Loved the bar area, decor made it look really cosy and welcoming. Also liked the fact bar remained open until 2am which is great when returning from a gig.
Booked for me by a colleague, Motel One was a great find. Good price for a comfortable room and.decent breakfast. Way finding in the hotel, signs etc could be better. And having lifts opposite rooms seems a bit unfair to those who are allocated them from a noise and disruption perspective. Despite showing my booking to the Reception staff, it took far longer than it needed to check me in.
Room smallish but very comfortable.Staff friendly and helpful, good location all at a reasonable price
Initially I booked another hotel because your prices for Saturday night are not viable. I would definitely stay again but please don't play jokes with pricing. I see in your calendar the price for night may vary 5 times (55-280GBP), that's insane.
Excellent friendly staff, clean comfy room
I have stayed in Motel Ones in Germany. Manchester was no exception. Great location, friendly staff. Modern rooms. Do I need to say more!
Lovely comfortable rooms and beds.
Hotel was lovely, staff were really nice and helpful and room was nice and clean with a cosy bed Only issue was the bathroom door didn’t close
Excellent stay. Staff friendly and courteous both on reception and bar. Room was comfortable and had veterans needed. Bar was perfect.
Yeah it was fine. Friendly staff, comfortable.good location. Breakfast was nice
The Motel One is in a great position just seconds from St Peters Tram stop and easy to see. The staff are super friendly. The lobby is very stylish and cosy with lots of comfy chairs and nooks. The breakfast was very good for cold meats, boiled eggs and pastries and cereals/fruit etfc. Would have been great to have a mini fridge or a vending machine to buy cold drinks in summer. Rooms are small but well designed with hanging spaces and desk. It was a really great place to stay.
Very welcoming at Reception and bar staff but day and night. The room fresh and clean.
The hood in the toilet is very dusty. It feels like it hasn't been cleaned since it was opened
Great hotel at affordable prices. Rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. Mila and Dhemba at the reception are always welcoming upon the check in, and accommodate room preferences wherever possible.
pre booked check in so straight through room was nicely cooled with aircon and also right in the city center but super quiet room and slept soundly
The hotel was fabulously decorated and with the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! The only thing to let the room down was the lack of proper coffee making facilities - something the standard elsewhere implies should be provided. The staff were also really good, and extras like the later checkout time of midday, along with the ability to leave luggage free of charge, just adds to the brilliance. Finally, as my eye sight is beginning to change, having a magnifying mirror in the bathroom was fantastic. I wish there were Motel Ones everywhere we go!
Good hotel with friendly staff and nice bar/reception area. Pleasant room with lovely shower and comfortable bed. Great location.
As always, a very comfortable place to stay. Had a great night's sleep after our wonderful experience of Come Fall In Love musical.
It does what it says on the tin. Very reasonably priced for what you get. They have hotelling down to a fine art and provide just the right amount of what you need whilst managing their costs to deliver a long term sustainable business. I’ll stay here again. The one thing I don’t like…the carpets, the design makes it feel like it would hide dirt. Unfortunately I didn’t bring along a pair of slippers which I’ll ensure I do on my next visit.
Great location. Nextcto st peters tram stop. Close to Oxford Road train station. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great location, good size room, very comfortable. Nice breakfast. Could perhaps provide non-dairy alternative to milk for tea/coffee in the room, but I usually buy my own anyway.
Comfortable stay in St Peter’s Square. Everything needed was provided….. hot shower…. toiletries…. cleanliness of room. A few disappointments……the first was the size of room. For two people it was claustrophobic…. the tv screen on the wall was too close to view causing eye strain & the end of the bed only one person at a time can walk around the room. Thankfully a lovely member of staff Pablo was kind enough to upgrade us to slightly bigger room as we were staying for 8 days! Lastly my final concern was regarding telephone. Possibly the hotel cannot provide telephone services to each room but to have a link to a member of staff at reception may be important. Very isolating for one individual staying at the hotel on business in a room with no one in the corridor? Only if it was a handset with a switch to main desk at reception? Might be worth considering. All in all a pleasant stay with lovely staff always ready with a smile. Thank you & yes we will stay again!
This was an excellent base for an overnight trip to Manchester. The room was clean, comfortable and on a hot night, the air-conditioning was superb!
Clean, comfortable and a great location. Very friendly staff. Nice bar area, decent sized room and bathroom. Enough accessible plug sockets and a good magnifying mirror in the bathroom were welcome. Excellent value for money
Great location conveniently located, friendly staff, very clean and nice rooms, the vivarium was also nice and relaxed and friendly staff.
Dobry hotel, przyjazny
