The hotel is very well decorated and feels very homely, and is located in a perfect spot with all the important sites of Vienna at a couple meters' distance. Breakfasts were amazing, specially the sausages and the Kaiserschmarrn! The only thing I would like to improve is the AC of the rooms and the WiFi. The AC seemed to be inactive in the middle of the night and the Wifi is poor.
I have been many times to Motel One Staatsoper but this is my fist visit since its “upgrade” to One Cloud. Unfortunately the only obvious change was on the bill, as I have noticed a significant increase in the daily rate. Very bad experience on first night. After checking in (after 8:30 and being for many hours in airport/ plane) I went to ha live a shower and realised there was no shower gel in the room. I went to the reception to ask for one but the guy in duty told me bluntly that there was no shower gel in the hotel and there was nothing he could do about it, saying this was due to the “upgrade” to One Cloud. He even suggested I could buy shower gel next day from a nearby DM store! I am a seasoned traveller but have never experienced such behaviour before! Thank God I spoke to the supervisor in charge next morning and she was very kind and helpful, sorting everything out. In addition, all in all, I find that the so called upgrade is not worth the significant increase in the hotel’s nightly rates.
Perfect for us (2 retirees). Very quiet, comfortable beds, spotless, excellent internet, great breakfast, good toiletries (soap, shampoo, body lotion -- but please... without scent?). Friendly and helpful staff. Location central to music (opera and symphony), museums (Albertine, Leopold, KHM, etc), public transport (1 block from U and Strassenbahn). And yes, the rooms are small and the furnishings basic -- but they provide everything we actually needed and did so at a superb price. Ps. For decades, we've been reviewing hotels we stayed at for business and/or pleasure all over the world. This is the most positive review we have every written for any of them. By far. Overall it was pretty good. But I had two issues and I was not the only one (one of my colleagues complained about the first one too): the room smell was unpleasant, something like wet and dampness AND the heating from the AC wasn't working (I spent 3 nights - the first evening I went out in the city for a walk and I left the window partially open (by the way - opening the window was so hard and difficult!); when I came back - it was pretty cold and I tried to heat up a bit the room - nothing happened, just normal (cold) air was coming. I know that the people in Austria (and in other germanic countries) don't enjoy to live @ 25-28 degrees Celsius as others might do but this is a hotel and by definition there are a lot of different cultures and mentalities involved. For me it was almost fine but sometimes I felt quite cold, especially in the evening, when I was dead tired.
I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very welcoming and professional.
pro: bed and pillows comfortable. nice that there was a window in the room that you could open completely additionally to aircon. friendly & helpful staff. many tv channels in different languages. right next to metro station - good connection and supermarkets nearby good check-in and check-out times sufficient and big lifts, so you don't have to wait a long time to use the lifts 24/7 bar open and staff available for help and questions nice design con: no minibar no iron in the room, you had to go and borrow one you need to press the button on the hairdryer to dry your hair, it's annoying no shoe horn or show cleaning set / station not enough hangers/room to unpack water pressure very low no kettle/welcome tray to have a coffee or tea inside the room no welcoming water bottle inside the room no bin inside the room, just in the bathroom bathroom wasn't completely clean - still a lot of hair from previous guests on the walls and door breakfast would be great until 11.30 no balconies inside rooms outside area closes at 23.00h, so you need to stand on the street to have a cigarette. no rooftop or other area to go to. no vending machines or small shop
Very nice Hotel in a great location. Very friendly staff everywhere. Everything was very clean. The matrass could have been a bit softer but this is only my personal taste.
The location makes it difficult to access by car. The long walk carrying heavy luggage was BRUTAL. Since I'd been traveling for many days I needed to do laundry. The hotel has no facility to wash clothes OR have adequate plans to handle the need for rapid turnaround of laundry. Although, the customers data was collected during the reservation process, it had to be redone on the sign-in sheet. The process was time consuming and redundant. The service at the downstairs bar was slow because the desk agent had to do double duty. Bartending and front desk clerk are incompatible.
The venue was very close to the ACV / VIC, so a leisurely 10-min walk back after a gruelling 10-12 hours. The ambience was good and quiet. The staff was super helpful, especially Sherif at the reception, who directed me to the VAB3 bus stop. At this stop, you can take the VAB3 direct bus to the airport. The hotel and surroundings felt safe, which is important as a single woman travelling alone. I had breakfast at the hotel one morning, but felt it was a bit overpriced for the options; there are good cafes and eateries around.
Room basic. Staff at reception rude and I unhelpful. Breakfast staff were nice,but the breakfast lacks options. Great location though. Room was not clean during stay,just change of towels and bed made.
Very convenient location, just few tram or metro stops from the city center. Excellent connection with the airport. Next to the train station, but there is no noise. Comfortable room, good breakfast

Nice staff at front desk - we originally booked for 3 nights but it was such a good location we extended for 5 nights. Nice beds, shower, view and clean and quiet. Elevators are also top notch. Good value for money.
great welcome, professional check in and out. Delicious breakfast, a bit crowded. Great location close to Viennna conference center / Messen. A bottke of water in the room would have been nice.

Beautiful hotel, ideally situated in Central Vienna. Comfortable, clean and quiet room with excellent facilities. However, reception staff mainly unfriendly. Arrived for 15.00 check in and although room not ready we were not given a likely time when it would be. No “please have a seat over there and we’ll let you know”. Robert particularly sullen on return to the desk to be told still not ready. Large shower towels, used and then removed by cleaning staff, not replaced for the following day. Had to go to reception to report this. The food choices at breakfast are excellent and well cooked/prepared. However, the serving area and available comfortable seating far too small for the numbers in a hotel of this size. Much jostling! Rethink the layout?

My stay at the Motel One Wien-Hauptbahnhof was excellent. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, and I hope to return soon. The room is fantastic, beautifully decorated, very spacious, and spotlessly clean. The location is very convenient, with several public transport options nearby, and the breakfast is very good and offers a wide variety of choices. The staff is very friendly.
Excellent property with efficient staff and a high standard of public area facilities and a good standard of breakfast. The seating in the public areas is a little bit of style over substance as they look great but are somewhat uncomfortable and not easy to move. rooms are on the small side and rather too dark in decor and would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities.

Rooms very clean, Breakfast Room overcrowded. I cancelled breakfast for 7 May, but was told that it could not be refunded - why not? Staff seemed not sure what to do. It was refunded before when I was invited by friends.

Im pretty sure you have bed bugs, stayed at room 2.70 .. you gotta wash at higher temperatures and use pesticide. I don’t think will stay again there unless you fix that.

When I first arrived, I noticed that there was no fridge in the room to keep my food. However, I really appreciated the lemon water at the reception and the lemon sweets, which made up for it. Overall, I had a lovely experience at Motel One.

Doskonała lokalizacja, świetnie skomunikowany przez bliskość do pociągu, metra i tramwajów. Czysty, nowy hotel. Ładne pokoje (czekały już na nas mimo, że byliśmy wcześniej). Dobre śniadania (można by tylko dołożyć coś na ciepło w bemarach). Miła obsługa. Bardzo dobry stosunek ceny do jakości. Na pewno mógłbym śmiało go polecić innym lub samemu go wybrać przy następnym pobycie w Wiedniu.

Dobry wybór w rozsądnych pieniądzach, pobyt w hotelu przebiegł bezproblemowo, doskonała lokalizacja wzmocniła pozytywne wrażenia.

Dziekujemy za wspaniały pobyt w Wiedniu. Odwiedziliśmy wasz hotel gdzie Katia zajeła sie nami i naszymi wnuczkami z wielką życzliwością. Pokoje otrzymaliśmy tak jak sobie życzyliśmy obok siebie a cały personel był bardzo pomocny. Swietna lokalizacja.
Jak zwykle prawie wszystko OK, ale nie działał internet, i to jest problemem - chyba tylko w pokoju, gdzie mieszkaliśmy !

Hotel oceniam bardzo dobrze. Można by było lepiej zorganizować przestrzeń podczas śniadań - za każdym razem mam problem aby znaleźć na przykład sztućce czy masło lub soki . Ustawienie naczyń , jedzenia i napojów jest nieoczywiste .
Jeżeli jest duże obłożenie hotelu jest problem z miejscem, aby zjeść śniadanie, są kolejki, tłok i brak miejsca.
