The hotel is very well maintained, clean and well resourced. The staff are the best part, very polite, caring and clearly well trained x
We stayed in a basic double room which was spotlessly clean and contained everything you could need for an overnight trip. The staff were friendly and efficient and couldn’t do enough to help. The free WiFi was also a bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Always a good stay at Motel One. Very friendly reception staff, bar staff and rooms always spotless. Never stay anywhere else in Manchester.
Really nice welcome when I arrived, the room was exactly as I expected and very, very clean. Nicely run hotel and a great breakfast as usual.
Alles was prima
It was a little more basic/budget than i expected. The bar area etc was lovely and very classy but I found the rooms a bit dated, with artex walls and no ironing board or anything. And when we did ask reception for one it was like something from the 1970s. I would have expected a little better for the money.
We had a great stay at Motel 1 – the staff were extremely friendly, our room was very clean and surprisingly big. Considering its proximity to Manchester Picadilly train station, our stay was exceptional value for money. I highly recommend a stay at Motel 1.
Lovely hotel. Great sweets.
wonderful location, clean room, and nice staff
Nice bar downstairs, helpful reception staff and appreciated reception being 24 hrs. Lifts worked well and didn't have to wait, comfortable bed and good shower, room very clean. So close to picadilly station too!
The hotel was beautiful. I was a bit of a pain and asked to change rooms twice. As I don't sleep well so ended upgrading to the room with a view. Staff were really good.
Brilliant facilities, exactly where we needed to be. Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Bar staff were a little grumpy but came round in the end. A great hotel and location. Would absolutely recommend!
Lovely young woman on check in. Room fine - as expected and had all I needed. Like proximity to station. Bar staff very polite and friendly and charges average. Only missing a point for three men on reception who spoke to me like I was a bit of an idiot when I had to come back down to tell them card key hadn’t worked. One in particular but don’t know name. Loses points for not allowing me to check in online as it requires a passport or identity card which I don’t need.
Quiet, comfortable, great value for money
Excellent as always and fantastic value .
Great hotel, nice layout, feels really spacious in the lobby & bar. Friendly staff & nice easy check in. Room was nice & clean, bed very comfy.
Warm welcome and room clean and modern
Overall good value for money. The hotel is very conveniently located for Manchester Piccadilly Station and also a remarkably quiet in terms of disturbance from outside noise for a city centre hotel. The room was basic and fairly compact but had everything needed for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was also a nice walk-in with a decent amount of space and water pressure. The breakfast was OK but no better than that. Overall very good value for money and a good option for a one night stay.
Hotel is well-maintained and conveniently sited, with friendly and helpful staff.
Jack at the the front desk is pure class.
Only thing missing is a fridge
I had requested a higher floor but I know it obviously can’t be guaranteed. And I of course did not get one instead I was put above the pub on a bank holiday weekend and had blaring music until at least 2am, to which it just quietened a decibel or two until the revellers left. Why not close your windows you may ask? Well it was a heat wave and the aircon isn’t the most effective. Also it dries the air like no tomorrow. Not a fan of the paper cups in rooms, the seal on the seams eventually erodes and they begin leaking subtly to which I only noticed when my room was covered in sticky circles. I do like the hotel and its location but perhaps I’ll have to pay for the room with a view to guarantee a high floor next time.
We always choose Motel One in Manchester, it’s an excellent location for us close to Piccadilly Station and everything is immaculate
Great location. Room was clean and fresh with comfortable big bed and walk in shower. Spotlessly clean. The staff were really friendly.
Comfortable stay at city centre hotel with convenient location. Nice welcome at reception. The basic room was fine but it would be better with bedside tables, somewhere to put a drink overnight. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable, it was clean, good towels, great value compared to other similar level hotels.
The staff were exceptional. Very helpful at times. The room was small, but well provided for, with a fantastic bed. The bathroom was also excellent.
This is the third time I have stayed. Great service convenient for trains and downtown. Do not like the paper coffee cups.
Very nice modern hotel, staff are excellent. Happily stay there again. Very convenient for train station and centre of town.
Outstanding
Lovely hotel next to the station. The room was great & the vibe was right
Friendly staff and excellent accommodations. Hotel is walking distance from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Breakfast was good too! Close to many restaurants, mall and markets.
Great stay in the city centre Friendly staff Perfect
Good experience overall - very reasonable pricing and decent standard of accommodation.
Love breakfast and location
Only 5 minutes from Picadilly station. Great for a short stay; very clean and comfortable ..Decent continental breakfast.
Motel One is my favourite hotel in Manchester. The staff are always super friendly, the hotel is very clean & up to date and my dog is made very welcome.
Appreciated the reception folk finding me the best room...you lot are brilliant
A very convenient hotel near the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A small downside was that there was no bedside shelf or table where you could place a book or phone. Good breakfast.
Here’s a polished positive review you can use for Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly: I had a wonderful 2-night stay at Motel One Piccadilly Manchester. Everything about the hotel was excellent. The environment was clean, calm, and very welcoming. The location is perfect, with just about a minute’s walk to the train station and tram services, making it very convenient to move around Manchester and access nearby amenities. The staff at both the reception and bar were very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxing, the service was great, and I truly enjoyed my time there. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay again in the future.
Clean, friendly and good value.
It was fine. A clean but small room in a good location. But the breakfast was woeful and the desk too small to use comfortably. WiFi utterly useless.
Great location great value quiet and comfortable
Very comfortable rooms and convenient location near to Manchester Piccadilly station. A reasonable amount of hanging space for clothes, but could do with a drawer for your smalls. Breakfast was, at best, mediocre, unfortunately. Food choice was quite limited (no cooked breakfast) and tables were left dirty long after guests has finished and left, so we had to sit in the bar area, which was less than ideal.
Very good in most aspects. Basic but simple. Huge queue at check-in was disappointing.
Hotel and staff perfect - the online check-in experience I give you 1 star. I'd already given you my credit card to book, but you asked for it again (the check in staff didn't know why), I kept getting info in German, and I was asked for passport info. I didn't do any of this and just waiting until I checked in, but that came with some added anxiety around the room being there, given you were asking for my card details again. I think your hotel brand is brilliant, I'm a huge advocate, but that was a poor element I wanted to highlight. You would have got the full 10 out of 10 otherwise. :-)
Clean, convenient for station and central manchester, and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast poor for the cost. Continental only and not great quality.
I have no major complaints, but the bread is sliced to thick to function as toasts.
