The hotel itself and staff were great however I had been on a night out with friends and returned in the early hours of the morning. All doors were locked and no one was on reception so I was unable to get back in the hotel and had to go to a friends hotel and return later in the morning. I waited around 30minutes ringing the buzzer and knocking on the door however there was no answer.
Excellent location. Very clean and spacious.
Love this hotel Clean Staff friendly Brilliant location See you again in 3 weeks :)
Value and tidy clean room, great location
Great location, lovely staff and room was perfect for the price. Would stay again
Great location, WiFi and service. AC was wonderful.
The hotelwas realy geeat. The location, the staff and the room were awsome.
Clean, friendly staff and bed was sssssoooooo comfy.
We were greeted so warmly by the person on reception and immediately felt relaxed. The room was really well appointed. One very small dispointment was there was no fridge. A small fridge would have been useful for my medication (insulin) but it did not impact our very good night's sleep on a very comfortable bed and a wonderful shower in the morning.
Smooth check in and out and friendly staff
A few issues, but all dealt with by excellent staff. Lovely size room, comfortable bed and pillows. Good size towels !! But limited hanging space, and no drawer space. I wouldn't have wanted to be staying any longer than 3 nights. Mobile phone signal very poor, though wifi was ok.
Excellent hotel which was clean and good value. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend
Great hotel, centre location. 10 min walk from Piccadilly. Great staff, rooms spotless with lots of tea and coffee. Bottle of water was a nice bonus. Staff were very helpful and polite.
Everything we needed & nothing we didn't. Very close to station which was why we booked. Stayed at Motel One Glasgow last year & found it to be excellent.
Lovely hotel, clean, bright, friendly and perfect location for me. Great rooms and top class staff
Very good hotel to stay, cleaning is continuous every day, and attention in reception and lobby are lovely. Location of the hotel is near to train station, easy to move...
Everything was in excellent condition. The staff were very helpful. I found the price a bit steep.
Just everything I have come to expect from Motel One. Nice comfortable room and really excellent service which distinguishes Motel One from its competition. My complementary breakfast could have been better organised with the breakfast staff who didn't have any notification of it.
Staff on the desk, fantastic, room was very clean, everything fantastic but .... 888 channels on the TV and only 6 worked?! What the hell?! Watching Gogglebox or The Green Mile and those are your only options!!!
It couldn’t have been better! The Reception staff were very attentive and friendly. The room was perfect. Stylish bathroom and bedroom both super clean and comfy bed,
Beautifully laid out rooms. Rooms not that big however space was utilised really well which was impressive. Easy access to transport. Great staff especially the housekeeping.
Fantastic first stay!!
Overall, an excellent experience and great value for money. The location was perfect, and everything you would expect from a hotel was met and even exceeded in many areas. The only suggested (minor) improvement would be updating the television in rooms, which can feel slow and outdated. It would sometimes take a few seconds for the television to respond to remote inputs, and there was also a weak antenna message popping up which made the sound drop in and out occasionally. However, this wasn’t enough to make the television unwatchable. Nonetheless, my visit was still an excellent experience all round!
Friendly welcoming staff. Good breakfast with tasty produce and options Stylish, bright and overall clean Shower/bathroom had a strong unpleasant smoky smell - as if previous occupants had been smoking in there, and it was a non-smoking room.
The staff were so kind and friendly. They provided me with an iron and ironing board, loaned me an umbrella as it rained two mornings. The room was a perfect size for a single person travelling, the bed tock up 80 of the available space. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good.
I stayed in a room that charged me £150 per night and the A/C was not working in the first night. It was disappointing the hotel could not resolve the problem immediately such as arranging another room not until the next day when the engineer back to work, though the staff helped to resolve this issue in the next day nicely. But still Is that a service standard for a room charging £150 per night?
Horrible room
I enjoyed my stay here, staff were really friendly and accommodating. Room was spotless clean. Breakfast was delicious. Would book again.
The room is comfortable and tidy, and the receptionists are friendly. I hope free earplugs can be provided. I hope the quality of the shampoo can be improved, and hair conditioner can be provided.
Everything was good apart from the smelly room, worryingly smelt like prawn crackers/ fish…not good.
As always great service and accommodation.
I’ve been using this hotel for some years and it’s disappointing to get a room with a blocked sink which I only discovered as I was going to bed, and a tv that didn’t work. Bar, reception and breakfast very good, as usual, but maybe this property is tired and in need of some refurbishment.
Conveniently situated for city access, spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. I have stayed twice now and will definitely stay again.
Super hotel, our second stay, we love it!
Superb hotel with outstanding service I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff at both reception and the bar were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is ideal, right outside the station, yet the rooms are perfectly quiet; you can’t hear a single train. The rooms were spotless, and the décor felt very fresh and modern. The continental breakfast served downstairs was delicious and a great way to start the day. This hotel offers excellent value for money. I’ll definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to several friends. The only small area for improvement would be the email communication. For some reason, all emails from the hotel arrived in German. I understand it’s a German hotel chain, but I don’t speak German, so that was a bit of a challenge (LOL).
Perfect location, clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed and friendly helpful staff
Excellent value for money
convenient and perfectly cleaned room, economical rate!
The hotel is in the perfect location for rail travel, bars & restaurants
This is my third stay at Manchester Picadilly. The hotel is well located and I enjoy using it as a base for trips to Manchester. The rooms are clean and cool and the facilities are very good. My only suggestion would be to add a vending facility for soft drinks and snacks as there is no food service at the hotel.
Great room great staff
Fantastic friendly staff greeted us upon arrival and informed us a room was available. Checked in and hit the city centre. Room was clean & functional everything was great.
Very nice hotel for an occasional stay. Excellent cleanliness. Nice bar/reception area and a great location for the city. Welcome at reception was outstanding. Having recruited for a hospitality business the lady who checked me was exactly what I looked for in new team members. Room on the small side. No glass for drinks nor a wardrobe but for one night this is minor. Bathroom clean and functional. I would have liked to have known the cost of breakfast as I may have been tempted. I would not hesitate to use the hotel again.
Great location for Manchester Piccadilly train station. Very nice and modern lobby. Very clean room with very good facilities. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Would definitely stay here again.
The receptionist was incredible. We arrived about an hour before check in after a nightmare train journey. I'm pregnant so I was exhausted and we were going to see if we could drop our bags off while we found somewhere to eat. The receptionist checked us in then and there and asked why we were staying, then kindly offered us directions and how to get to the event and back from our hotel without asking. The lobby was beautiful and we were really surprised by how clean and nice the room was. The bed was comfy and the air con was hugely appreciated. We'll definitely stay again.
We were woken to renovation work going on in the room next door, we reported this to reception who apologised and i was told a manager would be in touch. This hasn't happened. Whilst I appreciate that work needs to be done, we were not informed of this on booking and dont expect to be woken after a late evening by loud sanding, scraping noises when check out wasnt until 12pm. The staff and hotel seemed good even though the room was very small. I was handed a bottle of beer at the bar and wasnt asked if I would like a glass which should be asked. This is the first time ive stayed at a motel one so left feeling disappointed due to the early sleep disruption.
Fabulous reception staff greeted with a pleasant smile. Asked for a sea view didn’t get one !!
As always MotelOne never fails to disappoint. We stayed for 4 nights and our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and tea and coffee was relaplaced .
We received a warm welcome from both bar staff and reception on arrival and were dealt with swiftly and professionally. The rooms are clean and comfortable for the short stay we had. Security at night was very helpful giving us local knowledge and directions. The hotel is placed in an excellent position with easy , quick access to train , tram and city centre as well as being next door to secure parking next door through the Q -Park facility. The only improvement for my taste would be an option for a cooked breakfast.
Good clean room, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere
