Warm welcome and room clean and modern
Overall good value for money. The hotel is very conveniently located for Manchester Piccadilly Station and also a remarkably quiet in terms of disturbance from outside noise for a city centre hotel. The room was basic and fairly compact but had everything needed for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was also a nice walk-in with a decent amount of space and water pressure. The breakfast was OK but no better than that. Overall very good value for money and a good option for a one night stay.
Hotel is well-maintained and conveniently sited, with friendly and helpful staff.
Jack at the the front desk is pure class.
Only thing missing is a fridge
I had requested a higher floor but I know it obviously can’t be guaranteed. And I of course did not get one instead I was put above the pub on a bank holiday weekend and had blaring music until at least 2am, to which it just quietened a decibel or two until the revellers left. Why not close your windows you may ask? Well it was a heat wave and the aircon isn’t the most effective. Also it dries the air like no tomorrow. Not a fan of the paper cups in rooms, the seal on the seams eventually erodes and they begin leaking subtly to which I only noticed when my room was covered in sticky circles. I do like the hotel and its location but perhaps I’ll have to pay for the room with a view to guarantee a high floor next time.
We always choose Motel One in Manchester, it’s an excellent location for us close to Piccadilly Station and everything is immaculate
Great location. Room was clean and fresh with comfortable big bed and walk in shower. Spotlessly clean. The staff were really friendly.
Comfortable stay at city centre hotel with convenient location. Nice welcome at reception. The basic room was fine but it would be better with bedside tables, somewhere to put a drink overnight. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable, it was clean, good towels, great value compared to other similar level hotels.
The staff were exceptional. Very helpful at times. The room was small, but well provided for, with a fantastic bed. The bathroom was also excellent.
This is the third time I have stayed. Great service convenient for trains and downtown. Do not like the paper coffee cups.
Very nice modern hotel, staff are excellent. Happily stay there again. Very convenient for train station and centre of town.
Outstanding
Lovely hotel next to the station. The room was great & the vibe was right
Friendly staff and excellent accommodations. Hotel is walking distance from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Breakfast was good too! Close to many restaurants, mall and markets.
Great stay in the city centre Friendly staff Perfect
Good experience overall - very reasonable pricing and decent standard of accommodation.
Love breakfast and location
Only 5 minutes from Picadilly station. Great for a short stay; very clean and comfortable ..Decent continental breakfast.
Motel One is my favourite hotel in Manchester. The staff are always super friendly, the hotel is very clean & up to date and my dog is made very welcome.
Appreciated the reception folk finding me the best room...you lot are brilliant
A very convenient hotel near the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A small downside was that there was no bedside shelf or table where you could place a book or phone. Good breakfast.
Here’s a polished positive review you can use for Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly: I had a wonderful 2-night stay at Motel One Piccadilly Manchester. Everything about the hotel was excellent. The environment was clean, calm, and very welcoming. The location is perfect, with just about a minute’s walk to the train station and tram services, making it very convenient to move around Manchester and access nearby amenities. The staff at both the reception and bar were very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxing, the service was great, and I truly enjoyed my time there. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay again in the future.
Clean, friendly and good value.
It was fine. A clean but small room in a good location. But the breakfast was woeful and the desk too small to use comfortably. WiFi utterly useless.
Great location great value quiet and comfortable
Very comfortable rooms and convenient location near to Manchester Piccadilly station. A reasonable amount of hanging space for clothes, but could do with a drawer for your smalls. Breakfast was, at best, mediocre, unfortunately. Food choice was quite limited (no cooked breakfast) and tables were left dirty long after guests has finished and left, so we had to sit in the bar area, which was less than ideal.
Very good in most aspects. Basic but simple. Huge queue at check-in was disappointing.
Hotel and staff perfect - the online check-in experience I give you 1 star. I'd already given you my credit card to book, but you asked for it again (the check in staff didn't know why), I kept getting info in German, and I was asked for passport info. I didn't do any of this and just waiting until I checked in, but that came with some added anxiety around the room being there, given you were asking for my card details again. I think your hotel brand is brilliant, I'm a huge advocate, but that was a poor element I wanted to highlight. You would have got the full 10 out of 10 otherwise. :-)
Clean, convenient for station and central manchester, and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast poor for the cost. Continental only and not great quality.
I have no major complaints, but the bread is sliced to thick to function as toasts.
Perfect
Fantastic value facilities firstcrate
Excellent staff and clean facilities
Great welcome at checkin. Lovely clean room. Alwaysca pleasure to stay with Motel One. Thank you.
Nice staff, well located, rooms small but very clean and well equipped.
Breakfast at £14.50 for a continental breakfast seems very expensive
The hotel is excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Excellent location near the train station.
overall positive. Perfect location, friendly service. Were very amenable to my request to change to a different room. Rooms are good. Beds are comfortable, no long waits for elevators. Only problems were that the curtains didn't really keep the light out in the morning and there was no mini-fridge in the room
Fabulous as usual although getting a wine glass from the bar was a little troublesome
Staff friendly and helpful Good position to train station and within walking distance to bars restaurants etc. Would prefer a cup for drinks not a cardboard cup
Great location, warm welcome by reception and comfortable clean room
This was a business trip. I woke up at 2am from noise in the corridor and could then hear the room next door snoring. Clearly room 634 is not soundproofed and you need to do something about that!
Polite staff, always willing to help, nothing too much trouble
Room was decent and clean but a little compact. Was good to have tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. Great size shower. Towels were surprisingly large and nice and soft. Good supply of toilet paper, facial tissues, hand soap and body wash. The downside was. One use paper cups, no bin in bedroom and our room was cold. Tried numerous times to put the heat on but I couldn’t get it to work… There wasnt any information about facilities about the room or surrounding area…
So convenient for the train station. Lovely helpful staff, very clean
staff were excellent
Booking: Appreciate the night audit, which assisted me with the confirmation email. Reception: Available for early check in as requested. I could not use Motel one app for digital check-in, therefore I still need to go to front desk to get keycards. Housekeeping: Room is clean, shower gel and hand wash were half bottles. The tissue box is empty. I tried to ask at front desk but no stock. Room attendants are kind. I cannot see any water bottle in room as I used beOne Rate (member) for staying. Room condition: A/C unit did not function properly; no air output during cooling or heating mode, system was flashing. Only the fan mode is working. The main door needs to be shut very hard; otherwise, it won't be locked. Small silicone black damp in the shower. (room 828) Location: Very good, close to Piccadilly station.
Fab experience lovely hotel and comfortable bed
Good facilities. Great staff - very welcoming. Great location

Welcome to Manchester, birthplace of music! Manchester made the soundtrack for any visit to the North-West: Oasis, The Smiths, Stone Roses and Take That grew to fame here. The Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly is adorned with wallpaper featuring famous local bands. In the bar area, club chairs by Varier and a seating cluster by Living Divani create a relaxed backstage ambiance, decorated appropriately with vinyl records and electric guitars. The symbol of the city, the hard-working bee, is also represented in the hotel, with a colourful photo collage dedicated to this emblem, golden hanging lamps by Produzione Privata in a shape reminiscent of a bee, and honey-yellow cushions on our Signet seating benches.
Our affordable Design Hotel is in the heart of Manchester, near sights such as the Royal Manchester Theatre and Manchester Cathedral. Directly opposite is Manchester’s main Piccadilly Station, putting destinations such as Salford Quays and Manchester airport in easy reach.
