Love staying at this hotel. My room this time 601 has the door in a corner location. Outside seemed to become a dustbin with rubbish and towels dumped there, don't know why but was very unhappy about it.
Welcoming, efficient, helpful and lovely staff team.
Our stay was ok, we had a comfortable sleep however the smell of sewage was absolutely horrendous in the room. It woke us up out of a sleep it was that strong. We couldn't open the bathroom door.
It was cold in the room, even with correct adjustment of the aircondition to 24 degrees.
Brilliant hotel for value for money.
Great value
Lovely Hotel in a great area. Sound proof rooms didn’t hear anyone else. However, it would be nice to have a little fridge in the room for water as people travelling cant drink the tap water. Also the shower was scalding hot.
Excellent location near central station, lower rooms might be a bit loud because of train and trams, but ok! Very clean rooms and bathrooms modern interior, WLAN with good speed! Very friendly and helpfull staff, very good breakfast in the morning until 11:00 (thanks ;-))
Very clean. Nice rooms. Staff were very friendly. Great location. Surprisingly quiet given the location
Very comfortable room. Staff were very friendly. Location excellent
Love this motel. Stayed before and will be back in January
Room was nice with a comfortable bed and a good view. The cleaner made a lot of noise in the morning and was somewhat rude implying we should have been out of the room earlier so she could clean it in the order that she preferred. As a physically disabled guest it takes me longer to get ready in the morning so I didn’t feel comfortable with her attitude. I don’t think any guest should feel pressured to leave their room because it’s inconvenient for people working in the hotel
Cleaners noisy when working in adjacent rooms. Issues with TV that I experienced during another stay in August. Aside from the above, staff friendly and rooms always great.
Lots to recommend it. Good location, clean rooms, great breakfast. Same issue as many other hotels however which is it’s too hot to sleep. Duvets are made of some insanely dense material and you can’t cool the room down sufficiently. No sheet either which would help. Rooms of course are very small.
The hotel is in a great location, I really don’t understand a hotel in 2024 that doesn’t just have iron and ironing boards in the room it’s not even a luxury it’s a necessity
Stayed here a few times now, very clean a d staff are friendly. Would stay again.
Air-conditioning/heating system not responsive on the touch panel - room far too hot. Was told this needed central resetting upon subsequently enquiring with the reception staff. Different service received by guests - my colleague had vouchers for free bottles of water which I did not receive. Clean bathrooms and bedding.
A very beautiful place to be with friends and family
Great location
It was very nice many thanks for your nice service.
In many respects we were impressed by Motel one Piccadily Manchester. In saying this there was one extremely disappointing aspect to our stay. While five of us travelled from Australia and spent five nights each and the hotel we were disappointed when due to a change in circumstance we had to book one extra night at the hotel for one of our group. Despite the fact that we would spend 20 nights in total as a group at the hotel we were charged an exorbitant rate for one additional night due to the mentioned change of circumstance for one of our group. This lack of goodwill certainly left a sour taste in the mouth and demonstrated quite a rapacious attitude to customers who had already invested both their confidence and finance in the hotel. On a positive we cannot praise highly enough the reception staff at the hotel. Frank
a very nice motel, would stay here again!
Clean, quite and very good service
Staff were extremely friendly, check in online easy so they can just get your key issued. Room was nice & clean Price was very good for the location and the time of year
I couldn’t believe how lovely this hotel was. Such a great price, modern and spotless rooms and a great location
Room lacing in the fine details - paint peeling in shower, foundation marks on wall next to mirror. Bathroom door was grubby.
Had such a lovely stay at motel one Manchester-Piccadilly, room was very clean and bed was really comfy, the location was spot on so close to Gay village, Retail districts, rail station Bars and Restaurants I will definitely be back for sure thanks guys :)
Room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel as it's close to the major arenas for gigs. However this is also the second time the Aircon hasn't worked resulting in me opening the window and not sleeping well due to noise outside. The shower pressure is awful too and takes you a longer to clean.
Location was good. Room was good. Staff were good. Breakfast was disappointing. As someone who couldn't eat bread, 3/4 of the offerings were unavailable to me. Have stayed at Motel One in Glasgow a number of times and enjoyed their breakfast. This included cereals with seeds and dried fruit you could add on top, fruit salad, Greek yoghurt, and chia pots in addition to everything you have on offer. I'd recommend introducing those options for your clients in Manchester too.
We upgraded this visit to a larger room, as a standard room is so small. This larger room was way better with the lounge area, however the gap between the wall and the end of the bed is still tiny. You can’t pass two people, you have to keep waiting for each other. Minor point I know, but when you’re rushing around trying to get ready it’s annoying. No glasses either, had to use the paper cups for wine in the evening and the same ones for coffee in the morning. shower wasn’t great either. Great bar and reception area.
Had a great stay in a comfortable clean hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was great quality, but could we please have olives added.
The room was so hot aircon didn't work. The cleaner confirmed none of the rooms aircon works. There was a 'white noise' sound which prevented us sleeping the bedside lamps are cumbersome to turn on off. Switch on top of the lamps. No water in the rooms. I didn't appreciate cardboard cups for a hot drink in a room costing £150/night. I asked for a room with a view, room 23 8th floor, it faced an office block where everyone could see us as it was so close only an alley in between. Small room without a sit down dressing table to dry your hair put makeup on, as no mirror nearby. Overall not value for money. The plus side is the location, there is a well stocked bar, and most importantly, amazing staff in all areas.
It Is needed to clean the rooms better and the breakfast it is needed to put more variety, there is no salami when there always was it.
friendly staff, clean room, nice bar overall felt extremely welcome and enjoyed my stay
The room was neat, and nice but the mobile and Internet reception was really poor.
A bit tatty, not as nice as the one in st peters square. There was a packet if sugar in the bed
The hotel is clean and comfortable but would benefit from a few additional provisions, eg a small fridge and some bottled water, a small coffee-pod machine and an ironing board would be useful. Instead of offering the floor I will stay on, please offer the nicer view as an option when checking in
I left my wallet in the room and the hotel contacted me, thank you. The room was clean and tidy. The heating wasn’t warm at all.
Overall a good experience, staff very friendly & helpful, my only complaint is the cost of the breakfast, far too much for what was on offer.
Amazing as always.
I always enjoy my stay at Motel One. My only criticism (if I can even call it that...) is that the staff at Piccadilly usually struggle to find my booking. I am not sure why this is. I am a beOne member so book directly via the Motel One website, and I check in and pay for my room before my arrival. I would have thought that all of this would make things easier but it seems to do the opposite. I am able to provide my reference number and invoice to staff, and they do locate my booking eventually, but I am not sure why it seems to complicate things. However, this does not detract from the quality of my stay overall, and I am always happy to recommend Piccadilly and Motel One as a company.
Always excellent. I’ve stayed before home and abroad.Very good facilities and staff.
Great room, a little compact... the iron and board had to be requested. But great, clean room with a comfy bed.
Noisy, seems Motel One now attracts those who want to slam noisy, hold loud conversation and have TV full blast at 2.30am. Avoid
Nice hotel, comfy bed. Disappointed that was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Other that that enjoyed our stay.
Great location, everything in walking distance. Room was slightly on the small side, but didn’t really matter too much as we were out most of the time. The only one thing I would of liked is proper cups in the room for making a hot drink, didn’t like the paper cups
Lovely hotel although we only stayed for 1 night
I would have given a better score, but some issues with the room, cigarette burns on the carpet, no signal on the TV &a strange smell in the bathroom. All the staff were very friendly. Particularly the bar staff.
Much better than I expected for the price paid. Very pleasantly surprised. Helpful, friendly staff, and a large and clean room with everything you could want. Only downside for me was that they only serve. continental breakfast.
Nice clean hotel ,staff extremely helpful in every way
