Great one night stay- quick check in, clean room, very good shower. The room was quite basic but you get what you pay for.
Great location near train station and great restaurants
Excellent hotel, but noticed some very unprofessional, immature staff behaviour which was very poor. I approached reception in the morning of my check out to see two younger women already checking out with three female members of staff at reception. The two young women were dressed well and were clearly off to do something special - they were very happy as they were checking out. As they walked off from the three female staff, I noticed one of the staff look at the others and roll her eyes in disgust and look at the other two members of staff who smiled. This act publicly demonstrated a distinct lack of both respect for your guests and professionalism in their roll. It was quite possibly the most immature behaviour I have witnessed in this hotel in my many visits. I approached the three female staff and made them aware that I had witnessed this act and told them how disgusted I was to have seen them clearly and obviously making an outward, negative judgement of their paying guests. This behaviour is unbelievably unprofessional and unacceptable in any customer facing staff - you NEVER show judgement on your face in a venue where you deal with, or can be seen by other paying guests. This was hugely disappointing and will certainly affect my opinion of this hotel, as this is all I remember now.
Excellent hotel, I usually stay with Premier Inn but no more . Motel one Piccadilly is half the price I would have paid at Premier Inn. Motel one was very clean and modern, staff was very helpful and cheerful, I liked the bottle beer served in the on site bar which is J.W. Lee bitter lovely beer.
Very convenient location opposite the station and walking distance to city centre, good room with comfortable bed and walk in shower, spotlessly clean, excellent value. I do think breakfast is not such good value but the overall price is good and there are other options on the doorstep. A safe in the room would be a bonus, and herbal teas could be included with the tea options. I have stayed previously in the London Motel One and have recommended Motel One to several friends who have stayed in different locations.
Fantastic place to stay Very close to Railway Station and City Centr Walking distance to AO Stadium Clean, large room Immaculate areas to sit in lobby and Bar Very pleasant stay
This is the 2nd time I've stayed at motel one and I have nothing but positives from my stays. The rooms are nice, the bed is comfortable & the showers are good which is rarely the case. Check in and check out is easy and all of the staff are very friendly. I will be choosing motel one when I next visit Manchester.
Motel One was quite a bit cheaper than most hotels in the area, so we weren't expecting it to be great. On entering reception, we were greeted by friendly staff who informed us that the reception was manned 24/7 if we had any problems and that the bar, which was lovely, served until 2.00am. Our room was very modern, spotless, and had very comfortable beds. The shower was great and the bath towels were as thick as duvets. Altogether, it was a lovely experience and 2 minutes walk from Picadilly Station.
Great location close to Piccadilly station. Very comfortable room and bed. Nice city view. Proper bathroom (no glass doors!) No noise. Friendly, helpful staff.
Lovely stay, Overall room clean and comfortable. Couldn't get the TV to work but not a problem on this stay. Breakfast simple but good value from money. The jewel in the crown of this hotel are the staff who are all warm, welcoming and extremely capable and efficient. Would recommend.
Great location. Round the corner from Piccadilly station and a short walk, bus, tram from anywhere in the city centre. Lovely lobby and bar area. Friendly, helpful staff. Decent size rooms with all needed amenities for a couple of nights stay. No parking but there is a multistory next door. Pretty good rates for a city, especially over the weekend.
Lovely 2 night stay. Nice inviting decor in the lobby with comfy seating. Room was clean and comfy. Bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable.
Pleasant stay and perfectly located for city centre. Rooms were very basic and we were surprised there were no usb points in the rooms, but everything was clean and presentable. The entrance and reception area of the hotel were beautiful and smelled amazing. Again, breakfast was pleasant, but the lack of hot food was slightly disappointing.
Lovely room, clean and warm. Staff friendly and near to venue to see Ocean Colour Scene. Would recommend, didn't have breakfast so can't comment.
Bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom door did not close fully. Another bin is needed in the bedroom not just bathroom. Wardrobe space and clothing space is too limited Mirror needed above the table. Some window netting needed as I was on the first floor and everyone on the bus could see in. Pump on the shower gel was broken. Was not clear that you only offer continental breakfast until I arrived. Location and bar area was great. Needed more milk and a fridge would be great.
The room was clean and adequate. However it would be improved if proper mugs and glasses and water was provided. The breakfast was expensive considering that it was continental with no options for cooked breakfast.
Good price for the central location, however the rooms are very basic and this could be improved on. Bar staff weren't the friendliest, but check in staff weren't lovely and check innwas quick and easy. There is no fridge or shower cap in the room which i feel let it down.
Nice hotel. Great location. Helpful staff. A hotel with a lobby! Rare these days. Would have been a 10 score, but the room was small and very like being in ebox. But for the pryon a Saturday night, very very good
Excellent service and support. Rooms were a bit basic and dated.
I was impressed on check-in that the receptionist told me there was a better rate available than the one I'd booked, saving me £50. The hotel (public areas and rooms) was clean and well maintained. Disappointed that there were no USB sockets in the room, I had to buy an adapter. Also surprised that there were no bedside tables or shelves, luckily the console table was light enough to move next to the bed (though if you're travelling with a partner you'd have to fight over it!). For the price I would have expected a basic cooked breakfast, that said, the continental breakfast was reasonable quality. Location very handy for Piccadilly station (2 minute walk). Wi-Fi signal a bit hit and miss. Overall it was ok, but my niggles about the room amenities was the reason for not giving a better score.
Unbeatable location; room waa a bit noisy due to being right in front of the elevator. Berakfast was OK, but I would expected a couple of more hot items- scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon....
Clean and comfortable room, perfect location, friendly team
Clean room Friendly staff Great location Good value
This hotel was perfect for me. It is brilliantly situated as I was travelling by train from Manchester Piccadilly but it would be good for any central Manchester destination. The staff were really great; cheerful and willing to do a bit extra. The rooms are fairly basic but I only needed a place to sleep so that wasn't a problem. Excellent value.
Brilliant location, elegant hotel, pleasant bar and reception area, comfy mattress, excellent value for money.
As a single woman traveller a spy hole in the room door (at a height for average women) is a must have.
The location was ideal for me. I was very impressed by how helpful the receptionist (Poppy) was. The only down side was that I was woken in the night by a high pitched buzzing which turned out to be coming from the card slot by the door.
The staff at reception were very helpful and gave me a room over looking the station as requested. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable.
The hotel was nice, but I was generally disappointed with the cleanliness of my room. There were lots of dark, curly hairs on the shower tiles (I’m blonde), and an aftershave sample bottle had been left next to the bed. Not the worst, but it does suggest that if something so noticeable was missed, little care was taken when cleaning the room.
The hotel was really good, clean and the atmosphere reminded me of a spa very relaxing. It's also great value for money too. I will defo stay again.
Piccadilly Motel One I felt had one major failing on the ground floor. Disjointed layout especially at breakfast. The entrance facing reception was constantly used in the morning by people using the toilet facilities who were not guest's, so draughty and cold eating breakfast. Otherwise a nice hotel in a good central location close to the station and car hire facilities
Modern Hotel, Excellent location. Perfect for overnight stays. 5 star room cleanliness. Efficient and helpful staff. Next time we are in Manchester overnight Motel One will be where we stay. Thank You.
Well placed for all transport links, the chic mix of decorative rock & modernism with added warmth welcomes the traveller. Rooms are clean & does the job for a couple of days in the city. The continental breakfast was excellent, but could have benefited from a hot plate of bacon & scrambled eggs. Over all really happy with the hotel & the friendly stafff.
Great hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Near to Piccadilly station.
Compared to other Motel One locations, this property just doesn't feel very cozy. The room was very basic and lacked a safe. The bar / breakfast area lacks plants and decorations.
Enjoyed a 2 night stay staff were extremely polite from the reception staff to the bar staff always had a smile and were more than helpful when questions were asked . Good city centre. Location only 5 mins walk to Piccadilly train station and 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Our room was quite small but adequate.
Comfortable and very clean. Very helpful staff.
Great stay overall, easy check-in ans was able to check-in earlier than the 3pm stated. Very friendly staff, only minor complaint is being able to hear other guests returning to their rooms in the early hours but apart from that everything was great.
Everything was perfect. Really liked the room, staff helpful and nice, good breakfast
Room was nice, lobby as well and good atmosphere. I was missing healthy yoghurt/Cereal/ oatmeal options at breakfast. And if you would save our companies adress in the system it would also save a lot of time druing invoice creation.
Comfortable rooms and excellent staff.
Very clean room, helpful staff.
We arrived at the wrong hotel but the pleasant, professional and extremely helpful receptionist sorted out our problem. Very impressed . Only get one chance to make a first impression and it was great 😇
The automatic doors didn’t fully open when I arrived so I hurt myself trying to enter as I was expecting them to fully open. This is obviously immediately off putting when you are staying somewhere for the first time. I didn’t sleep very well as I don’t think the room was very sound proof. The tea and coffee selection in the room were excellent and the bathroom was lovely. Great location with parking next door.
I really like staying at Motel One but on this occasion the room felt rather ‘tired’ and in need of a revamp
Great location, minutes from Piccadilly Station, friendly check in staff, clean comfortable rooms and beds. And great value!
Great location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Great towels
Fantastic service and facilities, highly recommended
Perfect location Modern clean rooms Friendly staff
This was my first stay in a Motel One, on this basis I would certainly stay, this location is perfect if you are travelling by train to Manchester. Next time I would probably upgrade to one of the bigger rooms. The continental breakfast was far better than most, it's actually closer to what you would find in Germany, decent Rye bread, cooked meats and cheese. I did not get time to use the public spaces and Bar, but they looked a cut above your average budget hotel.
