at the other motel one in manchester, i think that it is called the royal exchange, they have a different breakfast menu, i was expecting bacon and sausages, there was just a continental breakfast, i would have preferred the other choices at this hotel to, if i had known the breakfast was just this, i would have stayed at the royal exchange again, But poppy at the desk and the man who made the toffee banana cake were fabulous, also there was no safe in the room, i was expecting to keep my valuables nice and safe in there,

Easy check in - friendly morning shift on the desk
Very handy for Piccadilly railway station and the city centre yet pleasantly quiet. Room and communal areas were up to the usual Motel One standard.
Rooms slightly dated but I had quite a large room and it was clean and satisfactory. Iron and ironing board available from reception. Pet peeve is not having a phone in the room to call reception and the TV being too old to stream music through, but still excellent value for money. If you're visiting and need a clean place to sleep and won't be spending endless time in the room, it's excellent value for money and perfectly located.

We were disappointed with the room and bathroom as it was very small. We have stayed at motel one in Glasgow before and the room was much bigger and nicer. We will not be paying £345 to stay here again for 2 nights.

Room was immaculate, bed was comfy. We didn't use the lounge bar but it looked really nice. Staff were very friendly and the blue sweets on the reception desk were lovely.

Your front desk people were fantastic. The towels are wonderful. The floor is a little hard, and the sheets are not as nice as the towels. However, we still love staying at your hotels. I would also like it if the Wi-Fi was password protected.
I stay at this Motel One often and particularly like its proximity to Piccadilly train station, the friendliness of its staff and its cleanliness. On this occasion I had no signal on my mobile in the room I was given initially, so had to request a different room. The member of staff I spoke to was very helpful and accommodating in finding me an alternative. The main negative comment I have is that there are not proper cups in the room. For a period there were Motel One special cups, which were a bit better than paper ones, but even those are no longer provided and it's back to paper ones. This is the only I've ever stayed in where proper cups are provided as standard.
I have stayed here 2 times now with my partner and its always very clean, good sized rooms, Nice bathroom and shower. Great price to stay for a short city break too. The downstairs bar and seating area is very relaxing atmosphere too after spending all day walking round nice to sit and enjoy a drink.
Motel One is my go-to venue in Manchester. Comfortable, clean and quiet rooms.
The room was lovely but the view was disappointing as it was a brick wall one a dirty roof so shut curtains so we didn’t have to look out
I arrived early to drop off my back pre- check in. Desk staff were available, friendly and helpful. When I came back in the afternoon to check in, again, the member of staff who dealt with me was professional, efficient and very helpful indeed. On this experience, as in all previous stays, I’d give your staff the highest rating - and they set the tone for the whole stay. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. What I like, in sum, about Motel One, is the smooth and efficient way things seem to work.
Friendly staff easy close to Station
I really liked granting my booking request of a room in a high floor away from the elevator. I couldn't wish for better room location getting the furthest one from the elevator in the top floor. On the room for improvement, considering the hotel class and the value for money, I'd greatly appreciate a mini fridge in the room, access to ironing equipment/room, gym ... etc.
Everything was perfect for our stay. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. The bar area downstairs was really good too.

Clean room. Comfortable bed. The only feedback I have is I would have liked some bottled water in the room. Having arrived late in the evening, I had to go back down to the bar to purchase water
The beds are so comfortable! It is worth a journey to Manchester just for a good night's sleep.
Brilliant location, friendly & attentive staff, clean and comfortable room.
The hotel was lovely and clean. Bed was comfy and staff very polite and friendly perfect for what we needed at a great price. Parking just behind in open air car parks much cheaper than NCP or Q park as parked in SIP no rebooking and only £14 for 24 hours. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the main centre but in a lovely area near the canal.
My room had a problem with the climate control, fixed right away. Just no water in the rooms other wise it would have been a 10.
My friend booked a different hotel near by for the same night. For an extra £20 they had much more in their room. Kind size bed, fridge, sofa and plenty of tv channels! A small fridge would have been nice with some bottled water as it was so hot in our room. The air con didn’t work very well, only one bin in bathroom that hadn’t been emptied and the shower is too close to the wall to stand underneath. Also very limited on teas and coffee. Only enough for one coffee each. The bar area is lovely and all the staff we met were so kind and friendly. The room is basic but overall clean and comfortable.
Great hotel for overnight stay. Good shower with lovely large towels. Would prefer to have a side table on both sides of the bed.
Motel one suits my needs pretty well, second time staying. My only issue this time I had was the aircon possible not being completely functional? I stayed last year during a heat wave and I could cool the room pretty effectively but it was nigh impossible sleeping the first night because I could not get the cooling to work. It is party my fault for not speaking to staff for assistance did end up having to rely on opening the window to deal with the heat. But overall good stay.

Return stay at Motel One after staying elsewhere. Really friendly greeting at reception quick check in and my exact room type provided. As soon as I walked into my room I realised how much I like the rooms and it was great that the tv had been updated although I never got a chance to fully try it out. Only thing that lets the rooms down is no fridge and the curtains whilst thick aren’t blackout. Lastly please the offer of a glass room temperature bottle of water is a bit pointless in my opinion- please get a water cooler in reception so we can get cold water on demand
The property offers excellent value and convenience, and is well located. I stay when in Manchester when I have travelled from London for professional work up there. I would like to highlight two excellent interactions on my last visit, staying on the night of 15 April. First, your website seemed to have changed the date of the reservation to the date of booking and treated me as a no show. But staff identified this and flagged it to administration who arranged a refund the next day, and I was booked in at reception as a new booking. Secondly, on the next day there was a serious problem with trains because of damage to overhead wires at Piccadilly stopping all direct service to London. Online rail information about alternatives if any was very poor and so I decided to go with my luggage to the station. But I first checked (about 1630) with your reception to see if there were rooms left so I could book back in if unable to travel, and because the hotel was filling but to avoid risk of me having nowhere to return to if necessary, your colleague Burgan offered to hold a room for long enough to prevent this. As it happened there was a rail substitute bus to Stockport then trains, and I called the hotel so the room could be released- but I almost never provide feedback and I do so because I would like to note this event and record thanks to Burgan and the staff at the Piccadilly hotel.
Nice stay, clean rooms. Breakfast could be better, not completely the same every day. Maybe try two different breakfasts layouts and exchange it every other day...
Had to move room due to the shower not heating up. New room wasn’t serviced the entire time, had to ask for clean towels. Was in Manchester for the marathon, had a 10 month old baby. Very poor & disappointed
Lovely room, good price. Issue with shower which was sorted very quickly. Breakfast a bit poor, not together and no hot food. Only one toaster didn't help

Dead shield bug in the bed! Room also smelled a bit musty, however the bed was comfortable and did the job for one night. Breakfast was good, but not much hot food choice. Bar was very reasonably priced and very well stocked

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Motel One, Piccadilly recently. Our room was comfortable and clean, hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Our only negative observation was that the breakfast seating area is located beside a busy sliding exit door and it became very cold and uncomfortable to sit and have breakfast there. Prehaps this door could be kept closed for the short duration of breakfast times to ensure the comfort of your guests. Other than that, our review of this hotel is a very positive one. Thank you.
