The hotel is conveniently located right next to the train station, making it an excellent choice for travelers. The lobby is beautiful, and the room, although small, has a modern design. There were several downsides to my stay. First, the reception is not staffed 24/7. When I left the hotel, there was nobody at reception, so I simply left my key without having the opportunity to ask any questions. After 10 p.m., you also need to use your room key to access the lobby, which is inconvenient, especially when there are already people inside. Second, there was no complimentary bottled water in the room. While this is a minor issue, it is something I would normally expect in many other hotels. The biggest problem, however, was the noise. From 8 a.m., renovation or maintenance work was taking place in a room right next to mine, on the same floor. The noise was so loud that I could not sleep and had to wake up much earlier than planned. I had intended to spend the morning working in my room, but the noise continued for several hours and was still ongoing when I left the room at noon. Unfortunately, there was no telephone in the room to contact reception, and Booking.com did not provide an option to contact the hotel directly through the platform. This made it extremely difficult to report the issue or ask for assistance. Overall, the reception service feels very limited, serving mainly for check-in and document processing rather than providing actual guest support. Apart from its convenient location next to the train station and its beautiful lobby, I did not find any particular reason to choose this hotel again. The lack of guest support and, especially, the disruptive noise significantly affected my stay.

I found this place to be soulless, almost grim. No trimmings. No frills. Expect more for the price. The shower floor got so slippery.

Great stay but room issues. I'd booked two rooms and my friend had a stuck heating dial so the room was like a sauna all night (easily fixed) My room a small issue with the sink not draining but again easily fixed.

I love motel one. I was particularly appreciative of the kettle and coffee in the room. This is not common in motel one. I like to have coffee in the room. One thing I didn’t like was being asked to opt out of cleaning. We had just arrived after a long travel day and were disregulated. After agreeing, I asked about getting new towels and was told I’d need to ask for that or wait until day three. The next morning we asked not to be opted out. Rooms are small and it’s really nice to get fresh towels and have the garbage removed. We are currently staying in a different hotel brand that offers a 5 pound credit in the restaurant or bar if we opt out. Motel one didn’t do this. Please note the location right by central station is convenient but a bit run down.

We've stayed at the Motel One in both Edinburgh and Glasgow many times. We are very happy with the central location of both Motels. The rooms are small, but all that we require, as we are only there for sleeping. The breakfast in the morning is very good, with a wide variety of foods. The rooms are always very clean upon entry.

Our experience wasn't as we hoped I requested a disability accessible room as my husband has dementia and needs room to move about due to spacial awareness the room we got was great the bed the shower we couldn't fault it however our sleep was disturbed until 2 30am by loud banding music the constant stopping and starting of music our room faced the back of the station . We were exhausted the next day which ruined our experience at a show we were seeing on the Sunday after the terrible sleep .my poor husbands anxiety was increased through night he kept checking the door as he thought the constant beat from the music was someone at our door . For goodness sake if you put disable people in a room please ensure their sleep is not impacted to the extent they are unable to sleep . A room in a quieter area would have been better for us I appreciate the hotel location and the noise but surely disabled room should protect guests from the noise and disturbance we experienced .I paid 193 pounds for that one night and I'm sorry to say our experience was ruined as the hotel is beautiful inside the staff are so warm and welcoming its a shame I'm having to write thus response .
First time staying at Motel One, Glasgow and il definitely book again. Room was spotless, staff were friendly and attentive. The free water was very much appreciated. Thanks for a lovely stress free stay

Great service. Particularly impressed with the dietary management and non-dairy (and non-soya) options at breakfast. The provision of an "oat milk" only coffee machine is revolutionary (not seen it elsewhere in a hotel) - please role this out across the board.
I can't fault it. The rooms are beyond comfortable, very clean with great facilities. The staff go above and beyond to assist and the level of hospitality is second to none.
Great location right next to train station ,lots of shops ,pubs ,although it's very central and very busy ,we slept very well and couldn't hear any road noise from in room

Good location very close to the station. Bed comfortable, quiet and black out curtains so a good night's sleep. Staff at check in were friendly and helpful. Nice bar with plenty of space and nice cocktails. My only complaint is the shampoo is like acid if you get it in yours eyes!

We stay here fairly often as it is very convenient for us - usually we don't have any issues but this time - 7th-8th October... we wanted a quiet room so we were happy to accept the 10th floor.... However, just as our head hit the pillow, we realised that there was a flushing sound from the bathroom.... this went on every two minutes for the rest of the night and we had to use earplugs to get to sleep... however, at one point we were both awoken by what sounded like water running down the walls!!.... THEN! again having fallen a aleep... the TV came on and we had to uplug from the wall.... terrible night's sleep unfortunately. No real response from reception either in the morning... We're supposed to be staying again in November .... !

smooth check in. Central location. Clean, modern room. Discounted parking was helpful. Too small of a space for 2 adults with luggage. No view. Need proper mugs and drinking glasses - plastic one was cracked; felt unhygenic. Street and train noise were heard when trying to get fresh air through the open window. TV reception was poor and would break up/pixilation.

Great stay. Friendly and helpful staff, the lobby area was lovely, and room was nice enough. Not explicitly dirty, but some signs of built up grime on bathroom floor. My one complaint is the plastic reuseable cups instead of ceramic mugs in the room - they looked tired and stained, felt unpleasant to drink from, and gave my brew a weird smell and taste.
Really well located, clean and friendly staff. Comfortable bed. However, when asked to help with luggage due to injury they declined we do f have any porter or bell person. We also asked for a twin at booking but was given double.
The room was absolutely fine. My one issue with my stay was breakfast. If breakfast is offered until 10am there should be a grace period until 10:30 am. We were sat at 9:40 and 10 minutes later we were told to “get”anything else we wanted as the buffet would be closing at 10:00 am. At the exact stroke of 10, the staff proceeded to do the tear down. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Also apparently the coffee machines are turned off at precisely 10am as well. One other observation is that the staff do not seem happy which of course impacts the overall experience.

a first class hotel which we have visited now on three occasions, Location ie by the railway station, was our very first reason to book with you and then the key criteria are all met. Service , cleanliness and a superb breakfast all excellent
The property is lovely but our stay this year was much less enjoyable than when we stayed last year. Staff were less friendly and service less positive. Unfortunately we also were unbelievably warm in our room, 9.32, and the suggested solution of opening the window was no help as it opens a very small amount. It was very difficult to sleep in that heat. The bathroom toilet needs maintenance as it continuously fills, which will be wasting a lot of water. We absolutely loved our stay last year, but have been put off this time.
