Very nice staff throughout the hotel. Efficient check in, comfortable & clean room. Nice breakfast.

Hotel location is first rate. Front desk is responsive. Rooms are minuscule but fully functional. If one gets a room with a view towards the Münster (Ulm Cathedral) then the hotel experience is excellent. Anything else lowers the experience exponentially. The bar on the fifth floor is attractive, but the terrace closes at 10 PM.

We had a nice stay as a family of 4. The breakfast location and staff were very welcoming to the kids and overall very friendly.

The hotel is very central. Is it beautifully decorate and the crew are amazingly nice and helpful. Breakfast is also wonderful and the view from the dining room on the 5th floor is magnificent.

Lovely, modern building with design flair directly opposite the cathedral. Rooftop bar and breakfast situation was excellent.

We loved our stay at Motel One in Ulm, The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was a little small, but very fair price.

Wasn't quite what we expected. Hotel room was quite minimal, even smallish, even by European standards.

First time I have been disappointed by my room at Motel One. As I arrived you could spell a strange smell, probably from the restaurant below, in the room. There was loud fan whirring without stop in the bathroom in my room 116 and the desk would not move me upon request.

I’ve stayed here a few times. It’s a nice place and worth the money. The last time, Room 120 had a hole in the wall, a leaky shower, and a towel with a hole in it. This is very unusual for a hotel in Ulm and for the brand in general. It was probably just a bad luck. But try to avoid the corner rooms at this hotel.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Ulm - the location of the hotel is just perfect, and the proximity to the Salzstadel carpark is great. The room was comfortable and stylish, the beds were great and made for a good nights' sleep. For this stay I had booked a 'Special One' room, but I felt that there was little difference to the regular rooms I'd previously booked. Whether that was due to a mistake in the room allocation process or simply that there is not that much difference is something that I did not want to spend time exploring. We tried to have a drink in the rooftop bar one early evening, but the member of staff on duty was totally disinterested so we decided to leave. A similar story at reception one morning - the receptionist had wandered off and was not looking round to see if anyone was waiting to be seen. One of the cleaning staff who was nearby answered my question! I know that the hotel in Ulm is a busy city center hotel, but all the same, it would be nice if the receptionists interacted a little more, perhaps a smile or a nod when guests pass?

Very pleasant room! Good room climate, What I missed in my room: A kettle for making coffee or tea. A fridge. I found some old paper (an envelope) from a previous guest, partially hidden behind a curtain. No big deal, but indicates that the cleaning was not 100% perfect. I personally prefer a closed a shower cabin instead of the available semi-open one. But that is a very personal matter of taste. The room is very quiet which is great. However, the ventilation in the bathroom is always on and clearly hearable in the room. Still, the ventilation is not powerful enough to stop fogging on the bathroom mirrors to occur when taking a shower.

I booked “special one room”. Which are rooms, normally on higher floors, with live, view and lots of natural light and, more space, . I stayed many time I Roos like this in Dresden motel one and Munich as well. What we experienced in Ul last 17th October, was a room in first floor, but actually was underground considering we were under a garden plataforma that reached 1/3 of all our windows. Unacceptable. We pay more for less. .

A modern hotel in a great location. We had an accessible room which was spacious and well suited for me as a wheelchair user. Rating it an overall for that there is no possibility to park near the hotel to check in / unload luggage (not the hotel’s fault but still a problem) and for the fact that several items on the menu of the bar were not available/sold out on Sunday evening

My stay was adequate, my room although small was comfortable & clean. What I would like to point out was how awful I was left feeling after being refused entry at the front door due to a bar being set up to facilitate the sale of alcohol during a festival. I was told to use the back entrance although it would have been easy to simply move a table to the side. I was forced to walk a route that I was not familiar with & got lost. I came back & asked someone to show me. I said this is disgraceful behaviour & the man moved the table to allow me access . I feel that the profit & gain of the hotel was put before the needs & comfort of hotel guests ! I am back again on the 8th of August at Ulm to attend a wedding & hope that the hotel can do much better. Kind regards Alexandrea Steinemann

Great location. Customer service excellent. Very accommodating for us travelling with bicycles.

Perfect location, modern hotel with a beautiful rooftop bar. Beds were comfortable, rooms quiet and breakfast offered many choices. Can't fault the hotel, although the rooms were a bit small if you come with a couple of big suitcases. Would certainly use Motel One again.

the rooms are default motel one, which is a good thing. they are big enough and offer everything needed for short stays (for me anyway). there's a nice small bar under the roof with a small terrace.

Missed eggs or sausage for breakfast. And draft beer.

Everything was fine, apart from a strange noise in the bathroom (water running or the bathroom ventilation fan). We still do not understand why lots of hotels do not provide bidet attachments. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so we are not in a position to evaluate it.

Kdyby byl Albert Einstein ještě mezi námi, určitě by se v našem hotelu Motel One Ulm cítil jako doma. Pohodlná sametová křesla v naší ikonické tyrkysové barvě zvou k rozjímání, hloubání a spekulování u krbu. Rozlehlá hotelová hala a zasedací místnost jsou jako stvořené pro vášnivé filozofování o přírodních zákonech. A v panoramatickém baru s výhledem na katedrálu v Ulmu si známý vědec může dokonce zkontrolovat své poznámky, samozřejmě s čerstvě namíchaným drinkem v ruce. Hned před vchodem do hotelu na vás čeká katedrála v Ulmu. Její věž, se svými 162 metry nejvyšší kostelní věž na světě, se tyčí nad střechami města jako krásný obr. Oproti ní působí známé Grabenhäusle jako trpaslíci. Některé z těchto historických domků ze 17. století vás přivítají téměř na úrovni očí.
A pak narazíte na Alberta Einsteina osobně. Přímo uprostřed areálu historické zbrojnice vás svérázný fyzik přivítá šibalsky vyplazeným jazykem – a samozřejmě nechybí ani jaderná raketa. Koneckonců, co by byla Einsteinova fontána bez fyziky?
