Great location, overall impression clean, staff friendly, room facing the interior, unfortunately only a tiny window, difficult to ventilate. All in all - nice stay… gladly again

Location really excellent - 2 minutes to the metro, within walking distance to Plaza de España and from there to many sights. Numerous restaurants like El Cisne (opposite the hotel) / bistros like Viena with a decent standard are nearby. Rooms do not quite have the usual Motel One standard as in Germany. No reading lamp on the desk, no shelf in the shower, no switched-on fridge. The price asked was perhaps a bit demanding for October 2026 (yes, I know, Madrid is expensive). However, my room had a nice and well-kept rooftop terrace, and you do not get that for free. The staff, especially at the reception, are very friendly and mega helpful. For another stay in Madrid, I would definitely choose the hotel again. For me, the hotel also served as a hub for my trips with the AVE to Toledo and Segovia.

Some of the most basic accomodation I have ever seen - for a five star price. The only "amenity" a bottle of "mineral water" that I'm pretty sure was just a bottle filled with tap water, the label wasn't even stuck on straight. The room was bare, cramped and dark. It stank like an animal had died in it, they need to look at their drains and sewage. I reported this upon check-out, got a "professional smile" but clearly they didn't care. Would have been adequate as budget accommodation for maybe a quarter of the price - I paid 200 EUR without breakfast! I stayed because it was late at night and I was tired, if I had arrived earlier I would have left. This was my first time to stay at a Motel One, I will never stay at one again based on this place.
