Great hotel, clean, well kept, good service, great location. Breakfast was good and fresh but a poor value at 16EUR for fruit, pastries and coldcuts.
We loved staying at the Motel One at Karlsplatz. We had a clean room and it was quiet. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I will recommend this hotel to anyone I know visiting Vienna.
Clean hotel in a perfect location
This is my to go hotel in Vienna. It is clean, comfortable and conveniently located.
Great location, friendly staff, rooms need update soon, look tired.
Best hotel in Vienna.
Everything was great , just the bed was not comfortable. I were in few Motel ones in different countries and the bed was better than yours.
This Hotel is my reference one when in Vienna. Also this time it confirmed the quality for cleaning, staff kindness. Its central location is strateig both for work (the U1 and U4 are 5 min walking) and turism:5 min from the Stadtoper! Thanks and see you next time.
The only great thing is the location
Overall experience was good. Only the bed was to weak.
All over good, good service, polite staff, clean.
Overall the experience was good but the heating was not working efficiently in my room. I had to leave it on all the time just to keep the room warm which is obviously not great for the environment.
I was very pleased with every aspect of the property and staff. My room was very comfortable and on good condition. It was extremely quiet. I never heard any sounds from outside. I will definitely book again with Motel One when possible.
Alles top!
Great stay and friendly staff!
1. There was a lot of dust on the bamboo cage chandelier above. I accidentally bumped my head and a bunch of dust fell off. 2. I am very dissatisfied. I was only given a glass bottle of water when I stayed for two consecutive nights. I took the glass bottle and hoped that the service staff would refill it for me, but they actually had to charge me money. This is really unacceptable. 3. The Wifi signal is very poor. The signal is sometimes there and sometimes not. Even a message cannot be sent. 4. The water pressure in the bathroom is a little low 5. The friendly attitude of the counter staff is worthy of recognition
Perfect location , spotless rooms , staff very helpful, courteous and friendly will recommend highly.
every thing good, only WIFi was not strong
Not impressed with the rooms and conditions of the hotel - not same standard as basically any other Motel One. Location was great though
Very good location. Room was a little too small. A kettle should have been provided as a standard.
Superb location, attentive staff, wonderfully clean. I would recommend it without hesitation.
Even if we anounce to the reception that the window blind is not working and one of the sfaff come in our room to check the answer was that the “ maister” is not working at that time ( arround 8 pm ) - so we could not sleep well because was to much light from outside! The reception don’ t even try to change our room ! Second I’ m a membre One but my reservations was made true the site not following the One rules ….but at the check in it was nice if somebidy anounce me that I will not have the benefit of a member because i made the reservation on the site…..this is something which I don’ t understand
Perfect hotel. Super clean, new, bright ( with room darkening drapes if needed), quiet, perfect location (just a block from opera theatre and metro).
Hotel is VERY good, modern, warm, dry and clean. Room is spacious. Bed and pillows are also very comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect. Staff is also professional, attentive and helpful. Two minus points: the woman who checked us in (I believe she is called Mauda) was unfriendly. The breakfast does not have many healthy or fresh options. It consists of factory-produced food: cheese, cold cuts, white bread, sweet pastries, cornflakes, boiled eggs, tea, coffee and packaged juice.
We have been to this hotel several times. The hotel is pleasant, the rooms are a bit small...the location is excellent. The breakfast is a bit disappointing. I would prefer better quality coffee and more selection.
This was the second time I stayed at Motel One Staatsoper in Vienna. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and perfect for our needs. This time I stayed with my daughter and we had two cosy rooms which were very well appointed. We enjoyed breakfast and the bar in the evening. The reception area is very spacious and the hotel is brilliantly situated for most tourist attractions. We would definitely come again!
Alles prima!
Great Location, Friendly-Helpful staff -- BEST elevators of ALL Motel Ones (quantity, speed!!) - rarely had to wait unlike the many other Motel Ones I've stayed in. Need to fix Check-in process. There has to be a faster way to check people in- besides just self-check-in...which isn't great when you want to ask about another room selection!! Oh - and Self-Check-in doesn't appear to allow you to select your room.
I have always been impressed by the friendliness of the welcome received at the many Motel Ones I have stayed in. Berlin x 2, Koln, Basel, Hamburg and Edinburgh - perhaps more. I have to say I found the reception I received recently at Motel One Wien Stadtsoper the most unfriendly and off-putting ever. We decided on the spot not to take breakfast - a very welcome part of every previous stay in a Motel One hotel for me and treatyed our stay purely as a bed for the nights. Motel One remains my go-to hotel choice wherever I am travelling but I shall not return to Wien Stadtsoper.
This was my 5th time at this hotel, however, it should be noted that the service has become much worser. The bed linen was not changed for 7 days, neither the pillowcases nor the duvet cover, the water in the sink stagnated and the sink was not repaired either and big savings on toilet paper, not even refilled on time. However the price for the room on compare with my last stay was increased in 55-60%. The location of hotel is still the best point of this hotel. I really like the Motel One Staatsoper and I hope you will again improve some point room service and become better as in past.
Alles war bestens
Magda at the reception desk was particularly helpful in straightening out an error in my reservation.
Arrived late in the night. Check-in didn't work at all. IT system down. Had to wait 30 min to get a manuell check-in
Good price/value ratio at a great location.
Top!
All aspects of our stay was outstanding! We strongly suggest to re-educate and/or re-train Michelle at the Front Desk: she definitely needs to understand the importance & value of being polite and friendly to your guests - all the time, which she is not...otherwise all staff deserves five * !
I chose Motel One mostly because of its nearness to the Staatsoper. My room was small but enough for me. It was wonderfully quiet and neat. The breakfast was OK except that the room was rather crowded.
The hotel and staff were very good. My only criticism is that there is no kettle in the room so it was necessary to go and buy every drink as only one bottle of water between two people was provided at check in. Also other hotel guests are encouraged to smoke in the hotel doorway which is very unpleasant for non smoking guests as you have to walk through plumes of smoke when you come and go from the hotel.
Stayed for 3 nights, room 470, and very pleased with the experience. Room was well appointed and comfortable, with all necessary facilities. One minor criticism is that there was some staining on the bedroom wall and on the bedhead, which would benefit from attention, but these did not detract from our stay. All the staff we encountered were both professional and very personable and, of course, the hotel's location is second to none. Excellent value in an expensive town and would definitely stay here again.
I would like to repeat my very positive feedback on the people who work in the Motel One Staatsoper in Vienna. As a guest, it is really always a pleasure for me to come back almost every 2nd week. Your people are all very friendly, very kind and very professional - both at the reception and in the bar. You can be proud of your staff!!!
Very comfortable and well-appointed room. Reasonably priced. Excellent staff. Always friendly and very, very helpful. Nice breakfast and bar for a glass of wine in the evening. The Statsoper is an excellent location, too. I will recommend you to my friends.
A beautifully stylish hotel in a fantastic location that represents excellent value-for-money
Excellent stay
Alles optimal.
The staff was exceptionally good. However, I resent your cancellations policy. I understand that you need to protect yourself, but if I book for five days and need to leave a day early, and you are informed at the time of my arrival, it is unfair to charge me for the last night. It may prevent me from staying with you anther time.
Alles tip top!
Good hotel in a great location.
Clean, just for sleeping, very small rooms, grat location. The small rooms are unfit for working in. Tiniest dest and no chair
Nice rooms, clean and comfortable.
I was missing the scrambled eggs at the breakfast. In general breakfast was fine but -to be honest- I expected some scrambled eggs like usual in hotels. The table in the room was very small and there was no chair. I was in your hotel for a business trip and worked from the room, too. It was not really comfortable. In case for only doing sightseeing the table would be enough.
