Worst hotel i stayed. Always had a problem with reception.
The friendliness of the staff is amazing. We felt really comfortable. It's a great place for the money. Subway station right in front of the door so that you don't have to walk through problematic streets which are in the general area. The vegan breakfast options were alright but there wasn't much to choose from. I wish motel one would improve on that in the future.

Pleasant stay and staff
The bathroom was a bit too small. The air conditioning in the guest rooms struggled to cope with the high temperatures in Hamburg. The guest rooms and lobby were clean, and the staff were very friendly.

The hotel is ok, the bed is very comfortable and the staff is nice but I have stayed in 2 different rooms in the last 2 weeks and the first one the water in the shower was changing all the time, going from extremely hot to cold. In the second room the AC was not working properly.
The hotel staff is welcoming. Welcomes the guest with a warm smile. Helps in choosing the city tour destinations and convenient arrival times. The rooms are spacious enough. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is very rich and varied. The hotel itself should not be called a motel but at least a 3-star hotel.
Moderne voorzieningen en accommodatie, alles is heel prima. Een-persoons kamer klein beetje krap. Fijn de bar beneden, waar je steeds terecht kan. Mooi zou zijn als je ('s avonds) ook wat (meer) eetbaars kunt afhalen, anders dan chips of een broodje. Koffie, thee en water op de kamer is misschien nog een goede aanvulling. Zeer prettige sfeer!
Fine price, location ok, reception - not enough people to service in a timely manner
The reception staff was friendly and check-in went smoothly and fast. Room had a nice view, but was small. No kettle and tea making facilities, no bottled water. Breakfast had nice quality of the food, but the choice was dreadful - one of the poorest breakfasts I've ever experienced in Germany. From warm food - boiled eggs only. I actually didn't like it and won't be returning.
The best part of this hotel was its amazing access to the U-bahn. It was literally steps away.

Receiving you bill before check out was a bit odd
Staff were polite and efficient, room was comfortable with good value breakfast and convenient location
I was checked in a room somebody was already in; the room ha dreally small windows and water was kind of hot/cold, wifi was slow, breakfast had no sausages or ham and only boiled eggs
Everything was ok. I enjoyed the stay. just one recommendation: You can keep a first aid box at the reception, including a thermometer. My son got ill and I needed one, but the reception could not help. It is a small matter, hopefully not much needed, but in case of need helps a lot. But your service was excellent even with this minor issue. Thanks a lot.
Kettle?? I paid over 200€ I expect a kettle with ( obviously) complete tea or coffee making facilities to be in my room, and phone cast?? I'm sure I'm not the only British guest you've had and even though watching burnt the depressed bread is somewhat entertaining, I'd rather have casted my phone to the TV.
I want to commend the person who checked me in, (dark haired young woman), she only told me the floor out loud without saying the room number. This should be standard, as especially as a woman travelling alone, I don't want others around me to hear which room I am in. Please please please make this the standard in all your locations and with all your staff. She did a great job.
As always, Motel One was pleasant, staff were courteous and helpful, room was nice, bed comfortable. I like that, unlike other hotels at similar price, there is a nice lounge and bar and the bedrooms are serviced every day. A big downside for me, at this particular hotel, was there was no kettle, tea or coffre making facilities in the room. Other Motel Ines have had this. The hotel uses dynamic pricing and, presumably because I stayed over a bank holiday weekend, it was expensive for what was provided
An amazing location near to the Hbf but quiet, super reachable with the U-Bahn, everyone in the entrance was super nice, we needed to make a call at the reception and it was all super kind. Room was super clean, new and comfortable. I forgot something in the room and not sure ded to come back after my checkout. At the phone I had a super kind talk and arriving there I had the reception already waiting for me with my item 💕
This is my second Motel One I've been stayed at. Setup is the same, room is just enough and very clean. Only thing that could have been upgraded in the room are shower heads as there is really low pressure from those Hansgrohe rain ones. Accessibility to room, hotel was excellent. Parking is public but it has enough space for hotel guests. Breakfast options are huge and very good. All in all very pleasant stay in Motel One. Would recommend it
Great value for money, super efficient checkin/checkout without delay
Room was small, no tea or coffee making facilities in rooms, breakfast had no warm food offering and the breakfast space was overcrowded meaning it took a while to get food. Drinks at the bar were very expensive. Water pressure in the shower was very low.
Great location. Breakfast good, but very crowded at peak times. Hot water was not guaranteed, and this was frustrating at times. Overall, good value for the location.
Well-run hotel, comfortable rooms and a great bar which stays open till late. U-Bahn stop outside the door.

Staff were friendly and the local is good. However, the smell of sewage coming from the bathroom in the room was anything but pleasant.
Friendly staff. Unfortunately the room was very warm at night because the airco did not cool. Reported this the next morning to the reception, but it turned out no action had been taken.
Really poor experience for the reservation. Business trip, rooms were not booked or canceled due to poor communication in the team and bad reservation management
There was some hair in the room. A garbage can on the floor would have been nice. Also a small fridge to store some food/drinks would be good. The wifi was very slow. Aside from that it was alright.

Disappointed. A lot of building works going on, I couldn't open my window as that is where everyone congregated to have a cigarette break. I had a view of the waste skips for the building works currently going on in the hotel. The price was way too high for the building works going on and my room not being cleaned at all. The bed was made once in my 6 day stay, the dead fly on the window remained there until the day I left.... Really disappointed for a MotelOne, the others I have stayed at have always been great and friendly service. Unfortunately this was the odd one out. I would not stay in this MotelOne again. It was also noisy from early morning when work began.
It was as expected. Only issue I had was trying to make payment on your website on the day of check-in before arriving. Did not work. Had to call hotel and was reassured that bookijg is guaranteed till arrival.

We waren in de ochtend aangekomen toen waren er 2 mannelijke medewerkers daar aanwezig die totaal geen zin hadden om ons te helpen, omdat we geen creditcard bij zich hadden. Een kale man en een Turkse man polat heette hij volgens mij. Toen gingen we weg en n later kwamen we terug om toch nog wat te gaan vragen toen was een medewerker Jana heette zij als het goed is. Ze was zooo aardig ging ons helpen creditcard was niet eens nodig en ze ging ook nog met ons meedenken hoe we het beste kunnen boeken. Echt een top vrouw.
Keurig kamer, netjes, douche kan kamer 711 wat te koud. Thermostaat kraan werkt niet goed?
Allereerst een prettige manier van reserveren. Dit verliep via de mail omdat we met onze 4 kinderen 2 kamers dicht bij elkaar wilden reserveren. Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen we 2 geschakelde kamers aan het einde van een gang. Ideaal om met ons gezin te verblijven. De kamers waren heel schoon en de bedden uitstekend van kwaliteit. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en uitgebreid. De sfeer van de lobby/ontbijtruimte was prettig met veel groen buiten. Ook de locatie ten opzichte van het centrum was perfect. Kortom, een aanrader.
Ondanks de enorme drukte bleef het personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Prima kamer, prettig ontvangst door het personeel, fijn dat er een bar in het hotel was.
Zeer kleine kamer en een verschrikkelijk bed, je rolt er zo vanaf.

Hotel Hamburg-Alster
In de scènewijk St. Georg bevindt zich ons voordelige designhotel dat helemaal in het teken staat van de nabijgelegen Alster. De Binnen- en Außenalster bieden niet alleen plezier en ontspanning voor zeilers, kanovaarders en roeiers, de omliggende parken en jugendstilvilla's zijn ook voor wie niet van water houdt heel aantrekkelijk om lekker te flaneren en te ontspannen. Aan onze receptie leer je echter eerst de winterse kant van Hamburg kennen: een volksfeest op de dichtgevroren Alster bewijst dat het in de Hanzestad echt koud kan zijn. Lamellen van notenhout aan het plafond van de bar verwijzen naar de zachtgolvende Alster en accessoires zoals zeilboten, bootlichten en schipperspetten maken het maritieme designplaatje van het hotel compleet.
In het Motel One Hamburg-Alster overnacht je in een van de meest geliefde wooncomplexen van de stad. Stijlvolle straatkroegen, boetieken en niet in het minste de oever van de zijrivier van de Elbe nodigen uit tot relaxt slenteren.
Dankzij zijn centrale ligging zijn alle bezienswaardigheden van de stad vanaf het hotel gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Zo ligt de Mönckebergstraße, een van de belangrijkste winkelstraten van de Hanzestad, op maar een paar minuutjes wandelen. Het metro- en tramstation Berliner Tor en het metrostation Lohmühlenstraße zorgen voor de aansluiting op het openbaar vervoersnetwerk en liggen allemaal direct voor het hotel. En voor wie met de trein komt, is het misschien ook handig om te weten dat het centraal station van Hamburg op maar een paar 100 meter van het hotel ligt.
