Was made to feel very welcome from start to finish. Really excellent bar area, we ended up having a few drinks there each evening because of how nice it was and how friendly the staff were. Anton was the gentleman who checked us in and was very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed, sans an iron. Some furniture was showing signs of age and wear but these are minor nitpicks. Overall, we will absolutely be staying again when we are in Edinburgh and will be looking at other Motel One properties to stay at elsewhere

The hotel was in a great area, employed by May kind & helpful staff members, and had nice amenities! People seem proud of being a part of the team!

Very nice hotel in the middle of town. Lovely breakfast. Rooms clean and new. Bed comfy. Two of the 3 lifts didn't work but didn't impact us. All in all good place to stay.

Comfy beds and sheets, good shower, great location! We had an issue with A/C noise and Management was prompt to help make it better for us.

Amazing Hotel!
Good hotel overall if willing to stay in downtown Manhattan. The staff was very friendly from check in to check out. The rooms are quite small but clean and nicely furnished. The view is nice if looking West towards the WTC memorial. The AC is very noisy, so not recommended to sleep with it. The big plus for me was the breakfast: a large variety of yummy options included making each morning delicious and different every day. The big minus for me were some essentials missing: no hair conditioner, cotton tips or pads, actual glasses to drink (not paper cups) or a water bottle. All are pretty standard in most hotels and would have been appreciated.
Great location, especially if you are travelling into Edinburgh by train. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms and hotel were clean and bright.
Nice hotel well situated. Rooms a bit on the small side however adequate.The room decor was very nice and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a brilliant large walk in shower. Disappointed that the room I was allocated had no view (level 1 room 5) only a view of the brick wall of the station next door.The tv also only had 3 channels to view which i pointed out to the reception staff.
The location of this hotel is perfect to visit Dublin on foot ! A special thanks to Stacy and Dane for the welcome, and to Paloma for the good addresses. We highly recommend this hotel.

the lounge and working spaces are exceptional and a nice little oasis at the somewhat crowded and busy alexanderplatz in berlin. the rooms are standard motel one which is a good thing. i really like the design of the chain.
Excellent location. Lovely bar & lounge. Very good continental breakfast. Staff friendly. Comfortable room, bed was comfortable but we both felt we could roll off the sides of the bed as they dipped down. The only complaint was the piped music in the bar and lounge which was particularly loud and so it was difficult to have a conversation - when we asked Reception they advised that there wasn’t anything they could do about the volume as it was controlled by Germany!

I very much enjoyed staying at Motel One. It was very clean, comfortable and the location was very convenient for walking to the train station, the university, the stadium, shopping, etc. The only drawback that I experienced was a lack of drawer space in the room for keeping folded clothes.

So convenient from Glasgow Central. Rooms may be small but have tea and coffee, hairdryer and shampoo and body wash. All very important. The free large bottle of water was very welcome. Staff were fabulous, very professional and friendly, breakfast was great and the bar was well stocked. Free luggage storage was a big plus. So why not at 10? This is not anything the hotel could chance I’m sure, but the relentless boom boom boom of a nearby nightclub didn’t end until 2am. Our friends staying at the other side of the hotel didn’t hear anything.

This is the second Motel One I've stayed in. The hotel is in a fantastic location to explore the city of Manchester. We were in town to see a concert at the CoOp Live arena- it was so easy to get there by tram and decided to walk back afterwards which was also so easy! We stayed for three nights and found plenty to do within walking distance. The hotel has a beautifully designed lobby. Boasting a fantastic bar with a welcoming and relaxed vibe. It smells lovely too! The rooms have everything you'd expect from a great hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Easy check in and check out. They were also able to store our luggage at check out so we could enjoy the rest of the day before our evening train home! I will definitely be staying again!
perfectly situated, efficient front desk, well maintained rooms
The room was very clean and staff friendly but I slept bady due to thumping bass from one of the many bars in the area. I was kindly put at the back and on the 7th floor but still it was impossible to sleep until the noise stopped at around 2.30am and then I had to be awake early so had little sleep. Felt bad for the rest of the day. Maybe the hotel should issue earplugs given that the city centre is always so full on.

My stay was really good. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. In my opinion, there are two topics where the hotel could improve. First, there should be more variations and options in breakfast. I think breakfast wasn't that good and it was same menu on the two days I stayed. Secondly, I understand that hotel is contributing towards sustainability. However, it would be nice to ask the traveler if they would need toothpaste. It would be really great.
Clean place and great located, very good breakfast, the staff were kind and available. I missed a small refrigerator and a hot pot for coffee, don't know about the rest of the rooms but mine was pretty tight but comfortable.
With my wife and daughter, we're always staying in Motel One hotels for our short visits in European cities. Once more, it was a very nice and easy experience. Thanks.
the fire alarm went off in the early hours of the morning, for no real reason, causing panic and despair among the guests
Good hotel in central position. Clean room, good bed, practically no other furniture in the room. Italian TV not available. Smal but good bathroom. Good breakfast but no private table available. To do breakfast on a armchair is very unconfortable
Just what I expected from previous visits. Comfy room, calm ambiance and good continental breakfast. Would use again and recommend.
The location of this hotel is excellent. The staff are beyond helpful and the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Highly recommend
I would love to have more newspapers for the breakfast. It was great that "Presse am Sonntag" was available at least

Great place ! Unfortunately, although the room price was significantly increased for the marathon weekend, we were not allowed to take a shower before driving back home (400km). The narrow-minded attitude of the reception manager was quiet disappointing.
Everything very good except for bad service at the bar from one particular person. He closed the bar sooner then he should and really just didn´t feel like working anymore. Went to the back and it looked like he was hiding so we couldn´t order anything.
excellent location, although some noise on a saturday night in the locale. Friendly and helpful front desk staff, the bar team also. the room was ok..a little small for the ££ would have liked a bath, not just a shower: but shower worked well (plenty of hot water)
- rooms, check in and checkout perfect and easy - not enough room for breakfast on sunday morning - we were asked if we needed our rooms to be cleaned and we said no; 2 of 3 rooms were cleaned anyway - chief of staff in bar on evenings not friendly and not organized; waiters in bar very friendly, helpful and efficient
quality of breakfast (food and location), ruined the experience, that was already not great (high price paid for a small room with tiny window)
Room small but adequate. Very much missed access to free tea and water most hotels provide. Ceiling low on one side of the room and bumped into it a few times.
We have stayed here on numerous occasions, and have never had 1 complaint. This 2 day stay was well below the standard we are used to. The water in the sink wasn't draining away. The heating wasn't working... And we had trouble to get the TV to work... Even after asking at reception there was no solution 😕 and have u changed mattresses? Ours was brick hard and never slept the 2 nights. Then there was the noise... Banging constantly left right and centre. And lastly our. Smoke alarm was covered in a dirty sock... Photo attached. Hairdryer is brilliant though Absolutely gutted at this review as all my others have been excellent. Hopefully just a 1 off experience.
