Really great service, and what you are paying for. The room was clean although I would recommend having pillow protectors as the pillows were pretty stained.
The check in process is smooth and easy. The entire staff is extremely helpful and inviting. The room was well maintained and extremely comfortable. The location is close to Waverley Station and right on the Royal Mile.
After my second visit in a week I’ve come to the conclusion that the hotel is luxury without any frills! No drinks in the room, no main meal options and a very limited breakfast accompanied with luxurious surroundings.
Friend efficient staff. Clean and quiet room. Good breakfast.

From Start to finish I was impressed with welcome I received from Steven Wright. Steven took time to answer questions that I posed regarding the different rooms which were available which in turn helped me select the type that suited me on this occasion. Checking in and becoming a member was made simple as Steven did all that for me. I am a proud Glaswegian and good to know when people visit the city there first impression will be to met by people of Stevens calibre. He is a great Ambassodor for the City and your company. I am not a relative and I have never met Steven before. I will certainly be back and have passed on my experience to many of my friends Regards Bryan Watson
I would say that the property was good in terms of providing a basic place to sleep and the communal areas were very modern and the hotel was clean. However, the room was very dated, the shower weak and it generally not leaving a very positive impression except for a very quick 1 night stay.
Wery good location. Nice Hotel. Breakfast is good, to many people, in a too small Area. Nice staff, all around a wery nice stay. We would like to come again 🇩🇰. Regards Morten
Great hotel, great location. Really liked the relaxed atmosphere and the super friendly staff. A few feedbacks. Arrival worked like a charm. However, after check-in, we realised that you reserved 130 EUR too much on my credit card. It was corrected after contacting the reception, but still not super comfortable that I had to notice myself. At check-in we were asked if we wanted daily cleaning. We said no, as we really appreciate the initiative of saving water and energy on daily cleaning. However, we had the room cleaned every day and the towels changed. A shame it was not followed through, and we mentioned in on departure. The atmosphere in the lounge, reception and breakfast area is great and feels "homey". The breakfast area was very busy though, and an extra coffee machine and a bit better logistics around the food counter could make a huge difference.
Too expensive for the service and rooms very small. Breakfast very cheap and too much time to be served. Very small portiong for the juice and one you ask for one more you have to pay. The european motel one service is much better.
Jason (bar) provided excellent customer service skills and professional, while being kind, considerate and friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
Staff was really kind and available. However the room quality is disappointing, taking into account the high price we've paid. Room is very small, air conditioning system is so poor that even enabled at max level in 1h it was hot and unbreathable in the room. Opening windows is not an option, because of an extremely noisy road. Noise level coming from the hotel hallway is horrible, we could hear cleaning ladies doing vacuum cleaning, other clients slapping the doors. We could also hear every word of everyone passing in the hallway, which was constant (I precise, our room door was obviously closed). We had pretty bad nights and even during the day, when we were back to the room to relax for a hour or two - it was impossible due to noise. Also, if we are not mistaken, we've booked a room with a view. How disappointed we were, finding out that the view is actually a tree in front of our window and nothing more. Our experience in REC hotel last year was way more pleasant and less expensive (we've been there in october as well).

I try to stay at Motel One when I am in Newcastle (almost every week, with work). The staff are welcoming and the environment is restful and tastefully designed. Also, it makes a real difference to arrive at a hotel where the reception staff remember my name. :)
The stay itself was great but the system and technology problems, and the customer service afterwards, are at unacceptable level for a hotel that charges €300+ / night. I chose to pay for on site, as offered via Hotels.com. The reception staff then ask me if I wanted my receipt printed or via email on which I, for sustainability reasons, chose email. I never received the receipt that I need for business expenses so I sent them an email on the 15/10 when I was back in Stockholm. Five days later, no answer. I call the hotel and waited for 55 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. No answer. I then sent a second email following up since I didn’t get any response. No answer. I call them up again the following day where they found my booking and confirmed that they would send me an email with the receipt and that it would arrive in a few minutes. Two days later, still no receipt. Today (22/10), I then called the hotel again to follow up again and if they could send it and this time they said that they couldn’t help me since my confirmation number that I got from Hotels.com was incorrect. For ’rules they have to follow’ they didn’t want to help me out to solve the situation and just referred me to wait for an email response of which they couldn’t give me any expected response time for. But since it’s now 12 days since the first email, I assume it might be weeks, if at all… I’m very disappointed. As a regular business traveler to Hamburg, I will not come back to this hotel and I’ll also not recommend my colleagues to book a stay here either. Subpar service.
This hotel has the best location. It was clean and modern with friendly, helpful staff and a great bar to unwind after a busy day.
The two Asian and European women at the reception need to learn what a good customer service look like and stop being rude with costumers. At the very first time of checking in one of them had an attitude when I asked if I can check in early. I was respectful when I asked that and she was very rude and disrespectful when answering and told me rudely to leave and come back at check in time. I don’t care about the check in time all I cared about is that she can say it nicely. Also, the Asian reception woman also talked to me rudely the next day when I asked for my room to be cleaned. Her answer and the way she raised her voice on me made a scene at the lobby and the people next to me where looking and it was very embarrassing and when I explained the situation to her and she understood that she made the mistake of not understanding what I was saying she didn’t even apologize. The same woman also when checking out and I asked for my bags to be stored and picked up later she ignored me and started to talk to a person behind me. Never coming back to this hotel again and will never recommend it to anyone.
Good location and pleasant rooms. Comfortable beds and lovely white towels. Would have loved a kettle in the room!
Our room was not serviced the first day day we visited. We had to go to the desk to ask for housekeeping to clean our bathroom, replace towels and service our room. Also, the room does not have a written instruction sheet about how to easily contact the front desk by phone when/if the need arises. It would be nice if rooms had a small pad of paper and pen or pencil to jot notes as needed.
this email was sent in German, which I do not speak and that is the first improvement. Send emails in English to foreign guests! The stay was positive. I would improve the room by having a kettle in the room for a warm drink. Everything else was very positive.
Room, staff and breakfast were great. The only issue during our stay was that noise from the bar carried through the building (design issue with external glass?), but thankfully wasn’t too late into the evening.
From receiption/check in our stay was lovely. Staff was friendly and efficient moving us along as tired travellers. We'll be back

The location of the hotel is excellent. Rooms are tidy, bed very comfortable, breakfast tasty, staff friendly. Price is a bit high…
Excellent stay, really helpful reception team, they allowed us to book bags in ahead of check in (we were early into Manchester) and then accommodated an early check in as well ie as soon as the room was available. this allowed us to get rid of baggage and enjoy an afternoon and evening in Manchester. Facilities are also excellent including the bar area, rooms large and well equipped and everything was clean and tidy. the hotel is also conveniently located for city centre Manchester. First class hotel :-)
As before, love staying here - beds really comfortable. Some rooms and bathrooms are bigger than others but the desk is sufficient for a lap top.

The hotel was really nice, people was friendly, it’s in a great location and the room was clean. What makes me upset is that I paid extra for a “city view”, and the view I got was a building in front of my window.
I would prefer an area suitable for eating breakfast rather than sitting in a low chair more suitable for a lounge/bar area. The area where the breakfast amenities were served was 'open' for people to learn over very unhygienic! People were also queueing at different areas e.g. tea, coffee which caused a 'bottle neck' in the area where the food was been served.

Excellent place to stay. Perfect location. Great atmosphere around area. Felt very safe. Great foyer. Very reasonable drink prices from bar. Great room. Well worth upgrading to room with a view.
Beautiful property with very relaxed atmosphere. We were so happy to be able to check in early. Had a cpl drinks in the 6th floor bar and also enjoyed them on the terrace. Bed was very comfortable. Wide selection of channels on the TV. Upscale soap and bathing products. We only stayed one night, but a great place to stay after an eleven day journey and flying home the next day.

Clean, Quiet Hotel. Staff was friendly and well organized. Hotel did not offer parking, but there is a lot a half a block away.
Requested a room on floor 8. It is hard to sleep when it is noisy. First room assigned was #500 which was directly over the busy motorway. Went back to the front desk and was assigned a room on floor 5 right by the loading area. Still noisy but better. Since I was staying for 7 nights, the room location was very important. What is the point of room requests if the front desk doesn't look at them? The breakfast people are wonderful! Very friendly and professional, especially the one gentleman with short gray hair. He is the BEST.
Excellent location with easy walking access to train station, Royal Mile and shopping district. Great bar area and good value breakfast. Accommodation is basic but very clean and comfortable.
Modern room with comfortable bed. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They found us a room having arrived early. The only negative is the noise level, you can hear normal conversations on the next room and sounds coming from the hallway are loud.

Nice hotel good location very modern Nightmare to find the car park so had to park elsewhere The room quite small but nice. Could do with proper cups/mugs in the room rather than throwaway cups. Tv and USB great, shower good WiFi in the room worked well and quick
Score of 8 due to room on Saturday being noisy. However.. the score would have been a lot lower if it wasn't for the fantastic way that staff dealt with the issue in a professional and genuine manner (on the night and also the next morning). There is a wider issue in this venue that the rooms at the back overlook the station infrastructure and there is a club that has very loud vibration and noise until 0200. Although I have stayed here in the past, I've always had a room at the front and so wasn't aware of it. Sadly checking in at 2300 Saturday didn't exactly give me a great choice of rooms or the ability to move much. I know it isn't economically great, but I would consider not selling rooms at the back until the noise issue is sorted (or offering at a low rate).
Myself & my daughter had a fantastic stay at Motel One.. the professionalism & friendliness of all the staff was top class.. the room was beautiful, so clean..Definitely be back.. have not One negative thing to say...thank you so much.. a memorable visit to Barcelona..

We arrived on a very wet Sunday afternoon and we were lucky enough to be able to check in early which was really appreciated because we were drenched. Staff were warm and friendly. We were able to store our luggage after check out which was hugely helpful given how close the hotel is to Central station. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Very reasonable price.
Overall, the hotel isn’t bad. The location is perfect, and the bar is excellent. The room was fine in general, but it was disappointing that it didn’t match the pictures shown when booking. The photo online shows a corner room with a wider window and better view, while the one I got had a much smaller window. Also, the room looks much larger in the photos than it actually is. The pillows were quite uncomfortable — one was too hard, the other too soft — so there was no middle ground, and I didn’t sleep completely well. However, the most disappointing part was the breakfast. It was very expensive for what it was: just bread, cereals, ham, and cheese. What bothered me the most were the hard-boiled eggs, which weren’t even peeled — you had to do it yourself, which is inconvenient and time-consuming, especially when breakfast should be quick and easy. It honestly felt like a joke. At the very least, they should offer scrambled eggs, and the menu really needs more protein options. I was expecting at least some sausages or bacon. All in all, I would stay here again because of the great location and nice bar, but I’d definitely have breakfast somewhere else next time.

Such a lovely find in the heart of Glasgow downtown. It was what I needed for a quick recharge from traveling and exploring the bigger cities and touristy attractions.
Very friendly staff, hotel clean throughout and room comfortable. On site parking really helpful, but access to the hotel with road closures and blocked roads was hard. Stopping on double yellows with curb markings in order to get parking fob was nerve racking, given councils fondness for cameras. That aside, location perfect and great value and generous options for breakfast
Door didn’t lock, bathroom door forced closed, awful smell of drains in the bathroom, TV didn’t work
Unfortunately the experience was very negative. We found underwear in our room, obviously the room was not cleaned properly. I asked for a different room and unfortunately there the heating was not working properly. We received a removable heater but and the staff was nice but overall it was a very disappointing experience.
