While we appreciated the location, the lounge area and the breakfast service very much, we were dissatisfied with our room. I had booked two city view Comfort rooms with a King size bed for the beginning and end of our visit to Edinburgh. However, for our first stay, which was two nights, we were assigned a small, dark, sparsely furnished, wheelchair accessible room with a Queen size bed. There were no luggage racks, no bathroom counter space, no hand towel bar, and a sink that was so low the water splashed all over the floor when washing your face. Lastly, the window view was a light well, not the city view we had booked. We will be arriving May 18-19 for our second stay and rather than canceling I would like to give them a second chance, but I will be bringing this up with reception at check-in. I hope they will see to making things right. If not, this property will be receiving an honest review on Google and Expedia.
Location, breakfast, bed comfort, room facilities & staff all perfect.
Our stay was remarkable. The staff was kind and helpful. The space was well maintained and comfortable, and the amenities exceeded expectations. Would CERTAINLY join again.

We loved this hotel. We had an early flight, so dropping our bags off at the hotel in a secure location with a ticketing system was reassuring and allowed us to explore the city until our room was ready. The hotel is in a quiet location and the room was very comfortable. If it had a kettle in the room, it would be perfect. Service was slow at the bar, we wanted to order food one evening, but the waiter ignored us so we left and went to a nearby restaurant. The breakfast in the morning though was outstanding! Regardless of the bar, we would definitely stay again.

I have stayed various times in your hotel and like to stay there when i visit Manchester. this time it was even better than always as I was lucky that Ginerva was in reception and helped me with registering on the site to become a member, so i can book directly with you and was extremely helpful with all my queries and needs. The motel one is central and very easy to reach anywhere in Manchester.
A very good hotel that I have stayed in several times because of its proximity to the Staatsoper.
I had a great stay. The location was very good, nice and friendly Staff. Nice, clean and big rooms for a good price. A mini fridge in the room would have been nice, but other than that i didnt miss anything.

Good value for money, central location, bed v comfy, great shower, v clean, not huge room but big enough- compact. Nice inviting bar/relaxing area in the lobby.
2nd time staying here and just as fab as the first! We got a free upgrade of our room and it was stunning! Staff were friendly and the rooms nice and clean, will be back next time we’re in Glasgow!

I stayed at your hotel with my wife between the dates of 8 and 13 May 2025. I am a person who travels to Europe frequently due to my job and I used to prefer Motel One if there was one in European cities. But I don't know if I will prefer it from now on because the heating system in your hotel was not working. When we went down to the reception, they said that since the season was temporary, they put it in summer mode and therefore the air conditioning only gave cold. We had a very hard time in the evenings, especially in Berlin, since the temperature dropped to 3-4 degrees at night in May. After a nice Berlin tour, it was very difficult to go to a freezing room and try to sleep under the covers all night and try to warm up, so I don't think I will stay at your hotel again, at least in winter and spring and autumn, maybe in summer I can give it another chance. I will also add a comment like here to Google comments. Best

Hotel was lovely and staff were great too, very helpful and polite. The rooms were basic but very clean and had everything you needed.
Wonderful stay in Cologne! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well located, just a short walk from the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had a great variety. Would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is showing its age and is in need of renovation. The bathroom, in particular, no longer meets the standards of other Motel One hotels. Therefore, the Nordic price is unreasonable against other locations. I also found the breakfast overpriced. WLAN is to slow and no TV channels are available, only App's!
Only shortcoming was check-in. Not enough staff (2) and a queue out the front door. We understand it was a busy week, but someone had to know you had a lot of bookings.

I must immediately praise their proactive approach, namely..we had reserved a room for 4 (2 adults and 2 children). When we arrived, they assigned us one room, with a double bed. We asked at the reception how we should be accommodated - of course, accommodation for four is not possible in such a room - and they immediately assigned us two connecting rooms. The upgrade was not charged, because there was obviously a mistake in their system. The rooms, bedding, and the rest are very clean. The beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, the breakfast is very, very basic. My wife is a vegetarian, so apart from a spread or two, and cucumbers and tomatoes, she didn't have much choice. OK, there were also yogurts and sweet pastries, but for vegetarians, this is not exactly the first choice. On the other hand, there were 5 or 6 types of salami to choose from. Completely unbalanced. The hotel does not offer fried eggs, which I think is the basis of every hotel. They were only soft-boiled, which in my case is never a choice. In short...the breakfast could have been much better. Overall: 9/10
Lovely clean comfortable rooms and great pillows. Would really love to have had proper cups for tea/coffee and also bedside shelves. Everything else was perfect. Thank you.

Clean comfortable hotel. Quiet room. Comfortable bed. Tea/,coffee in the room. Very convenient to station and city centre. Free buses from station to shopping areas. Staff helpful and polite. Magnifying mirror on bathroom wall excellent idea but was a bit loose, but no doubt easily fixed. Didn't eat at hotel so can't comment on food
Once again we had a really wonderful time at Motel One Princes and we surely come back next time when we will travel to Edinburgh again

Great location next to the train station and walkable to many points of interest! Breakfast buffet was very complete, and best of all the price was more than reasonable.

Love staying here. Right in the heart of Edinburgh. Clean , functional rooms. Comfy beds. Tasty buffet breakfast. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
We stay at this hotel twice a year we like the location and this time was offered an upgrade at a small price it was better as the rooms are very small as we stay for 3 nights or more. I know its a hotel that is environmental but I do not like the paper cups in the room they are unpleasant to drink from and also dangerous as they are too hot without a handle but overall we still like staying here and the price is usually good.
We enjoyed our stay in Motel One Water Amsterdam-Waterlooplein. Due to the good hotel location, we were able to explore Amsterdam on foot. The reception staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations what to see and do in the city centre. The room was nice and clean. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will make my bookings in it again when visiting Amsterdam again.

We paid 400€ per night, the room was nice however it would have been nice to have some water or glasses and something to put the tab water in as it was apparently drinkable but no one told us. Also a cattle and tea/coffee facilities would have been good.

A very special mention to Nicolas at breakfast what a gem! He can teach more of the team to smile especially reception. Location is great. With the high charges over fairs, there should be a bottle of water in the room. It would also be good for some light voile curtains for some privacy in the room when curtains are opened for natural light or when opening the windows for some fresh air.
