Great location and rooftop bar, friendly staff
The martini I ordered at the bar tasted good but was not served in a martini glass chilled and was served with ice, rather than being chilled with ice but served without the ice... and there was no olive. there was no refrigerator in my room, nor was there tea or instant coffee.
Amazing weekend in Barcelona with motel one everything was great highly recommended definitely will back to this motel
We always have a brilliant time at Motel One. We can never get the tv working properly, but, that in no way makes our stay anything but excellent.

My 1st comment is regarding Hotel's response to my email. I left my phone adaptor in the room 252, when i checked out on 22.04.25. I asked to keep it for me to be collected by my relative. But, no answer from hotel. I was not sure that the given room was 16 sqm, as i was booked and paid. Receptionist said room 252 is 17 sqm, which didn't look like. Heating / cooling system in the room wasn't working properly. I had to keep window open and it was noisy at night. Breakfast was poor compared to other Motel one's in different cities.

Generally positive experience. However, few things that we missed during our stay: - No bar fridge in the room - No water boiler - the bed is bit small - the service in the lobby could have been friendlier, the waitress was very rude! The waiters though were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is fine but we ended up in easily the noisiest room I've ever been in. Constant creaking from above which we assumed would stop but continued from 7am onwards and we could not sleep on after a late night. Also thr therm didn't work so room was too warm. When we informed desk at check out we were just told we should have said something earlier

Excellent all around! I just wish there were some little extras such as body cream, nespresso machine or a kettle in the room and maybe a few more little snack options for late night. But these are small things, the location, staff and aesthetic were amazing and I would come back here on my next trip without question!

Everything was very good. Especially I liked the peaceful location of the hotel near canal and Isar river. Connections to the city center were excellent. Breakfast was delicious and staff really nice and friendly. The room was a bit small but still ok for 2 persons.
Excellent location right in the centre of Edinburgh. 5 mins from both the train station and Princes Street. Situated on Cockburn Street gave you access to many small shops and restaurants which was really nice. Room was spacious and very clean. Toilet facilities were immaculate. Continental breakfast in the morning was fresh and plentiful set up in the bar area was relaxing and very enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful at both reception and restaurant area.All in all would definitely use this hotel again or it’s sister hotel which is located just off Princes street next to the Apple Shop.
I would add a small fridge in the room, some shampoo in the bathroom and some food in the 24hs bar.
It was a good experience. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. I will definitely come back here anytime I’m in Manchester and need a hotel to stay in.
I stayed at this hotel recently and had an incredibly disturbing experience. At 4 AM, the fire alarm went off, waking up everyone in the building. That was already bad enough, but what truly shocked me was the complete lack of organisation or adherence to basic safety procedures. There was no clear communication from the staff about what was happening. No one directed guests to exits or gave updates. People were left standing around, confused and concerned for their safety. There were no staff members visibly helping or guiding guests through the evacuation process, and no confirmation that it was a false alarm or a real emergency. For a hotel to be this unprepared for an emergency is unacceptable. I expected much better from a place that claims to care about its guests. If you value your safety and peace of mind while traveling, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS A COUPLE FIGHTING IN THE CORRIDOR - RUNNING BACK AND FORTH, SCREAMING, SHOUTING ETC. 23:00 / 01:30 / 04:00 SO A REALLY BAD SLEEP. NOT WHAT I NEEDED FOR A SITE MEETING @ 08:30
Good place , supportive staff , good connectivity to city , few restaurants and shopping places around , rooms should have kettle and tea coffee arrangements. Breakfast is good and service from the staff is excellent

Extremely friendly staff and the hotel was definitely more beautiful in person. Very clean too. It was perfect for a short trip, i was very pleased. Overall it was worth going to, I’d visit again. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is situated in a great area and is close to both the Ilac centre and Jervis shopping centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Small but nice rooms! Comfortable bed! Plenty of electrical outlets. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, and the water temperature fluctuated a bit. The most annoying thing was that the bathroom door would NOT stay open unless we put something in front of it. We loved the corner room, with 3 windows! The breakfast buffet was overpriced, so we will skip that during our next stay. Parking under the hotel and across the street.

Perfect location, clean rooms with everything you need. Good price and great hotel bar that stays open until 2am. Didn't eat in the hotel the passed the buffet breakfast in the lobby and it looked very nice too, overall an excellent stay!

The hotel is well located and has good facilities. The room should have a television with free access to Danish and other countries' channels. Breakfast should have more variety.
Reception staff very welcoming and helpful, special mention to Alexandra . Bar food limited and item tried not of great quality .
Lovely hotel and great value for money. Staff was friendly and location is quite centric. Only comment would be to include some coffee and tea in the rooms to make for a comfortable stay.

Excellent central location. Great bar, open late, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Room was not equipped with hairdryer but one was made available upon request. Bed was very comfortable but pillows weren't great. Overall we were impressed. Will definitely recommend to others and will most likely stay here again. Thanks

Very friendly and courteous staffs in all hotel areas. I had left valuable jewelry in the room safe if I left, which was then returned to me with confidence. That was really great!
I didn't end up staying here due to payment issues. There was no option for my employer to pay for the room and I did not have the means at the moment to foot the bill. The online payment system was down, there was no option for over the phone, and it took 2 hours to ultimately not resolve the issue and having to book another hotel on the fly and stay somewhere else.
If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in Barcelona that’s still within walking distance of the city's main attractions—especially the enchanting Old Town—One Motel is a fantastic choice. Tucked away from the city's hustle and bustle, the location strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which set the tone for a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was lovely, with fresh options to start the day, though we would have appreciated a bit more variety over the course of our visit. Our room was practical and comfortable, with very good mattresses that made for restful nights—at least when the window was closed. Unfortunately, we had a room facing the inner courtyard, and keeping the window open at night proved difficult due to noise from the air conditioning units. If you're a light sleeper, we definitely recommend requesting a street-facing room. Despite that minor drawback, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The overall experience, especially the quiet yet central location and the warm hospitality, made it a great base for exploring Barcelona. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. But next time, with a room facing the street.
Thank you for the service, I am very satisfied with the place and the service, we didn't stay long in the hotel, but the equipment is perfectly fine, there is only a little place to store clothes - it doesn't need a classic wardrobe, just a little deeper shelves and more shelves.. but I assume that the guest profile is 1-3 days' stay and those guests do not carry a lot of things.. good job anyway :)
Everyone needs a Pablo on their front desk, he is polite, friendly and takes an interest in you as a guest. The room was clean and one of the good things about it is, it has the option of actually opening the window which is rare in hotels now. Would quite like the option of having an iron in the room.
