Organiser, participants, and participation
The contest is organised by Motel One GmbH. Tegernseer Landstraße 165, 81539 Munich (hereinafter referred to as Motel One). The contest is open to all individuals over the age of 18. This excludes employees of Motel One and their relatives. Only one entry per person is permitted for the prize. Failure to comply with any of the rules will lead to the exclusion of the participant from the contest. Similarly, any attempted manipulation will result in exclusion from the contest.
Contest period and prizes
The contest starts on 28 March 2024 at 8 am and ends on 04 April 2024 at midnight. The entry deadline is 04 April 2024 at 23:59 pm.
The competition takes place in all Motel One hotels in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Hotels of the brand The Cloud One Hotels are excluded. The prizes will be raffled off among all travellers checking in on 30 March 2024.
Further prizes will be raffled off via the beOne newsletter. To take part, the recipient must click on the picture of an Easter egg in the newsletter dated 28 March 2024. By clicking, the terms and conditions of participation are confirmed and the person clicking is automatically entered into the prize draw. Participation in the prize draw requires a beOne membership. Clicks received by 23:59 on 04 April 2024 will be taken into account.
Below an overview of the prizes and the prize transfer:
- In the hotels
20 main prizes: Voucher for two nights in a double room incl. breakfast in a Motel One of your choice. The voucher can be redeemed until 31st December 2024, subject to availability and outside of trade fair and event periods. The voucher cannot be redeemed for cash.
The prize notification will be placed in the guest's room in the form of a postcard. To receive the prize, the guest must contact marketing@motel-one.com by email with the subject "Ostergewinn". In addition, the hotel name and room number of the respective stay as well as the private address are required. The voucher will then be sent by post. The details cannot be changed once they have been sent in. If the data is not sent within 14 days of notification of the prize, the claim to the prize will be forfeited. In the event that the prize cannot be delivered, Motel One is not obliged to make any further enquiries; in this case, there is no entitlement to the prize.
1,460 secondary prizes: voucher for up to two glasses of Prosecco or soft drinks at the respective hotel bar. The number of drinks depends on the room occupancy. Cash payment and changes to the prize are not possible.
The prize notification will be placed in the guest's room in the form of a postcard. In order to receive the prize, the guest must hand in the postcard at the respective hotel bar, stating the room number. The voucher can only be redeemed at the hotel where the guest has booked the stay and expires on the guest's individual check-out date.

The winners will be notified by Motel One by email. The email address used to click on the Easter egg image in the newsletter will be used for this purpose. The winners will be asked to provide their private address so that the voucher can subsequently be sent by post. The details cannot be changed once they have been sent in. If the data is not sent within 14 days of notification of the prize, the claim to the prize will be forfeited. In the event that the prize cannot be delivered, Motel One is not obliged to make any further enquiries; in this case, there is no entitlement to the prize.
All winners will be selected at random from all participants and travellers.
Disclaimer/changes to the eligibility requirements
Motel One assumes no liability for the availability of the Motel One website. Motel One assumes no liability for any potential transmission errors.
Premature termination of and changes to the contest
Motel One reserves the right to terminate or change the contest without prior notice at any time if the correct implementation of the contest cannot be guaranteed for technical or other reasons or if the fairness of the contest appears to have been compromised. Participants will not derive any claims from such events.
Other provisions
There shall be no recourse to legal action. Participants will have no enforceable claims to the prize or redemption thereof in cash. These eligibility requirements and the entire legal relationship between the participant and Motel One are governed exclusively by German law. Should individual clauses of the eligibility requirements be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses will remain unaffected.
Final clause
This contest is not affiliated with Instagram. It is in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Instagram. Any information submitted by participants is received not by Instagram but by Motel One. All submitted information is used for the sole purpose of conducting the contest. The participants release Instagram from any liability that may result from claims arising from the contest (in particular, its publication and organisation). Any questions, comments or complaints about the contests shall be directed to Motel One and not Instagram.
Privacy policy
The personal data of all participants will be treated in strict confidence unless and until consent to publish is provided and shall, under no circumstances, be disclosed to third parties. To be entitled to their prize, the winner must declare their acceptance to Motel One within 14 days and submit all data required for announcing the winner. The prize cannot be changed nor redeemed for cash. Prize claims are not transferable.
We collect the names and email addresses of all participants and store them for the purpose of determining a winner. All data is deleted within 30 days of the end of the contest. We only collect address data from the winners for the sole purpose of dispatching their prizes. Address data will only be collected from the winner of the hotel voucher. We do not disclose any data to third parties.
By accepting the present conditions of participation and privacy policy, the participant gives their consent to the use of their data as described above. Participants are legally entitled to access, modify and withdraw the data stored about them.
