Participants and participation
The contest is open to all individuals over the age of 18. This excludes employees of Motel One and Gasteig (Munich) and their relatives. Only one entry per person is permitted for the prize. Failure to comply with any of the rules will lead to the exclusion of the participant from the contest. Similarly, any attempted manipulation will result in exclusion from the contest.
Contest period and prizes
The contest starts on 21 December 2022 at 8 am and ends on 1 January 2023 at midnight. The entry deadline is 1 January 2023 at midnight.
Participants take part by answering the competition question on the Motel One competition page and clicking ‘participate’.
The two winners will each receive a voucher for a two-night stay, including breakfast, in a double room at Motel One Munich-Deutsches Museum. The voucher can be redeemed until 31 December 2023, subject to availability and outside of trade fair and event periods. The voucher cannot be redeemed for cash. Travel is not part of the prize and must be arranged by the winner.
The two winners will also receive two complimentary tickets from Gasteig (Munich). The vouchers are valid until 31 December 2023. The vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash. Any remaining value will expire. The vouchers will be redeemed in coordination with the assistant to Gasteig’s management team via Motel One. Motel One will pass on the winner’s contact details to the assistant to Gasteig’s management team in order to issue the vouchers.
Winners will be selected at random from among the entries. To claim their prize, winners must declare their acceptance to Motel One within 72 hours and submit all data required for announcing the winners. The prize cannot be changed or redeemed for cash. Prize claims are not transferable.

Premature termination of and changes to the contest
Motel One reserves the right to terminate or change the contest without prior notice at any time if the correct implementation of the contest cannot be guaranteed for technical or other reasons or if the fairness of the contest appears to have been compromised. Participants will not derive any claims from such events.
Other provisions
There shall be no recourse to legal action. Participants will have no enforceable claims to the prize or redemption thereof in cash. These eligibility requirements and the entire legal relationship between the participant and Motel One are governed exclusively by German law. Should individual clauses of the eligibility requirements be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses will remain unaffected.
Final clause
This contest is not affiliated with Instagram. It is in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Instagram. Any information submitted by participants is received not by Instagram but by Motel One. All submitted information is used for the sole purpose of conducting the contest. The participants release Instagram from any liability that may result from claims arising from the contest (in particular, its publication and organisation). Any questions, comments or complaints about the contests shall be directed to Motel One and not Instagram.
Privacy policy
The personal data of all participants will be treated in strict confidence unless and until consent to publish is provided and shall, under no circumstances, be disclosed to third parties. To be entitled to their prize, the winner must declare their acceptance to Motel One within 72 hours and submit all data required for announcing the winner. We collect the names of all participants and store them for the purpose of determining a winner. All data is deleted within 30 days of the end of the contest. We only collect address data from the winners for the sole purpose of dispatching their prizes. Address data will only be collected from the winner and passed on to Gasteig Munich for the voucher creation. We do not disclose any data to third parties
By accepting the present conditions of participation and privacy policy, the participant gives their consent to the use of their data as described above. Participants are legally entitled to access, modify and withdraw the data stored about them.
