Super clean and great location. Hotel staff are kind and professional. Great bar service.
This is a great hotel that we have used for 4 Manchester theatre trips so far and we already have 2 more bookings. Everything is top class. Just don't leave the window open through the night as there is a chance that early morning workers may wake you earlier than you would wish. We have learned that lesson! Just set the room climate accordingly and ask reception to help with that if necessary.
The hotel lobby and bar is very nice and relaxed. The room was fine but the breakfast was very limited.
Fine, nothing special.
The staff were all very friendly. Our room was very clean, the bed comfortable. There was very little space to put things, so that a lot of clothes had to stay in the suitcase (we stayed a week). On the whole we found this hotel very good and would stay there again.

I had a a very comfortable stay. The receptionist on arrival was incredible with me, I had actually booked the wrong Motel One! She was able to guide me into making the chances so I wouldn’t be charged twice. Very good service, I would stay again and would recommend
It all depends on the people at the reception. I had problems with the bookings but the woman at the reception was abrupt, not so polite and wouldn't listen to my problems of booking 5 rooms and immediate payment because booking com had cancelled. We returned after travelling around 4 days later with cancelled booking again. The lady at the reception was kind and helped us. So, just employ polite and kind people. The breakfast arrangement was good. Rooms were neat and clean. The whole group of 10 people were very satisfied. Thank you. I'm giving 10 as I don't want to destroy your good performance for one rude person.
Excellent service at reception, really appreciate us checking in early and looking after our bags. Friendly bar staff made the best cocktail I think I've ever had. Room is a bit small..had to do an awkward limbo between the end of the bed and the TV ...it wasn't wide enough to walk between the bed and the TV/wall...
Excellent place to stay. Comfortable and clean. Staff extremely cheerful and helpful.
Great location, very poor breakfast - basically carbs, boiled eggs or heavily processed meats, lack of irons and forced to iron in reception due to it being the only one. Bathroom could have been cleaner - previous occupant’s hair clip still on the counter. Really should have separate shower gel, shampoo and conditioner - all in one is a poor effort. But must mention good bar, friendly staff and decent value for money (just don't bother with paying for breakfast and go elsewhere).
There was a toenail in our room on the carpet when we arrived
Great hotel and friendly staff
Comfortable rooms. Very quiet Stylish bar area Breakfast is Continental only but has a very good choice. Seating area is very limited and guests have to sit at low tables to eat breakfast. Staff very friendly. Great location close to tram stop.
Fantastic central location but quiet. Great large lobby with comfy chairs to have a quiet drink.
Asked to be on a higher floor we ended up facing a side road and with Storm Emily and preparations for the Conservative conference the noise outside all night was shocking. it sounded like work was going on outside the window most of the night.Breakfast was very busy by 8.30 so we ended up sat way out of the Breakfast area perched on a tiny table with a spare cube and rocking chair as seating. cutlery had ran out and tables weren't cleared swiftly. Staff were stood in the back on their phones avoiding customer contact whilst everyone wandered around moving dirty plates from place to place. And fighting over an odd spoon or knive that could be found. The seating area did not look clean it had dust on shelves deshevelled seating that looked like a pack of dogs had slept on it and dirty tables. After many stays with you for business and pleasure this was the first time I didn't enjoy the stay, and felt that standards had slipped considerably. That said I do have to say The rooms were impeccably clean check in was quick and efficient and the beds comfortable.
Nice clean fairly modern hotel and room, would be nice if you could supply drinking glasses and proper cups as your plastic ones are stained and not nice to drink from although they are only minor faults, loved that I couldn't hear the trams as I go to bed early for work 8/10
This was my second stay in Manchester St Peter’s Square. Everything was perfect during my visit. Comfortable room, nice relaxing lounge, good choice of breakfast items and helpful, friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Manchester.
Great hotel. Rooms compact but all you need. Comfy bed and pillows . Nice happy staff. Lovely bar area.
Quiet, clean and dark. Just what I want from a hotel room. Good central location
In general good, however room a bit dated and PLEASE, fit usb charging ports in your rooms and lounged, NO ONE carries 3 pin chargers around when on short stays.
Everything brilliant except the ridiculous German online check in and other automated emails.
Great quality at a great price as always.
Very friendly and helpful staff, from the people on the desk who greeted us, to those who topped up our room with milk and had been responsible for making the bed!
Clean, simple, comfortable rooms with everything you need for a short stay. Warm, welcoming reception and bar area. Excellent location. My friends had the continental breakfast which was very good. I was frustrated with the television though- I was unable to remove the audio description or the channel banner at the bottom of the screen, which meant I was unable to see a large amount of the picture. Useless for anyone needing subtitles too. Otherwise, it was a great stay.
Everything and everyone excellent, we were booked in early when we went to drop off our case the room always clean and warm our go to hotel when visiting Manchester
A fantastic hotel. Everything is great, from arrival to departure. Staff are super friendly and helpful (a special shout out to Madeleine), the rooms are comfortable and the beds are amazing.
Mary and Chole on reception were outstanding and could not do enough for us! We loved the hotel and breakfast was amazing. We will be back! Thanks to the entire team regards Mary Rose McDougall
On the whole, really great except the bathroom. The shower was leaking and so the water pressure was rubbish.
Easy check in by pleasant, friendly and polite staff, who managed to accommodate us in a room, as we were checking in an hour before official check in time. Room and bathroom was clean, warm and comfortable and although slightly small, was adequate for our needs. We stayed two nights and on the first morning the room was cleaned and fresh towels provided. Ideally located close to amenities with a tram stop nearby. Would definately recommend and will be staying here in the future
Second time staying in this hotel, it's the only hotel I will stay when I'm in Manchester
Centrally situated hotel with spacious reception areas and interesting decor, muted lighting, comfy loungers. Loved it! Our room was again spacious, accessible, with excellent facilities and cosy large bed. Will definitely be back.
Quick, effortless check-in; very friendly staff; clean room with contemporary interiors/design; comfortable bed; wonderfully quiet. And superbly central.
Room spotless great location bed very comfy no issues
Room very small, flooring excessive staining, giving the room a dirty appearance.. breakfast very good & staff very friendly and helpful.
My favourite Motel One! Great employees! You will feel at home
Lovely staff and decor and very comfortable bed .
Aesthetically beautiful, clean, functional, really happy. A little bin in the bedroom may be a good idea, as a suggestion.
The receptionist could not find my booking and was directing her frustration at me which was unfortunate as the rest of the stay was great. It was not a pleasant start to my experience. I also did not receive a bottle of water even though I am a member.
Great stay! Tidy and clean, friendly and welcoming. Great sleep and great breakfast. Great location, in the heart of the city centre. And very relaxed foyer and bar area were we rested between site seeing and visiting museums. Thanks Motel One!
What a lovely hotel! I stayed for a week whilst attending some training. I was initially allocated a room by the lifts; when I requested to swap, there was no problem and I was given a lovely quiet room at the back of the hotel. My room was freshened up daily and everything was to a very high standard. The breakfast was continental and lots of choice. Everything looked very fresh. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and I would have no hesitation in both returning in the future and recommending to others looking for a fab, well run hotel right in the centre of Manchester. Many thanks for making my stay so great!
I love staying at this hotel, it was my second stay and again i enjoyed it so much. The area is great right in the city center, close to everything. Staff is super nice and the rooms are very clean. Id like to add ive stayed in a lot of hotels and this one has the absolute best bed ive ever slept in. I do only wish the room had a fridge.
Friendly staff and lovely room. Great location.
This was my first stay in a Motel One and what a fantastic experience. Particular thanks to Chloe at reception who was an absolute angel going above and beyond to be helpful and accommodate my needs on a particularly unpredictable work trip. Thank you so much!
Great hotel and facilities at a great location
This is an excellent hotel!
Front desk staff were exceptional in solving our booking error.
Modern hotel with small but well appointed rooms. I thought the rate was high for the standard of hotel £175 per night with small room and no room service. Team were very friendly and helpful and the hotel well situated Ok for one night .. don’t plan to stay again soon
A nice hotel in a great location, but the fire alarm went off at 07:15 Sunday morning. And whilst this is for our saftey it turns out you share the fire alarm with facts next door and this alarm caused by the fact is very common occurrence.
Stayed here for two nights with a group of friends for a reunion after many years apart. The booking system was straightforward, the location is excellent and the welcome was warm and friendly. Every member of staff was friendly and efficient.

And our hotel not only has great transport connections: its central location makes it perfect for anyone who prefers serendipity to schedules, and simply wants to wander about and see what they find.
