Great location in the city. Lovely big reception and bar area with non too expensive drinks. We stayed in one of the less expensive rooms so was slightly smaller than some but that's often what a slightly cheaper room offers. All very clean. Good shower. Coffee in the room a bit disappointing would expect a pod machine to be standard. The TV was terrible, still has pre programmed German TV channels. Clearly being a German Hotel Group they installed without changing. But... The last two points are very minor and will certainly not stop me booking Motel One again. In fact, off to Berlin next.

Hotel Newcastle
Our centrally-located Motel One Newcastle is warmed by the charm of raw brickwork, in the form of a genuine brick façade with an industrial style harking back to the history of this working-class city. The interior design takes as its motif the bridges over the Tyne, and the stylish faux-industrial bar pays homage to the achievements of Robert Stephenson, who designed the Rocket steam locomotive. Real leather furniture by Baxter and fine rugs by Jan Kath complement the look. Elegant details such as chairs by Arketipo with distinctive steel frames, and mirrored shelving stocked with carafes of whisky add touches of charm.
