Convenient location meeting her needsat a fair price
Bathroom smelly. Plastic beaker appalling. Pillows uncomfortable. Buffet breakfast a mystery hunt to find anything. Lounge area and staff lovely.
The hotel was lovely, as were the staff, the room was also ok with it being clean and perfect for what I needed. However, the constant noise from whatever commercial building was opposite kept waking me up through the night and early in the morning. I have never returned from a break so tired, and now feel I wasted my money, such a shame as I had high expectations (room 139, 16th to 19th April)
The room was a little small but otherwise clean and comfortable. The toilet flush kept sticking so the water would continuously run, this needs to be repaired.
I used to stay at Motel One every week when I worked there (twice) on long term client contracts. This time was for a social visit and it’s still perfect for a city centre hotel. Great value for money. The rooms and ground floor reception, bar and breakfast areas continue to be well-maintained. Whilst the staff I had got to know well a few years ago have long since moved on, the current hotel staff remain just as welcoming and professional as always! Great to see such consistency in a hotel!
Great hotel with a central position. Great staff and room. Will stay again when next in Newcastle. Have used Motel One many times in Germany. Always first class.
Excellent location for bars/restaurants. Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly. Room clean but quite small, not much storage room for clothing. A wardrobe would have been ideal. Paid £374 for 3 nights which i think is a little overpriced. Breakfast was ok, but a cooked option would have been nice.
Well situated. Friendly and helpful staff. Spotless. Room comfortable, we stayed on 5th floor. Breakfast as plenty of choice. Easy to check in. Would highly recommend. 😊

The hotel was lovely. Classy, great entrance and I liked my experience. Easy to get to rooms from lift too. However, room was not cleaned properly. Toilet seat was dirty, as was the shower and bathroom area. The cleaning would be the area of improvement, especially in the bathroom
Overall a positive and enjoyable stay. We encountered a few issues on arrival but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The TV in our room would constantly lose signal which was frustrating. The staff helped us twice to make it work, but the TVs could do with an upgrade to avoid this happening. The room we had was quite small and would stay at an uncomfortably hot temperature, even with the ac turned down the lowest. The staff helped us with this by providing a fan which was appreciated. There were no water glasses provided in the room so we had to ask at the bar for some. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and the staff were always happy to help with any issues, but it would have been a nice gesture to have a drinks discount or some gesture to apologise for the minor inconveniences.

Very hot in the room didn’t sleep and was told the heating system only allows temperature according to the outside temperature, it was 8 degrees outside
Excellent location and great value for money. Staff were very friendly. I’m not sure about the “don’t clean the room” option card for the door as towels don’t need to be changed if remaining hung up and bed doesn’t get changed often.
The lobby of the hotel is nicely designed & very spacious. Although I did not arrange breakfast, from what I could see it looked extensive & good quality. Check in was swift and efficient. Unfortunately this is where the good points end for me. I had high hopes for the room after seeing the lobby. On entering my room it resembled that of something from prisoner cell block H. Small, bland, with virtually no furniture to speak of. Carpets were dark, lighting poor & the view from the window resembled something from post war Russia, charming it was not! The bathroom by contrast looked reasonable and modern, but nothing special. In my opinion this hotel did not offer value for money due to this fact. For only £12 more Newcastle offers very significantly better accommodation in close proximity. I'm pretty well travelled & stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years, so know the difference between good & bad I think. I shall not be returning to this particular hotel. The rooms really need to be upgraded to match the ambiance of the lobby. This then, could be considered good value in my books.
Great hotel, excellent value. Nicely refurbished, excellent bar area, super friendly staff. Delicious continental breakfast. Only complaint is lack of air con as room was very hot - and it’s only April and not particularly warm weather. Would not stay in summer here for that reason but otherwise a great hotel. Best hotel wifi I’ve ever had!

This is our first time staying with you guys and what an absolute fantastic choice it was!!! The motel was perfect in every single way - location was 10/10 with everything walking distance, very clean rooms with everything you need including a really good hairdryer, friendly helpful staff & a good night rest!!! Definately will book with you again & Definately recommend this motel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤗
Easy check-in, check-out, room was cleaned and comfortable, customer service very good, great location.
The check-in was a bit hectic and I got snapped at when I mentioned that I’d already paid for my room, was told, “Yes I know but I’m training somebody!”. So that was great. Lovely building, nice location and everything was spotless. Happy with the room and facilities until it became apparent that our room was feet away from the staff smoking area. So the majority of the stay was spent opening and closing the window whenever staff (which they did very regularly) went there. The smoke and noise really ruined the stay. Politely mentioned it at check-out and got told that it was probably a nearby business (don’t really appreciate being lied to or having my intelligence insulted). Wrote an email yesterday which has been ignored. So will not be staying again.
Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Did not like the cups in the bedroom - could they be china cups please. One of the best breakfasts Ive had.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The staff were extremely good. The room was adequate, but far too hot and the temperature system made no difference.

We have stayed at Motel One Newcastle many times over the years. It is a good base for town as it’s within easy walking distance of pretty much everywhere. The rooms are, like all Motel One hotels, functional but the bed was comfortable & the room was clean and tidy. The only downside was the flush on the toilet was very stiff and the water from the shower was very hot despite turning the temperature gauge down to zero! I was disappointed the European TV channels were not functioning. However, for what you pay for the stay it’s good value and it’s very likely I will book again in the future when I return to Newcastle.
A great place to stay and an ideal location Staff were so friendly. Room could have done with a bit of attention- dirty wall next to the bed and carpet stains but these are minor things as everything else was great. Bathroom good bed was comfy Bar downstairs was great
Lovely hotel in a great location. Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Only downside was there’s no privacy in the rooms when the curtains are open, voile at the windows would be an idea as rooms opposite can see into the room. So had to close curtains/use lights when changing and getting ready to go out.

La facture n'est pas correcte, vous m'avez facturé un petit déjeuner alors que le check in n'avait pas encore été fait. J'ai du payer lors du check in effectué le soir, sans connaître le détail. Je n'ai eu la facture qu'à la fin du séjour. Elle était vide. J'ai donc dû redemander et l'ai reçue alors que j'étais parti. Le petit déjeuner de lundi a été facturé alors que je n'étais pas encore arrivé. C'est du vol. Je suis insatisfait.
Très confortable, au plein centre
La chambre était conforme à la réservation faite en ligne. La propreté de la chambre et de la salle de bain est irréprochable. Nous y avons passé un agréable moment.
Points positifs: Proximité Points négatifs: Lit pas très confortable, taie d'oreiller sale même après le passage de la femme de ménage, clim qui ne se règle pas mais qui s'adapte à la température externe.
Personnel sympa - très propre - réservation et check out rapide - shampoing douche disponible et boissons dans la chambre - pas de bruit -chambre agréable et bien décorée - cadre entrée/ louange- canapé lazy agréables-

Expérience complètement positive de bout en bout: accueil incroyable, belle grande chambre calme et confortable et délicieux petit-déjeuner. Et l’emplacement est parfait pour visiter la ville à pieds. Bravo

Bon accueil et personnel attentionné et agréable. Très bonne situation de l hôtel au milieu des centres d intérêts les plus importants : historiques, festifs. Chambre et literie agréables, ainsi que le lieu d accueil et de détente dans l hôtel. Chambre très calme. Sanitaire satisfaisant mais matériel peu solide.

Notre Motel One Newcastle situé au cœur de la ville est teinté du charme des briques apparentes. Le style industriel de la façade authentique en briques rappelle le passé de ville ouvrière de Newcastle. À l’intérieur, les ponts sur la Tyne, thème déterminant de notre décor caractérisent le design. Quant au bar stylé au look industriel, il met en valeur les exploits du créateur de la locomotive à vapeur, Robert Stephenson. Des fauteuils et canapés en cuir Baxter et des tapis de grande qualité de Jan Kath complètent le look industriel.
