This is my home in Manchester. Friendly and helpful service, handy location and all you need for a short stay. Everything the staff can affect is top-notch incl cleanliness and breakfast. Reusable cups and new hairdryers welcome. Needs work: furnishings are getting tatty and the coffee & juice are bad. Main website is VERY slow.
Probably one of the grimmest rooms I've ever stayed in. Thankfully, it was only £55 had it been any more, I would have complained. The best thing was that the Q-park is next door, and that would be the only reason I would return.
Hotel was fine and location was perfect. Only issue I had was housekeeping knocking on my door twice on the morning I was checking out.
First class stay and the staff were kind and helpful. Good welcome. Room was clean and perfect. An English breakfast would be welcome.
Have stayed at this property many times, and have always been satisfied. If I had to find fault with anything it would that this time at breakfast the were slow in restocking empty food items.
Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff, super bathroom and lovely comfy bed. Perfect
Friendly local staff on Reception. Big comfy beds. Very busy hotel but I heard no noise at night.
Everything was perfect, as always. I really enjoy staying at this hotel and have always had a great experience. However, I noticed a couple of things during this stay that I felt were worth mentioning. Firstly, there were no toilets available at the reception, as all the toilets were out of service. This was quite inconvenient, especially as the hotel was very busy. I also noticed that when I was sitting in the reception area, there was no complimentary water available for guests. I normally see water provided in the large jug near the bar, so I found it quite unusual that this was not available during this visit. I did ask them, and they said I had to pay for it. As it was a bank holiday weekend and the hotel was clearly very busy, with a large number of people around reception throughout the day, it felt as though the hotel was not fully prepared for the increased number of guests. Aside from these points, everything else was excellent, and I continue to enjoy staying at the hotel. I hope this feedback is helpful for future busy periods.
Low water pressure in the shower. Poor and interrupted WiFi connection. Shelf could have been better cleaned. Bar is average. I needed to ask 4 times for get the room cleaned on one day (at 11am, at 12:30pm, at 1:30 and at 3pm). Otherwise fine.
Fabulous staff name drop polly at the reception The guys behind the bar fabulous
Hello While staff are very friendly, I was disappointed of having the “computer” allow checking only at 3 pm with everyone else which of course resulted in a past 3 checking while it is clear that rooms are ready before. Also - the water stream was super weak which was unfortunate but changing rooms so late given late check in was not reasonable for us. As members and returning guests in the chain (third time this year) I didn’t feel valued and will consider coming again. Ben
Perfect, great location, great staff. Room for what you pay is perfectly adequate. Everything works.
Very cold, but comfortable. No matter what we tried we couldn’t get the heating system to warm up.
Good location, nice friendly staff and very quiet rooms.
Staff friendly and helpful. Room small but bed very comfortable. Breakfast choices wide-ranging but could perhaps do with the addition of some healthier "German style" bread.
Very convenient location, opposite picadilly station and a 5 minute walk from Canal Street. The rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonably sized. Upgrade to a city view and ask for a corner room! The air con is great too. Beds are big and comfy. My only request would be a fridge in the room.
The Reception was fantastic and let us check-in early. So we were able to get out straight away. The hotel is really good for the Piccadilly Railway Station and is close to prime entertainment and leisure.
Lovely welcome from reception staff. Nice room, big bed. Good products in bathroom.
Always stay at Motel One when we come to Manchester- always clean
Very friendly staff. Good value breakfast. Very calm atmosphere.
Our room was overall clean apart from the carpet , lots of stains and cigarette burns near the window where people have been smoking! Issue with shower! Unable to have a shower due to the head of the shower not running straight ahead, water was running towards the glass making it impossible to have a shower no matter how I tried to fix it . I requested some reimbursement however the manager told me if I stay again I can have free breakfast! So I have to spend more money to get my benefit!
The hotel was excellent. Well presented and serviced by friendly helpful staff. Very good value
Great experience at reception. Room was a bit labyrinthine but I did ask for a quiet one. Room fine - as expected. It’s a great place if you’re catching a train from Piccadilly. Slight pong in bathroom sadly - is same at other locations in the city. Also telly picture was wobbly. Apart from that, all good. Thanks
The bedroom was very clean and well appointed. Towels were fluffy and fresh. I do wish you would have a waste bin in the bedroom as well as the bathroom. A table at each side of the bed would be appreciated.
Lovely room, very clean and fresh. Ideal location for the city and station.
From check-in to check-out, everything was excellent. Our room was immaculate, comfortable, and perfect for a work related visit. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with plenty of options available. The staff were absolutely superb, friendly, professional, and happy to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.
all good
Unfortunately was woken up several times with drunken guests shouting in the corridor
Quick check-in location was very accessible to public transport and staff were very excellent.
Great location and friendly staff.
All staff were so helpful and the hotel was spotless.
Easily met all of our expectations and exceeded some of them. Pleasant and hassle free stay. We would especially like to highlight that the front of house staff were excellent.
Great location, room was clean and simple, staff were friendly and helpful, nice bar area.
Lovely staff clean and tidy well recommended
Top location for Trains,Trams and buses. Well comfy beds 👍 Lovely staff.... Thank you
Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly is well appointed, modernly decorated and provides a quality guest experience. Room: Modernly decorated, comfortable, functional and quiet with double glazing and quality fittings. Bed: Very comfortable with good quality linen and four pillows. Bathroom: Modern and in new condition. Large walk-in shower, okay pressure and instant hot water. Air conditioning: Ducted - reasonably quiet and efficient. Internet: Didn't use. Wardrobe: Open style, good use of space. Lighting: Well thought out and functional. Breakfast: Didn't try but looked good. Lifts: x3 - Quick, Modern and clean.
I arrived midnight at the hotel, I got everything ready for me. Went had a quick drink in the bar, which was nice. Passed reception and they wished me good night. Room was with a nice view and most important clean. In the morning went downstairs to get an iron which basically was given to me straight away. I wanted just coffee not the whole breakfast, they allowed me just to help myself. It was relaxing and nothing was too much. I left my bag in the hotel for the whole day and picked it up before leaving Manchester. Really enjoyed my stay, looking forward coming back.
A comfortable two-night stay at a very reasonably priced hotel in a central location just across the road from the station.
Great welcome friendly helpful polite staff, lovely hotel room was great cool casual lounge/bar area to relax would be nice if there was some beer on tap instead of just bottles
Close to station, very clean, lovely facilities and friendly staff
Ideal and very clean
My husband has mobility issues rang to ask about parking. Was told there was none. We parked on a meter around the back of the motel only to realise later I could have dropped him off on Whitworth St at the side door and then parked saving him a painful walk. The hotel itself was lovely and the staff welcoming. The accessible room was spacious and ideal.
Second visit to this hotel, clean comfortable friendly staff
Relaxed and comfortable
Very clean. Staff were very welcoming. Perfect for what we needed
Asked for singel quilts, got it. Good service. Nice view from twelfth floor. Fair price. Close to Piccadilly Station and to the city centrum. We will, as always, come back.
Motel One is a big city centre hotel with a plush reception area, but the rooms are no better than your average motel. There is virtually no clothes storage. Only one side of the bed had a bedside table, and that was awkward to use. The bedside light was also awkward to operate. It had one small table as a desk, with unsecured WiFi. The bed was very comfortable. It had a nice bathroom with an excellent shower. The only lighting was very bright, which is not what you want if you have to use during the night. Breakfast was totally self service. It was a buffet with the only hot item being boiled eggs. What there was was good.
Great customer service - especially when I was woken up at 5.30 in the morning by a knock on the door from a rather inebriated young man saying he just wanted a hug! They dealt with the matter quickly.
Great hotel in a very convenient location for the train station
Very clean, 2 minutes to Piccadily train station and helpful staf.

Hotel Manchester Piccadilly
Welcome to Manchester, birthplace of music! Manchester made the soundtrack for any visit to the North-West: Oasis, The Smiths, Stone Roses and Take That grew to fame here. The Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly is adorned with wallpaper featuring famous local bands. In the bar area, club chairs by Varier and a seating cluster by Living Divani create a relaxed backstage ambiance, decorated appropriately with vinyl records and electric guitars. The symbol of the city, the hard-working bee, is also represented in the hotel, with a colourful photo collage dedicated to this emblem, golden hanging lamps by Produzione Privata in a shape reminiscent of a bee, and honey-yellow cushions on our Signet seating benches.
Our affordable Design Hotel is in the heart of Manchester, near sights such as the Royal Manchester Theatre and Manchester Cathedral. Directly opposite is Manchester’s main Piccadilly Station, putting destinations such as Salford Quays and Manchester airport in easy reach.
Book your room in our affordable hotel and follow Manchester’s friendly honey-collector through the city. Don't worry, Bee happy!
