Lovely hotel, great staff and best in class cleaning staff. Let down slightly with Rooms that are too hot with lack of true A/C and limited breakfast in a small room
Lovely hotel, great location in city centre.
From check-in to a drink by the bar and my two-night stay, everything was faultless. Staff were great, extremely helpful and engaging. Great location opposite Central Station, hotel well sound-proofed, great night sleep. I would not hesitate to rebook. Thank you.
Comfortable, convenient, good check in service, booking via their website / app gives a little discount and makes check in etc easier.
This the 2nd time I've stayed here and the room was smaller but was clean and bed was comfy would recommend as there are plenty places to eat and easy for public transport
Great stay, but the room just felt a little bit tired. The fire alarm flashing on the ceiling constantly was also very distracting.
It was incredible
I am Motel One's biggest fan. However this stay has not been great and this is simply due to the temperature at the hotel, which seems to be completely overheated. Particularly at night the room temperature, despite an open window is rather unbearable.
Hi Rm 920 air con wasn't working and it was uncomfortably warm in the night for us so not the best sleep. So glad it wasn't hot outside otherwise it would have been unbearable.
Hotel is great, location is great and the Team are great. a tough ask given the layout of the rooms, but there was old food under my safe and the corners could do with a vacuum, this would have given a 10.
All good although air conditioning not working in the room at all, disturbed sleep
I had attempted to book through Be One app several times. I ended up booking direct with hotel which cost £5more than app price. Girl couldn't change price at time of check in.
Excellent room, feels like a 5 star facility. Only the breakfast option was really poor. The hotel can think to provide lunch and dinner services as that will be convenient for the guests
Everything you need. Clean central and friendly staff. Will book again.
Booked this as a surprise for my husband’s 50th Birthday. Booked a larger room and asked for a room with a good view due to it being a special occasion. The room we got did deliver with the view, however it was an accessible room - pull cords everywhere and the bathroom obviously set up for wheelchair users. Whilst we are both nurses and it’s great you have these provisions it completely took the shine away from the occasion for us. We did ask at reception, they said basically that this was all we could get, they could move us but wouldn’t have the view. Just really disappointing when I put the info re his birthday in on booking as well as a week before our arrival. The room was just very impersonal.
A friendly greeting on arrival in a very stylish location. The feel of a Malmaison at a fraction of the cost
Great hotel and the staff are always lovely. Rooms are always spotless and it's in such a convenient location. The bar is lovely, the bartenders are not the most confident but overall couldn't recommend more!
Lovely hotel, perfect location and value for money
I requested to have the rooms next to each other, as we were travelling with 3 children, and the rooms we had were quite separated, and could not be modified. That caused the parents to be separated. This is the most remarkable issue/circumstance.
Room was Spartan with almost no room to put anything but the heat during the night made me ill even with window open resulting in no sleep at all. I phoned reception at 12:20am to ask for a fan and got no answer only to get dressed go down 12 flights only for 2 people to be standing at reception talking to each other. Then 20 minutes before checkout time the fire alarm went off while I was in shower resulting in having to run down 12 flights of stairs definitely won’t be back! .
Second stay here nice and clean great location
Would have been a ten but I didn't get my usual room with a great view instead I got a room looking at the ventilation system at Glasgow Central Station.
Great clean room, nice and quiet. Comfy. Great location, Lovely staff
We had a warm welcome at reception and staff offered guidance on how to get to the event we were in town for. The room was clean and tidy. The comfy bed, blackout curtains and fantastic double glazing meant that we had a great night's sleep with no noise or light coming in from outdoors.
Following a discussuon and an arrangement via email none of my requirements were met. Sorry but very disappointed this time. This was a birthday gift to my grandaughter and i feel very let down by you
very nice hotel and convient fro the town centre/rail station
We really enjoyed the bar. Staff were terrific. The room and bath were very small. Did not care for toiletry where hand soap doubled as shampoo and no conditioner.
Overall great experience, just cleanliness dropped it down a little. Both towels hanging under sink, one was stained with large brown stain, the other was covered in short hairs like someone had shaved and wiped their chin on it. Shower leaking from head but still useable and great pressure. Staff really friendly, helped set up surprise birthday decorations for husbands birthday. Bed massive and very comfortable.
Staff welcoming. Room is clean was perfect for the stay. Perfect location. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again when next in Glasgow. Only thing was I wish there were coffee sachets, only tea.
Lovely staff. Room was good size and very clean. Comfortable bed. Right temperature. I did book originally through booking.com but cancelled direct with hotel as better rate. Joined the beone and downloaded the app. Said I’d get free bottle of water on arrival but I never received this
Have stayed before and absolutely love it, great location, great staff, great place
No high floor or facing hope st
Location: easy access to anything on Hope street with shopping close by and ScotRail around the corner. Taxis right outside Checkin: easy fast Room: comfortable enough bed, room was small and hard for two people to pass each other but we had a fun street view. Bathroom updated with good water pressure and fixtures. Breakfast: if you don’t get there before 7:30 things go empty and they don’t refill anything. Breads with spreads, sliced meats and cheeses, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a few cereals, oatmeal in cups, juice in carafes and automatic coffee machines April2026:Warning there is a ton of construction happening right outside their front door right now so lots of busy foot traffic and construction barriers
Wonderful hotel...rooms beautifully designed and appointed, very conmformable, quiet. Only reason I gave 9 rather than 10 is lack of advertised bar snacks...I was looking forward to a toasted cheese sandwich with my drink!
Great value and the bar open late is a bonus.Quite possibly the comfiest bed .I have slept in in a hotel
We have stayed at MotelOne in Glasgow on many occasions and it more than adequately meets our needs. Only one minor issue on our most recent visit which was the continued flashing light on the smoke alarm which disturbed our sleep, this has never been an issue previously.
Lovely team, lovely facilities, decent breakfast. Directly next to Glasgow Central Station, which was convenient, though there was consequently some construction in there area. The biggest letdown was that, for some reason, the shower was unfinished, with a wide-open hole where a door should be.
For the most part my stay for the one night was great and my only negative and reason for making down would be that before 11pm there was a dog barking quite loudly in the room next to me - I can’t really fault the hotel for this because reception staff were keen to try resolve the issue as the poor thing sounded quite distressed. I’d hope that guests bringing pets would be a bit more considerate to other guests and behave more responsibly.
Very nice Very clean Very nice staff 👌👍
The receptionist was very helpful, especially after the night my friends and I had and having to find a hotel for 5 of us late at night in the city centre. The rooms are very good and quiet even though it's very busy outside. Comfortable beds and great pillows, would definitely stay again.
Room was clean tidy comfortable. Didn't use the facilities. Had a problem with the lock in room door not operating. It was problematic when i first checked in took a few goes to work. At the end of the night it just wouldn't unlock a very grumpy and non apologetic manager opened it with her pass key. I felt her attitude was it was our fault but the night porter couldn't open it either. Not a word of apology from the manager
Everything was great clean room & comfy bed
Excellent location, friendly, helpful, welcoming staff, bar area relaxed, large, yet cosy & bar staff very pleasant & professional. Rooms clean, choice of various lighting & good shower. Join up for benefits. Very pleasant stay & will return.
Arrived early with intention of just putting bag in storage but room was already ready which was a bonus. Bed and pillows/ bedding very comfortable. No noise at all from the train station considering it's closeness. Staff very friendly.
Good location! Very central
From the ease of booking, good value, and great staff. I really enjoyed my stay in Glasgow. The only small issue was the room was very warm. Proved difficult to cool the room.
All good. I will be sure to book again. Thanks for the early check in :) I appreciate it.
Fantastic hotel, third time staying and one of best nights sleep I have ever had.
Had the pleasure of staying here on Easter Sunday. No issues, liked the egg hunt in our room only managed to find 2 though?
A really lovely hotel in a fantastic location - nice rooms with big comfy bed - brilliant power shower too.

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!

Art with heart
The art at the Motel One in Glasgow takes you on a journey through the Scottish Highlands. The photography from artist duo Scullion and Dalziel captures details and impressions of romantic, rugged nature from unusual perspectives.
Hotel Glasgow
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
