Good location and usual friendly staff in a trendy comfortable hotel.
There was no screen up only curtains and the other rooms looked into ours.
First time staying with this hotel group and were pleasantly surprised.Room was adequate for 1 nights stay although any longer would have preferred a larger room. Must give praise to the bar staff that evening. We arrived back at the hotel and decided to have a coffee and a drink in the bar lounge. It had been a long busy day in Glasgow…and we needed to relax and wind down. The gentleman who served us was so accommodating and even asked if I wished hot milk with my coffee? In the past at other hotels I usually have to ask? Our drinks were served promptly and courteously at our table. It was a lively end to the day…thank you.
As always, staff very helpful and accommodation was clean and comfortable. I always choose Motel one when I stay in Glasgow as I know what I'm getting, nice room with good service and central to everything in Glasgow city
Relaxing visit, great staff, great location.
Really great hotel, helpful staff and everything you could want for a short stay.
Lovely stay and staff where great
I was attending a conference in Glasgow and Motel One was one of the recommended hotels. I was very impressed with how friendly the staff were, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I was also impressed with the waterfall shower.
Excellent
Clean and comfortable budget central hotel.
Well appointed hotel with excellent bar and beautiful lounge!
Comfortable stay , staff very helpful room small but functional and worked well. Liked the design in bar and reception/ restaurant. Breakfast very nice . One little shock ( appreciate not under your control) but in Raddisson hotel opposite , let’s just say we witnessed a woman performing an act / voyeur very openly! Not deterred by this and would stay again
Perfect location, friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast. Love the eggs with messages on! Helpful to leave my bag before the room was ready. Very comfortable bed and super shower. As some have said, the room wasn’t massive but perfectly adequate and had everything I needed
Excellent value for money, central location and welcomed late check out at 12pm.
Comfortable & clean. Not the most spacious of rooms but they have everything I needed and I found the bed comfortable.
As always friendly staff at check in. Nice atmosphere in the bar too. Lovely comfy room
As usual the stay was excellent. Feedback for improvement is that the desk was unmanned in the morning at 0800. This meant a queue forming and staff just milling around. I had to ask twice for someone to go and find a member of staff to sort things out. Other than that my stay met my expectations.
After a long four hour trip from the west coast of Argyll being met at reception by friendly helpful staff was a breath of fresh air. The hotel is very well situated in Glasgow city centre for access to restaurants, shops and travel hubs all within easy walking distance. The house team presented a high standard of cleanliness throughout and after a long day the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Glasgow.
After a long journey from Spain being met by helpful friendly staff on arrival set the tone for the rest of my stay.
Very satisfed! Receptionist eccellent! I'll come back! Thank you very much for all.
Absolutely fantastic. I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff I met. The location was ideal for me, especially as I arrived by train, making it very convenient. The only minor issue was the colour of the carpet. While I appreciate that it may reflect the hotel's corporate branding, I personally do not feel comfortable with darker colour schemes and surroundings. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would happily recommend the hotel and also come again if I am in Glasgow.
I spent a wonderful time at your hotel. Very friendly receptionists and the room was cosy and quiet.
Always amazing, staff and hotel great. Its right in the middle of town.Great stay.Thank you
Really enjoyed our stay! Would be nice to be able to just get a coffee in the morning (not full breakfast).
We had a lovely stay at Motel One, very lean, tidy and comfortable. We loved the close proximity to all amenities. We will definitely be returning. Thanks
Lovely atmosphere, delicious cocktails and coffees. Affordable room rate. Convenient location in the city. The room was clean and bathroom worked well. Appreciated having air conditioning. The room felt quite small and they stuck two twin beds together which was uncomfortable. We would stay there again.
The rooms are good for solo traveller, though less space to open big suitcase but that aspect can be managed. It has basic toiletries only. The floors and bathroom were absolutely clean but the shelves has dust particles which were definitely not cleaned daily. No restaurant here so you need to explore the nearby eateries. The hotel is safe but the crossroads is a bit spicy/shady considering it is located near the central station, so one needs to be cautious when strolling around. The room only has hair dryer, no iron and iron board so it becomes a bit challenging for a professional staying there for work. Moreover, there was no space to walk if one places the iron board in the room. All in all, hotel is good if you don't have too many expectations and have aircon but overpriced.
Great value for money, immaculate rooms and as central as you could get. Will definitely stay again
Extremely well ran, excellent value for money and convient to Rail Services. However, one has to be extremely vigalant against street beggars and con-artists etc, especially in the early hours if returning from a 'night on the town' or visit to friends. 'BUYER BEWARE', IT'S CHEAP FOR A REASON.
Overall a great stay, this is my favourite Glasgow hotel, its location is perfect being literally opposite Central Station and a short walk from lots of bars restaurants, theatres and shops. Only thing that could have been better this time was the slow check in, for which I did get an apology.
Thank you so much for the room on the 12th floor! It was great, very clean, had a nice shower, and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed being on the top floor and its spectacular view. I also appreciated the calmness :) A small suggestion for improvement: Thank you for providing shampoo/conditioner for your guests - Unfortunately, the chosen products are heavily perfumed and their ingredients are not well suited for sensitive skin. More gentle versions would be appreciated.
Room was a bit smaller than we usually get but it was okay
Great value, lovely hotel
Great location in Glasgow , nice facilities and pleasant staff
Another great stay at Motel One. The aircon was much needed in the heat wave and I slept like a log. Really friendly staff as always and the room was spotless.
Great Motel , warm friendly staff, clean & perfect location.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was very nice; clean, well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was a delight. So few hotels have hot chocolate on the menu & the pain au chocolate was soft and delicious. I appreciate that you have a luggage storage policy for when I had checked out.
Very very expensive for what we got
Spotless room super comfortable bed shower fantastic only reason for not a 10 would have preferred more table space.
Bed was really comfy
Have been a guest previously. I was disappointed in breakfast. Not a great choice and coffee was so weak it was like water. I had thought two years ago staff looked very smart in their turquoise outfits but now they look scruffy. Lots in polo shirts and jeans.
The staff are great, always kind and helpful. The only downside I have is that there is no beer on tap at the bar.
Great staff, special thanks to Nicole at the front desk, lovely room at the top floor.
Room was very clean and comfy
Good location, clean, comfortable, modern.
Good value, looks smart downstairs and allows pets.
Special thanks to Dean who helped me out with some work printing at no charge!
Great hotel in a great location. The bar is a very relaxing and chilled place to enjoy a drink.
Never stayed before but will definitely book ahain
I have used this hotel previously and wanted to use it again because :- it was close to Glasgow Central Station the quality of the hotel the standard of room value for money

Six reasons why you need to visit Glasgow
Evergreen
The name Glasgow comes from Gaelic and means ‘dear green place’ – more than 90 , such as Pollock Country Park and Kelvingrove Park, are open to the public and are perfect for taking a walk or simply relaxing.
Active
There’s something on offer every day of the year here, from festivals to football matches, art-house cinema to comedy clubs. The music scene in particular is second to none, no matter whether you’re into jazz, hip hop, electro or classical. Designated by UNESCO as a City of Music, it’s not for nothing that Glasgow is home to one of the world’s most sold-out concert locations (), which hosts a constant stream of superstars. You can also discover up-and-coming musicians in bars such as or . And you can find the Scottish Opera, the National Ballet and the National Theatre here – not to mention the World Pipe Band Championships, which involve nothing less than the world championship title for bagpipes!
Wonderful(ly cheap)
The city has more than 20 museums and galleries, as well as numerous other sights, many of which have free admission – such as the , which contains one of Europe’s largest art collections, the , Glasgow’s and the .
Varied
From in a Gothic church to or in summer – Glasgow has much more than simply sightseeing to offer. is also only around 40 minutes out of the city; you can explore the national park on foot, by boat or on horseback. Gourmands can examine the production of Scotland’s national drink by visiting one of the many whisky distilleries, such as the in the middle of the city or the during a day trip out into the Highlands.
Spruced up
You might see an oversized panda just outside the front door, or an astronaut along the street: Glasgow has transformed into a real mecca for street art. You can discover some of the best artworks by taking a walk along the .
Appetising
Finnieston, in the west of the city, is Glasgow’s designated foodie district. There’s something to suit every taste, from young and cool locations to award-winning gourmet restaurants. By the way, Glasgow is also the UK’s most vegan-friendly city! It’s also got a thriving bar scene: things are no longer simply all about the (still delicious) whisky. Independent breweries have helped to establish craft beers, while juniper fans can look forward to specialised gin bars such as .

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!

Art with heart
The art at the Motel One in Glasgow takes you on a journey through the Scottish Highlands. The photography from artist duo Scullion and Dalziel captures details and impressions of romantic, rugged nature from unusual perspectives.
Hotel Glasgow
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
