Had the pleasure of staying here on Easter Sunday. No issues, liked the egg hunt in our room only managed to find 2 though?
A really lovely hotel in a fantastic location - nice rooms with big comfy bed - brilliant power shower too.
I stay often, one of the best hotel chains I've stayed with, for efficiency, value & friendliness.
I cancelled the reservation and asked for a refund. I have raised 2 tickets and not received any reply yet. Requesting refund. Thanks!
The hotel is lovely and very clean, the vibe is very welcoming, the Easter hunt was quite fun and well appreciated. The cleanliness of the room and overall hotel was exceptional. The only gripes we have is the pillows weren’t the best suited to us personally and the breakfast being continental style wasn’t quite what we were expecting.
Staff very friendly and helpfull
Good location in city centre, friendly and professional staff, great room and facilities and nice touch with Easter treats provided in room.
Nice hotel close to Glasgow Central Station.
Music on from outside hotel until 3am. A warning should have been given from room 205 stating this. Also no draught beer on tap and breakfast was absolutely terrible. I would rather sleep on the street than stay in that hotel again.
In the bedroom there was 4 different size pillows not one matched we a a square that looked as if it was from a cushion, thin rectangle, bigger rectangle, and one normal size pillow and all very uncomfortable but after from that everthing else was good so if the pillow situation got sorted out it would have been a 10.
Excellent accommodation. Perfect for train station and Ovo Hydro, where we were seeing Peter Kay. Staff were very helpful and polite. Room was perfect.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always given an excellent review but this last visit was not good. My daughter and I were sharing a room. The room was really hot. We tried to get the AC to come on but it was just circulating the warm air that was already in our room. We barely slept as it was so uncomfortable. We phoned reception at 5am to see if anyone could take a look at it; we were told "no" but was offered a fan, which they expected us to get dressed and come down to pick up from reception ourselves! We spoke to the Manager the following morning. We were told that AC isn't available until later in the year when it reaches a certain temperature outside; that's not good enough, you should be able to control your room temperature all year round! If you open the window it's very noisy from the city that never sleeps!
Never had a bad stay here. Always a good clean comfortable room, and staff are always friendly and helpful. Superb location
After a long journey a warm welcome was received at reception from a very helpful staff. The premises are very well located for exploring Glasgow on foot or by local transport with easy access to retail outlets and restaurants.
Lovely hotel and nice pleasant staff. Rooms were fab with a great view from 6th floor. Would recommend
The hotel was clean and quiet and very conveniently located in town. Staff were friendly on check-in. Room was comfortable and well-appointed.
Found the hotel to be of great value with an excellent breakfast. Can't comment on lounge/bar as didn't use it, but visually looked really nice.
We are returning customer and enjoy motel one. Staff friendly, nice cocktails etc. But on this occasion the room was very warm and the air con was defective. Which resulted in very little sleep. Reception took a note of the defective. 1247.
This was a great choice for us! They allowed us store our bags before check in time. The room was very clean, as they cleaned it every day + changed the towels etc. l loved that it was very convenient to the city.
So convenient for Central Station. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Altogether, a very pleasant stay.
Really like your hotel and have stayed now a few times. The rooms were great, quite big, especially the bed. Bathroom is very nice too. The current soaps are lovely although one small improvement would be to have hand cream or body milk too.
all great apart from the horrible plastic cups in the bedrooms
All good
Great location and clean hotel
Great central location. Amazing shower. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
I was allocated a room on the sixth floor with a great city view. The room was good. Clean and spacious.
On arrival, even tho it close to midnight, I was greeted with v friendly & informative staff, who gave great advice. Room was clean & had all I needed. Watched a great film til I dropped off. Enjoyed the free teas & shower. Participate liked the 12noon check out!
Great hotel. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful. I liked the lounge and the books that were available for reading. A drinking water station would have been good, to fill up my bottle.
Fantastic hotel.. central to everything. The room was excellent, clean and very comfortable.. staff were very friendly and helpful.. thank you for a great stay xx
Great hotel to stay at highly recommended
The hotel itself is lovely but I was disappointed in my room this stay. Understandably I realise being 9 floors up the heat is going to rise but the room was almost unbearably hot but because I was staying above central station I couldn’t sleep with the window open. The room compared to the last time I stayed at Motel one was extremely small - thank goodness I was by myself. The tv in the room was also spotty signal wise and had a line appearing down the middle of it.
Quick check in, friendly staff, great room for a decent price
Everything was great. The hotel is centrally located, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
Everything was perfect! The personal was very friendly and helpful, it was clean, beds are very comfortable and a very good breakfast!
Great reception area, easy to check in, clean hotel, nice staff, fabulous location, discount on parking. All GOOD
I like Motel One. I know what to expect and I liked the Easter offer. The only thing that spoiled my stay was the TV. I couldn't get the remote to work properly. I could only get a couple of channels so I let the front desk know. They replaced the remote control but I found that there was only limited channels. No ITV/STV channels. Plus the volume on the tv was distorted. I was trying to watch QI on screen but the voices were like echos. I would have expected more channels especially in the UK. I also couldn't check-in online as the payment screen kept saying there was an error. I also had to use a translation website as the check-in form was half English and half German. It shouldn't really happen with a multi-national company.
Great service from start to finish. Reception team were friendly, knowledgeable about the area and efficient. Housekeeping were discreet and quick. Bar staff were quick and the drinks were reasonably priced. The reception area and bar look really nice with food comfy seats. The room was a decent size and the bathroom, although small, had all that was needed. I didn't particularly like the plastic cups in the room, for tea or coffee. This is me second time at a Motel One hotel and it will be my go to in future.
Lovely stay, close to station and town centre, friendly staff, all round a great stay
Hotel is brilliant as all Motel One are but my room on the 12th floor was boiling hot even with the fan on full and the window open
Basic hotel with a decent shower. No way to opt for early check in (would have paid extra). There were rooms available if they wanted to allow it despite stating otherwise. They will keep luggage stored for you though until after 3pm.
From first check in with a lovely Australian girl I am a single woman and partially disabled she was welcoming and very helpful asking if I wanted a room near lift which lifted all the anxiety. Room was so cosy and very clean. Relaxation areas were of same standards. I would definitely stay here again
Excellent staff and very clean facilities
Great and handy for station and nite life clean and tidy all you need for an overnight
Had a lovely stay and very kindly got given a small upgrade, the room was great, clean, bed was very comfortable and the view was amazing, will definitely be staying again.
It's a lovely hotel in the perfect location
Can’t fault Motel One Glasgow. Excellent city centre location, great value. Staff all very friendly & efficient. We arrived just after 3pm and there was a queue, but there were 5 members of staff checking people in so the wait was minimal.
What you should do is adopt a payment early check in system like premier inn. I got there early cause of an early train.from Londoner and had to sit 2 hrs I didn’t mind paying a fee to get my room a bit earlier
We loved our stay at Motel One! The staff were so lovely and let my partner and I check into a room early which was very appreciated. The room was modern and clean, perfect for a weekend away. The hotel has fantastic amenities and the lobby has a really nice atmosphere to stop and have a drink.
Great stay as usual. Regulars here. Getting a bit pricey though!
Excellent facilities and room for suitcase, clothes and toiletries. But far too hot in room even with window open all the time.

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!

Art with heart
The art at the Motel One in Glasgow takes you on a journey through the Scottish Highlands. The photography from artist duo Scullion and Dalziel captures details and impressions of romantic, rugged nature from unusual perspectives.
Hotel Glasgow
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
