Lovely clean hotel . Friendly welcoming staff at desk Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends
The overall stay was excellent room was very clean, bed very comfy and heat in room was good. Only downfall of the stay was the breakfast. Not much choice in the way of food and the coffee machine only put out hot water and milk and no coffee and tried on several occasions.
Very nice room, comfortable and quiet. Reception and bar area were also very tasteful and relaxed. Good location. However, the breakfast was very basic for £13.50, and the space cramped and finding it hard to keep up with the customers on both days I was there. It would also have been nice to have had better coffee in the room and a small desk area
Very clean hotel with very comfy beds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel situated in the centre of Glasgow and next to Central Station. Looking forward to visiting the hotel in a couple of months.
Friendly and helpful personel. Clean rooms but a little small. Overall realy good and I can recomend it.
Efficient, well placed, clean and good value for money!
Perfect stay and room with a view.
staff friendly and efficient cosy comfortable beds. only downside is the tv not many channels and picture kept flickering. didn’t even have all basic channels. that’s my only complaint
We enjoyed our stay. Check in receptionist was friendly and helpful, room comfy and great location.
This was an excellent landing spot in Glasgow for a jet lagged family! Great location and a welcoming and accommodating staff.
Nice comfortable hotel (apart from the strange pillow choice) right in the heart of Glasgow but the construction work right outside took the shine off our stay
Excellent location, the room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I look forward to staying here again!
Air con didn't work in room was absolutely roasting and didn't sleep
Great hotel and staff. Rooms very clean great location.
Great value for money, room was small but adequate for our needs. Staff were very friendly and happy to assist.
Had an excellent stay
Nice hotel in a convenient central area of Glasgow. Nice clean room with great view and nice facilities. My daughter was particularly impressed with the fuzzy sheep and complimentary "Motel One blue" sweets on the reception counter.
Nice hotel, friendly staff and easy check in. Room was very warm and air con doesn't work which means windows needs to be left open to the noisy street
Motel one Glasgow is conveniently located next to the train station and many restaurants. My room had plenty of space, a safe and was clean. Anytime I had a question or needed something the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was nice. It was definitely a good value.
I use the Glasgow hotel around 10 times per year, this was my first booking as a beOne member, I should have joined sooner, beautiful room with large windows and cheaper than regular booking sites, thank you beOne and Motel One for a fabulous stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The ladies toilets on arrival were far from clean. Reported to reception who sorted it straight away We were on 2nd floor on a Saturday night in city centre. There was noise from a club until about 3 am the music was extremely loud. I will ask for a higher floor in future
Clean, comfortable and quiet. Efficient and helpful reception staff. Very convenient location.
This was the second time I've stayed here. Great location. Their beds are the best! The only slight disappointment, I checked in online the day before, but still had to wait at reception to check in, for a while, though that process was quicker.
Excellent service, polite and friendly staff throughout our stay, 1 night stay so took the smaller room, it was quite small as is the toilet in these rooms, prices are sneaking up in Glasgow which is unfortunate, a nice hotel for a short stay and great location, for getting about the area right next to Train station
The hotel was perfect if you want to be close to the station. However the work being carried out next to the hotel carried on through the night. The room was extremely hot and that meant having to have the window open. We requested a fan for the second night which made little difference. I have never stayed in a room which was so humid and warm. We spoke to reception on leaving and they said they would notify maintenance. I would like to know whether there was a fault somewhere with our room or if all the rooms are unbearable to sleep in? Room 836.
I stayed for 2 nights and had booked because of the excellent reviews. In general everything was really good. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was awesome. BUT there is some vent going through the rooms above the door probably from the AC that is constantly humming and blowing and quite unpleasantly noisy. I had to change rooms because in the first stunning room on 10th it was so loud that I knew it would drive me crazy. In the 2nd room it was a little less because of a small "hallway". I still needed earplugs to be able to sleep though. Also, there were only dark curtains for the windows and no thin ones. So in order not to greet the guests from the hotel next door while I was in my room I could only either be really visible or have the entire room darkened. For the price I would also expect some hot chocolate. I only got 4 sachets of coffee for 2 days and about 10 sachets of milk which seemed a bit disproportioned. But those are small things and I probably could've asked for more coffee. There were also some short black hair on my duvet and black spots on 2 of my towels. The loud vent and the lack of thin curtains unfortunately prevent me from giving 10 points. Staff was really nice though and helpful. I didn't try the bar or restaurant as the view wasn't nice although the chairs looked cozy.
The room was very small and basic. No cooked breakfast I should have checked thoroughly but as ive stayed in 2 other hotels over last couple of weeks within the same area to your hotel with better facilities and was cheaper I assumed it would be my dad.
Lovely welcome. Comfy room with a very comfortable bed! Bar staff were a little distracted but all in all, still a good stay
The staff were friendly and professional and the room was good as expected. This is the second time I have stayed at your hotel in Glasgow and both times the air conditioning was inadequate at cooling the room. I won't be here a third time.
Overall, the hotel was satisfactory. The front desk needs a little improvement on giving information on parking as does the hotel website. When we notified front desk of where we parked we were told we wouldn’t receive the discount as it was the wrong parking lot. No information was given to us as to where to park our car. We weren’t told when we booked our room, we weren’t told when we notified the hotel we may be late and there isn’t any information on the hotel website. We had to google the information and were told to park on Jamaica street. When we explained this to the front desk staff, they agreed someone should have informed us as to which parking lot to park in and then their reply was simply “sorry”. That’s not adequate. When you admit fault, you fix it. Looking at past reviews, the parking situation has been brought up several times and has never been resolved. We also notified management and have not received a reply. So others don’t have the same problem as we did, when making reviews on other sites , we will mention the parking situation and hopefully they will avoid this happening to them.
Clean and comfy room, friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay, as always.
Didn’t like the cups in room for 100 quid don’t think you should be drinking out stained plastic cups would have preferred normal clean ceramic ones tv restricted no volume no tv guide and couldn’t watch Netflix etc never seen that in hotel before all in all thought it was very poor value for money
Friendly team, room clean with comfy bed.
Was better 5 years ago, has been my go to but not any more. Showing signs of age, lack of care or quality. Felt less secure (quite a risky part of the city centre). No chains on room doors. Staff were less friendly. Noisy corridor. 2 green blinking smoke detector lights bothered me in the night. At breakfast the museli had run out 1.5hrs into service and empty for 2 days. Knives dirty and plate I pulled out also not clean. 2 large street front shattered windows.
Clean and tidy comfortable room helpful staff
Very good staff, excellent location
The heating had been turned off and no one at the hotel had the ability to turn it back on. This was due to having a couple of sunny days in Scotland which is wet and cold for 80% of the time. We were freezing every day.
Friendly, warm reception. Efficient reservation process. Clean, well-appointed room. Large v comfortable bed. Bathroom spotless with spacious shower room and lovely organic scented hand and body wash products. Fairtrade Clipper tea bags. Like the sustainability/quality focus for these small but enhancing items.
Hotel reception staff are friendly and helpful
Only issue was the air conditioning was really bad, only cold for few mins the started to blow out hot air so too was really stuff through night better when we turned it off and opened the window a little amount that we could
Very quick and easy check in. We were asked if we like a high floor room which we do and the room was great. Very comfy large bed and everything you need. Hotel is really well situated for shopping and train stations. Would definitely recommend it.
Very impressed and would defo stay again - room was small but functional - opportunity to use HDMI to plug in own device I liked
Check in, check out was simple and quick. This is important to me at the end of busy work day I don't want ques and delays. Relaxed atmosphere, clean & functional room. Loved it
Breakfast was a bit disappointing but everything else was fine. The staff were lovely.
Fantastic hotel, check in fast and easy, we were very impressed with our room, modern, clean and all the facilities we needed. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful during our stay.
My husband and I enjoyed our one-night stay in this hotel. Check in was quick and efficient with a very friendly receptionist. The double standard room even though quite small, was well designed for a comfortable stay. Both bedroom and bathroom were clean. We really appreciated the possibility of opening the window (that was the main reason why we chose this hotel over others in this area). The only negative part of our experience was that we couldn't get the climate control to work. It would only blow cold air and the room was quite cold late evening and night time.
I had a fantastic experience at Motel One Glasgow, my room had an amazing view, there was a really nice atmosphere in the hotel plus friendly helpful staff, the whole experience was really lovely.
We have stayed many times at MotelOne Glasgow and it always fully meets expectations.
Wonderful stay in a perfect location for our needs! Staff was very accommodating to our needs..
In the last 18 months I have stayed here about 6/7 times, the staff are always kind and welcoming. I'll be back in August ☺️

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!

Art with heart
The art at the Motel One in Glasgow takes you on a journey through the Scottish Highlands. The photography from artist duo Scullion and Dalziel captures details and impressions of romantic, rugged nature from unusual perspectives.
Hotel Glasgow
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
