Room was a bit smaller than we usually get but it was okay
Great value, lovely hotel
Great location in Glasgow , nice facilities and pleasant staff
Another great stay at Motel One. The aircon was much needed in the heat wave and I slept like a log. Really friendly staff as always and the room was spotless.
Great Motel , warm friendly staff, clean & perfect location.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was very nice; clean, well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was a delight. So few hotels have hot chocolate on the menu & the pain au chocolate was soft and delicious. I appreciate that you have a luggage storage policy for when I had checked out.
Very very expensive for what we got
Spotless room super comfortable bed shower fantastic only reason for not a 10 would have preferred more table space.
Bed was really comfy
Have been a guest previously. I was disappointed in breakfast. Not a great choice and coffee was so weak it was like water. I had thought two years ago staff looked very smart in their turquoise outfits but now they look scruffy. Lots in polo shirts and jeans.
The staff are great, always kind and helpful. The only downside I have is that there is no beer on tap at the bar.
Great staff, special thanks to Nicole at the front desk, lovely room at the top floor.
Room was very clean and comfy
Good location, clean, comfortable, modern.
Good value, looks smart downstairs and allows pets.
Special thanks to Dean who helped me out with some work printing at no charge!
Great hotel in a great location. The bar is a very relaxing and chilled place to enjoy a drink.
Never stayed before but will definitely book ahain
I have used this hotel previously and wanted to use it again because :- it was close to Glasgow Central Station the quality of the hotel the standard of room value for money
Clean, fresh and the Loveliest, most professional staff, who treat you holistically, and go that extra mile
great hotel , ideal location, clean well appointed rooms, friendly and very knowledgeable staff.
Hi! We had e nice stay in Glasgow. The staff was very friendly and patient regarding my limited understanding of the wonderful Scottish accent, check in was fast (even though there can be queues at 3 p.m.. We also got an upgrade to our room, how cool is that?
All OK
Couldn't work the Aircon so the room was cold all night
Pleasant and helpful reception staff Clean and well serviced room
Arrived Friday 3rd was put in room 105.. however complained due to the noise in the evening from other building. Receptionist eventually helped for us to change room to 939. However concerned that was told should never have been out in that room upon arrival as they knew it was a noisy room due to being adjacent with a building that played rock music. Clearly these things need to be looked at properly
Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and feel very open and private.
This is a great place to stay in Glasgow. Close to the train and metro stations, bus stops, bars and restaurants, grocery stores. The hotel spaces are nicely decorated and look modern. Our room was clean and fresh. We also enjoyed the good Wi-Fi reception. In the hotel's hall, there are a lot of spaces to sit and work (or relax).
Excellent location, clean room and comfy bed. Only negative was a long queue and wait at check-in.
It was amazing comfy bed clean quiet nice room only think I would say is our tv was very slow and wouldn’t turn on sometimes apart from that perfect!!!!
Had late check in until 2pm, some one came in room told them had late check in so they left and got a women from reception to come and bang on my door shouting I should be out room this was at 12.20pm. Reception wouldn’t even give me her name to complain as they told me there was no manager on site
What was great The organic hand/body/hair wash and fluffy towels. Speedy check in. Friendly helpful staff. What wasn’t so great One bottle of water to last three days? Come on! How about a refill station? What about those with health issues who need water to stay healthy? The extractor fan was so weak or not functioning that the bathroom smelt musty and the steam didn’t clear - had to leave the door wide open and open the windows. The room smelt of smelly socks when we initially entered the room. Not a nice welcome! We kept the windows open for the duration of our visit. The duvet was very light with no option of adding another layer. No oatmilk option for making tea/coffee. No body lotion. No way of contacting reception from the room easily. Would I stay with you again? No, especially not at that price. I fail to comprehend what I paid for for a hotel rated ‘excellent’. Not one but two disappointed guests.
Perfect! Absolutely no notes. Everything was spotless and I had two really good nights sleeps here
Limited staff on reception at check in time
Overall great hotel and location. The breakfast wasn’t worth the money in my opinion - a very basic continental with little choice.
Great stay in city centre location, hotel and staff are very welcoming.
clean tidy, friendly staff, excellent place to stay in glasgow
Lovely room, lovely hotel. Expensive breakfast though, but they all are for small women with small appetites, who subsidise large men with large appetites.
Friendly and helpful staff, especially Emma.Good facilities in the room, comfy bed great breakfast.
The reception team were polite and welcoming. The hotel was very clean, including the room, which was set up as 2 singles. When I checked in, I hopefully asked for a bag of ice for my knee. There was no hesitation from the receptionist, and he soon returned with a big bag of ice which helped enormously. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Motel One, and would definitely choose to stay again. Thank you for the good service.
Fantastic value for money. Great sized room Breakfast lets it down. Definitely not worth the extra price you probably should go across spoons across the road and get yourself a hot breakfast.
The hotel was nice with a great location. Reception area was beautiful, and room was clean, however some of the room amenities did not work. We could not get the heating to work and therefore our room was cold for the night. Additionally the smart television features did not work either. We could not get the TV onto the network, we couldn't use the apps and we couldn't cast our phones onto the TV on either.
The guy on check in was pleasant, on check out yesterday morning the girl wasn't that interested when I asked to check out. I was abruptly told "Just put your key card in the bowl" and she turned away to chat to colleagues. Not great I've stayed in several Motel One and Cloud One hotels - this is not the level of customer service I've come to expect
Great service, excellent room and central location.
All the staff were professional and friendly, it was very clean throughout the reception, hallways, lift and room. Beds and pillows were very comfy, and the temperature of the room was easily controlled. The food at breakfast was fresh and delicious with great dairy free options! Oksana, the staff member that cleaned our room did an excellent job! Great drinks at the bar at nighttime.
Very helpful team when I lost my phone and needed to make an urgent call.
Great, handy hotel we stay in each visit to Glasgow.
First time we had stayed in a Motel One. Staff were very helpful.if a bit harassed at times. Also bar wasn't set up for drinks and it was after 12.00. Otherwise it was a great experience. Loved the comfortable chairs on the ground floor. The room we were in had a fantastic view. The bed was lush. Very clean. We will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay.. spotless hotel.only one issue as with many hotels .only one chair in a twin room..
Clean, breakfast excellent everything is fresh and so on, location is wonderful thanks a lot

Six reasons why you need to visit Glasgow
Evergreen
The name Glasgow comes from Gaelic and means ‘dear green place’ – more than 90 , such as Pollock Country Park and Kelvingrove Park, are open to the public and are perfect for taking a walk or simply relaxing.
Active
There’s something on offer every day of the year here, from festivals to football matches, art-house cinema to comedy clubs. The music scene in particular is second to none, no matter whether you’re into jazz, hip hop, electro or classical. Designated by UNESCO as a City of Music, it’s not for nothing that Glasgow is home to one of the world’s most sold-out concert locations (), which hosts a constant stream of superstars. You can also discover up-and-coming musicians in bars such as or . And you can find the Scottish Opera, the National Ballet and the National Theatre here – not to mention the World Pipe Band Championships, which involve nothing less than the world championship title for bagpipes!
Wonderful(ly cheap)
The city has more than 20 museums and galleries, as well as numerous other sights, many of which have free admission – such as the , which contains one of Europe’s largest art collections, the , Glasgow’s and the .
Varied
From in a Gothic church to or in summer – Glasgow has much more than simply sightseeing to offer. is also only around 40 minutes out of the city; you can explore the national park on foot, by boat or on horseback. Gourmands can examine the production of Scotland’s national drink by visiting one of the many whisky distilleries, such as the in the middle of the city or the during a day trip out into the Highlands.
Spruced up
You might see an oversized panda just outside the front door, or an astronaut along the street: Glasgow has transformed into a real mecca for street art. You can discover some of the best artworks by taking a walk along the .
Appetising
Finnieston, in the west of the city, is Glasgow’s designated foodie district. There’s something to suit every taste, from young and cool locations to award-winning gourmet restaurants. By the way, Glasgow is also the UK’s most vegan-friendly city! It’s also got a thriving bar scene: things are no longer simply all about the (still delicious) whisky. Independent breweries have helped to establish craft beers, while juniper fans can look forward to specialised gin bars such as .

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!

Art with heart
The art at the Motel One in Glasgow takes you on a journey through the Scottish Highlands. The photography from artist duo Scullion and Dalziel captures details and impressions of romantic, rugged nature from unusual perspectives.
Hotel Glasgow
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
