The motel was lovely, check in worker great. Discussed that we had vouchers from previous motel one. It was all going well until we had breakfast and were met with an army drill sergeant and clip board. I tried a good morning in German and English but all I got was room number, room number. Second morning again tried some pleasantry but again same crap. I didn’t have the vouchers and explained my husband had them. The worker left and immediately I had another front desk worker demanding my surname. It was literally so embarrassing and really not the way to wake up. This was our third motel one on a family trip and if it’s like this we will look around.
Breakfast needs improving
Great experience! Friendly staff, good quality shower, bed and facilities, in a petite room and petite bathroom. Great for one or two overnights: tight for a week (!) and perfect for our one night in Berlin! Best part is the bar (fantastically stocked with a bartender who knows what they are doing), free lemon-orange water to take - a godsend in the heat - and cosy relaxed chairs & sofas to hang out in inbetween with a lounge music relaxed vibe. Location was a few stops from Alexander Platz and just off Kreuzberg. Ideal for our stay…
All round a good experience. Staff members were all willing to engage and extremely helpful. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and proximity of the hotel to Moritzplatz made it easy to get around the city via Ubahn but it is a long walk from central sites. There is a well stocked Lidl supermarket over road, a convenience store/post office even closer and a couple of fast food places nearby. The Public areas of this hotel were smaller than others we've visited, perhaps because it wasn't centre city. We didn't eat breakfast here, the buffet offered the usual range of German-style fare. The layout looked tighter, possibly to meet the space available or the demand.
Location, room and staff were all great. I will stay again.
Room was nice, slept well. Overall good experience, some minor wishes, access to a small gym would be nice. One or two more power outlets for charging my electronics would have been nice, and the breakfast was a bit on the spartan side, otherwise it was very good.
Wasted approximately 6-8 hours due to the technical issues of the direct online booking system (it was very embarrassing, amount had been deducted in Step4 of the booking process from our credit card, but the confirmation did not arrive so had to contact the hotel directly the next day to investigate and try to finalize booking). Lobby area is nicely designed, however the rooms are inappropriate for 2 people, claustrophobic sensation even in single use. The AC (fan-coil?) was NOT working, the room was extremely hot. Window could not be opened during the night as the street is very noisy. The blankets are extremely warm for these circumstances - so we found the 3 nights very challenging with continuous sweating. Additionally, the sun was heating our room for the majority of the day.... We accepted the suggestion at check-in not requesting cleanup for environment protection considerations - a bottle of complimentary cold water each day would have been appreciated in return (we got 1 bottle on arrival). Positive notes: friendly bar tender, good buffet breakfast, easily accessible location by public transport
o.A.
I think the rooms were small and lacked basic facilities like a kettle to make tea/coffee. The breakfast was very basic and at busy times there were no tables available to eat. It was quiet at night and having the metro close was very convenient.
Very helpful staff. Room well cared for. Comfortable room. However, no kettle in the room so no ability to make own drinks or add to food (eg porridge). Breakfast expensive for what it was (purchased separately).
This was the second time I stayed at this hotel, and just like the last time, I was very satisfied. The room was adequately sized, and the bed was comfortable. I might have missed having an extra chair in the room, and a small refrigerator would have been nice, but these were not issues that detracted from the positive impression. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but good.
Alles super
I love how modern, stylish and cozy these hotels are, with the color curtains, artwork and fire tv screensaver
Rooms were nice. Parking spaces were also convenient. However, while we did reserve a EV charging spot beforehand, the spots were taking for a couple of days by cars that were not even charging. This could have been better arranged and managed by the hotel. Additionally, the airconditioning in our room, but also the of our travelling companions was not sufficient to cool down the room. This meant we had to sleep with the window open at night, which increased noise levels subtantially.
Sorry but the aircon in our rooms was a joke. You must fix this.
Good Service, nice and clean rooms
Overall ok. Breakfast a bit overpriced for what it offers. Having Bio butter is great, but packed in aluminum? If you want to be green and Bio, this can be done better. The not working AC is an NoGo. If MotelOne is a green hotel this is fine, but the limitation with the AC should be stated clearly on the website It was too hot in the room! That is the reason why the rating is rather low.
alles super
Pretty nice, perfect service, no waiting times, nice breakfast.
I was hoping for a bigger room and a cupboard
I liked the stay, one can cleary see that a lot of thought was put into the design of the rooms. I especially appreciate the breakfast with vegetarian/vegan and bio options. Only small things to improve - a towel hanger nearer the bathroom sink would be good, I also missed a trash bin (it was only at the toilet I believe).
Such a great place and lovely people! Overall more than satisfied! ☺️
Lovely hotel with friendly staff
Again I have inheritate the room 028...and the overall temperature was more or less ok but the bathroom was really cold. I have reclaimed and I was only explained the rule related to the heating guideline...not really satisfying. I am coming again on the 8th to the 10th of April and I have to say that I would be happy to have the room "special one" with no extra
Nice location, very clean and modern room. Very friendly staff. Perfect - and price as fair for quality of room, location and beauty of the whole hotel.
Excellent hotel with helpful staff and in a wonderful location
It would have been a 10 if there had been tea and coffee in the room
I was stuck in Munchen because of technical problems on my flight to Berlin on Friday night so I didn’t arrive at Motel One. I sent an email immediately when flight was cancelled but never had reply
Motel One Berlin Mitte lost zijn slogan volledig "Like the price - Love the design" in.
All Bio is the best
all receptionists very relaxed, helpful, friendly and communicative. Our requirements fully met as always with various Motel Ones we have been staying at.
Nice people, very supportive, thanks a lot
All good apart that I could not heat my room at all, and it was really cold
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. comfortable rooms and good breakfast
Very nice hotel with friendly staff and compact but nice rooms in top condition and cleanliness. No minibar in the rooms in a minus. The bar should renew the whiskey inventory. The breakfast is poor and overpriced - only basics like bread, croissant, cornflakes, yogurt & coffee and the only "main dish" at breakfast is soft boiled egg, every morning - insulting and inadequate for 18€. Aside from the breakfast, a very good hotel.
Nice easy and pleasant hotel.
Friendly helpful staff, spotless (although small) rooms with good quality decor and working perfectly. Easy to moderate temperature as well as window that opened; good lighting with useful magnifiying mirror in bathroom. Bed was comfy and pillows good. Fabulous location and very reasonable cost. In particular we loved the bar / lobby / breakfast area which was decorated well and a very easy relaxed space to enjoy. We liked the luggage store which was helpful too.
My overall experience was very good, as always.
After a long night out, we we're searching for a Hotel close by so we could rest. Motel One unexpectedly gave us the room during the day already, and we really had the best stay possible. The staff was super nice and helped us with everything.
Room was clean but very small. Staff were friendly. A basic product but fine for the price.
We stay in many Motel Ones and this one at the Moritz Platz in Berlin was really nice. The reception staff, breakfast and everyone around was super friendly. Especially Tassmin on the front desk. We had a lovely time. Looking forward to be back again.
Alles top
I had a good stay and remain a fan of the concept of MotelOne, but this particular house could do with some updates. Such as repairing the front door, or upgrading the tv to respond with less than a minute delay. And running out of the regional beer seems unnecessary, too.
Friendly and professional staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Good facilities
Friendly employees, Check-in really efficient, clean, got all you need for a short trip, volume of the room are ok. The only downside for me was the Wi-fi which is so bad that I had to use my iPhone as hotspot.
Alles top!
The Hotel is worth the price, vert clean, friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay.
There was an absolutely terrible smell throughout the property and bedroom that was like sewage
I was very impressed with the hotel (which my brother had booked for me). The room was very comfortable and nicely designed. There were thick curtains allowing me to sleep in the morning and it was nice and quiet (I had a back-facing room). The breakfast (for 16 euros) was a steal - strong coffee, fruit, bread, muesli. I also liked the reception area was arranged and decorated. I would stay again for sure.
I will always return.

A TOUR OF BERLIN’S DISTRICTS
Explore the districts of Germany's capital on this tour from Mitte to Charlottenburg.
Hotel Berlin Mitte
Are you fascinated by Berlin’s historic past? Then our Motel One Berlin-Mitte, situated in the heart of the Kreuzberg district, is an excellent base for exploring the capital’s history-steeped sights. After all, the Berlin Wall once stood 100 metres from our affordable design hotel. Today, Checkpoint Charlie, the Rotes Rathaus (Red Town Hall), the Märkisches Museum and – essential for taking breaks while sightseeing – numerous delightful cafés and restaurants are all situated nearby. Karl-Marx-Allee, the Bode Museum and Potsdamer Platz are also relatively close. Thanks to our hotel’s prime location by Moritzplatz underground station, you can easily reach the Brandenburg Gate, Friedrichstrasse, the East Side Gallery and Alexanderplatz via public transport. Another very special highlight: the Prinzessinnengarten is right around the corner from the Motel One Berlin-Mitte, whose greenery is also reflected in our lounge. The 38 and 28 lamp series by Bocci, which feature real plants and a refreshingly organic colour scheme, add a botanic flair to the lighting above the bar. The bar itself maintains an industrial look thanks to its concrete aesthetic, and mirrored surfaces add a certain depth. As you can already see – our hotel is just as multifaceted as the city itself!
In the One Lounge, the modern work titled ‘The One’ by Berlin artist Freddy Reitz depicts the history of the division between East and West Berlin.
During your stay, you’ll have many opportunities to take a closer look at the piece in minute detail while basking in the pleasant ambience. Whether enjoying breakfast, an afternoon cappuccino or a gin and tonic at the bar in the evening: there’s a spot in our One Lounge reserved just for you. Take advantage of comfortable lounge furniture by Moroso and Diesel featuring eccentric patterns and prints.
We’ve also given your sleeping spot a similarly alternative vibe: in your room, you’ll be able to look up at Freddy Reitz’s art as soon as you wake up, as one of her pieces hangs right above your bed in perfect harmony with the concrete look of the wallpaper. Graffiti at the Motel One Berlin-Mitte doesn’t only grace the walls – you’ll find it on the floors, too! The carpet by designer Jan Kath in the breakfast area is an homage to Berlin’s enthusiasm for street art. Classics like the Arne Jacobson egg chair round off the design of the hotel, allowing you to quickly forget that you’re ‘just’ here for the night. As usual, you’ll also enjoy free WiFi and the service of friendly staff. Join us at our affordable hotel in the centre of Berlin and delve into the city’s moving history during your holiday or business trip.
