Extremely near to Aldgate Underground (2min walk). 10min walk to the Tower Bridge and Bridge theatre. We know what we get when we book at MotelOne and it never dissapoints. Very friendly staff and service minded. We very much enjoyed it. Loved the tasty water at the reception desk! Nice idea.
I loved my stay at the hotel, it was beautiful, clean, well organised and practical. The view from the room was great and I intend to return soon
The location and cleanliness of this hotel is superior. However, there was a damp smell in the bathroom, probably as a result of missing ventilation. I would also suggest staying on a higher floor as the rattling of the tube could be felt on the first floor. Overall I can't recommend staying here enough and will probably return again!
Amazing hotel close to the center by train and in a safe area. Easy walk to Tower Hill and other famous sites. Kind and welcoming staff, cozy reception with lounge area, nice rooms and good bed. Will stay there again
All in all, I enjoyed my 3rd stay in this hotel. The prices, however, were clearly too high (roughly 100% higher compared to my last stay in Oct.2023) and not justified for a 3-star hotel.
We are really m1 lovers. We stayed in M1 Rotterdam, zurich and now Antwerp. But sory to say Londen was really bad. The staff in the breakfastroom doesn't say goodmorning or looks at you. They only look to the ground. You don't feel welcome. Cleaning of the room and reception was very good. Door of the breakfast room and bar was broken we sat 4 mornings and evenings in a cold bar and breakfastroom. The ladies of the breakfast Room we heard them gossiping behind the coffee machine about guests which is not okay. You feel to much as a guest. One toilet was broken in the breakfast area and when sitting in the breakfastroom you only see dirty fingers and drippers on the glass of the bar. We wanted to order a local beer in the cold bar in the evening but they ran out of local beer !!! So we needed to take a Peroni. Come on make sure to make it possible to support the local economy. Room was very small although we booked the most expensive. No safety closet which is a pitty. Right now we are in M1 Antwerp and they show how it needs to be. Part of the staff in Londen is worthless which make you feel unwelcome which we are not used in M1. We are really fan of M1 but if Londen would be the first hotel we should have tried we would change to Hampton by Hilton and never come back. Your colleagues of Antwerp gave us back the trust in M1. Things are going to easy for you guys in Londen so no need to take care of your guests, they will come anyway which is not okay. Sorry to say this but there is quite some work needed to make M1 Londen matching with the service in your other hotels !
It was my 3rd time in your hotel and I enjoyed it again - a lot. Your super friendly staff gave me a warm welcome and everyone was just great.
Good experience. However I didn’t sleep at all well as the room was much too light, thanks to a light shining through the ceiling from the roof void. Also the heating/aircon was difficult to control.
Great and friendly service, nice (if slightly dark) room, great location, comfy bed.
Brilliant as usual, just a 9 score this time as the front door was broken and hoover going in the lobby all weekend hoovering up the petals blown in, not a major issue though
We had very, very pleasant stay! #thankyoumotelonetowerhilllondonteam
The room was clean and the bed very comfy. However, the bathroom had a smell to it and the extractor fan did not appear to be working (the bathroom steamed up when taking a shower). The sound proofing is also very poor. The lift moving or someone turning the tap on in the surrounding rooms caused a lot of noise and woke me up a few times
The shower pressure was low to the point of being a trickle on both mornings Lobby is vey welcoming but the room was very austere with a basic feel. No USB charger on plugs which
I enjoyed my 3 night stay at Motel One overall but it is not without fault. The hotel was quiet, well run and professional. Like many chains there was a lack of warmth from the front desk and the staff didn't do anything to make me feel special. In contrast I stayed at another chain for 3 nights in Durham and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. I have taken three points off as there was a horrible sewage malodor in the bathroom and the internal staircase smelled of vomit. The rooms are tiny, a couple would struggle in the space if they had anything other than weekend bags. These rooms are promoted as design led but there is nothing special about the rooms they feel very corporate. Finally the staff need to welcome people, the service felt robotic and it definitely lacked personal touch. I was on the 15th floor in a city view room, I understand these are premium but the vile smells in the room and staircase needs to be resolved. The hotel is expensive for the standard of the room provided. Another strange design choice is the low level of the pendants in the lounge area. I had to sit at the side of the table to avoid having a lampshade in my face. It's almost as if comfort has taken second place to a rather bland corporate design aesthetic. I'll stay here again in July simply because of the proximity to my office, it's such a shame that the rooms are nondescript, the stench in rooms that should be spotless was barely tolerable and the staff are po faced.
Excellent stay. Was upgraded to a city view room with panoramic views over the city of London. All staff and the room cleaners were super friendly.
Clean, everything works, nice athmospheare, nice staff, good place. I didnt TaKe breakfast.
Superb motel for the price. Great location. Staff friendly and efficient, great bar/lounge area for late night drink. Rooms clean and comfortable. We will certainly use this motel again
A very predictable and high standard of accommodation across the group at a very competitive price.
perfect location, good location, friendly staff, good breakfast and a pleasant atmosphere at the bar
Lovely hotel with a very nice foyer and bar. Nice continental breakfast selection, with several vegan options. Room was clean and had a good unsuited. Only let down was the room smelt like sweaty feet
Extremely friendly staff and the hotel was definitely more beautiful in person. Very clean too. It was perfect for a short trip, i was very pleased. Overall it was worth going to, I’d visit again. Would definitely recommend.
Alles top!
Great experience overall. The bar stools are either to high or the bar to low to sit comfortably. No smart TV, and a very slippery and quite dangerous shower floor. But those are just minor issues overall.
The location, service, and ambience were good. The fact that the room window couldn't be opened was a major drawback for us.
Well organized hotel with friendly staff, absolutely nice and clean rooms. Very good location near bus and underground stations. Recommendable at any time!
The bathroom had no extractor fan so couldn’t use the mirrors at all as they kept steaming up
Best price for value in town!
Perfect location, whether you're here for business or leisure. Just a short walk from Liverpool Street (Station) and the Tower of London. Plenty of things to do, spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants/eateries. Aldgate Station just a minute away, bus stop outside the hotel. Rooms are of a decent size, considering the location. A small fridge to keep food/beverages below room temperature would be a huge plus as would be the availability of a spoon.
I always enjoy returning to London and the Motel One; A different group of greeters from when I was in town in December 2023 -but that is to be expected in these days of staff turnaround; Great facility - clean and well run; The dispensers of flavoured water a great plus; The front desk staff could smile a bit more and say hello in the morning though I know that is a particularly busy time!
Fantastic location, super nice staff, very clean, tasty drinks with great Gin variety! Would love at least a little bit of storage space in the room tho. Size of the room was great, bed super comfortable but had to live out if my luggage because there was just this one hanger and no shelves.
Basic hotel - stay was fine, nice and quiet, one thing...The bed is quite hard and it seemed to be 2 singles bottom bits pushed together so there was a small gap between!!! nice touch would be free water in room...
I arrived realizing that I didn't actually have a booking - I always book Motel One when I am in London, which is at least 6 times a year, so I must have simply forgotten to book. The colleague at reception was super helpful and understanding, and got me a room without further ado. Clean and quiet room, despite being just opposite the lift-banks. Many thanks!
Great value for money. Fantastic location. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Bathroom clean and stylish. Quiet.
Service was very good, breakfast and lobby lounge design great, the final room i got was good and in line with Motel One standard. First room i was offered and around the room had a weed smell to it, which the team quickly rectified.
The option to cancel the room until the check-in day at 6:00 PM is an exceptional feature that I greatly appreciate I enjoyed my stay in Motel One in London. The location is fantastic, the room although basic was very clean and comfortable . I should have liked some light window drapes for a better sense of privacy in the room and slightly better quality toilet paper. The reception staff mostly lacked friendliness, particularly a Spanish lady who was working at the reception on Friday morning. She was unnecessarily rude when I inquired about an early check-in. While I understand that this may be a recurring question that she finds frustrating, there is no excuse for making a guest feel uncomfortable due to her visibly irritated reaction to a simple inquiry. Unlike the reception staff, the cleaning ladies were very kind and extremely helpful and made me feel welcome.
The guy on reception said it was too early to check in which I understand so sat in the lounge to wait , but less than 5 minutes later started checking in people just arriving he did this for the next 30 minutes about 8 more people checked in He knew I was waiting to check in and he could clearly see me waiting in the lounge but not once did he gesture for me to come and check in or come over and notify me so I went asked to him at reception to ask can I check in now and just shrugged his shoulders and looked on the computer screen the decides to say yes I can This was rude, mean and very unfriendly welcome to my stay
Comfortable hotel, welcoming lounge, helpful and friendly staff
Toooooo hot in room, aircondition not working good Bathroom door not staying open
Great for the price point, but limited storage in the room would mean that I wouldn't stay for more than one or two nights. Very little clothes hanging space and no draws or shelves. Have to live out of a case in a small room.
Room was completely dark, no daylight exposure.
Brilliant location, clean rooms, comfy beds, excellent and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
À particular thanks to the whole team and particularly to Mariela and Andrei for their services.
It was very nice. Heating in room worked well and location was very convenient for tower bridge and surrounding area.
Great hotel, handy location and friendly staff.
Good choice as usual!
Very comfortable hotel, with great facilities. The staff always welcome guests with a beaming smile...which just make you feel that you're checking in somewhere good.
Very comfortable room, staff very friendly, great location near Aldgate tube and 5 minute walk to Tower of London.
everything was completely fine, nice hotel, nice location, friendly staff The breakfast however was not good- which is why I skipped it on the second stay.
I liked the hotel a lot, nice feel 2 things I would request to improve: - Please can you add herbal teas to the provided self service drinks trays in rooms? - Please can you offer an english breakfast (I avoid breakfasting here as I found the continental breakfast overpriced and nothing special)
Lovely vibe in the seating/reception area. Nice clean room. Good TV and WIFI. Room was quite small but value for money.
