This was our second stay at your property in the past 3 years. Your front desk staff were great and the location good. Our big problem was the terrible bed. The mattress was very uncomfortable! We are members of your ONE club and have stayed at many Motel Ones while in Europe. The other properties in Europe seem to have comfortable beds.
Wonderful stay. The staff were brilliant and the breakfasts were fabulous. Til next time. Anne x
Bed very comfortable, food excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back. Highly recommend it.
Prima hotel. Ligging centraal.
Very nice loby , I could invite family members for a drink - i used the loby also to work - very confortable. The bed ( matrass very good- and the room relaxing The location abolutly perfect , in the center and on the same time not fare from all types of transportation facilities I recommend the Hotel
The staff are very friendly, breakfast is definitely the highlight of the stay, and the location is good. The only reason I don't give this hotel a perfect score is due to the variance in room sizes. I was part of a group that stayed there, and in comparing pictures of the rooms, even though in the same price category, they range massively in size
Loved the hotel - comfortable and quiet room, good breakfast, cool bar, excellent location! Staff was nice too. Only complaint is that we had to have streaming apps to watch television. We subscribe to a few of them but couldn't remember our passwords so we couldn't watch.
Very good service and clean rooms. Service at the bar was excellent, Beatriz and Federico were very diligent. We will return.
Great Location. Friendly Staff, Rooms are a little small but the combination is a real value and a high quality experience.
To be honest, I am quite disappointed with Motel One Copenhagen! So far I've stayed in a Motel One in Amsterdam, Zurich, Prague, Salzburg, Warsaw and Brussels. But the one in Copenhagen simply can't keep up. Please don't misunderstand: the staff were friendly and helpful as usual and the breakfast was plentiful and varied as usual, but the room (326) was an outrage for the price! The size is okay, but the room and the bathroom are worn out and you can see that! In addition, no safe, no table and no armchair in the room, which is annoying as a contact lens wearer, because I like to sit to get them in and out! I was at least given a chair in the room on request! In the bathroom there is a centimetre gap to the left and right of the shower door. So you splash all over the place and the gradient in the shower area is clearly too low. The water stands there. And there is no magnifying mirror either! And that for the TV a Chromecast stick is required, is a bad joke! I would recommend that you bring this wing (corridor also old and worn out, just like the outer lift door) up to date as quickly as possible, because I won't recommend this hotel to anyone!
Our room, though small, was comfortable and clean. Finding the rooms could be difficult since they are laid out in a rather maze-like fashion (I do not see how you could change that; hallway signage is adequate. However, once we found our room, we had no trouble getting back to it. Motel One's location is excellent. The area is artsy, with many interesting shops, bars, and restaurants. Best of all, there seemed to be very few cars on the street, a lot of bikes and pedestrian, but hardly any cars. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the canal, centre ville, art galleries, and museums. Really, we could not have chosen a better place to stay. One negative for me: no coffee in the individual rooms. Yes, the bar and the restaurant are right there, but I would have like to have coffee in my room
Great location and everything was within easy walking distances. friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast was good value for money. Bar was well stocked and we enjoyed the Autumn cocktails. We agreed that it was the most comfortable bed we had slept in for along time. The only thing is that we couldn't log into the TV. But we weren't in our room that much anyway.
Wonderful staff! Lovely 1st floor…very cozy! Great breakfasts. Rooms were adequate but very small. Truthfully, small is generally ok if you put in appropriate shelving and hooks. There’s nowhere to put one’s toiletries!! Management should consult someone who ho could add a place to put “stuff”. Finally, no lotion or conditioner?! No excuse for that!
Compared to other Motel One locations, the Copenhagen one does not live up to the expecations. Nothing bad, just not as good.
I have stayed more than 15 Motel One Hotels, so I am very familiar with helpful staff. This time I have experienced 2 ladies which were still doing great jobs I am sure but never seen them smiling, as if they were working by force. I stayed 3 nights and spent lots of time in lobby, bar and breakfast and had to talk to them, they were all same. Apart from that, even though housekeepers came, towels never changed even though we put them floor. No way for strollers while entering to the hotel, we had to carry our baby in each time while coking and going out. And the extra doors of elevators were too heavy to open by a single person.
Nice furniture. The staff was good.
Rooms had zero amenities and no soundproofing. If someone sneezed a block away on the street you could hear it. No fridge, no coffee maker, and most importantly no warning about the belltower that chimed every 15 minutes from 8am to midnight. Breakfast was extremely overprice and should have been included.
Very friendly service, nice clean room, big bathroom, super Cocktails and bikes can be rented directly.
Staff great . Room / cleanliness great . Breakfast good . Facilities perfect for my needs . Location great . Temperature a bit high , but better than cold .
Everything was good. Stuff was friendly and open, only one thing I really disliked, that when I arrived at 9 and asked for early check in (and there were rooms available) I was asked to pay premium. It's such an unpleasant attitude that if I booked a basic room, I can't be welcomed... it wouldn't have cost the hotel anything to let me into the room sooner, but I was shown the place..
Super friendly staff Uncomplicated check in, check out Totally reliable Perfect location Excellent breakfast Last but not least stylish design
In Summe sehr gut
Excellent service from all the team at Motel One Copenhagen. Well located for metro and local attractions and restaurants.Room spotless upon arrival and daily cleaning very thorough. Friendly and attentive reception staff - particularly from Minela. A wonderful weekend, completing the Copenhagen half marathon. Thank you.
All good... very nice rooms and exceptional friendly staff at the reception. We had a really nice stay! Thanks a lot also to Alexander and Marcello!! Best regards
I was satisfied with everything. The reception and communication was outstanding. Breakfast excellent.
It was okay. Couldnt sleep well because I was able to hear my neighbours from top to bottom. Also, I've paid a lot for 4 nights (~9000 DKK) and I was only eligible for a bottle of water as a welcoming gift? It would have been better to not get anything...
There is no air con in this hotel & albeit there was a special event in the city, the prices were outrageous for this type of hotel with zero room amenities and the size of the room.
Pros , very convenient location, friendly staff, big room with ceiling fan, breakfast good. Could hear the town hall clock, comfortable lounge/bar and courtyard Cons. Unfortunately our room was above a noisy bar(nothing to do with the hotel). Not able to make hot drink in room. The dining room is a little small
Our stay at Motel One in Copenhagen was fantastic. Friendly and welcoming staff, especially Nina in the Restaurant every morning during breakfast. Comfortable beds, greats shower. Fantastic selection of food items for breakfast and it was in a great central location.
Basic but clean and tidy hotel, would have loved coffee facilities in-room x
Clean and quiet room, kind and helpful staff, nice breakfast, perfect location in Copenhagen for me. I recommend it, and will stay here again!
We had a great time at MO Copenhagen, we got a free room upgrade which was amazing and really made our stay. All the facilities were fantastic and the staff were so friendly. I would stay here again 100%
Super location, clean, good drinks and staff are fabulous
All the staff are very friendly, especially Marcelo. The hotel is well located. Everything is very clean. The only downside is that the room is very small and uncomfortable, and the bed is set up as a sofa bed. The breakfast is good.
:-) Perfect location. Nice breakfast room. Nice bar. :-( Breakfast should be served from 0630! Small room, missing a desk, a small one would do.
Great city, great location, nice room, very quiet and clean, delicious breakfast, friendly team
Everything you need for a short trip to Copenhagen, excellent location, friendly atmosphere and vibe😊
Smooth from start to finish; everyone was pleasant and helpful. breakfast wonderful (as usual). These were our 3rd and 4th stays with your hotel. We recommend it frequently. Thank you
Comfy beds Rooms can get quite hot - no AC or air flow from window Needs a mini bar with water/drinks/snacks.
Comfortable accommodations in a great location. Helpful, friendly staff. Centrally located and walkable. Get the breakfast! Plentiful, varied, and delicious!
We enjoyed our stay at Motel One Copenhagen. Excellent location, excellent buffet breakfast, and excellent service. We had an incident of a clogged shower drain that sent water across the room floor. Minela came to our rescue by expertly cleaning up the mess and fixing the shower drain problem. We especially appreciated her energetic and resourceful response. She has a bright and cheerful personality that guests can truly appreciate.
The Motel One in Copenhagen is a lovely place to stay, very well positioned and easy to reach all parts of the city, plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were exemplary and very friendly.
Excellent staff. Particularly Dragos who assisted me during check in. Location was great. Room was lovely, clean and Comfortable. Very good base to explore Copenhagen. It would be great if there was tea/coffee facility in room and a table perhaps.
Super friendly service, nice premises, urban vibes, very nice room.
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our recent stay at Motel One Copenhagen. The location is excellent, you can walk to all the major sights, restaurants and shops, and the street where the hotel is located is pleasantly quiet. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, ready to assist in any way. The breakfast buffet was very good, and our room was quite lovely. I would stay at another Motel One the next time we travel.
I have stayed at Motel One establishments in Germany, Ireland, Scotland, and now in Denmark. I think it's the best place I can stay for interesting, safe neighborhoods, great breakfasts, and comfortable accommodations. I appreciate that the common areas are good for socializing or spending some quiet moments. (The choice of music is not great however.)
While the room was spacious, I very much missed the opportunity to sit down - there was no chair or stool in the room. Further, I cannot understand the extremely limited space for placing things. A proper desk or nightstand that allows for putting down - in my case - my glasses, a mobile phone or a book would make the stay less like camping. At 215 Euros a night, that shouldn’t be asked too much.
The hotel room was cute and we enjoyed our stay! The room was quiet and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable too.
rooms are adequate
As most Motel ONE, is stylish and well located. Cons: 30 minutes waiting time at the reception seems too long of this type of hotel. So it wasn’t a great start. Rooms are cool, even the small ones. Staff is nice, specially the Spanish ladies at the bar were very kind and friendly

Your hotel in Copenhagen
Our affordable design hotel in Copenhagen is located right in the centre of the Danish capital, opposite the city hall and the Rådhuspladsen. From here, you can easily reach all of Copenhagen’s top sights – and there are plenty of them to explore. After all, the capital is one of the most important cities in northern Europe and a popular destination for city breaks, not least because it offers one of the best qualities of life in the world.
What does Copenhagen have to offer?
Top of the list of highlights is the city’s iconic landmark, The Little Mermaid. The statue of the character from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale awaits you on the Langelinie waterside promenade, around 30 minutes from our hotel. You’ll also find Copenhagen’s citadel here, a star-shaped 17th century fortress open to the public. And did you spot Charlottenborg Palace and the Old Stock Exchange on the walk over? You’ll also have passed Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish parliament. It’s conveniently located by Copenhagen’s gastronomic hub, Nyhavn, or ‘new harbour’. There’s something to suit everyone’s tastes in the streets of this area, with their brightly coloured gabled houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. But Copenhagen’s lively history as a port and trading city – and the resulting architecture – is far from the only reason to visit. By the harbour, you’ll find the Royal Danish Theatre and Royal Danish Library, also known as the ‘Black Diamond’. Here, it’s not just what’s on the inside that counts: these notable examples of modern architecture are worth a stop on any city tour. And if they’ve inspired you to seek out more Nordic design, the Design Museum Denmark displays objects from the workshops of Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Just a short walk from our hotel lies Freetown Christiania, an autonomous area that offers a very different perspective on Copenhagen – including from an architectural point of view. The alternative housing development in the district of Christianshavn has been self-governed since its creation in the 1970s and is a symbol of Denmark’s progressive culture. Our hotel in Copenhagen is also a perfect starting point for leisure activities: Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park, lies directly opposite. Or is Copenhagen just the first step on your Nordic discovery tour? Perfect: our affordable design hotel is located just north of the Øresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen with its neighbour Sweden.
