Wet well located and affordable, newly renovated, very clean and neat, good reception, highly recommended for a few day stay in Antwerp. Unfortunately no direct parking at the hotel but a few options pretty close by, a bit costly though. Overall very good impression
I reserved à parking Space which was not available due to constructions in the street. I was disappointed not to be informed before hand that there was a problem. It would have made the arrival less stressful as I had to find another solution on my own.
Fab location; funky design; well-appointed rooms; great breakfast; friendly staff. What more do you need?
With one annoying exception all staff I encountered very friendly helpful staff, interesting design especially in common parts. Great breakfast buffet. Generally quiet but central location until some staff make crazy decisions! BUT more focus should be in practicality and making things work. Maybe opening was too rushed. 1. Both block 2 lifts failed on departure date. 2. Regular problem with exiting main entrance door. 3. Block doors sometimes don't open. 4. Bathroom doors slam shut noisily like fire doors and need to be propped open with case chair or bin. Worse than room door which does need to be fire door. Crazy and sloppy design. 5. Aircon makes noise but no difference to room temperature but you discourage opening windows. 6. No kettle etc. unlike your UK hotels 7.lounge seats look fun but most far too low for comfort 8. Bottles emptied loudly into recycling bins around 1am 9. Maintenance with drilling from 6am. 10. Loose wobbly paving stones in garden. 11. Maid who knocked on my door 5 times in 20 mins up to noon check up did not speed me up but slowed down my packing. Way too impatient. 12 at times inadequate reception staff. Need one person like a concierge for quick issues not long checkins. On departure we waited 15 mins to be able to get out luggage from storage as staff busy with check-in queue.
Well located. Very clean. Staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. Exceptional bed. The breakfast was average, with few choices and variety, especially in savory options. The shower, as is unfortunately common in many hotel chains, does not have enough coverage, resulting in it literally flooding the entire bathroom. A small refrigerator would be really very helpful.
Nice hotel, best location. The personal is extremely kind and smiling. Everything was just fine! We like Motel One!
Lovely hotel. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean, staff friendly and helpful. would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel to stay in the rooms are spacious. Also situated in a lovely area and only a 5 minute walk from the metro. Would highly recommend Motel One Antwerp.
A wonderful, comfortable, clean hotel with really friendly staff right in the middle of town. Would definitely come again
The hotel is in a very good location, it's very clean and the staff are very helpful. Only down was that there seems to be a damp smell in the whole hotel. First night was going to bed and noticed the duvet inside the cover had either blood or red wine stains. Staff member was fabulous and came with a fresh and clean product and an apology. Excellent handling of a problem.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good location and well organised breakfast. Perhaps the air conditioning could be set to a slightly higher temperature to save some energy.
great business hotel. central location and excellent facilities
A smart hotel in great location. Best of all the staff were really welcoming.
I'm really happy with the hotel! I slept so well and had a great rest on the way. Thanks a lot. The only thing that feels a bit off for me is the carpet in the room. I like walking around barefoot, but I'm kind of a clean freak, so it doesn’t feel nice stepping on it with bare feet.
We chose this hotel as it was in a good location action and most significantly offered on site parking. When we arrived we were told car park not available due to access being impossible because of roadworks. It became immediately obvious that these roadworks had been in place for some time yet no prior warning was given by the hotel. However they had a ready printed list of public car parks which serves to highlight that this was a problem known for some time. To make matters worse the first car park on the list was inaccessible due to roadworks!! Once in the room, we found the a/c wouldn’t work, back to reception, they organised a maintenance visit which took place within 15 minutes, he spent 15 minutes attending, declared it fixed and said it would take 10/15 minutes to start! I doubted that, we went out came back an hour later to check and not working. Finally a room swap solved the problem. It was 33° C so a/c essential. In compensation for all this inconvenience we were given a token for a free drink each at the bar. Other than that, we were happy with our stay.
Liked that my room faced the courtyard, it was very quiet. Very friendly staff, great location and good breakfast. The only thing I missed and that I miss at all Motel One hotels is a kettle in the room. And it would also be great if I don't have to look at the fish on the tv-screen whenever I insert the keycard in the keyslot, but I'll definitely stay at this hotel the next time I'm going to Antwerp.
Great - very new hotel - in a fantastic location and very nice terrace. The staff are very friendly and professional! 🔝
Lovely hotel with a modern interior. Staff very friendly and good areas to sit inside and out. Central location a short walk from Grote Markt. Good breakfast and overall an excellent stay in Motel One Antwerp.
Great staff; rooms tidy; good design; very clean. The air conditioning could have worked better (seemed very weak and like it wasn't really cooling). But top marks on all else.
Everything was excellent. Late checkout. The lobby design. The location in the city was phenomenal.
Newly built hotel, so everything looks pretty neat. The room has a nice view on the center area. Not many amenities in room, missing a waste basket, only one in bathroom. Good elevators. Breakfast had very good coffee, bread and croissants. Missed fresh orange juice and omeletts but not a big issue. Staff very friendly and efficient. Room in general very good. Safety closet very inconvenient. No amenities, not even water, no fridge, no coffee machine or waterboiler
Superb customer service - we appreciated being able to check in early. The room was excellent and the breakfast was full and reasonalbly priced. The hotel’s location was also excellent.
Excellent!
Very friendly staff Room very clean, comfortable beds Bathroom was small and no space to put washbag
Rooms are rather small and the open shower is rather annoying as it splashes water all over the floor when taking a shower!
We were surprised and pleased to find this lovely hotel. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. Located very well
Excellent location. Clean. Friendly staff. The bar and lobby come in handy for coffe, drinks, light snacks .
Comfortable, clean room and an excellent breakfast, at a reasonable price. Less that 10 scores only because of (1) I was cold in the evenings in the room and unable to raise the the temperature: turning the thermostat dial and fan settings did not make a difference; (2) a sulphurous smell in the bathroom on the first morning, not sure whether from the water or the air conditioning.
Super nice space and facilities. Convenient location, easy to access, and helpful staff.
amazing location. very hipster building! bed and shower like always!
alles war gut
Great location, friendly staff & clean accommodation. Only drawbacks, no tea or coffee making facilities in rooms and the windows could have had some form of net curtains as we were overlooking garden area for privacy.
Despite a good reception, the rooms are small, noisy (you can ear the other rooms), and not practical when it comes to light gestion. Also, nothing is planned for travelers with cars, and the city doesn't like visitors, they can't park anywhere except paying 25€ the night...
It would have been better if there were a hot water maker to have some tea in the room and more amenities like tooth brush and tooth paste.
Very well located in the center of the city, though in a very quiet area. The interiors are very well decorated and very pleasant, not trivial. The room lacks of a small fridge, a coffe/tea facility, and the bathroom is extremely small (and without a window!)
Very nice facility. Friendly staff. Close to sights, restaurants. Enjoyed our stay.
Very impressive property. Lobby looks like an art gallery! Room, smallish but beautiful! Staff very nice and helpful.
Nice place to be! To bad that the airconditioning didn't work as I expected.
Fantastic hotel in a very central location. Close to several coffee shops, restaurants and the famous Kloosterstraat with its antique stores. A definite bonus was that dogs are allowed to stay in the hotel for a small 15€/night fee. The staff were very friendly, the rooms cozy and clean.
My hotel room 410 had a sewage piping problem which I indicated the smell was horrible. I indicated this to the receptionist but the next day it persisted so nothing was done.
Lovely new hotel, small but comfortable room, nice bar area, good breakfast, great location.
New, well equipped hotel with a good vibe. Only disadvantage, 4th floor window on the outside of the 2nd building, could not be opened
Rooms are very clean and soundproof Breakfast options for vegans very appreciated The only less positive remark I can make is that the room was quite small. Otherwise, all good and friendly staff. Keep it up!
We had a great stay in Motel One
This was our first stay at a Motel One and we all loved it! The Antwerpen Oever hotel is modern, spacious and looks great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; we are already planning our next visit to this hotel.
I really enjoyed my stau at Motel One. The location was very good close to the city center and to all the tourist attractions. The room was spacious, and I enjoyed particularly the tasty and variate breakfast.
Very good hotel in a toplocation With and amazing bar . In the future I’m sure the bar will be populair also for local people. I only missed a real Whisky sour with egg. But all over its a good selection that you offer so far already . We are coming back soon
It was all good except the fact that when something goes wrong with check in there is not a manager around to solve the problem.
Much to hot. Defecte airco.
An excellent value for money hotel. Modern, with great decor throughout the hotel itself, and very comfortable bed/room. Will definitely stay in this chain of hotels again

Hotel Antwerp
A city with many facets
At first glance, Antwerp may not be as well-known as Paris, Rome or London, but that is what makes it so special. The blend of modernity and history makes the place what it is: a top destination for all those who love city breaks!
Every corner of Antwerp tells its own story. From the historical, winding alleys of the Old Town to one of the largest ports in Europe – a destination full of variety. What people particularly appreciate about the city, however, is its creative spirit. It’s not only its impressive art history or the world-famous diamond quarter that shape the image of Antwerp, but also the fashion scene. Because if you love fashion, you won’t want to leave this city. Even in its early years, the port was an important place for the textile trade, which is why Antwerp gained great influence on fashion trends over the years. That’s why the interior design of our Motel One hotel is all about fashion.
The design hotel and fashion
The theme of fashion is already evident in the hotel’s entrance area. The reception area is adorned with hand-woven rugs, designed by a former apprentice of Dries van Noten, a Belgian fashion designer. At the hotel bar, the classic checked pattern comes to life and lets them shine in all their glory. The design at this Antwerp hotel has been carefully thought out, and the love is in the detail – as in all our hotels. But the fashionable elements are not the only thing the hotel has to offer. It is equipped with free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, in-room smart TV, iron and ironing board rental at reception and limited parking for a relaxed arrival by car. There is also a delicious breakfast with regional specialities and, as it’s a child-friendly hotel, there is even a free breakfast for children under 6 years. For a restful night, the design hotel in Antwerp even provides hypoallergenic pillows and duvets on request. You also have the option of free luggage storage with us, so that you can take a walk into the city centre before check-in or after check-out without having to drag your suitcase along with you.
Location of the hotel in Antwerp
Speaking of downtown, the hotel is located on the edge of the fashion district, in the vicinity of numerous designers, fair fashion stores and concept stores. The MoMu – short for the Modemuseum (fashion museum) – and the famous Kloosterstraat with many well-known young designers are also within walking distance.
So the hotel boasts an excellent location in the centre of the city. You don’t have to go far to visit the most famous sights!
The waterfront area is very impressive and you should not miss it. The Groenplaats, a busy square near the Cathedral of Our Lady, is a well-known photo subject. The Diamantenviertel (Diamond Quarter) can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot. You’ll find it around the corner of the impressive building of the central railway station. Did you know that Antwerpen-Centraal railway station has been voted one of the most beautiful stations in the world? And if you’ve had enough of historic buildings and sparkling diamonds, you’ll find the Antwerp Zoo and the Chocolate Nation museum right next to the tracks. Look out, another superlative! For Antwerp is home to the largest museum of Belgian chocolate in the world. So many sweet temptations…

Food and drink in Antwerp
Hungry after all that sightseeing? Belgium is famous for its waffles, chocolate, pralines and chips – here, they even claim to have invented the chip. Moules-frites (mussels and chips), are also a typical Belgian dish. While you’re in Antwerp, it’s also a good idea to try handjes – special biscuits, cookies or chocolate, either with or without a marzipan filling, in the shape of a hand. Fancy some refreshments away from the hotel after an extensive shopping tour through Antwerp? Then we recommend a visit to a cosy café, bar or restaurant as a fitting end to a successful day of sightseeing. The city is truly a paradise for gourmets.
Your hotel in Antwerp – the perfect getaway
Antwerp is a city that always surprises you. Here you will find the perfect blend of tradition, culture and plenty of creativity. Anyone who comes here quickly realises that this is not only a place to look at, but above all a place to experience. If you are not arriving by car, there is the option of arriving by train via Antwerp’s central station. From there, it’s either a 25-minute walk to the hotel or you can take the tram to Groenplaats. If you are arriving by plane, the airport is about 30 minutes away by public transport. After arriving in Antwerp, you can come to our hotel and then go and explore the city at your own pace. Whether you’re planning a long weekend or a spontaneous getaway, our Motel One hotel is the perfect starting point. We look forward to welcoming you!
