Sonnenuntergang über Salzburg Vogelperspektive

Small but charming: Salzburg, on the northern edge of the Alps, right in the heart of Austria, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reason. The old town is characterised by narrow streets and buildings dating from the Middle Ages and the Baroque period. And all of the city’s sights can be easily reached on foot. The best place to start is from our Motel One Salzburg Mirabell.

And in the evenings?

The old town and the new town are separated by the river Salzach. On its banks, you can take a riverside stroll and while away the evening hours. However, swimming is not permitted in the Salzach. If you fancy a dip, you’ll need to head to one of the nearby lakes. Lake Mondsee, for example. It doesn’t take long to get to Lake Mondsee from our hotel in Salzburg. It’s a great place to cool down in summer and perfect for all ages.

To the lake!
