Harmonious design
Fryderyk Chopin spent the majority of his life in Warsaw and is commemorated across the city. Our hotel pays homage to the composer, with a high-gloss reception desk reminiscent of a grand piano and a black and white Moroso sofa which might just inspire you to tinkle the ivories. All under the watchful eye of a familiar face...
Melodious murals
Mariusz Libel lives and works in Warsaw and was a member of the street art duo TWOZYWO for many years. For our reception, lounge and rooms, he combined elements of lithographs and musical notes to create large and small-scale pieces that offer a visual representation of Chopin and his native city.
A voyage of discovery
Musical references can be found throughout the interior of the hotel – such as the little side tables by the Italian manufacturer Baxter, individually printed with Chopin’s handwritten notes and scores.
Lighting
Our lighting goes the extra mile, with a custom-made fixture by Cappellini in our lobby made with 50 coloured glass balls and serving as a contrast to the many black and white surfaces. This colour concept is echoed throughout the lounge.
3D effect
The back wall of the bar is divided into different levels, giving it the look of abstract piano keys. It also features black varnished surfaces dancing with golden notes – a truly impressive ensemble!
Reinterpretation
Classical meets modern, with bar stools inspired by 19th-century medallion-back chairs, classic winged leather armchairs and cocktail chairs with a blend of patterns – all set off to perfection by chandeliers by the Dutch designer Quasar, reminiscent of the luxurious concert halls of days gone by. At two metres in diameter, they are the literal highlights of the lounge.
Mirror, mirror, on the wall
In our inviting seating corner by the bar, large vintage mirrors give visual depth to the room, while posters for Chopin performances add a modern contrast.
Work-Music-Balance
For the composition of your next masterpiece, our hotel in Warsaw has its own meeting room, with a large workbench to give you plenty of space, Tom Dixon lamps for that light bulb moment, and wallpaper with prints of Chopin’s hand-written scores for the right creative ambience.
