The earth is a gift that must be protected - this is exactly what we want to convey in our Bonn interior with natural colours, materials and surfaces. The lounge therefore also features luminaires from Ay illuminate: the label only uses natural (waste) products and has them handmade locally, for example in Asia and Africa.

Of course, the 17 SDGs of the United Nations must not be missing and are visualised as a wall installation: the sustainability goals on an economic, social and ecological level include, for example, peace and educational opportunities for all, clean energy and responsible production and consumption.

Above one of our natural wood workbenches hovers a pendant light made of - watch out! - recycled PET bottles. Do you recognise the necks of the bottles? "PET Lamps" are handmade in local workshops in a wide variety of countries and underline the idea of upcycling: new life is breathed into used products.

A second career opportunity has also come up for some disused pieces of furniture from other Motel One hotels, which have found a new home here in Bonn. The carpets laid out by "13 Rugs" also had a previous life: they are made from fabric remnants.

Our blue planet calls itself to mind in the leafy lounge with its wicker and natural wood elements in the form of luminous globes. Another example of how we can do it some good: For the "Patchwork" carpets by Golran, old carpets are dyed and new models are put together from different parts. You can't tell just by looking at the elements of the "Moon" pendant lamp by Graypants, but they are made of recycled paper!

The environmental theme of the lounge continues in the rooms in Bonn. Wallpaper with botanical prints, bed headboards and curtains made of the fabric "Benu Remix" by Christian Fischbacher, which is made from recycled materials. In addition, as always, you will find our microplastic-free organic washing gels in the bathroom! Here you can relax with a clear conscience.

No tree had to be felled for the massive bar counter and reception desk - it was made especially from recycled scrap wood. The back wall features plants from all over the world - after all, life would not be possible without them.
