The experience was entirely satisfactory, and we have no negative feedback to provide. We appreciate your efforts.
Very nice personnel, I could check-in before the official check-in time, leave my luggage at the hotel as long as I wanted and I could also work from the hall of the hotel. Excellent experience overall. Price/quality very good
We stayed at this hotel during a trip to Vienna and overall felt it lacked some very basic amenities considering the price. The room did not include a safe, and the windows were noticeably dirty throughout our stay. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. One day the room was not cleaned until around 3 PM, by which point we had already returned after being out all day. On another day, the towels were not replaced and the trash was never taken out, so we had to request fresh towels ourselves. The staff were polite enough, though interactions were fairly minimal. The location being next to the train station may work for some travelers, but we personally found it less convenient for exploring Vienna than expected — although that was partly our own booking choice. Overall, the stay was okay, but for the price we expected a better standard of cleanliness, service, and basic room amenities.
I was not very happy with the size of the room and the lack of amenities - for example not even a small closet. The room was quiet and clean. The breakfast was good.
Comfortable accommodations and especially convenient if you have to catch an early train from Wien Hauptbahnhof, as it is right across the street.
Welcoming and spacious reception area . Breakfast very very good . Bed so comfy and location a few steps away from main train station
Hotel staffs are nice and helpful. Rooms are small and basic. Breakfast is good but would be great to have a few hot items.
Everything was wonderful
Very good location. Somehow, the weekend we stayed was very expensive compared to the other dates we've checked. No tea or coffèe in the room.
Overall it was pretty good. But I had two issues and I was not the only one (one of my colleagues complained about the first one too): the room smell was unpleasant, something like wet and dampness AND the heating from the AC wasn't working (I spent 3 nights - the first evening I went out in the city for a walk and I left the window partially open (by the way - opening the window was so hard and difficult!); when I came back - it was pretty cold and I tried to heat up a bit the room - nothing happened, just normal (cold) air was coming. I know that the people in Austria (and in other germanic countries) don't enjoy to live @ 25-28 degrees Celsius as others might do but this is a hotel and by definition there are a lot of different cultures and mentalities involved. For me it was almost fine but sometimes I felt quite cold, especially in the evening, when I was dead tired.
Very convenient location, just few tram or metro stops from the city center. Excellent connection with the airport. Next to the train station, but there is no noise. Comfortable room, good breakfast
Nice staff at front desk - we originally booked for 3 nights but it was such a good location we extended for 5 nights. Nice beds, shower, view and clean and quiet. Elevators are also top notch. Good value for money.
We had a great stay at the hotel Our only suggestion is about the breakfast It would be nice to have bigger offers And some fridge in the room
My stay at the Motel One Wien-Hauptbahnhof was excellent. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, and I hope to return soon. The room is fantastic, beautifully decorated, very spacious, and spotlessly clean. The location is very convenient, with several public transport options nearby, and the breakfast is very good and offers a wide variety of choices. The staff is very friendly.
Very pleasant stay. Great location.
Habibi at the reception was very kind and heplful!
Thank you very much for your kindness and attention. As well as for the explanation and help with booking my next trip to Munich for upon registration
the location is perfect, close to public transportation. very clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. our apartment was too small, without mini bar.
Dear Comapny, I have to say that I am genuinely disappointed by the money I spent on my stay at your hotel. Honestly, at this moment I cannot imagine returning in the future. To be fair, the bed was fine and the shower was also perfectly acceptable. I am not the kind of person who looks for problems everywhere. Dirty windows, for example, are something a person can overlook and are not something I would normally complain about. What I truly cannot understand, however, is the basic level of cleanliness in the room. When I moved the large armchair in the room, it was immediately obvious that the area underneath had not been vacuumed for a very a couple of days. And not only there. The carpet in general had clearly not been properly cleaned — there were hairs everywhere, grey hairs and black hairs. Honestly, I probably would not have paid that much attention to it if the very first thing I saw when entering the bathroom had not been a large black hair. And the absolute peak for me was finding a dirty brown towel. I have the entire room recorded on video immediately upon entering, so it is very clear that nothing was staged or created afterwards. It is obvious that the room was simply not properly prepared before our arrival. Originally, I wanted to go directly to reception and complain immediately. Unfortunately, we were travelling for work purposes and had to leave shortly afterwards for a meeting, so we did not want to spend time searching for another hotel under pressure. What makes this even more disappointing for me is that I personally know very well how hospitality operations should function. I have experience working in high-level gastronomy, including a Michelin-starred restaurant, and I have also worked in hotel operations abroad. Therefore, I fully understand what a proper standard of cleanliness and room preparation should look like. And I truly do not consider the following acceptable: - hairs on the carpet, - hairs in the bathroom, - an uncleaned carpet, - a dirty towel, - or the overall feeling that the room had not been properly cleaned. I can send a pictures to you. Another disappointment came during breakfast. We sat outside for approximately thirty minutes, and during that entire time not a single used table was cleaned by the staff. We ended up sitting at a dirty table simply because there was no other clean place available. However, I mention this only as a secondary issue — the main problem for me remains the condition of the room itself. For the price paid, I consider this absolutely unacceptable. I would appreciate your response and an appropriate form of compensation. Thank you. Petr Náhlovský petrnahlovsky@seznam.cz
great location, good hotel for easy stay over, walking distance to main attractions
Your Hotel has the biggest problems first of all not supply Air shut down as a result all rooms do not cellculation air then air quality is no good, not only my room desk chair is broken and also housekeeping doesn't clean room after 4pm back to hotel. But location is best ! May be owner doesn't understand hostility business !
We enjoyed our one-night stay here, particularly after a very tiring, long-haul flight from Australia with airport layovers in Singapore and Munich on our way to Vienna. A big thankyou to Deni, at front desk, for his professional, friendly manner and help. We really appreciated him organising us an early check-in - no guarantee - by offering us a ready, clean room instead of a room with views on a higher floor hours later. Easy to guess what we chose! We enjoyed the early rest before exploring Vienna. Many thanks. The hotel was in a perfect location, opposite Vienna's main train station. Very easy, and quick, for us to catch a train the next morning to Budapest, Hungary.
Not as good as usual. First I was given a room that had not been cleaned. Then I was given a room with extremely weak aircon.
Incredibly disappointing, I asked why the air con in my room wasn't working, my room was like a sauna when I got there. I was told cooling is switched off and it needs a management decision to change - nothing happened. I messaged on booking.com, not even had an acknowledgement. It is evident that the hotel's management do not give any thought to guest comfort, I had a very uncomfortable stay. It is not as if there is much saving to be made, running a heating or cooling system when outside temperatures are close costs very little, that changes when the temperature difference is greater - this is basic Physics(BSc, Bristol, 1978). Trust your thermostats, it is why they are there.
Overall the experience was good. We had a run in with a bartender that was very rude.
Very warm and air conditioning was not turned on. Breakfast is overpriced for what is available. There was no toast making facilities and no cereal. The room and bathroom were very nice. It was very clean so I have no issues with the hotel apart from the air conditioning when it was 24 degrees outside. The glass attracts the heat.
I had reserved a specific room class and arrived early to check in. Room was not ready. Left luggage and later that day returned to go to room but it had been give to another customer. We were offered a much smaller room and a small discount. Then on last day of stay we and several other guests were kicked out rudely from side patio by bartender and not offered indoor seating. On our exit from bar area we overheard that bar tender did this at the private request of other hotel guests. This is totally unacceptable behavior. We stay many times at Motel One but will avoid Wien Hfb location.
Love the bed. It was so comfortable! And the view over the city is amazing.
Friendly staff. Easy check in. Clean, basic comfortable room.
No air conditioner, poor service at reception, breakfast
Several technical issues with my room: non-functional TV, non-functional A/C. Asked to move to a new room, was told none are available, and then heard another guest move rooms shortly thereafter. Without A/C, having a window open was essential, but room layout meant an open window would severely limit accessibility in half of the room.
Very friendly staff, my wish for a room in the higher floors was heard. Very clean. Comfortable bed and two pillows to choose from. Would most definitely come again.
We appreciated location near train station but very quiet and clean Clean and quote rooms and friendly staff
The reservation should been have already been paid, as stated by the company making reservation. Unfortunately, while check-in I've been asked to pay for staying at the hotel. After a hour of checking emails, calling the responsible person at the company and looking for the company's credit card. Don't know who's "fault" was that, and it is not about pointing fingers, but the overall experience was bad at the beginning. Finally the card has been found and all went well thank You.
Hotel really nice and good location. Problem is lack of staff at reception. Took almost 20 minutes to check in/out
Receptionist not prepared for the job
The staff member who handled my check-in was excellent—very friendly and efficient, which made a great first impression. Good for single or smaller teams. Two points of feedback: 1.The breakfast area is not ideally suited for larger business groups. While manageable with smaller teams, it limits opportunities for networking, which is an important aspect of business travel. 2.There is often a long waiting line at check-in, make online check-in easily available for effective growth.
No cold water available for showers etc. and no help. And shower head was dripping all night.
There was no slippers, dirty bags, cleaning kits, etc. in the room. A bottle of water could have been placed as a treat
Too basic for me
The place was not very clean. it was a bed to sleep in but nothing worth the money spent. The best part was being close to HBF station.
Staff was amazing! From the reception to the bar. All of them were very helpful and patient. But, the room is poorly equipped. No kettle, only one dustbin and not even a decent ceramic cup. Seriously?
I bokked via e-mail. Requested an early check in but did not got the room earlier, there was registered a late check-out instead. Due to this I had to change my dress in the Toilet as I had scheduled day. I left there my luggage at the reception. Late evening when I could go back they did not find it, the number was not on it. In the morning they promised they will send the invoice immediately via e-mail. I had to call them after 24 hours and ask them again.
Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast
I had to do more bookings and I am dissatisfied that I can’t do them at the reception at the same price as online booking I’m already there and booking right away would be more convenient
Great!
Please ensure that you send out invoices per Email automatically. I stayed with you twice already and both times I had to remind the reception several times to send me an invoice. The data was already saved in my account and we crosschecked it during my check-in process.
nice place in front of the main station of Wien.
Was alright for the price I paid, I don’t know why I was given two blankets instead of one big one and the pillows were stiff
Absolute value for money!! Very nice place just accross the main station of Vienna. Very helpful, smiling and proactive staff. Very friendly to Foreigners.. The staff went out of the way to explain us the main tourist spots. Very clean, new and well maintained property! Thank you Motel One for making this beautiful Austrian memory for us! Regards.

Road Trip Linz-Vienna
Street art, sarcasm and Sachertorte – with stop overs for mountain, food and wine lovers!
Hotel Vienna Hauptbahnhof
You’re welcomed with a panoramic view over Vienna as soon as you arrive at the Motel One Vienna - Hauptbahnhof reception, and from the upper floors you can enjoy this sweeping vista of the Austrian capital “live”. The One Lounge, too, creatively references local motifs. Over breakfast, you can experience the 1854-vintage Semmeringbahn, while the bar is decorated with ornaments in the characteristic style of Viennese workshops, also referenced in our designer pieces by Moroso, Baxter and Jan Kath.
The multi-storey illustration of nearby Schloss Belvedere – just a stroll away – is a particular eye-catcher. Other great views of this palace are to be had on a stroll through its magnificent gardens. At this hotel, you’re equally close by other central sights such as the Staatsoper, museum district and Stephansdom.
For an affordable Design Hotel in central Vienna, you can’t do better than our Motel One right at the central station.
