For the price, extra amenities like conditioner and hand cream would be nice. Otherwise, clean and modern.
Loved location easy walk to central Amsterdam, Staff were great we arrived around 9 .00AM & lovely receptionist found us a room which was ready, so we could shower after 30 hrs travel. Its rooms are small & expensive but that is Europe. Loved our stay

We loved your hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. The only thing lacking is coffee in the room!!! That’s something you should really consider, of at least complementary coffee in the lobby. We’ve never stayed at a hotel that didn’t offer at least one or the other!!

Compact and basic rooms bathroom was ideal clean. Don’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Reasonable priced drinks in the bar. Pre drinks then drinks before bed in a lovely comfortable setting. Staff were always smiling and helpful enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam

Great location as it’s walking distance from the station. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Only downside, the rooms were very basic and didn’t have a kettle to make a hot drink.
A higher score would have been given had the wi-fi been better and tea & coffee making facilities provided in the room. Breakfast was very good value for money.
Phenomenal experience with this hotel on my recent trip. It was by far my favorite accommodation on a multi city vacation. The view was lovely even though there were complications from renovation with the original room booked which was meant to have a more desirable view. The hotel reached out prior to my arrival to notify me of this and even refunded a portion of the cost. The room was clean and well sized for two people. The bathroom was clean although not as private as desired as there is a bit of a gap at the back of the door and it is made of frosted glass. The location was amazing, we easily walked over from the train station and had ease of access to all of the major sights as well as restaurants and shopping. Can't say enough good things about this location, I would certainly stay here again if I should return to Paris.
Fabulous hotel, really friendly and helpful reception staff. We found the room very hot as only 1 window could be opened, but the reception staff kindly gave us a fan for our stay. The bed was so comfy! Will definitely be recommending this hotel. Room could be made better by having a fridge/ kettle to make tea.
The usual level of amenities and service as expected from Motel One. Location: very good, within walking distance of the main square (Dam square) and other attractions. Rembrandt house and the popular Cafe De Sluyswacht are a few minutes walk from the hotel, as is the Waterlooplein Metro station. Breakfast is very good with lots of BIO products. Staff very helpful.

Excellent central location only a short walk from tram stop or a leisurely walk into the City itself. Hotel staff were welcoming and professional at all times and we enjoyed our two night stay. Only disappointment was the lack of either tea or coffee making facilities in the room which meant a trip to the bar if you wanted a morning drink and paying for the privilege.
Great hotel , perfect location for our trip. Lovely bar area . Rooms were modern and spotlessly clean , although a litte on the small side. Very welcoming service.

Hotel is in a great location and very modern. Hotel immaculate and staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms 309/310 as expected, great king-size rooms and sufficient storage for a few nights. Beds were the best hotel beds I've ever slept in!! Breakfast was included and enough to start your day off. Coffee was good! We found the hotel drinks prices cheaper than some pubs! Overall this is a fantastic hotel, I will 100% recommend it and will definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our party welcome.

The receptionists and bar staff are so friendly and kind. It always feels nice to come back to the hotel. The beds are comfortable and the showers are brilliant.
It was really comfortable. Room was small but it’s grand for what you need it for. Bed was incredibly comfortable and the curtains were great as they blocked out the light. I’m not sure how you knew I was staying with family as ye checked us all in together when I booked separately so that was weird.
The room was clean and quiet. Not much room for luggage. Breakfast was very good.
We had the pleasure of staying at Motel One Amsterdam-Waterlooplein from January 22 to January 27, 2025, and our experience was truly wonderful! The hotel is perfectly situated, close to key attractions in the city, and the Waterlooplein area is ideal for immersing yourself in the local culture while enjoying the lively atmosphere of Amsterdam. Our room was cozy, spotless, and modern, with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff was always polite, helpful, and eager to assist with any questions or requests we had. We also have to highlight the breakfast, which was exceptional. With a wide range of fresh, quality options to suit every taste, it was the perfect way to kickstart our mornings with plenty of energy. Furthermore, the hotel's location made getting around Amsterdam incredibly easy, with great access to public transportation. Plus, there was a supermarket nearby, which made it very convenient during our stay. All in all, our time at Motel One Amsterdam-Waterlooplein was fantastic, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, excellent service, and a great atmosphere in the heart of Amsterdam!
Staff were both friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The only negatives were that the safe didn't work (we only reported this upon checking out, so I'm sure it would have been dealt with quickly if we'd alerted staff earlier), and the maid tried twice to access the room on the morning of checkout, well before the checkout time.
Near/convenient to City center. The hotel is not too big which gives a familiar aspect. Very friendly stuff. Also great to have a late-night-snack and drink. Delicious breakfast. Nice room as always, I got even a Upgrade. Thanks for the nice stay.
We enjoyed a really nice weekend in Amsterdam and were based out of Motel One. It was clean and quiet with a great location away from centre but close to everything. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend and go back.

What is the real benefit of a beOne member if I have to stay in a waiting queue for checking? Honestly, having unlimited WiFi Access and one bottle of water for the entire stay, and one free breakfast for a one time registration at beOne App is not a true value.

Lovely hotel, smaller than other Motel One hotels I have stayed in (meaning reception and bar area) Rooms are clean and comfortable. Couldn’t turn the extractor fan off in the bathroom and it had a loud “wheezing noise”
It’s our second stay with motel one ( Berlin and Amsterdam) and would highly recommend for location to all public transport services and hotel is very clear and staff are friendly and very helpful

Staff were very helpful and friendly - for some reason room cleaning would keep taking our towels and only returning one though we had two originally, but wasn't really that much of a bother.
Possibility of extra blankets in the room would be nice.
Can't really fault it. Very minor gripe, only one bottle of water for a member even though two of us staying.
We had a lovely stay. The staff were All so helpful and friendly. The bed was amazingly comfortable so rested well. Breakfast was varied and fresh. Motel One was well situated 2 stops on Metro to main station where we used the tram to get around and visit museums. And get the train to Zwolle to visit friends

Lovely, clean hotel with beautiful interior. Great location for convenience (10 min walk to central) & no disturbances at night time. Facilities were slightly lacking e.g no kettle, fridge or iron available in ROOMS, however reception were happy to fill anything I needed downstairs with their kettle :-) Staff were incredibly friendly. I would stay again!

Upcycling perfected
Inspired by the nearby Waterlooplein Platz and its popular flea market, the design concept of the Motel One Amsterdam – Waterlooplein draws heavily on the idea of upcycling. The One Lounge of our design hotel was created with the help of internationally renowned artist Piet Hein Eek and demonstrates how antiques and used items can be combined to establish a whole new character. Featuring walls covered with old windows, doors and cabinets, chandeliers that have been assembled from lights purchased at flea markets, and a fantastic workbench with specially created table lamps, the lounge is sure to spark your creativity and invite you to linger. Our motto: perfectly imperfect!
Even Rembrandt himself would have felt at home in our cosy box-spring beds, with linens made of 100% Egyptian cotton.
The famous Dutch artist lived a stone’s throw away from the design hotel in the Rembrandt House, and his style of contrasting light and shadows can now be seen in the One Lounge.
