Lovely stay, close to station and town centre, friendly staff, all round a great stay
Hotel is brilliant as all Motel One are but my room on the 12th floor was boiling hot even with the fan on full and the window open
Basic hotel with a decent shower. No way to opt for early check in (would have paid extra). There were rooms available if they wanted to allow it despite stating otherwise. They will keep luggage stored for you though until after 3pm.
From first check in with a lovely Australian girl I am a single woman and partially disabled she was welcoming and very helpful asking if I wanted a room near lift which lifted all the anxiety. Room was so cosy and very clean. Relaxation areas were of same standards. I would definitely stay here again
Excellent staff and very clean facilities
Great and handy for station and nite life clean and tidy all you need for an overnight
Had a lovely stay and very kindly got given a small upgrade, the room was great, clean, bed was very comfortable and the view was amazing, will definitely be staying again.
It's a lovely hotel in the perfect location
Can’t fault Motel One Glasgow. Excellent city centre location, great value. Staff all very friendly & efficient. We arrived just after 3pm and there was a queue, but there were 5 members of staff checking people in so the wait was minimal.
What you should do is adopt a payment early check in system like premier inn. I got there early cause of an early train.from Londoner and had to sit 2 hrs I didn’t mind paying a fee to get my room a bit earlier
We loved our stay at Motel One! The staff were so lovely and let my partner and I check into a room early which was very appreciated. The room was modern and clean, perfect for a weekend away. The hotel has fantastic amenities and the lobby has a really nice atmosphere to stop and have a drink.
Great stay as usual. Regulars here. Getting a bit pricey though!
Excellent facilities and room for suitcase, clothes and toiletries. But far too hot in room even with window open all the time.
Great staff , extremly helpfull.
Great location, polite and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast
Stay was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The air con in the room didn’t work nor did the bathroom fan. We were only staying one night so wasn’t a huge problem. Would also be good to have a cooked breakfast as an option in the morning.
I come to Glasgow to catch up with friends & family twice each year since moving away 5 years ago. The staff are always friendly & helpful. The rooms are clean & tidy. The beds are very comfortable when you're staying 3-4 nights each time. Friends have stayed on my recommendation & feel the same. I love getting my 10% discount for being a regular member & it's right next to Glasgow Central Station. Love the place xx
We had a one night stay on the 27th March.2026. From the staff on entering who made us feel welcome. Checkin very quick and efficient. Room was spotless. Bed was very comfy. Been here last year and loved this hotel. Would definitely recommend. Very good location. Near train and bus station. Will use this hotel and recommend to friends and family.
In a word 'excellent'. Love to stay at your place
Room was comfortable albeit the A/C wasn’t perfect. Quite warm. No complimentary water this time round and a few dodgy looking characters hanging around the lobby. Noted security had issues with anti social behaviour involving some youths at the front door when returning from our show.
Long queues to check in. Sink took ages to drain in 1217. Loo not level. Room was quiet. Bed comfortable.
Great staff, bar , location it won’t be long before we are back two friends came with us and loved motel one
Great ataff
The room was clean and comfortable the service provided was excellent as we're the friendly attentive staff.Great place to stay in Glasgow.
Staff at front desk were helpful and friendly as they always are. While talking to a member of staff while checking out another member of staff walked past she never acknowledged the staff or even the people staying in hotel. I found out this was the hotel manager not a very good way to treat staff or guests in hotel a simple Morning wouldn't have hurt. I hope this isn't going to be the future of the hotel as it would loose alot of business manners cost nothing.
Lovely hotel, booked healthy buffet breakfast, didn’t say it was continental or I wouldn’t have bothered, room was very hot, air con didn’t work had to open the window but being right next to train station it was very noisy
Enjoyed our stay and lovely staff
Lovely room, all staff were welcoming and helpful. Thanks so much
The best budget hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Friendly staff. Lovely decor, everywhere. Clean room & bathroom. The only feedback is that the room was exceptionally hot overnight and it was difficult to adjust the thermostat without any instructions, so perhaps they could be provided? Thank you.
Great location, amazing breakfast, very clean hotel, organised staff, beautiful lobby.
Excellent value for money. Staff were very polite - I would stay here again!
Fabulous stay. Excellent staff and facilities in a very central location.
Very draughty widows. very poor internet conections( USB) very poor connections.
Hotel spotless all staff very helpful would not hesitate to recommend your hotels to friends and hopefully will stop in one in near future thank you all
Reception staff nice Room clean Safe Good location
Far too hot in the room and no ability to cool down other than opening windows, which meant that too noisy to sleep.
Check in staff very nice (I did not do online because I wanted to speak to a real person). Did not receive a bottle of water as a member. Gull noise kept me awake in the night. Left my luggage securely which was good. Clean room though and not too hot. Hand wash in my bathroom did not pump.
Staff were really kind and I was able to checkout late for a small fee.
Great room, easy and friendly reception and check out. Lovely hotel
asked when booking for a room on a high floor and away from the lifts. room was fine enough away from the lifts but unfortunately was on the 1st floor. I’ll live but would be good to know if these requests are able to be honoured beforehand. also, found that a pillow cover & the corner of the bedsheets had dried blood on them from a previous inhabitant. Thankfully we didn’t find this until the end but was very gross to see and isn’t acceptable. It didn’t ruin our experience but it did make me hesitant about booking this hotel again if I need or want to. The staff we spoke to at check-in were very kind & polite, showing interest in our stay. Overall, was okay.
Great location..well equipped room ..staff great..and even on a Saturday nite quiet nite sleep!
AC was not working in the room. You could feel the AC not working on the 11th floor as it was roasting. told reception. Booked multiple rooms for other colleagues who also had the same pronblem.
Great hotel in a great location.
2nd time here with my friends and will come again…staff on reception very helpful. The only downside was in the bar.. had to wait at least 5 mins as there was no one to serve. …..another guest was also waiting.
A small fridge will be nice in the room
We are regular MotelOne guests. Hotel was nice though our previous stays in Manchester, Barcelona & Prague were nicer hotels. But the package was I expected. Staff super friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel and location, can't find fault with it
Great hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable too
Great customer service, location is perfect and great prices
Excellent as it has been on previous occasions. Check in staff initially told me I didn't have a booking however when I arrived....but then located it. No idea what happened there. Shower could be a little more powerful, but it was adequate. A heated bathroom mirror would also be a nice touch to prevent misting from the shower.

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!

Art with heart
The art at the Motel One in Glasgow takes you on a journey through the Scottish Highlands. The photography from artist duo Scullion and Dalziel captures details and impressions of romantic, rugged nature from unusual perspectives.
Hotel Glasgow
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
