We were very pleased with our stay at the Sendlingertor Motel One in Munich on November 1, 2025. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in every way. The selections on the breakfast buffet were excellent and tasty. We will definitely return.

Prima hotel!
Small, but comfortable room and very quiet. Parking garage is convenient and fairly priced. Public transport to the city center is just in front of the entrance. We have stayed here in the past and will do so again in the future.
Staff are very accommodating
I will give a ten because i like this hotel. But, this time around we did not have any good AC so our room was to hot. I did not say anything which is my own fault so that is why you still get a ten.
First time staying at Motel One and overall I was very impressed. The lounge area in particular was lovely and a great way to get out of my room in the evening and read or have a quiet drink. The room was definitely small, but I travel a lot in Japan and the room size was a similar size to what you would find there. Not having a fridge or a kettle is something I missed, but I managed without both for the three nights. Super comfortable bed and pillows and the room was sound proof. I couldn’t get the air con to work though. The area around the hotel might feel dodgy for some people and arriving late at night can be a little unsettling. But, having been to Munich a few times before I know the area isn’t as bad as it looks. But it might put people off. The upside is the location is perfect. Entrance to Hauptbahnhof across the street, Altstadt just a 10 minute walk away and you’re also just a few blocks from good restaurants and a couple of cinemas.
great experience as usual! the location is good for the price/value! Check in was easy with outstanding friendly staff. The parking garage is offering enough spots and the price is great as well! I will be back.

Always a treat to stay at Motel One. Be aware that eating and drinking your own stuff is not allowed in the lounge area. Not a big issue for us, but good to know.

The interior of Motel One used to be a bit better. Looked a little run down. Overall, breakfast was good. Just missing some more healthy alternatives.

Great hotel! Very small rooms for 2 people. No refrigerator... Also no air blowing in my room. Had to sleep with the window open for cool air! Staff is EXCELLENT and VERY helpful!! A++ to staff and amenities!! Overall very good stay!
We had an excellent two-day stay at the Motel One Deutsches Museum Munich. The staff were all exceedingly friendly and helpful and we were even able to go into the room around midday. Clearly, this is not always possible, but when the room is actually available, it's really nice if staff permit access. The whole booking and checking-in process directly through the website was very smooth, the room was just as expected and good value for money and internet access through WLAN fast. And it was really pleasant that snacks are available at the bar in the evening, albeit not much choice and fairly expensive. The lounge area is lovely with lots of space, interesting variety of sitting options. We did not book breakfast as there was only an all-you-can-eat option, which was pretty expensive if you don't want to eat much. It also looked a bit stressy, but we found a great breakfast café around the corner. During the first night there was noise from the ventilation system, but when reported the next morning the technician came at once and fixed it. Overall, I would certainly recommend the Motel Ones.
The hotel is in perfect position, 15 mins walking from the railway station and from Marienplatz. The room was ok. The lobby is cool, and the bar very well stocked. Good choice for breakfast, also for a vegan like me; I expected it to be included within the total price, maybe because here in Italy normally it is; nevertheless, my overall experience was great.
I was in Munich to visit my daughter and could have felt more welcome at Motel One. Thank you all. I had a beautiful room on the 13th overlooking the city and was blown away by it all. I’d like to mention Abdel. He welcomed me every morning with a smile and made me feel immediately at ease with the German language and where to find my coffee 😉 he was an immediate friend and I appreciated that so very much.

Hotel staff and bar was really good but the room was extremely small. With 2 adults and 1 child there was no space to move around. Even bathroom was very small but somehow manageable. We stayed for 4 nights but after second night there was no cleaning of the room/ bathroom so we were not happy about it. It was however resolved on day 3. The additional sofa bed for child was not comfortable. The main bed was fine. In terms of location it’s a bit of walk about 10 minutes from Rosenheimer Platz.
I really enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and comfortable. I found the breakfast to have great variety and lots of healthy choices, along with plenty of machines to make coffee drinks! And I greatly enjoyed the long tables in public spaces to sit and work and watch the world walk and drive by.

I appreciate the value. One issue was the bathroom with the tiny "shower door" if u could call it that. Everything got wet, no point of having it at all. Rooms are dark, which uses more electricity, sheer curtains under the blackout curtains would be nice, so we can let sunlight in, without giving up our privacy to the other room windows facing us. Also, maybe offering a free self service coffee machine in the lobby for a limited time frame, 6a to 10a for example, would be great and still keep costs down. Overall, great place and perfect location.

Great location, wonderful staff - especially Ivan who is exceptional with every guest, very clean and a great breakfast food choice. This is my fourth stay here and I will be back next time I am in Munchen. Enjoy drinks at the bar and the outside terrace whenever you can. Thank you for making my stay great!
I love this hotel. Good location if you have to Travel to/from Ostbahnhof. Very kind and helpful staff. I gor a very nice room with a balcony.
The location works for me. The staff is pleasant and the rooms are very basic but the bed is comfortable.

Very good location
Overall, our stay was pleasant, except for the issue with the room size. Just a few days earlier we had stayed at a budget-style hotel, and even then, the rooms there were considerably larger. The room was very clean, though the choice of carpeted flooring can be problematic for anyone with allergies. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety and everything fresh, although the price felt a bit high for what was offered. The staff were excellent — especially the receptionist Elena, who provided outstanding service and was exceptionally kind and friendly. Unfortunately, what brings the rating down is the price-to-value mismatch. As pleasant as the stay was, such a small room without basic amenities like a minibar, coffee maker, or electric kettle really shouldn’t cost that much.
Missed a hot water cattle or fridge in the room
Overall, it was a nice experience. Although one day, even though I did not want my room to be cleaned, it was cleaned anyways. Hot water started not working after 2 days. Therefore, there was no hot water in my room for 3 days, which was pretty frustrating...
Please improve the lighting the bathroom!

There were no shelves or drawers in the room, or conditioner in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly. We would return.
Hotellet er meget godt beliggende i centrum af Munchen med alt indenfor gåafstand. Vi valgte dog dette hotel både på grund af beliggenheden OG fordi der var mulighed for parkering. Det sidste var der dog ikke, da hotellet kun har 25 parkeringspladser til 200 værelser. Vi blev derfor sendt til et offentligt parkeringshus til en langt højere pris, end vi mener vi var stillet i udsigt i beskrivelsen af hotellet. Receptionen henviste til, at der på hjemmesiden står at man ikke kan reservere parkering. Men der burde have stået, at der er meget begrænset mulighed for parkering. Værelset var endog meget lille og uden køleskab.

Pæne og rene værelser, god service og dejlig morgenmad. Sengene var virkelig gode, og badeværelset helt i top.
Selvom vi havde bedt om rengøring, måtte vi minde om det. rengøringen var på ingen måde tilfredsstillende. Og sengetøjet blev ikke skiftet på trods af et ophold på 6 dage Wifi er ekstremt dårligt
Super god service, dejligt at kunne få opbevaret sin kuffert i receptionen før og efter ophold. En smule forvirring om logistikken ved morgenmaden når der var mange gæster, men lækkert udvalg.
Super beliggenhed. Lidt svært med gadeparkering.

Takket være byens fremragende offentlige transport når du München centrum på få minutter fra alle vores hoteller. Vi anbefaler dig at starte din sightseeingtur på den centralt beliggende Karlsplatz, der markerer starten på byens vigtigste gågade. Blandt de lokale kaldes pladsen for "Stachus", og her sker der altid noget, for pladsen frekventeres flittigt af både lokale og turister hele året rundt.
Fra Karlsplatz går du gennem den gamle byport Karlstor og følger den livlige gågade Neuhauser Str., der snart fører dig forbi Frauenkirches markante tvillingetårne. Den smukke katedral er Münchens vartegn og den højeste bygning i hele den gamle bydel. Læg mærke til det lille sorte mærke ved indgangen, der ligner et fodspor med en lille kroget hale ved hælen. Ifølge legenden er dette Djævlens fodspor!
Ikke langt fra kirken går du endnu et pragtbyggeri i møde, denne gang Marienplatz med det gotiske rådhus, legetøjsmuseet og monumentet Mariensäule med byens beskytter på toppen. Vil du selv betragte byen lidt ovenfra, kan du tage turen til toppen af kirketårnet "Alter Peter" i kirken St. Peter. I så fald skal du forcere godt 300 trappetrin og 91 højdemeter, men anstrengelserne betaler sig: i godt vejr har du en fabelagtig udsigt over hele byen, Isar-floden og Alperne i det fjerne.
Viktualienmarkt, Isartor og Hofbräuhaus – mærk historiens vingesus
Knurrer maven efter alle de trappetrin? Så sæt kurs mod det nærliggende Viktualienmarkt. Her kan du købe kød, fisk, frisk frugt og grønt samt delikatesser af enhver art, men også veltilberedte frokostanretninger og mindre retter til den lille sult. Efter en velfortjent pause går det videre mod byporten Isator, der afgrænser den gamle bydel mod øst. Læg i den forbindelse mærke til uret på vestsiden, der som et kuriosum går den forkerte vej. Dette er selvsagt ikke en konstruktionsfejl, men derimod en hilsen til Willy Brandts berømte citat: "In Bayern gehen die Uhren anders" (som en kommentar til de store kulturforskelle mellem Bayern og resten af Tyskland).
Fra vores billige hoteller i München er der ikke langt til den enorme bypark Englischer Garten, der bl.a. er berømt for sit heftige surferspot Eisbachwelle i den iskolde og kraftige smeltevandsflod Eisbach. Hertil kommer Alter Hof, Feldherrnhalle, Hofgarten og ikke mindst det traditionsrige bryghus Hofbräuhaus. Oven på en begivenhedsrig dag i den bayerske hovedstad kan du med fordel fordøje de mange indtryk over en kølig drink i den chikke Motel One Bar, hvor vores personale står klar til at hygge om dig.
