Very helpful staff, great location, nice indoor/outdoor bar area and parking in the centre of the city.
I stayed at this hotel for five nights, and unfortunately it turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences I've had despite traveling extensively for work around the world. From the very first night, my room had virtually no cooling and very little airflow. The room itself was small and compact, so it became extremely hot, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The next morning, I reported the issue to the front desk and was told that someone would look into it. When I returned that evening, I was informed that the problem had not been fixed because they needed an outside technician. I requested a different room but was told that none were available, leaving me to spend another sleepless night in an uncomfortably hot room. The following day, they finally offered to move me to another room, but only if I packed all of my belongings, checked out of my room, left everything at the front desk, and waited until I returned in the evening to receive a new room. Since I was leaving for work early in the morning, I asked whether housekeeping could simply move my luggage once the new room was ready. They refused, creating unnecessary inconvenience. After moving into the new room, there was better airflow, but the air conditioning still did not cool the room regardless of the thermostat setting. When I reported this, one front desk employee told me that the cooling depended on the outside temperature. That explanation made no sense, especially since the outdoor temperature was even higher than the desired indoor temperature. When I asked them to come to the room and check the issue with me, they declined, simply stating that the technician said it was working. Another front desk employee gave an even more surprising explanation, saying that the air conditioning system was only designed to bring in fresh outside air and was not intended to cool the room. I was genuinely shocked and asked if they were certain. They insisted that this was how the system worked and still refused my request for another room. I said then why there is a thermostat in the room - this person told its for winters only. Really!!! What made this even more frustrating was that four of my colleagues were staying in different rooms in the same hotel, and every one of them had properly functioning air conditioning. That made it clear that my room had a problem and that the explanations I was receiving were simply excuses rather than genuine attempts to resolve the issue. The staff members were polite throughout my stay, but politeness alone is not enough. There was very little willingness to investigate the problem, offer practical solutions, or make my stay comfortable. After five nights of poor sleep due to excessive heat, I left extremely disappointed. I rarely write negative reviews, but I hope management takes this feedback seriously. No guest should have to spend five nights in a hot room while repeatedly being told that a clearly malfunctioning air conditioning system is "working as designed."
thank you Motel One for the comfort, the good room and excellent location you offer, I am very satisfied, but this time I was upset as I also felt that the sudden in increase in price for a night (50% increase) is hard to justify and for me inexcusable as it came without warning, and when I inquired at the checking in time, no explanation was offered. I could have found a more affordable hotel room and would like you to rethink your policy in that last week of June when I visited.
Everything was alright, but the room was unacceptably small for two people. No closet, not even a drawer, and we couldn't even open both of our suitcases at the same time. The advertised balcony was a window at best. Its only a balcony if you can put a chair there. Also the absence of a gym and the very tight parking spots were a little disappointing.

Friendly staff, perfect location.
Excellent location, good in-hotel service. One (very) negative point : to book through the Motel One website, you have to register for their customer program (not a particularly smooth process when you are on the move and using a smartphone). In theory, registering gives you a 10% discount and free bottled water and the option to check in in advance. I registered and paid immediately by Paypal. I received a confirmation email telling me that I could check in online to save time. When I tried to check in, the system told me I still had to pay the 307 euros that I had already paid by Paypal. Not wanting to pay twice for the room, I was forced to check in on site in Saaarbücken. At the reception I was asked again to pay for the room (307 euros). I had to send them an email with a screenshot of the Paypal payment confirmation (they had of course already received one directly from Paypal when I paid) before they accepted to check me in. Of course, no discount and no bottle of water. I expected better than this pathetic level of service from the Motel One company, the hotel itself was great but the company is completely disorganised and incapable of managing reservations properly.
Nice hotel, clean and very quiet. Bright and fresh room in a perfect location for the wedding we were attending, great shower and very comfortable bed.
i always enjoy coming to Motel One, in Saarbrücken, it is a most gentle and soothing place, comfortable, close to everything, especially the opera house/theatre. I asked for a room from which i could see the opera house, and the person at the desk was kind enough to comply. i enjoy my stays there, the motel is perfect for my needs. I am thankful. the staff is friendly and supportive. The wine at the bar is too expensive, of course.

The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring on foot or by car with a beautiful view of the river from our window. The breakfast room staff gets high marks from us, as does the front desk staff, and everyone we encountered, whether hotel employees or repairmen working in the lobby area, was unfailingly cordial. We would definitely stay at this location again, and are happy to have added it to the list of Motel Ones at which we have stayed.

beautiful building in the heart of Saarbrücken and its main cultural district, in fact from my room I could the Staatstheater/opera building where i attended a concert during their dance festival. I slept well and was enchanted by being woken up by a sun beam directly on my face.
We are very happy with Motel one and are staying in this Hotel on regular basis. Also we already booked Motel one for next year in Hamburg with the full family.
Could not get to the hotel by car.

Property was gorgeous and room was perfect for me. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond! Bar in lobby was great and Yusef....wow! He was amazing at juggling all the tasks, maintaining professionalism, and just such an asset to your team! I met my friend last minute and we just loved everything about your hotel and town! I might even head back one day! 😀
Motel One Saarbrücken is perfectly located for city travelers. Its location on the edge of the city centre means that guests have access to the main pedestrian area as they step outside the hotel while still enjoying peace and quiet around and inside the hotel. The hotel has a lovely outdoor seating area that is green and well shielded from the street. It has lounge chairs and small tables accessible to its guests for drinks, breakfast or just lounging. The rooms are modern and spotless as are the rest of the premises of the hotel. There is a public parking garage conveniently located just across the street (Staatstheater) at a very competitive day rate. It is light and spacious and also offers charging stations for electric vehicles. The staff are the star of the place. Friendly and welcoming at all times they provide uncomplicated, enthusiastic, yet unobtrusive service at all times. Guests feel welcome and well taken care of at any time and the staff, some of whom are familiar faces from a previous visit, give the impression that they not only know their stuff, but that they really enjoy what they do.

The Motel One staff continues to be great. They always make us feel at home. The rooms are also very clean and bright. The Motel One in Saarbrücken will always be our first choice when visiting the city.
Very good, as usual. I stay here often. I was a little worried at being allocated a room on the first floor, but it was quiet and I didn't really hear anything from below. It was nice to have a quiet room on the inside of the hotel, as I had requested.

Exceptional hotel with an incredible staff. We always feel like family, when we stay at this hotel. I recommend staying here, if and when you visit Saarbrücken.
I always stay at this Motel One. My room smelled so strong of perfume or something that it made my eyes water. I opened the window and the smell would dissipate. When I left the room and returned the smell was back. I alerted the front desk who came up to see where the smell was coming from. They couldn't locate the smell and offered me another room. I declined moving as I had already had my things unpacked.
Great experience and perfect locaion
Overall a very nice hotel and experience. The only thing I was shocked was the price for my Gin Tonic. 20€ is (even for a good Gin) quite a lot and I wasn't aware about this price when ordering - yes, it was my mistake, but it would have been nice to get a head up on that price before. So, just a minor remark.

Very pleasant and helpful staff, however, on site parking was not available as advertised. Parking near by was expensive but convenient. The room was small but comfortable and it had everything needed for a good night sleep!

Bienvenue à Sarrebruck – og til vores prisvenlige designhotel Motel One Saarbücken! Vores hotel ligger i centrum af Saarbücken og dermed kun et stenkast fra den franske grænse – eller ok, måske nærmere 15 minutter for at være præcis. Hotellet udgør dermed en komfortabel og centralt beliggende base for dit ophold, uanset om du er på forretningsrejse eller nyder en afslappende storbyferie. Skal du besøge Saarbrücken Messe, vil du ligeledes sætte stor pris på hotellets gunstige trafikale beliggenhed. Når det er på tide at sige au revoir til Saarbrücken, har du det mindst lige så nemt, for hovedbanegården ligger kun ca. en kilometer fra hotellet og kan dermed nås til fods. Saarbrücken Lufthavn ligger 17 kilometer væk.
Hvilke oplevelser kan Saarbrücken så byde på?
Dette afhænger selvfølgelig til dels af, hvorvidt dette er din første gang i Saarlands hovedstad? Børnefamilier vil til gengæld elske parken Deutsch-Französischer Garten med bl.a. svaneformede vandcykler og et lille børnetog. Sportsfans kan derimod med fordel sætte kurs mod Ludwigsparkstadion.
Et andet højdepunkt udgøres af den historiske Saarbrücken Bymur, der som noget unikt forløber gennem en glasvæg og direkte ind i vores lounge, hvor den giver begrebet "historiske rammer" en helt ny betydning. Hotellets indretningsdesign er i det hele taget præget af kontraster: Tradition og moderne. Blomster og geometriske former. Elegant og til tider en smule råt.
