From check-in to check-out, absolute high marks! Great room and breakfast (the breakfast team especially friendly and helpful). We've stayed in many MotelOne hotels, and this ranks among the best!
The only thing I would suggest is a few amenities added to the room - shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc. Having these items, even in small amounts, assists a traveler on both front and back end travel as airlines allow less and less liquids.
The room and the hotel were overall nice, clean, and everything worked. Shower and toilet were nice. Charging receptacles were convenient. Reception was friendly when we checked in, but was too busy for us the rest of our stay. We do appreciate it when there is enough space to open our luggage. We really enjoyed the park across the street. The later check-out time would have been convenient, but we had a train to catch. A few things I did not like: 1. Entering and leaving we had to endure a lot of cigarette smoke. People were always smoking right next to the door. Smoke bothers me a lot. 2. We really did NOT like that there was no way to get coffee without buying the buffet breakfast. We don't eat that much for breakfast and we are not paying 25 euro for coffee. Breakfast and coffee a few doors down was 15 euros for both, but we had to wait until 8:00 for it to open.
Clean, comfortable room but very little space to hang/store clothes. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities, but understand this is normal practice for a mid range hotel in Spain, Overall enjoyed the stay

Vi havde 7 overnatninger ifm. ferie i Barcelona. Altanen og rooftop var perfekt. Desværre var der 3 ting vi manglede på værelset, da det jo var et længere ophold: et lille køleskab til at holde drikkevarer kolde, en kedel så vi kunne lave kaffe og et klædeskab til vores tøj. De 6 bøjler som var på værelset var hurtigt brugt, når man har tøj til en uge. Det var noget rod at have sit tøj i kufferten i en uge, værelset var jo ikke så stort. Hyggeligt hotel.
Room extremely small. But very clean.
Clean but small room overlooking park Check in smooth..front desk staff very professional and facilitated storage of luggage until 3pm check in. Buffet breakfast very complete but very crowded at times. Perhaps change in how buffet is set up recommended.
Very clean, well lit rooms, with fine hot water and modern bathroom fixtures. Rooms very small. Really just for one, imo.
Lovely hotel located close to the Arc de Triomphe area. Rooms were small - we had a room with the inner courtyard terrace. the room was very hot despite trying to get the temp as low as possible. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of breads, pastries and a good meat and cheese selection. Rooftop was also lovely.
Lovely hotel experience for 4 nights. The staff were so helpful. The location was close to both the sites and beach, plus, bus stops, metro and taxis easy to find right outside. While the room was small but perfectly formed and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, with two bedside tables, and sockets for adapters by only one side. Window offered a very nice view of the interior courtyard. The room also had a leather chair, small table, wall shelf and hooks, enough hangers for wardrobe, and a TV. The bathroom was petite but it’s roomy shower and good lighting were welcomed. The air conditioning was excellent in the room and elsewhere in the hotel. The lobby was beautifully decorated and clean, with a large number of seating areas including tables and had three lifts. The breakfast buffet service was excellent, offering a wide range of food and drinks from 7 - 11 am, and the bar for evening drinks was open very late. I loved it there! Would stay again!
Location is great to access most places. Staff are warm and welcoming. Room is clean and comfortable

Had a lovely time at the motel
Friendly staff, very supportive. Bar, Room and other amenities very nice, as always. We specificly liked the patio, which was surprisingly quit and had a cosy atmosphere.
Location - excellent. lobby design & first impression - very good. room - clean, comfortable bed, small safe deposit box, no ventilation in bathroom!, POOR WIFI and phone signal breakfast - very good roof top terace closes too soon
There is missing a automatic night lamp in the bathroom. Too little space for clothes
Very nice and tidy hotel. Reception welcoming and supportive Bar - personell not friendly not forth coming, and have a strange understanding of servicing guests.

Refrgirator is missing
The breakfast was mediocre. However, the rooms were very small, no fridge and didn't even have a bottle of water on the day of arrival.
The hotel is in a great location with good bus and train connections. The rooms are small but modern and clean, and the roof terrace is great to enjoy a drink. There is no kettle to make tea / coffee so bring your own. There is also no fridge in the room. (Tip, take a cooling shopping bag and buy ice from the supermarket on the corner, put it in the shower so the water can run out and you have cool drinks :-) The staff are very friendly and we will definitely stay there again

Room was nice, however, I had chosen and paid for a room with a view and there was no view really (just on a tree...). Room is functional and modern, but doesn't offer any extras.
Lovely stay at the hotel but it’s didn’t have a coffee machine kettle in the room also air conditioning was any good at all I actually think it was broke

Nice hotel, nice staff. Pillows were extremely uncomfortable (not the Motel One Standard) and housekeeping was very loud when cleaning the room next to mine.

Great hotel, much nicer than the 3 * rating would suggest! Really good, convenient location; lovely lobby/reception decor, felt luxurious. Room was very nice - loved the pillow selection & bedding, nice bathroom products & towels, great shower. Overall perfect for a Barcelona stay.
Good service as usual in Motel One Hotels. Specifically I liked free charging of EVC and low parking rates! Keep it up!!!

Had a great stay, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Loved the breakfast and clean room. The location is perfect, close to bus stops, not too far from the beach and centre.
As always the same great experience with MotelOne: professional staff, beautiful hotel, central location, great room. And the rooftop bar has stunning views.

Modern and beautiful lobby. Clean room and bathroom. Strong Wi-Fi. No coffee in room 😩 Luggage storage. Relaxing rooftop bar area to sit. But it closed at 10:30!
Virkelig lækkert udvalg til morgenmaden! God beliggenhed i forhold til at komme til fods rundt i Barcelona. Selvfølgelig kunne det godt ligge mere centralt, så de ting der lå vest for Rambla var tættere på - men vi havde friske ben :) Og så må jeg bare sige, at personalet - alle vi havde kontakt med - var super søde og smilende og hjælpsomme og rare. Vi var der under strømafbrydelsen, og det blev også håndteret til topkarakter. Og der var i hvert fald ikke meget negativt at komme efter, men hvis vi alligevel tænker lidt over det, så: Udsugningen i baderummet kunne godt være mere effektiv, det havde været lækkert at kunne caste til rummets tv, og så lugtede der en smule af, ja, våd sten, på værelset når vi kom hjem. Men altså, vi nævnte det ikke for personalet, så værre var det ikke, og havde vi sagt det, så er jeg ret sikker på at de havde gjort noget ved det.
Jeg er tilfreds , har ikke noget at klage over😊.
Det eneste minus er at dørene til værelserne smækker så hårdt i at man kan høre det meget tydeligt inde på værelset når andre gæster lukker / smækker deres dør i. Det er meget højlydt og meget irriterende. Det bør der kigges på. Jeg ved fra andre hoteller at det er muligt at få døre til at lukke helt stille og roligt af sig selv.

Rent og pænt hotel. Meget serviceminded personale. Vi ved, hvad vi skal forvente, da konceptet er ens overalt. Vi havde mistet en iPhone i Barcelona, som blev fundet og indleveret i receptionen på hotellet efter, at vi var taget hjem. Vi fik fantastisk service hos hotellets personale, som jeg talte og mailede med flere gange. De pakkede telefonen, så vi kunne få den afhentet af DHL. Vi har været adskillige gange på Motel One i Barcelona, Hamburg og Berlin, og det er bestemt ikke sidste gang, vi kommer.

Med sine drømmende akvarelbilleder henter illustratoren Lara Costafreda flora, fauna og arkitektoniske elementer fra Parc de la Ciutadella helt ind på hotellet.
Hotel Barcelona-Ciutadella
På vores Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella kombinerer vi typisk spansk byggestil med regionalt producerede designmøbler og henter inspiration fra den omgivende flora og fauna. Faktisk er resultatet så enestående, at du hurtigt glemmer, at du egentlig kun er her for at overnatte. I receptionen med dens karakteristiske cementfliser, i de hyggelige lænestole fra den spanske designer Patricia Urquiola, på de smukke tæpper fra det lokale firma Nanimarquina: Overalt på hotellet inddrager vi den naturlige atmosfære fra den nærliggende park. Pendellamper fra designhuset Bocci leder tankerne hen på blomsterbuketter, mens gulve af spansk natursten giver indretningsdesignet et rustikt touch. Et stort udendørsområde med lounge indbyder til afslappende stunder under åben himmel.
På vores værelser går det naturnære design ligeledes igen: Boxsengenes hovedgærde er udsmykket af den unge illustrator Lara Costafreda, der har ladet sig inspirere af temaerne planter, natur og jungle. Selvom Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella altså absolut er værd at opholde sig på, må du selvsagt ikke helt glemme Barcelonas mange spændende attraktioner. Ikke langt fra hotellet finder du parken Ciutadella, der indbyder til afslappende gåture i det grønne. Andre vigtige seværdigheder tæller UNESCO-attraktionen Sagrada Familia, kirken La Catedral, den pulserende Rambla og den centrale plads Plaça de Catalunya. ¡Benvinguts a Barcelona!
