If you are traveling to Düsseldorf for business, avoid The Cloud One Hotel at all costs. What presents itself as a modern hotel operates exactly like a very expensive hostel. Appalling Customer Service The absolute lowest point of my stay was being interrupted by a phone call from the front desk right in the middle of a critical business meeting. I was informed that I needed to change rooms and was given exactly 20 minutes to drop everything, return to the hotel, and pack my bags—otherwise, housekeeping would forcibly remove my personal belongings. I had booked my two-night stay under two separate reservations, but the staff explicitly assured me at check-in that this was fine and completely failed to mention that I would be forced to switch rooms after the first night. To make a highly stressful situation even worse, the receptionist actually laughed on the phone while issuing this 20-minute ultimatum, completely aware of the disruption he was causing to my professional schedule. Basic Necessities Withheld Adding insult to injury, the hotel does not provide drinking water in the rooms—nor do they even provide a simple glass. When I inquired about this, the front desk explicitly advised against drinking the tap water from the bathroom sink if I had any other option. Their only solution was to direct me to the top-floor bar, where they charge an extortionate €7 for a single bottle of water. Subpar Amenities Do not expect standard hotel conveniences here either. There are no irons available in the guest rooms whatsoever. If you need to press a shirt for a meeting, you are expected to haul your clothes out of your room and down to an entirely different floor to use a communal ironing station. The Bottom Line A hotel's fundamental job is to provide a seamless, comfortable experience. The Cloud One failed completely, choosing instead to manufacture stress, nickel-and-dime guests for basic hydration, and deliver blatantly disrespectful service. I highly advise booking elsewhere.
Great location, friendly and helpfull staff as always ;) feedback: temperature in the lounge was to high and uncomfortable, missing the one smile service during breakfast , only a goodmorning and roomnr, no extra service, would have made the difference for the other guests
Everything was perfocet excluding response to my request to issue invoice. Reception staff was very friendly and promptly informed me they would issue invoice in 1 hour, but I still don't receive even after 4 days although I asked to issue it. I feel it is difficult for me to use here for business, but very good for private use.
The staff everywhere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really made the stay enjoyable. The bar is amazing with a great atmosphere, and everything throughout the hotel is very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. Everything was great overall. The staff at the reception and the bar were amazing — very friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, I think the amenities could be improved slightly. It would have been nice to have items like hotel slippers, a minibar, and small toiletries such as a vanity kit. The breakfast was good, but in my opinion, it could have had a bit more variety. That said, these are all minor details. The location is absolutely perfect, which makes this hotel a great choice for anyone visiting the city. I would happily stay here again!
On my departure date , i needed to ask the reception about taxi to the airport , it was only one person at the reception, he was on the phone , for a long time , instead to ask me what i need , since he was only one person at the reception, i had to wait for more than 10 minutes, he was talking on the phone , when he finished , i told him i needed taxi urgent to the airport , he just told me that no taxi can come to the hotel , and i needed to walk 200 meters to find a taxi, sorry, this is not acceptable by me, he could pause his telephone conversation for a second , in order to help me .
Friendly and pro-active staff at the reception. I missed scrambled eggs, natural yoghurt, fresh orange juice and glasses for latte macchiato at breakfast. Fresh ginger tea was a plus.
The hotel itself is good. However, my room was located facing the yard, which was not ideal. In addition, both check‑in and check‑out took quite a long time. Even the emailed invoice was incorrect, although I had provided my business card with the correct details. I am still waiting for 4 days for a corrected one.
I loved my stay there - the room was quiet, as requested (except for the overall thin walls, which are unfortunate). I did sleep well and was happy with the hotel as "home base" during my stay. The staff was naturally friendly and welcoming, which was also very nice. Breakfast has a lot of vegan options. I also liked the atmosphere between 6 and 6.30 h at breakfast with dimmed lights and quiet music. A great start of the day! Thank you.
Excellent hotel in perfect location!
Breakfast: expected a full continental breakfast but there were no scrambled eggs nor bacon, limited offer and the low seats are not comfortable for eating. Room: for the prize I at least expect some bottles of fresh water and/or minibar
Nice hotel, beautiful room, good breakfastclose to the station, only there was a faint sewery smell in the bathroom that was really annoying. Receptionist told me they would fix it when I checked out
We travelled with our toddler and we were positively surprised about the kids friendly sofa bed. Our son loved it. We pretty much enjoyed the corner room with such a nice view at 6th floor . The breakfast was delicious. Thank you.

We chose the hotel for its proximity to the train. Location was good overall. The rooms were just so small with no place to put things. No bedside tables! Good bathroom with adequate lighting. The lobby was vast, and usually full of people probably because the rooms were so small. But in the evening it was totally dark there.

Room, staff and breakfast were great. The only issue during our stay was that noise from the bar carried through the building (design issue with external glass?), but thankfully wasn’t too late into the evening.

It’s the second time I’m saying here, first time was great. Second time unfortunately not as great maybe due the expo but night 1 being woken up by a bunch of drunk screaming guys in the elevator is not great. 2nd night at 4:45ish woken up by a woman frantically screaming for help and crying is also not a good experience. Given I’ve paid 700+ euros for a basic room and a sub optimal experience, definitely would not be staying here again.
The room was tiny, cell like, the AC didn't work, apparently it's turned off centrally from early October, regardless of weather or residents preferences. We didn't sleep well, too hot !! For the cost of 335.oo it was really bad value, wouldn't recommend it to anyone. One staff member was very nice and did all he could, the others were disinterested and poorly trained. Typical chain hotel operation, profit motivated little real interest or consideration for customer.
Overall a good experience, only the breakfast was a little uncreative for the 18 Euros price tag.
Great hotel in a fantastic area
I loved the view and overall cleanliness of the hotel room! Would be great to have a wider selection of english speaking tv channels such as NHK, PBS, etc. The vegan options were a huge plus from us! I would also like to mention for the future, something like a mini fridge would be extraordinarily helpful for guests. storing restaurant leftovers, getting ready meals from the store to save money, etc.

My girlfriend and I found our stay really relaxing. The view from our room was terrific, and it was so nice opening the curtains to see it every morning. We were able to get a late checkout, which was really helpful as well, so overall, it was a really peaceful experience.
Very pleasant stay, rooms are comfortable and very clean. Elevators super quick and common/seating area beautifully designed with comfortable nooks everywhere. Staff very friendly and helpful
Overall the hotel is very good. Only problem with unloading our luggage’s, because we could not reach the hotel door directly by car. I suggest the hotel should get some permission from the city to allow hotel guest to park the car for 10 minutes to unload.
A beautiful city centre hotel.
The Location is perfect, with various Shopping malls, restaurants and Sightseeings in close proximity. The view from the rooftop Bar/ Restaurant is amazing. The room that was offered to us was quite spacious, considering we had an infant with us. The hotel staff also provided a baby-Cot as well as other needs we requested. It is a new Hotel, so no surprises that everything was quite clean.
I don't remember how many times I stayed in MotelOne hotels. No surprise. Price/performance best. Breakfast delicious. Rooms are same like any other MotelOne. There was an ongoing renovation next to reception but it is ok and did not effect my stay. Location is great and 2 minutes walking to main station. Happy again.

Fantastic location, absolutely new building (mordern architecture, up-to-date materials and furniture), good service and parking underground - what else you need to stay at the corner of Konigsallee?
Smoking allowed at terrace in lounge and beds too small and pillows are hell. Staff in bar had no clue what they were doing. Not paying attention, forgetting orders, etc. Left the terrace because of people smoking and vaping, smell of full ashtray on the table. The view is great bur when you look down you see dirt, gum, sigarettes, … Looks likes it never gets cleaned.
Nice room on high floor, as requested, thank you. We did not know about renovations going on but the reduced size breakfast (half-price) suited us very well. Noise started mid-morning but we left to catch our train. Morning reception staff much friendlier than evening reception staff!

I had a truly wonderful stay at The Cloud One Düsseldorf. Everything was great – the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety, and the sky bar was beautiful with a great atmosphere. I felt very welcome and well taken care of during my entire stay. Thank you so much for a lovely experience – I would love to come back!

Check-in gik hurtigt, og jeg blev positivt overrasket over, hvor rummeligt og smagfuldt indrettet værelset var. Sengen var utrolig komfortabel, og jeg sov som en drøm. Badeværelset var moderne, rent og veludstyret – med lækre toiletartikler og bløde håndklæder. Der var styr på detaljerne, hvilket gjorde opholdet ekstra behageligt. Morgenmaden næste morgen var også et højdepunkt – et stort udvalg af friske råvarer, hjemmelavede specialiteter og god kaffe. Atmosfæren i restauranten var rolig og indbydende, og personalet var opmærksomme uden at være påtrængende. Beliggenheden var perfekt – tæt på både bymidten og offentlig transport, men stadig roligt og afslappet. Alt i alt var det en fuldendt oplevelse, og jeg ville uden tøven booke her igen. We recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel, and we were blown away from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome – warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was impeccable – beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept like royalty every night. The view from our room was simply breathtaking! Breakfast was a true highlight – generous, varied, and of outstanding quality. You can really tell that attention to detail is a priority here. From freshly baked bread and delicious pastries to local specialties and great coffee, every bite was a treat. The location is perfect – close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. The hotel itself is full of charm and character, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout our entire stay. We’ve stayed at many hotels over the years, but this one truly stands out. We give it our highest recommendation and are already looking forward to coming back. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team – you made our stay unforgettable!
Nice design, but extremely bare and small rooms with no working AC. First room we got was barely enough for one per and not enough room to place luggage on rack, lack of hanging space and no ironing board. We had a miserable evening unable to get the AC to cool the room. we were transferred to another room the following day, same issue, the AC did not work either, but we gave up. Opening the window barely made a difference since there is a rain screen double glassing installed in front. This second room had no luggage rack, no desk, it was beyond bare. The saving grace was the staff that was helpful and smiling all the time.
The interior and the style is the same everywhere, but the people are different. So that makes the difference. There was not a nice check in, but everything else was without problem.
I could have used more power outlets in the room, especially one closer to the little table/desk. The room and bed were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. If I stay in Düsseldorf again, it will be at Motel One.
We stayed for one night and enjoyed the rooftop terrace at night with a drink and a great view and in the morning with our splendid breakfast. Great staff hosted our every need and was always one step ahead. We could relax and kick back.

Hotel was good as always, only the small room airconditioning was loud. The personell at the bar were rude! ( again) they told us not so nice that we can’t sit with 3 people on a 2 people table! The last time we stayed at you we could have any coffee after 8 PM. You should give the staff some hospitality training…
