Virkelig dejlig hotel med venlig og imødekommende personale.
fire alarm went off at 7am in the morning and we got evacuated. my room was left unlocked by the cleaner and door left open and my key crad didnt work on my door on the 2nd day. i also wasnt given water on arrival when my colleague was. also no conditioner in the bathroom...
Very happy with our stay wit a good price/service ratio. Only downsides are the long waiting times before elevators and to have a place at breakfast
The check-in was very fast. The receptionist was very friendly and also offered to print our concert tickets for the afternoon. The staff, in general, was very friendly and more relaxed. I liked it. I am not very fond of the pretentious formality that is very common among big hotels. The room was surprisingly spacious (always compared with Motel One standards—for example, in Motel One Berlin Hackescher Markt, the room was extremely small). The cleanliness was good as well. The location was very convenient. I also liked the reception area. The bar was very welcoming, I suppose that's why it was always busy. I found the value for money ratio quite good. I still believe that the price is on the higher end for what is provided, on the other hand, it is one of the most inexpensive and decent choices in Hamburg.

Zimmer gut, Rezeption - nun ja
My booking was made by a colleague and she entered her name instead of mine. The two receptionists had trouble checking me in, despite me presenting the booking confirmation email with the reference code. It took about 10–15 minutes, which I found to long and annoying. I am used to checking in swiftly at Motel One, but this time I found the experience poor. Both of them weren't rude, but not very friendly either. I would have expected some sort of explanation or excuse.

Good size rooms but a lift was broken so had to wait a while to access my floor.
Had no WiFi in first room we were given. When I informed management of this issue they quickly assigned us another room that had WiFi.

Room very clean and quiet. But cold. Breakfast area (even though I went during the recommended early slot) super packed. Only one elevator was working, which meant a lot of waiting.
Overpriced hotel with no facilities and poor service

Great location in general. Not enough proper seats for breakfast (on the weekend). Breakfast was boring and not as good as in other motel one locations. We found socks under the bed

Central beliggenhed, hyggelig bar og meget fin rengøring.
The lounge was almost permanently flooded with tourists eating, drinking, people in front of the hotel vaping and smoking (don't allow that in front). Street is too loud, hotel is too big. Rooms are boring TV is super annoying (self boot, ugliest image quality ever seen on a TV), auto-closing super tiny bathroom door is annoying, elevators underequiped with the volume of guests, table is too small, ony one chair, wifi was dead as a dodo 3 out of 4 days.

Clean rooms, good value for the price. Rooms are a little small. Would like a little larger night stands or shelves next to the bed and fans in the bathrooms to get the shower steam out would be better. Staff was good, breakfast was good but crowded. It is possible that not all the breakfast guest were actually paid--it was only checked 2 days in the 2 weeks we were there.
I enjoyed my stay at Motel One in Hamburg (Am Michel). Friendly staff and a delicious breakfast.

Everything was great, especially the breakfast. Some points that I found unnecessary: for the TV to turn on every time one enters the room. The fact that the bathroom door cannot stay open but also does not close properly.

Hotel Hamborg am Michel
På vores designhotel ved Hamborgs vartegn Skt. Michaelis Kirke har vi ladet os inspirere af verdensbandet The Beatles' tid i Hamborg. The Fab Four kickstartede nemlig deres karriere på spilletstedet Star Club i gaden Große Freiheit, hvilket vi markerer med klubbens originale stjernelogo på vores Starclub Bar. Hvor The Beatles excellerede i musik, excellerer vi i design. Motel One Hamborg am Michel er udført i et maritimt design, der bl.a. kommer til udtryk gennem modelskibe og skibslamper, en fotocollage med luftbilleder af Hamborg Havn samt pendellamper lavet af gamle taljer og trisser. Tæt på hotellet finder du flere af Hamborgs vigtigste seværdigheder, herunder Reeperbahn, havnen og landgangsbroerne.
